A Headcanon Dump 2 - Electric Boogaloo

Because I needed these out of my head. No, I won't apologize for these.

Skwisgaar may have jumped from band to band out of sheer boredom, but another glaring issue for him was addictions. He gets dumped by his 2nd band for being a raging addict and manages to get clean, then follows through on it with the rest of his bands. When he's the only one sober enough to play competently, it gets annoying at best or devestatingly tempting at worst.

This also ties in with his other much less obvious addiction - sex, and women and their attention in general. At first, it was something he could do to show he wasn't just big talk - on top of craving some kind of maternal figure for a time to pamper him - that eventually spiraled into his new addiction. Due to the rather toxic enviroment the boys surround themselves with, based on dated stereotypes and what not, no one bats an eye at Skwisgaar falling dick first into a pile of women. Unfortunately, this also became a double-edged sword, where Skwisgaar feels pressured to perform his best in this area, too.

His worst point was immediately after Toki's kidnapping. He hits hard drugs, a first for him with the band. I like to think Pickles immediately tries to sober him up enough to at least not become completely useless. Pickles may be the first band member to really see what Toki really means for Skiwsgaar outside of their call response dynamic on stage.

This said, Skwisgaar probably hates being around Toki post-DR, to see how much mental damage the kidnapping and torment did to his best friend. He can't stand Toki when he is age-regressed because to Skwisgaar, it's a reminder that they didn't try hard enough to find him. It breaks his heart to see his friend literally losing grip with reality, all because they were too busy partying to go find him sooner. He tries to make it up to Toki when he is back to himself, but there's a deep guilt that eats at him for not finding him sooner, for choosing to go back to his addictions and relapsing instead of trying to help find him.

I want to believe that Pickles kinda let the others know what was going on with Skwisgaar when he first got high with them after the kidnapping. Pickles, despite being completely anti-sober, realizes that perhaps there are people who need to be limited if not cut off, and with Skwisgaar he tries his best to limit his access to whatever potent drugs he has on hand.

By the time AOTD rolls in, Skwisgaar has been sober again, mentally strained from the ordeal with Toki, and doesn't have a stready friend to rely on like he used to. Since Bookklok, he and Toki drifted apart so much that even if he is glad that they rescued Toki and he's back he can't really get over the damage Toki's book did to him.

They try to talk about it, realizing that perhaps their dynamic may have changed permanently, and Skwisgaar feels like he lost what he used to have with Toki - a wonderful friendship that got destroyed by his ego and pride. He apologizes, sincerely, but he feels like Toki and him lost trust in each other; Skwisgaar trusted Toki to keep his secrets instead of using them to cut him down, and Toki isn't over the whole 'party to forget' era that the band engaged in to avoid facing the reality of his absence.

Nowadays, he doesn't get high, but when things get to be too much or they push him too far, he drinks and drinks until he blacks out. When he's drinking normally, he gets incredibly flirty with everyone except Toki; it has led to some awkward situations and accusations, primarily from Murderface, to which Skwisgaar says was done in jest.

Skwisgaar has gone to Twinkletits on very few occasions, mostly to get anxiety meds and to cope with his newfound loneliness in the band. He's been encouraged to seek new connections or change up the ones he has now.

Speaking of which, he and Magnus used to be best friends. So much so to the point that when Toki started hanging out with him, Skwisgaar felt double betrayed by the fact that Toki effectively replaced him .... and so did Magnus.

Post-AOTD, Skwisgaar has a hard time finding that comfort he used to have - his anxiety is wearing him down, and the need to constantly improve and perfect his craft keeping him on edge. He's trying to keep himself together, by doing self-care routines and reminding himself he does care and he does matter. Time will time how well he learns from his mistakes and hopefully be able to shed the crippling anxiety and stress of this work.

My stinkiness levels for the boys.

Level 1 stinky: Skwisgaar. He sleeps around and gets drunk but he knows how to pamper himself like the beautiful diva he is.

Level 2 stinky: Toki. Not as clean as Skwisgaar and he certainly forgets to shower sometimes but at least he tries.

Level 3 stinky: Nathan. He’s still sloppy and he’s too lazy to even take a shower sometimes but still decent.

Level 4 stinky: Pickles. Dude is like a literal expired pickle reserved in brine for 100 years. His grime level is off the charts. He smells like puke, cocaine and whatever booze he had for breakfast. Legit almost never bathes. He’s one stinky old fart (but I love him)

Level 5 stinky: Murderface. CAUTION. DO NOT TOUCH! Hammer ass never showered in years (except when the doctor jacked him off one time). He’s so stinky and hairy that there’s many layers of grime. Needs special attention.

Ok. So I agree with 90% of this but i fee personally Pickles and Nathan would be on the same Stink Level but for different reasons. Nathan i feel like has sensory issues with showers (his hair clinging to his back/shoulders is unpleasant to say the least) and thus he tries to wait a few days between showers.

Pickles, he was always a grease ball growing up. Young pickles was homeless/couch hopping most of the time pre Snakes and Barrels, so he’d have limited access to showers because of that. I think he forgets that he’s got unlimited access to showers at times, and then he remembers and takes the most luxurious bath. Bubbles, bath oils, candles. He’s extra good to himself now that he doesn’t have to fight to stay alive.

Skwisgaar is extra when it comes to showers, He uses the best Shampoo/Conditioner/Body Oils/Body Lotion/Skin Care because he’s worth it. He takes his self care nights very seriously, not allowing anyone to distract him. He’s got a silky, long ass robe he wears too. He’s extra as fuck.

