I don't know how to start this post.

I have an OC called Skyler Crownes (CROWN-NEZ), and just. goddamn I like making her suffer apparently. I mean that's what OCs are for but like

Her parents were murdered two hours after she was born. This means that she doesn't actually know them, and therefore doesn't really know what she's missing.

She has an older sister (Sarah, 18 years older than her) and an older brother (Scott, 9 years older than her). And they've taken care of her. So she doesn't know what she's missing.

Her parents were great people, and the only signs of her loss are her siblings' loss and sharing their experiences with Skyler.

And throughout her childhood, they gave her the option of "you don't have to consider them your parents. You didn't know them." And then she chose not to.

So technically Davis and Sasha aren't her parents, because she hasn't ever known them.

She doesn't miss them, because she's never fucking met them.

But this also means that their death wasn't really a loss for her. This was always the case. She never knew them, and so how could she really miss them?

Every loss in namely Scott's life dulled when he compared it to his parents'. It's the worst loss he ever experienced, and ever would experience.

But Skyler? She doesn't have that comparison. As a kid, losing her favorite blanket was the end of the world. Her Greek tragedy. It was the worst loss that ever happened to her.

And she grew up more, experiencing more and more things in life.

And then her best friend of seven years, Helena, died when she was twelve.

And then she understood her siblings' loss. And then everything else dulled in comparison.

And then she fucking understood.

thinking about the abandoned breaking bad season 1 finale where jesse would have died had vince not been bewitched by aaron paul heart and soul in the context of the au......it would of course be walt's fault, because walt is not only unsympathetic to jesse as a person but disbelieving of his disability (and stays that way until he's forced to accept it in "four days out"). how easy would it be for that season 1 finale to end in jesse's death. the driving force for that episode is walt telling jesse to do things, getting him to do things, putting their safety in jeopardy to do things. offering twice the amount of meth to tuco despite having none of it made yet, forcing jesse to collect the supplies and break into the warehouse to steal the methylamine with him. this episode is walt indulging in how Good and Superior and Smart he's feeling right now by taking risks to satisfy himself (having sex with skyler in the parking lot, asking tuco for more money, smoking with hank): it's so easy to imagine one of these risks that walt is taking for his own ego leading to jesse's death. walt is so ready to ride the high of delivering quality product to tuco and getting his money that he marathons their cook in jesse's basement, not letting jesse step away to take his meds because "they need to get this done". they show up to their meet-up location with tuco, walt on cloud nine from how well he's done and how much money they're about to make, and jesse starts seizing, hitting his head hard on the way down. walt panics and starts to reach for his phone to call 911, only for tuco to pull his gun on him ("u get the feds out here and ur DEAD.") and force walt to hand over all the product and wait for his guys to clear out before calling Anyone. once the cars have driven away, walt frantically calls 911 and gives the location because there's a puddle of blood crowning jesse's head and aside from a few fasciculations, he's not moving. as walt hangs up though, he realizes that he can't be here when the authorities arrive. it would be horrifically easy to link him to the drug trade if he's just standing here with a bag of cash and an unconscious kid with a criminal record. walt grabs the bag, spares one last remorseful glance at jesse (he's fine, the kid survived getting his shit kicked in by tuco's crew, he's going to be fine), and makes himself scarce before the sirens start blaring. he'll see on the news later that evening that a body was recovered. 24-year-old jesse bruce pinkman. walt didnt even know the kid's middle name. he took the risks, he played his cards right, and now he has the money. walt won. and jesse paid the price.

