Digital sketch of a Skyrim shire horse as a warrior! Rework of a really old pencil sketch of mine.
Background is collaged screenshots of assets in the game and drawn on. I'll draw them properly if/when I finish this :D

Saw a post the other day that was like “do you ever get homesick for a fictional place?” and like yes, gods yes. Every day I wish I was sitting atop Bag End overlooking the Shire. Everyday I wish I could wander the valleys of Skyrim. Everyday I wish I could bask in the sun on Pabu. I feel a sadness thinking of these places and missing them like they’re home when I’ll never actually set foot in any of them, and I think that’s one of the beautiful things about stories and fantasy

I'm gonna end up making more skyrim animal mods just because it consistently bothers me that everything about skyrim is clearly intended to be based on vikings and other scandinavian cultures, but for some reason all the domestic animals are breeds from britain/ireland. why are there shire horses and wolfhounds and highland cattle. which idk shouldn't all of those be over in high rock instead?
like. they have native cow and dog and horse breeds in scandinavian countries. that's a thing. you could have used icelandic horses and elkhounds. and dola cows apparently. I don't know anything about cows but I looked that up in less than five minutes and found a more fitting breed than highland cows which are from scotland, bethesda.

do you have mod suggestions
Hey! So while I haven't ever really modded Skyrim myself (save for a failed attempt in 2016), I do know a number of mods that may interest you!
Beyond Skyrim: Bruma — a first tease at the bigger Beyond Skyrim: Cyrodiil mod that's to come. Revisit the city of Bruma over 200 years after the Oblivion Crisis. Tangle with Thalmor agents, some orc whose wife skipped town, the infamous Colovian fur helmet, and a visit to the beautiful Chapel of St. Martin.
Legacy of the Dragonborn — There's a museum opening up in Solitude just down the street from the Blue Palace. Entering ultimately sends the PC on numerous quests to find items to fill the museum with. I think I've heard that it's best to start the mod with a new character save and let the mod direct the game play.
Live Another Life: Alternate Start — Are you tired of the same carriage ride into Helgen, near death via dragon, and having to follow Ralof or Hadvar through the shortest most repetitive dungeon in the game? Then approach the talking statue of Mara and pick literally ANYTHING ELSE!!!
The Shire — Do you want to go to Middle-earth from Skyrim? Too bad. This is Middle-Nirn. Visit the Tolkien rip-off you always wanted in Skyrim and hang out with some hobbits. They're short. The rangers are angsty and speak in obvious light metaphors. BUT IT IS FUN SO GOOOO
Second Great War — Imperial? Stormcloak? . . . secretly a Thalmor wannabe? Lead the charge in the Second Great War and lead your side to victory — or defeat. Settings allow for customizable warfare, making each playthrough a new experience. Mod content starts post Skyrim Civil War.
N.B: These are five major mods that I know come highly recommended. There are others that I've heard are good, including the Skygerfall, Summerset, Tools of Kagrenac, Serana Dialogue Addon, Midwood Isle, Clockwork Castle, and Saints and Seducers Extended, but I don't know enough to give more in-depth information. HeavyBurns on YouTube is worth checking out as he has multiple mod list videos that go through expanding or changing different parts of the game.
If any of my followers want to share their modalists, that'd be much appreciated!

OooooOOOooooo what kind of games? >.>
The Sims
I have never once played a normal household and I have over 2k hours logged.
Hollow Knight
Darkest Dungeon
Undertale
And of course the game I Art Directed, Bata
I also used to play skyrim before my roommate moved the PS4 into his room and that was the end of that. Here's my basement where I managed to collect 81 bodies before I was away from my house too long and they despawned.
Oh yeah and mariokart wii, but nobody wants to play with me anymore because I whoop their asses while screaming waluigi. It's what I play when I'm extremely worked up and need to relax.
I played Mass Effect and my sister kept asking me why I was making shepherd a man and well, now you know.
I think I played windwaker at the behest of an ex who was a little cross at me for naming my character Mom. He doesn't know a thing about Real Gamers.
Oh but he did show me Shadow of the Colossus, and even though I haven't played it since, it remains an extremely important piece of media to me. I wrote my physics essay on it. I wrote my next physics essay on the Bee Movie.
So yeah.
Next on the menu after Undertale is either Deltarune or Hades. Depends on where I can cause the most chaos.

my basement in skyrim that I filled with corpses
Reblog and put the video game location that makes you feel an unparalleled, aching serenity, the video game location where you go there and just walk around without doing anything because just being there heals your heart a little bit For me it’s the orphanage beach in yakuza 3

when u get this u have to put 5 songs 🎵 u actually listen to, publicly. then, send this ask to 10 of your favorite followers (non-negotiable, positivity is cool)✨
Thank you both! @momolady you're so kind to think of me too!!
I usually only listen to music when I'm writing, and I can't have words/lyrics, so I listen to a lot of soundtracks, but... here are some of my favs:
Return of the Eagle (Eagle 2011)
Vergen by Night (Witcher 2 soundtrack)
Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West soundtracks (don't make me choose a track, although 'In the Flood - Lovisa's version' is a Kotaloy song and you can pry that from my cold dead hands).
Skyrim atmospheres on YouTube
This 'The Shire' remix
I'm a nerd and a dork and I don't listen to current music :). I also listen to a lot of early (european) music (Tallis, Palestrina, Weelkes, Dowland (Andreas Scholl's voice is truly unearthly), de Victoria etc.). Edit: Links added to the early european composers too because if I can get one person to listen to them and enjoy them i'm a happy alto 2)