Toki. My baby Toki. He wants to be like Skwisgaar sooo bad. But he uses Axe body wash and VO5 Shampoo and Conditioner (the strawberry and creme scent specifically.) he does however use really nice smelling cologne and it makes up for almost everything else <3

Murderface, That mf smells so bad and rancid that i think Pickles would have to be the one to ask him to shower. He tries being nice at first but after an hour he just tells murderface he smells like rancid fucking ass and if he doesn’t shower he’ll lock him outside. (This works, Murderface does not like being away from the others.)

Perfectionist

● Skwisgaar is first and foremost a perfectionist in all he does. His need to be the best has him constantly playing scales, arpeggios, simple drills - and it's often more a tick of his to use his guitar the way Toki uses Deaddy Bear or Pickles uses drugs. It calms him to have his instrument with him in case he needs to play it to ignore his mom or whatever else annoys him. Very, very rarely does he leave it behind. He has a simple skincare routine, hair care routine, and makes sure he looks presentable as much as possible. Everything about him needs to be perfect, from appearance to performance. His need to perform at 100% at all times has given rise to other problems, primarily stress induced headaches, burnout, and a need to berate Toki and William when they fail to meet his standards.

Anxiety

● Skwisgaar being in the limelight and the need to perform in all areas of his life to the upmost perfect capability had led him to develop anxiety. Will he fail at staying the best? Will the fans turn on him? Will Toki become better than him? Does anyone else care enough to craft music? Will his mom call him again and berate him for ignoring her? It drives him nuts that no one else is striving for his level of perfection and sometimes he lashes out for the smallest inconveniences, having been stewing in thoughts for much longer leading up to it. Oddly enough Skwisgaar tends to know when he's worked up into an anxiety attack and tends to shut himself off when it gets to that point.

Dysfunctional Relationships

● It goes without saying Skwisgaar had a pretty absent mother and has a warped sense of what family, friendships, and relationships are. I think Serveta truly loved him, but since she herself was at the peak of her own life and career, she often used him as an excuse as to why she constantly had to try harder and harder to find willing men, housing, work, ect. Due to this, Skwisgaar has a very rocky maybe even stressful relationship with Serveta Skwigelf, and the very thought of seeing her sends him into a frenzy. Seeing how she and him moved around quite a bit for her work before she settled down into the cabin she lives now, Skwisgaar's only real lasting bond has been a dysfunctional one at best and has a hard time knowing how dynamics between people, friends, and even partners really work.

Hypersexual

● Due to exposure to Serveta's very 'active' lifestyle, Skwisgaar has a very active lifestyle too. For many, sex is a way to bond with someone that they truly care about whereas for Skwisgaar, it's just another activity in which he must perform to his fullest, with any interested parties. Primarily concerning to some is his adoration of the older women, which could be seen as him seeking approval from a mother-like figure since his own mother often blamed him for her failures. He jumps from person to person, even band to band, before becoming a member of Dethklok and finally establishing roots and forming some shaky friendships with the other members. His inability to understand how relationships work on a basic level has warped how he views potential partners.

History of Addictions

● Whereas Toki took over as lead guitarist and even seemed to thrive in the role when our neurotic blonde left for Sweden, Skwisgaar became a wreck when Toki vanished and started using drugs like the rest of the band to cope. Skwisgaar had vices, and when he indulged, he went hard into those addictions. Thankfully he finally feels like there's a support system in case he spirals out of control, but with the band spiraling out of control in general during that time and the fans finally turning on them asking about Toki, I believe he pulled himself out of it with help and managed to kick some of his vices to the curb for good. It's not the first time he's been told his vice is affecting his performance or that he is spiraling, and he knows deep down it probably won't be the last.

Abandonment Issues

● Skwisgaar's biggest defining trait when it comes to his mental health is his unwillingness to admit he is afraid of being abandoned. By the fans, by the band, by his friends and bandmates. Skwisgaar's childhood had a lot of men coming in and out of his life, all of whom wooed Serveta in hopes of becoming her one and only - and all of them leaving her once she moved on and to young Skwisgaar, also abandoning him. One could say this issue with potential father figures hit a peak with Serveta actually marrying Tỳr, and Skwisgaar trying to find that domestic bliss he craved as a child at the cost of leaving DethKlok. This fear of being abandoned has made it so he doesn't allow himself to become too attached to others, after years and years of disappointment from men claiming to be his new step-father. By the time Toki joins DethKlok, Skwisgaar has built these defenses to keep him from becoming disappointed if this too didn't pan out.

In conclusion, post AotD Skwisgaar sees Twinkletits infrequently purely because he sees it has helped Nathan and definitely helped Toki. Skwisgaar doesn't like admitting he might need help, and definitely isn't about to admit he has other issues unless it's to return the favor to Serveta and blame her for his visits to the rock talk specialist.

I think I like most how interesting to see Skwisgaar have a story that has him as being shy and coming out more sexually adventuresome. This story is so good I think it needs to be an episode

Well thank you. I felt bad in volume I - leaving him in the background with only a few breadcrumbs of my version of his past to entice the Skwisgaar fans to stay tuned to my stories. Same with Toki. Suffice to say, there's a significant jump in interest from the Skwistok crowd on this one, and I'm very happy the response has been largely positive.

And I'd like to take credit for the concept of young!Skwisgaar (fast becoming another of the fandom's "adopted OCs") being a babe in the woods, but I really think the show has thrown us hints at this being the case, canonically. And even if it doesn't end up being the case, it's been fun to explore a character who has a very obviously fucked-up relationship with sex and intimacy, and what factors could have contributed to that.

I hope you stay tuned and don't hate me for how I end up handling it, dear Anon. :)