Raihan’s been all over the world, travelling seven regions before settling on Galar because its close to home and because he made the most amount of friends there

The process in which a new Champion is chosen if the current one dies or retires is complicated. They have to have a list of at least four trainers who they would recommend for the Champion position in such cases ready, and then those selected trainers would have to battle with the Gym Leaders and Elite Four (assuming that the people on the list isn��t a Leader or Elite)

Mustard’s successor was a Poison, Ice, and Psychic type specialist who hailed from Galar’s Tundra

Leon wrote down Sonia and Raihan as who would be the ones to take his crown should anything tragic befall him, but he also has Mustard on that list just in case

Ages: 12 (Allister), 14 (Hop), 15 (Marnie, Bede), 17 (Bea, Avery, Klara, Hyde), 20 (Sonia, Leon, Milo), 21 (Raihan, Piers, Nessa), 22 (Gordie)

Had the roles been reversed a bit, Sonia would've been Galar's Champion

That's due to Sonia being a potential Sword to Leon's potential Shield, the wolves choose people who were always set to be on even playing fields in terms of combat capabilities. But if there was ever a point where that balance is tipped over to the favour of one, then the synergy between the Sword & Shield together in combat would be disastrous

A lot of trainers generally have monotype teams due to the easier training, food, and care requirements

Leon & Sonia both got a Kubfu but Sonia gave up too soon and Leon got lost

Sonia would’ve chosen the Tower of Water and Leon would’ve chosen the Tower of Darkness

Sonia thought that since she’s friends with Nessa and thus familiar with water types, it would’ve been easier on her to go through the Water Tower

Leon thought the Tower of Darkness sounded tougher, but after getting a bit too lost he decided that either would work but he would’ve preferred the Tower of Darkness

Raihan started his battle practice with Sandstorms in the Isle, which continued to happen once he found a place that would regularly have and be accustomed to Sandstorms (ex: the Desert in Hoenn)

Despite that, he caught his Tyranitar in Kalos and brought it along for his journey through Unova

Klara and Avery are siblings who hail from one of the settlements on the Tundra. To try and bring more fame and attention to their precious home, Klara tried to become a popstar and Avery tried to become a famous Psychic alongside some distant relatives

They quickly switched to try and become Gym Leaders once those goals prove to be too difficult, but after finding a more than worthy challenger in the MC & Co.

The Master Dojo is actually a multi-story building but also an extremely wide one, not as wide as most would except but wider than they think

When not used to be a trail for the one who has the Isle’s Sacred Armour, its a regular training building

But if one requests it, they can have the special training activated for them and a few others for a session

Mustard did use to be the Stow-On-Side Gym Leader, but that was years before Bea’s time so she doesn’t even know it until she visits the Isle for training

Hyde’s a teenager, he’s just really short

He half-assedly participated in the Gym Challenge and got his ass kicked by her in the Cup

Honey is still part of her old Company, but as a distant investor and consultant

Mustard only allows himself to go all out on Four trainers: Leon, Honey, Sonia, and Opal

Sonia doesn’t know that she’s one of them because Self-Esteem Issues

He adds Marnie, Bede, and Hop to this list once he sees their potential

He also adds Raihan when that boy finally becomes Leon’s official Rival, Piers when he finally finds confidence in his battling skill, and Nessa

Leon, surprisingly, didn’t get lost in the Isle except for the one time when he was going to the Tower with Kubfu, but that was due the raging Sandstorms

Sonia also had a Kubfu, but due to storm she gave up and returned it, no objections

Leon & Sonia’s starters are actually from Mustard, but due to someone pulling some strings, they got them as their first Pokemon

Leon’s capable of hand-to-hand combat, Sonia’s an expert on disarming someone with a weapon

Despite this, Leon’s a Shield and Sonia’s a Sword

They returned their Kubfu to Mustard because they felt like they failed

In another timeline, Mustard would give those two to the next Sword and Shield, to— Hop

Mustard’s lost partner Pokemon is not known by the press of current times, only Opal truly knows what it was. As does Honey. Some guess it was an Eevee, many more suggest an Eeveelution

The only way Sharpedo don't go after you while in the water is either to use a boat or have several water type Pokemon out and around for your own safety

Don't use red boats though, they confuse it for prey. Leon and Piers learned the hard way

Nessa refuses to train any of the Psyduck line because back in the Isle as a challenger, she saw one sneeze in a cave and released a bit shockwave that punted her to a wall and knocked her out

Honey terrifies everyone of the young Adult Crew (Piers, Leon, Sonia, Raihan, Nessa, Milo, and Gordie) as much as they adore her

Crown Tundra Hcs

Malcom was the one who always looked out for both of them, him and Peony, when they were kids so Peony could have a childhood

This, in turn, made Malcom a lot more serious and ‘mature’ at a younger age while Peony is a bit too naive as an adult

The Mayor of the settlement is Klara and Avery’s grandfather, who raised them alongside the settlement after he took them in after their parents died

Avery and Klara practically inhaled and ate up every piece of information they could find on the King, because he could make their home better, right? He could make it so their friends don’t have to leave with their parents to the big city, right?

