As Biden & Co. leave, they’re doing their best to do as much damage as possible to America before they are finally gone.

Just look at the dirty-laundry list Joe (or whoever’s actually making the decisions) has rammed through as his last days tick down.

More senseless bans on drilling for oil and gas, even after his war on domestic energy helped cripple America strategically and inflict massive price pain at the pump and elsewhere.

Heck, he even moved to squeeze natural-gas exports.

That’s as the administration agreed to yet another insane Paris Accord climate goal to drive down US emissions by close to 70% by 2035.

The White House also loosened visa requirements for foreign workers while inking a labor agreement with federal union that will let more than 40,000 Social Security Administration employees stay hybrid.

Plus, the clemency avalanche, starting with the blanket pardon for crooked son Hunter that Joe promised he would never give, followed by hundreds of commutations for vile bribe-takers, con artists and other sleazoids — as well as letting literal child murderers dodge the death penalty.

Don’t forget the $4.28 billion in student debt relief Biden OK’d just before Christmas (a present for the affluent paid for by the poor: classic progressivism!). 

Or the veto of a bipartisan bill to expand the federal judiciary to un-clog key courts, which the Bidenites turned against because they wouldn’t get to pick the new judges.

It’s clear from the scope and energy of these plans that Joe himself (who can barely stay awake for a full workday) isn’t the chief force behind any of it: It’s staffers driving the car here.

The same staff who’ve been calling most shots for four disastrous years, and so led to a historic and humiliating defeat for Democrats.

Yet hasn’t prompted them to change direction. 

They lost and lost hard — and now they’re taking it out on you.

So Joe can blather all he wants about his love of America.

In these final days of his failed administration, he (and/or his lackeys) are only delivering more failure, showing themselves not just petty and corrupt, but filled with hate for the country they were supposed to serve.

Watching TOUR 22-23 PHALARIS DVD's for the second time.

(Just wanted to write down my thoughts and feelings from watching them, so nothing important here. My random notes for myself, never mind meeee. 😅)

TOUR22 PHALARIS -vol. I-

Schadenfreude is such a strong starter song. I'm dying to experience Oboro live on day. It's so good. 😢 And damn Toshiya is theatrical nowadays! 👀 (Does he practice in front of a mirror or something?)

After a very long break from Diru, watching Kyo feels different now. It feels like he's somehow more into it? I'm very impressed how someone whose skills as a vocalist and performer I already respected a lot evolved to be even better. I wonder if it's because half-assing never crossed his mind, and with that attitude one can evolve into a beast like this? Huge respect. Dance moves are the cherry on top of the cake. 👌

Ochita Koto no Aru Sora! 🤟🤟🤟 Very powerful. 🖤 I want to jump to this aaaaaa.

Somehow Shinya looks so light, almost like he's flying, even when he's hitting the drums like crazy. Since long ago I remember thinking he and Die have this... sense of lightness to them. 🤔 It's beautiful. I cannot explain it, but in Die's case it's that when performing he comes across more relaxed. I suppose it's something about his way of moving, posture, and all that. And face, of course. Kaoru, Toshiya, and Kyo have more of a heavy vibe to them on stage.

Mazohyst of Decadence is fucking impressive. Guitar gives me shivers. (Also, starting from this song Kaoru's face becames more expressive. 😊)

I'm always in awe how all instruments stand out in this band. 🤔 That's one thing I love about DEG; the balance. Everyone gets to shine.

T.D.F.F is such a great live song. I love how this makes the members move. (Is it packed with good memories? 😄)

Great encore songs; Itoshisa ha Fuhai Nitsuki (got me quite emotional); Gyakujou Tannou Keloid Milk, Stuck Man ("Oooosakaaaaaaaa" 👹😁); Clever Sleazoid. Ending with Ningen wo Kaburu! 🤩 Shinya in this one! 🖤🖤🖤

I just love to see how they end the last song; the epic drumming, Kaoru's fingerguns (or drumming??), Toshiya being rough with his bass, Die lifting his quitar up like THIS IS MAH GUITAR 😇🎸. Kyo just died. Thanks.

Stylewise, we got one semi-formal prince, one vampire, one gothic bullfighter, one flashy uncle, and one rock musician. (I love them all equally.)

My first Haiiro no Ginka in decades!!

Sadly my old fanclub items didn't survive the purge of my 20s, but I did recently discover my old envelopes with my previous fanclub member number (I think getting that account back is a lost cause though!)

