Like I said earlier, I don’t not support cc!Wilbur in any way shape or form. That being said I really really super like c!Wilbur (o!Wilbur and q!Wilbur are neat too) and most of my AU’s have him as a big role

Fanfiction Rating: F There are eight fanfictions for this fandom between AO3 and one of them features this ship. There are twenty on ff.net. This is... not an active fandom.

When Did I Start Shipping Them? I remember this series through a haze because I read it in middle school, yet these two were so important to me that they survive on this list. I think that I shipped them even before Mikey was revealed to be another kid, when he was still acting the monster. Why Do I Ship Them? I've been a sucker for the beauty and the beast archetype since I was younger than I can remember. Damaged and twisted creature kidnaps someone that it sees as an example of perfection? And then they fall in love? This is far from the last time the trope will show up in this list, but this one is special for stealing my heart at a very early age.

Favourite Fanfiction Tropes/Staples? More body horror please! Neal Shusterman did an impressive job with a YA horror book but I'd love to see these characters taken a little further into the horror direction without the limits of needing to not traumatize preteens.

How do you feel about the Cat becoming the final boss? It kinda feels like Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga considering how the heroes fight the old villain (Bowser/Neo) who's being possessed by the new villain (Cackletta/the Cat). Except I'd argue done worse considering Bowser was never portrayed as the main threat like Neo was throughout Volume 9. Plus I'm disappointed the Cat wasn't morally grey. But we all know how CRWBY are with morally grey characters, so I'm not surprised...

I think it's a neat idea and I'm curious (heh) to see where it goes, but knowing these writers I'm bound for disappointment. In hindsight, they should've done more to convey that the cat wants Ruby unstable to skinjack her. Maybe have it so WBY tries to push Ruby more about her mental state but the cat always interrupts at the perfect time, or says something that makes Ruby feel worse, etc.

Depending on how the cat's motivations get fleshed out, things could still trend in a morally gray direction. Wanting to do [insert whatever the cat concretely wants to do] is not necessarily evil, at least based on what we know now. It's just against the interests of the protagonists.

...which, with this show's protagonist-centered morality, would make the cat evil...

We need to start reminding kids that pennys are lucky so that they always pick them up, so that when they die they have fare to get into heaven.

Anyone remember Everlost? Those dead kids would be screwed in today's afterlife, the penny has become so devalued that studies show no one bothers picking them up anymore, even if they are the type to believe in luck. It's not worth the backstrain even in the young