Calyrex watched Klara and Avery grow up, the two kids being it only source of power for years, but then they left, not long after giving up on believing it’s ‘fairy tale’

That doesn’t stop the two siblings from trying to restore the faith in the lost King, especially after hear two kids younger than they speak vividly and furiously about myths and legends and gods

Oh yeah I ranted a little bit about Skyler in a post. She's an OC in iw8

did I mention that iw8 is technically a Harry Potter fanfic. that crosses over with Percy Jackson. and also keeper of the lost cities. but I tend to ignore that bc it diverged primarily into family dynamics and shit bc the main family (Crownes) (Crown-nez) has a long line of people and just. a lot of people with different dynamics and shit and I could probably stop ranting but honestly I'm having fun

Okay so the main character--im unsure if I'm gonna change her name or not--is named Sarah Crownes. Which is the self insert that got out of hand and she was a Mary Sue fucking overpowered as hell (she's still overpowered but it's less relevant now) and she's massively fucked up

Anyways Sarah has a younger brother called Scott, and a younger sister called Skyler. They're all 9 years apart, and Sarah just turned 18 by the time Skyler was born.

I killed their parents, Sasha Black (yes she's related to sirius. they are twins. yes it's cringe. shut up. embrace the cringe. maybe.) and Davis Crownes (Hermione's mom's brother. now we don't know if Hermione's mom has siblings. but we also don't even know her fucking name so TECHNICALLY Davis can be canon anyways I digress) on the same day that Skyler was born (December 24, 1997). don't blame me, blame Voldemort. it was Voldemort.

Unfortunately, I fucked over Sarah bc why not. Davis and Sasha made Sarah the primary like. person of their will to take care of Scott and Incoming Baby once she turned 18 (December 18, 1997. born 1979) and like.

Sarah is grieving and also fighting in a fucking war when they die and leave the kids to her but also everyone else on their list is either ALSO FIGHTING IN THE FUCKING WAR or otherwise unfit. Like Remus? bro he's not doing well. also in war. the Weasleys? in war. Paul and Alyssa (OCs)? fighting in war.

like. they're all fucked.

also I made this decision like ages ago when I was less mature and less understanding of world, but Sarah sent Scott to Camp Half Blood and Skyler to Camp Jupiter. The reason they're at separate and not at the same is bc Sarah didn't want Scott to feel absolutely over responsible at all times over Skyler and just. yeah

but I feel like there's gotta be a more seamless way of her to do that than just sending them to camps bc she can't take care of them but I haven't figured that out yet anyways

This was one of those rare soft moments for him, he doesn't always show this side to any but a few. Sky happened to be one, they were alone together walking he managed to snag a few lavender flowers before the snow fully buried them. Slowly tending them into a crown, grabbing the others arm to stop them for but a mere few seconds. Placing the delicate ring on their head, as he placed a hand under their chin tenderly lowering them enough to place a kiss on their forehead.

The blue hedgehog was planning to check the front yard, but he didn't expect someone to visit and especially Shadow. The Snow just finally fallen down last night and the duo had quite the snow day and celebrating the first winter over instant hot chocolate and pre made soups that they bought from the market.

Seeing the sight of Shadow with lavender quite amused him and watching the Ultimate Lifeform creating a fragile flower crown from the calming floral. Of course he accepts the crown by slightly lowering his head. Oh he was about to make a Knights of the Round Table quip at Shads, Yet another unexpected twist happened. Sky felt a gentle lift under his chin and seeing the other hedgehog taken initiative to kiss on the forehead.  