I remember the [a knot] site having fun things like exclusive desktop wallpapers back in the day. I wish they still did those. I specifically remember some of the brown Withering cd jacket, and some of members in a style like the clever sleazoid jacket (I know I sent them all to my LiveJournal friends on the dl hahah)

Local Legends: Bloodbath! (Matt Farley, 2024)

They locked up Galileo inside his house, they post nasty, envy-fuelled things about Matt Farley on the internet. But a worse persecution would be if they ignored him altogether. The chip on the shoulder is growing large, manifesting in horror revenge movies, in powerpoint presentations, in sleazoid manager/conscience characters who can do away with critics and the unfaithful through lightning bolt VFX. 

Local Legends introduced the tale of the world's most prolific songwriter with desperate but gentle pathos. This updates it with all scorn of and being underappreciated and misunderstood, hammering us onto his side with the subtlety and nuance of a silent movie villain music cue, self-effacing the whole way as though it's the true path to vanity - the highest form of being. I like to let autumn leaves decompose in my yard and so does he. I like these movies and so does he. We'd both like to let you know

3 ships: Winterbaron, obviously. Uhhh, I guess the other ships taking up the most space in my brain at this very moment in time are Helmut/Heinrich Zemocest and Stucky.

First ship: Daisuke/Yamato from Digimon was the first fic I ever read. First ship I got obsessed with was prob Paris/Kim from Star Trek Voyager.

Last song: I think the last song I listened to last night was Clever Sleazoid by Dir en grey

Last film: I kinda half-rewatched Captain America: The First Avenger with some friends on NYE while eating raclette, but the last new film I actually watched was probably Saltburn. Unless I'm forgetting something because Saltburn's taken over so much of my conscious thoughts.

Currently reading: Mostly fanfic, occasionally my Scientific American magazines that pile up, and I started listening to Lolita on audiobook a couple months ago but dropped off, though I'd still like to finish it.

Currently craving: We just finished the Tony's Chocolonely bars I brought back from Germany, and I wish so badly that I'd bought more of them.

Fav color: Blush pink & matte gold, preferably together in soft, glorious harmony

Relationship status: Not married, but not not married

Last thing googled: The spelling of Tony's Chocolonely. Before that, probably words to make sure I was spelling them/using them correctly.

Current obsessions: Zemo, Winterbaron, Daniel Brühl, Saltburn, and I've recently gotten really back into knitting again. Oh, and I started nostalgia playing Princess Maker 2 the other day and now I barely wanna do anything else, so I guess that also counts.

Putin and Netanyahu are both sleazy and corrupt autocrats. They want their sleazoid buddy Donald Trump to win so they can continue their wars and anti-democratic repression.

If Donald Trump wins the election, both wars will get much, much worse.  Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu both want Trump to win the American presidential election so that they can prolong and intensify their brutal wars without the possibility of American interference. Netanyahu has conducted his war in Gaza believing that the Biden administration can’t rein him in before the presidential election without risking severe damage to the political prospects of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris. Netanyahu has purposefully sought to put the Democrats in a bind between the conflicting political demands of two components of the party’s base — a progressive constituency appalled by the war and a centrist faction that backs Israel. Netanyahu has thus forced the Biden administration to engage in a difficult balancing act: supporting Israel, while still pushing for a ceasefire and the long-term goal of the creation of a Palestinian state — a compromise stance that has outraged progressives while also upsetting many conservative Jewish voters. But Netanyahu also knows that if Trump wins, he will give Israel a green light to conduct a far more brutal campaign in Gaza, southern Lebanon, and the West Bank than he has during the Biden administration.

The moment that it becomes apparent that Trump lost the election, Netanyahu will immediately start thinking that a ceasefire is in his best interest.

Bibi's war in Lebanon is a last ditch effort to give a boost to Trump.

For Netanyahu, escalating the war into a regional conflict against Hezbollah and Iran also provides an October surprise designed to damage Democratic chances in the U.S. election.

As for Putin, he might as well be on the ballot with Trump and J.D..

In fact, it is no secret that Trump, Vance, and the MAGA cult that now dominates the Republican Party support Putin and want Russia to win the war and conquer Ukraine. Vance is part of the Christian nationalist base of the party, which loves Putin largely because he has cracked down on gay rights. For his part, Putin sees Trump as his puppet who will meekly stand by while he conquers Ukraine and rebuilds the Russian empire in Eastern Europe. Putin is once again working to help Trump win, and just as he did in 2016, he is using the internet to do it. Russian disinformation designed to help Trump is accelerating in the weeks leading up to the election. In September, the U.S. government alleged that a group of right-wing influencers were secretly being funded by Russia. Moscow has worked hard to amplify conspiracy theories and right-wing narratives.

With Trump back in the Oval Office, Putin and Netanyahu will have carte blanche to do whatever they want. A vote for Trump is a vote against American independence.
