SKIN: ‘IT TAKES BLOOD AND GUTS - WITH LUCY O'BRIEN

Well this has been the best kept secret for a few months, (although I did tell a few close friends it might be on the cards) as sometimes when you start to post on social media it has a way of jinxing you, so I made a pact with myself to keep quiet about it until it was actually in the book and I could see it in print, and here it is. The photos were taken in Manchester during live performances of Skunk Anansie, at Albert Hall and Manchester Academy. Its bloody great seeing your work in print, let alone a BOOK!!

SKUNK ANANSIE: MANCHESTER ACADEMY

A phenomenal band, both visually and musically, superb to photograph. Skin burst onto the stage in what appeared to be a tin foil cloak, a bit of a faux pas for the first 5 mins when the blower machine blew the strips of tassels over Skin’s face, so we were unable to see. However, it was soon rectified and I was happy with my shots - I bloody love this woman. A statuesque commanding figure, reminding me of Grace Jones, but let’s not forget the band of accomplished musicians who make it all come to life too.