Skyler just froze from the kiss and forgot how the body functions and feeling his face flushed pink. Feeling flustered and at a loss for words and forgetting his quip. He needed a minute to shake it off, but still feeling a mixture of confusion and yet a sense of awkwardness. Sky doesn’t know how to even return this kind of feeling since he never really had to deal with this type of love before. A romantic love, An unfamiliar territory that he never thought he would dare to cross. 

“Uh..Heh heh...Th-Thanks? You really got me good this time. Hey I... uhh....Tails just heat up some leftovers if ya want some?”

Kendall Roy: Walter White From Manhattan

[Spoiler Alert] Stand-up comedians often use 'The Call-back' technique, where they deliver jokes at the end of their performance that reference earlier jokes. It always amazes me when they execute this technique flawlessly, seamlessly connecting their jokes from the beginning to the end of their set without me even realizing it. In the world of cinema, I felt the same way when I witnessed the tragic endings of Kendall Roy and Walter White. But honestly, the endings shouldn't feel so tragic because we knew about their reckless behavior from the start of the series. May 28th, 2023, may have been the most anticipated day by fans of the HBO TV series: the succession as it marked the release of the season finale, S4E10: 'With Open Eyes.' Up until S4E9: 'Church and State,' I couldn't guess who would inherit Logan Roy's throne, as the last position seemed to be held, in a way, by Shiv amidst the significant setbacks of Ken-Rom's maneuver due to Roman's burnout in front of the altar. Yet, Kendall is just being Kendall, the eldest son with many obsessions to become his father's successor. It's no wonder S4E9 ended with Kendall asking Hugo to bark for him in his mission to sabotage Matsson and Shiv.

Kendall undergoes an extraordinary character build-up in this fourth season. Starting the season in a less promising position, he surprises us with remarkable actions like the impressive presentation in Living +, his powerful eulogy replacing Roman, and the intense maneuver against Matsson. As a naïve viewer, I felt this final season was deliberately built for Kendall after all his grief and sacrifices in the previous three seasons.

And I was wrong. Kendall is still Kendall. The call-back is made.

In the final episode, S4E10, Kendall's portrayal vividly reminds us of the Kendall we encountered at the beginning of the series: reckless, emotional, and fragile. His pushy behavior throughout the episode reaches its peak when he utters the mantra, "I'm the eldest boy," which immediately makes Shiv and Roman realize that Kendall is unfit to sit on their father's throne. Instead of remaining calm and persuasive as he was in previous episodes, Kendall explodes like being possessed by the spirit of her late father.

Ultimately, the Waystar Royco throne doesn't fall to Ken, Shiv, or Rom but to Tom. It is a truly tragic ending for Ken, somewhat relieving for Rom and mixed emotions for Shiv. Ken spends his final moments sitting lonely at the Hudson River and gazing at the sunset, which can also be interpreted as the "sunset" for his career and obsessions.  It is a brutal ending for him.

The reason for Kendal is the new Walter White.

Reflecting on the ending of Kendall Roy's story automatically recalls the ending of Walter White's story. Upon further reflection, I discovered that they have several similarities. Firstly, they get nothing at the end of their tales except for a significant amount of money they can't enjoy. Kendall is left with solitude, much like Walter White, although Walter’s ending is more honorable; successfully takes revenge on his enemies. Furthermore, they both end up in the same place representing their life journeys: Walter in the meth lab and Kendall facing the "Water."

Another similarity is how their towering egos and greed force them to relinquish the crowns they were so close to attaining. Their ego also drives away colleagues who were often by their side and becomes an obstacle in the future. We must remember how Walter was willing to dispose of Mike, betray Jesse, and even hurt Skyler, his wife, due to an absurd obsession. Similarly, in the recent finale episode, Kendall loses control, yelling at Pregnant Shiv and hitting Roman due to a lost vote. Ken’s ending could have been different if he had been more composed and calmer.

