who is your personal favorite pairing/couple out of all of st0rmyverse fics or do you have a ranking of favorites

My favorite pairing really depends on the day, honestly. I go to one or another when I'm really craving writing love and sex from a certain angle.

In LMTCOY/HSH...

WarrTime is my favorite toxic relationship turning legit. In the beginning they were using one another as a self-flagellation of sorts. Now, they've seen exactly what's wrong with the other and, shockingly, both of them have independently decided "I can fix him." The more I explore their relationship in (unpublished) work, they've become more of a stable, mature same-sex relationship, although the sex is still incendiary.

WildTime is always my go-to for "I want to rot my teeth out with fluff." Every time they have sex is like the first time, and Wild keeps Time undeniably young.

Twark is my "baby gay with infallible support from an unlikely source" pairing. Twi is curious and exploratory and is going to make some mistakes, and Dark is both going to enable him and going to be there to help catch him when he stumbles. I also just reaaaally really love writing Dark, no matter the AU.

Legend/Hyrule is good for exploring the comfort of commitment to another person, especially when it comes to exploring new and/or unlikely kinks.

Four/Shadow are honestly a pairing that is quietly dear to my heart. Shadow knows more about Four's past than anyone else, and he is a supportive rock who keeps Four's needs and boundaries at the forefront of their relationship. It might not seem like Shadow gets a lot back in return for this at first glance but, well, love is patient.

Champlight, once I really get going writing them, also goes through a sweet arc of mutual pining and questioning and considering one another from across a room crowded with friends and loved ones who are just like "Get ON WITH IT already!!!"

In the omegaverse series...

I literally cannot get enough of Sky/Time. I CANNOT. Sky is going through a period of intense rehabilitation and healing and learning to trust again, and who better than Time to gently guide him through it? Similarly...

Sky and Wild are such opposites in this AU that, naturally, they're going to attract. Wild might seem promiscuous and carefree, but his feelings toward Sky are stronger than he lets on. We'll see more of this in later chapters and stories.

And in this AU, Warrlight + Wild is probably my #1 for pairings where shit's about to get INTERESTING. And not only because Warriors and Twilight are about to turn hard and fast the wrong way down a one-way street.

And, of course, the poly boys Sky, Twi, and Warriors (+ Sun) are the best for gentle exploration and unconditional love. Their relationship, at its core, is so innocent and wholehearted that it's hard not to adore them. They're another one I turn to for tooth-rotting fluff.

Honestly it's criminal that dawnguard came out in 2012 and I've sunk a considerable amount of my playtime in skyrim with serana as the only follower I'll ever have and only now do I learn that you can cure her vampirism. Thank you, anon, for being my first ask! I hope that you enjoy what my brain decided to spew out for this.

For once, I didn't latch on to spice and instead embraced some mild hurt.

Under the cut for length and for mentions of battle, injury and hurt.

SkyTime - Stay Strong Kisses

It had been too good to be true that they had found a place of relative safety in which to recoup and regroup; the dilapidated old building barely had a roof and there were far too many walls missing for it to be considered a building anymore. But for weary, battle worn heroes, it would do.

That was until the horde came.

At first there had only been a handful of monsters, nothing seasoned warriors couldn’t handle, but it soon became as if the monsters were sending some form of message to each other about the location and weariness of their targets.

The slow waves of enemies over the course of hours were tiring enough in that they were just the wrong side of relentless that made getting any form of rest near impossible. Tiredness soon crept into weary bones and that was when things got considerably worse.

Though they are not heroes for naught, even they have limits, and the oncoming onslaught of not only numerous monsters, but bigger and stronger foes proved to be too much even for nine seasoned heroes.

Four had been the first to go down after getting too close to the swing of a spiked bat of a white bokoblin, the sound of ribs breaking heard across the battlefield. Sky had been there just a fraction too late to stop the damage, but he had been there in time to prevent further injury and dispatching of the bokoblin with what looked to be relative ease, the only tell to his exhaustion being the panting rasps of his breath.

Hauling Four up and supporting the smaller heroes' weight, Sky brought Four back to the group under the protective shots of the others covering for them but the drop in attack power from the heroes was too much and soon the monsters were far too close and things became far too dangerous.

“It’s too much, we can’t take them like this and Four is down. We need a better plan!” Hyrule voice strained to be heard over the crackling of the magic he unleashed.

“We should split up, form two groups to divide and conquer!” Though Time knew that Warriors was the best in matters of strategic importance, that the captains suggestion was probably the wisest, the thought of breaking the group up left Time feeling vulnerable. They were each others strengths, but as Wind took a grazing arrow to the thigh, Time soon realised they were each others greatest weaknesses also.

When a Moblin went after a limping Wind, Time made the choice.

“Wars is right; Twilight, you’re with me, we’ll share carrying Wind, damnit!--” The group were beginning to be pushed back, monsters closing in with yet more seemingly coming from nowhere. “Wild can cover us with his bow.” As if proving his point, Wild’s next arrow took out a charging Hinox, the heft of the creature falling to the ground that shook underfoot from the impact but the heroes stood strong, fighting on and solidifying their plans.

