Have you tried liquid adhesive for putting dexcoms? they are great i don't like spending money on dexcom patches so...
i tried one from my local chemist warehouse and it just didn’t work for me, i’ve been trying to find another more affordable one but am yet to find something
also just found out they sell “not just a patch” skintac at chemist warehouse????????

The real tutorial to changing your site by me 😜 /s /hj.
Spread the numbing cream all over the spot and wait 15 minutes. Make sure to squeeze the hell out of the bottle.
Wipe that shit off after the timer is up and wipe it with an alcohol swab IN A CIRCULAR MOTION GOING OUTWARD if you don't do this you instantly die not clickbait
Get the SUPER STICKY Skintac and spread it all over the place. You will get sticky on your fingers no matter how hard you fight it. Yes even when using a wipe to hold the lid. Just accept your fate.
Now fan the hell out of it so that sticky liquid dries. It always takes longer than you think.
Now it's the best part. Get your little round site that's a gun in disguise and start unwrapping all the things on it. It's like the most unfun puzzle you'll do ❤️
Cock it into place and hold it on the spot.
Pray it will actually work and not just be a dud that you wasted hundreds of dollars on.
Press the extremely stressful buttons and feel it go into your skin. So fun!
Hold it on there and press down around it to make sure it's actually sticking (ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT PARTS!!!1!)
Hold down the new tubing and pray you don't take off the new site while pulling the gun and needle part off/out.
Stare for 10 minutes at the insanely long needle that used to be in your body that put the plastic cannula in for you.
Done!
Take off the old site and pray that you won't get an occlusion on the new site.
Do it all again next week for the rest of your life.

hey mr, can I ask what bandage you use with your cgm? I've been using like a clear bandage and it's not ideal, and was wondering about yours
I use IV 3000 cut in half, or when my family can get the dexcom overpatch from their website (it’s free but don’t ship to the netherlands) I prefer that! with the IV 3000 I also apply SkinTac wipes about a minute before so that they stay on better

Things I enjoy about the Dexcom G6(as opposed to the G4)
- When you’re out of range and then get back in range, it will fill in the data from when you were out of range
- I don’t need to check my blood sugar
- It lasts longer
- It’s a whole lot easier to insert
- It sticks better. With the G4, I had to put on skintac and a grif grip on the first day, and often had to reglue the grif grip halfway through.
- I can get the data on my phone. When I had the G4, my pump was my receiver, so I couldn’t hook my phone up to it.
- Related to that, my parents can see my blood sugar on my phone. I’m 18, and I got the G6 when I was 17. I love having the G6 because now my mom doesn’t constantly bug me about my blood sugar. It’s also nice when my parents wake me up when I go low.
- It has less of those random times when my receiver gets confused and doesn’t know my blood sugar.
- I have a tslim, so I use the control IQ thingy, and it’s amazing!!

HELLLLLLLL YESSSS
My sensor works!!!!!! I almost had a heartattack while applying the sensor. The applicator somehow got stuck to the sensor so I had to gently pull it off but thankfully the sensor was still stuck to my skin. Then you have to scan it and wait 60 minutes so it can adjust to your skin. Those were 60 hellish minutes, but thank gooddd it works!! I was quite anxious because I am going to a concert tomorrow evening in a small venue where you have to stand. So with the sensor I can just quickly grab the scanner if I don’t feel well and scan it!
@notheretoseethebouncycastle Yes I use the Freestyle libre! I love it (when it works hehe) With the last couple of sensors I had some issues with them not working. (My mom thinks I applied them wrong, but I did follow the instuctions so its still a bit confusing what I am doing wrong then) or which I think is the issue - I also use skintac to apply the sensors with so they stick better to my skin. (Diabetics with pumps also use it) My skin gets so sticky that even the applicator gets really stuck to my skin so maybe someway the needle of the sensor gets broken. Idk it’s just a theory, I have no idea tbh why they dont work.  But after getting a new scanner and sensor this afternoon it is finally working again! It is so amazing just seeing your bg within a second. Thankfully the customer service is really nice and if your sensor comes off before the 14 days or in my case, it doesn’t work, they (90%) give you a replacement.

Look at these AMAZING banana/egg pancakes, this time I added some coconut flour and almond milk and they tasted so good!!!  Unfortunately the only baking good that succeeded this week; I tried to make bananabread with frozen blueberries which turned out really moist, like way too moist. Then I tried to make coconut cookies but some way they didn’t turn into cookies. Oh well.
Also I am so happy that my replacement sensor arrives tomorrow, together with a replacement scanner so hopefully this time it will work. The last three sensors were definitely a fail. I think it has to do with the skintac, it’s like a sort of glue that you apply before putting on a sensor or insuline pomp so it will stick better but the applier also sticks a lot as well while applying, so maybe some how it messes up the sensor. The lady from the customer service suggested that I should apply less but how do I apply less? ( Skintac is a really small wipe ) Oh well, I’m just going to hope that the sensor sticks  for 14 days without the skintac (which it should) and is the sensor works,(please goddd workkkk), and maybe not sticks for very long I’’ll try to apply some skintac underneath it or something. I AM REALLY HOPING THAT THIS SENSOR IS GOING TO WORK I LOVE THE LIBRE OKAY!!