Furthermore, I also see similarities in their circles. I see Skyler in Shiv and perceive Jesse in Roman. Both Shiv and Skyler are reluctant to see Walter and Kendall "win," so they often act against what Walter and Kendall desire. Shiv and Skyler also appear "smart" but are frequently deceived by their partners in crime. Meanwhile, Rom and Jesse share a similar trait in that they are not fully aligned with Ken and Walter's obsessions, but their inferior and innocent nature allows Ken and Walter to capitalize on them. Rom and Jesse want to break free from the circle and live free and unburdened, as evident in their smiles and shouts in the final episode.

Putting aside this naïve analysis, I feel that Breaking Bad and Succession delivered compact, intense, and brutal season finales. These season finales managed to deceive viewers completely by masterfully building up the characters of Ken and Walter, only to shatter them in the end. Throughout the season, I tried to detach myself from both of them and hoped for a happy or peaceful ending to the series.  I was absolutely failed and wrong, and then I must admit that I was tricked by a clever ‘call back’ made by Jesse Armstrong and Vince Gilligan.

I really do enjoy reading and watching cartoons of Princess' trapped in towers. Dragons that spewed fire surrounding them always was cool and how a Prince would appear and save her.

This is not that story. I tried to write something original and came up with this. So I would like to say Enjoy.

Everyday he would wait for the return of the Princess. For the day a brave Prince would walk through the castle halls and tell of him saving the Princess from the tyrannys of a dragon. He ached for the day it would arrive. But for now he had been in his little room. A bedroom that let him see the kingdom as he would awaken. He would walk to the balcony, seeing the sights of the bustling kingdom before turning away and performing his duty as their King. 

Today was different.

Harold a sword on his neck first before anything else. He closed his eyes, raising his hands up. 

“Father, I’ve come for the throne.” 

His eyes shot back open, recognizing the voice behind him. “Princess Skyler. What is the meaning of this?” 

“Queen actually.” Skyler retorted. “Hand the kingdom over.” 

Harold turned around, staring right into her green eyes. He swallowed a lump before speaking. “You look just like your mother.” 

“Cut the crap.” Skyler pressed the sword harshly, “you locked me in a tower with a starving dragon.” 

“That I did. But you have to understand why I had to do so.” 

“Pray tell, what was so important?” She snapped back, her eyes narrowing. 

“I needed a worthy heir to save you. Where is he anyway?” 

“An heir was more important than growing up with me?” Skyler seemed to blink tears forming in her eyes. “Locking me away in a tower was more important to you then anything else? Really.” 

“It would prove to the people of the kingdom that their new king was capable of vanquishing the threat of a dragon.” 

Skyler shook her head, “I’ve watched hundreds get burned alive by the dragon.” 

“They were not up to the task then Princess Skyler.” Harold sighed. “But I would like to see who save my darling little princess.” 

“You’re looking at her.” Skyler snarled. “I saved myself without your ridiculous Prince saving.” 

Harold felt his blood drain. “You-”

“I saved myself.” Skyler held the sword higher. “There were many swords I could choose from. All the Princes that tried to rescue me dropped swords, armour. Just practiced until I found the sword I wanted and came to conquer this kingdom.” 

“Conquer?” 

“You still refuse to give the crown up. So yes.” Skyler nodded her head. “Conquer.” 

Harold gave a chuckle. “I should lock you back up for even thinking you would get away with trying to murder your own father. I’ll have the whole kingdom think you’ve gone mad from staying in a tower alone. Guards!” 

He waited for his troops to arrive, but all he heard was echoes of an empty hallway. “Guards! Your king requests your arrival!” 

“They’re not coming father. I would think they are busy with a problem of their own, or at least incinerated.” 

“What do you mean incinerated?” Harold huffed. 

“You gave me a very hungry dragon to guard me.” The sun to the room was blocked off, the light starting to dim. 

Harold turned, staring into giant greens eyes that stared right back at him. 

“Training him wasn’t difficult.” 

The roof of the room was crashed into by the dragon’s claws, a growl emitting from it. Smoke rose from it’s nose, the room growing thick with smouldering heat. 

“Give up the throne.” Skyler gave him a smile. “Or the whole city will feel what your army had felt.”
