Did anyone else read Skulduggery Pleasant as a child? I don't remember much about it but I read a few of the books out of order at the library years ago. I have the first four that I'll probably start reading again. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it. I don't remember much about the plot but trust me, it's good.

Skulduggery fandom, I have no particularly deep analysis but two simple thoughts for you today

First is that Skulduggery is absolutely (and very vividly depicted in text) as the guy who would sell everyone else out for the mission and take the easiest shortcut to victory possible at the expense of everyone else, with the only exception to this being Valkyrie, whom he’d commit war crimes for. In contrast, Valkyrie has zero self-preservation and would fight viciously to defend those she cares about until her literal dying breath, with it greatly impacting her mental health when she fails at this task.

Valkyrie forces Skulduggery to care about those around him and work to find a solution that will get everyone out alive, whereas Skulduggery has to point out to Valkyrie that she cannot possibly save everyone. Absolute disaster pair of people.

The second thought is that Skulduggery is currently stronger than Valkyrie and could theoretically take her in a fight. But this is simply because he’s literally 400 years older than her and has reached the absolute peak of his potential, that being an incredibly powerful Elemental and the necromancer’s Death Bringer at times. Valkyrie, on the other hand, is far from her peak and will continue to improve over time. Every day, she inches just a little closer to godhood and it’s pretty much inevitable that she will eventually overtake Skulduggery in strength, possibly replacing the sort of role that Darquesse had before becoming the universe.

Anyways, that’s all. Expressing my crippling brainrot in any way possible.

My dad has two things to say

1. Valkyrie's power is eating at her which is why her magic isn't as good in AmFoM. This is due to the Sceptre Crystal thing's power.

2. Serpine is going to get annoyed that Valkyrie likes Nefarian more than him and like half the other villains she faces, he's going to spend prolonged time around her and like her despite himself out of pure spite to prove he's better.

Yes he went through the list of Valkyrie's enemies and couldn't count past ten how many don't like her and lived.
