Is a skiff that uses rockets to boost able to reach orbit? Wait did i just give them an idea

So, instead of moons, Sterilis has really big icy rings.

Not only does it look cool, it adds a pretty big obstacle for reaching, or leaving, orbit. Even outside of that visible band, there's a ton of ice chunks floating around outside of it. Which means any space travel is going to need to essentially smack into dozens of house-sized boulders to leave the planet, or launch WAY off-plane, up near the icecaps which ends up having all sorts of its own challenges. You can actually see the rings from the surface; it's really pretty at night:

Anyway! That still begs the question of whether a skiff could reach there. Probably! Strap enough rockets onto a little sentient payload and it'd be able to reach the rings. MAYBE with enough fine-tuned adjustments, it could even match the speed and latch onto an ice chunk. and MAYBE if it has sufficient heat shielding, it could grab onto an ice chunk, dive back into the atmosphere, and sell that sweet sweet ring ice sample for loads of cash.

Either that or they'll smack into the rings and you'll see a cool explosion from the surface. Good luck hunting down the cpu core when it falls back down!

TL;DR: Big ice rings in orbit means you'll smack into em, but it'd be possible to smack into 'em with some good ol' rocket science.