“Sky, take Legend, Hyrule, Four and Wars. Divide the monsters, defeat them and get to safety.”

A brief lull in battle afforded the heroes to group up and hightail it out of there, Twilight carrying Wind with surprisingly little complaint from the sailor. Wild and Legend stayed on sentry with their bows to cover their companions departure as Time was the last to leave having made sure the others were all free from the scene. He’d been about to move off himself when a panicked look from Sky stilled his retreat.

“Time, I–” Sky needn’t say anymore, Time knew. Time always knew somehow, pulling Sky behind one of the only few remaining walls of the dilapidated building.

“You’ve got this, get them to safety. I believe in you.” A hasty kiss pressed to the furrowed brow of Sky did little to quell the worry in the chosen heroes chest so Time grasped Sky’s hand in his own and brought their foreheads together.

“Stay strong like I know you are.” Time’s chapped lips met Sky’s sweat-dappled forehead as the older hero takes just a second to breathe in his companion and press all of his devotion and sincerity into the kiss.

“I will find you, I promise. Now go!”

With a final kiss to Time’s gloved hand, Sky retreats to the thrup of Wild’s arrows taking down foes and keeping their escape route clear. Leaving the poor cover of the wall, Time took the opposite direction, Wild retreating with him.

Time would never break a vow, and he would find the rest of the group and bring them all back together again. He had to, he’d sealed it with a kiss after all.

oh my goodness skytime my beloved

does sky ever try to cook for time? like he's definitely not wild's level, but I imagine he's not making eldritch atrocities that would put gordon ramsay into immediate cardiac arrest (cough cough hyrule).

is there anything in specific they buy/look for for each other when shopping? we know time gets sky sweets, but does sky get anything for time?

is sky always scared of lightning/thunder or is it just when he's not in his right mind? and how does time help him down from that if it's frequent?

does time ever get really protective/defensive of sky? like in the mornings, if he's not fully up will he be sort of growly if someone tries to wake sky? or when they're in battle, will he unintentionally pay a bit more attention to how sky's doing?

when they have nightmares, what do they do to calm each other down?

Oh my god PLEASE this is EXACTLY the distraction I need tonight, I appreciate all the thoughts!! Under the cut for length.

Sky didn't cook a whole lot growing up in the Knight's Academy, and during his adventure, survival was more about foraging than anything else. Even during his travels with the group, he's the one most often picking berries off of bushes as they walk along for a little fast food fix. If he did try to cook for Time, I'm sure he'd enlist Wild's help in making something special. Knowing how Time enjoys fishing, I'd bet Sky would try to make a fish pie. Wild would walk him through layering the dough to make it look like a fish and although Sky does have some artistic skill, it's still going to look endearingly lop-sided.

Sky keeps an eye out for honey sticks when he's perusing market stalls, knowing they're a favorite of Time's. Sky's also always on the hunt for more comfortable lightweight bedding for Time. That man sleeps with the equivalent of a rough horse blanket on the road, no wonder he's sore all the damn time.

In addition to keeping an eye out for sweets for Sky, Time is also secretly on the hunt for a special piece of jewelry for his mate.

Sky always has some level of trepidation about thunderstorms, similar to Legend, but when he's very stressed or not in a good headspace is when they really push him over the edge. Anytime a storm is brewing Time is keeping closer tabs on Sky, and he's usually the first to recommend seeking shelter at the hint of electrical activity. Closer, louder strikes will make Sky whimper without fail. Now that Sky is more apt to seek comfort in such cases you'll usually find him in Time's lap during a storm, wrapped firmly in his arms and tucked under his chin until the worst of it passes.

Time knows that Sky can hold his own in a firefight and while he keeps mental tabs on him, the safest thing to do in such a situation is give Sky space to work. He takes Sky's morning grumpies in stride and lets whoever woke him incur the wrath they deserve. But where Time is more defensive of Sky is when they're in situations where Sky is blatantly uncomfortable, such as being in the company of large numbers of unknown alphas. The two of them are never clingy in public, by any means, but in certain company Time gives off all of the subtle posturing signals to warn other alphas to give them space: the hand on Sky's lower back as they're walking, the direct eye contact with anyone who takes notice of Sky in any way, the close proximity at all times. Certainly having the other sharp alphas in the group looking out for Sky also has the intended effect on anyone who strays too close.

There was that whumptober piece that showed how Time deals with the worst of Sky's nightmare episodes: being patient with him, not invalidating Sky's feelings, working with him to make him more comfortable and help him out of it. Time's bad nights are few and far between, and he's more likely to bolt up in bed gasping than actually vocalizing or devolving into a major panic attack. Heavy sleeper though he is, Sky will be right there with him while Time's coming out of it, and Time will typically hug Sky--a little too hard, perhaps--until he has his wits about him again and he can let go.
