Jailbreak
A bell attached to the liquor store entrance chimed as Alfonso De La Torre walked in with heavy feet. The tattooed young man kept his head down, only raising his head once to give the clerk an acknowledging nod of the head. Alfonso walked straight to the back of the store where all the various beers were displayed behind a glass door.Â
Alfonso opened the door and plucked out an ice cold can of Modelo. He then walked to the clerk with the beer in one hand and a $5 dollar bill in the other. Alfonso placed the bill on the counter and slid it under the safety glass to the clerk.Â
âKeep the change, I wonât need it,â Alfonso said. The clerk merely nodded his head as he rang him up. He had known Alfonso since he first moved into town a decade ago. The clerk knew that when it came to a guy like Alfonso, it was better to just smile and nod than to ask questions. The less he knew, the less likely heâd get called to the witness stand one day.Â
Alfonso opened the can as he walked out the liquor store, leaving the sounds of the can opening and the door bell chimes ringing behind him as he left. He then found a spot along the wall to lean against while he enjoyed his cold beer. It was a cool night with clear skies that night, perfect for a cold one. Alfonso took a long swig of Modelo. The bubbles rushed up the can as he chugged it. He then let out a satisfied ahhh, knowing full well that that can was likely going to be the last beer heâd enjoy in a while.Â
As he stood there savoring every last drop of alcohol, Alfonso could hear sirens blaring off somewhere not too far. They were getting closer with each passing second, and Alfonso only smirked as he saw the signature blues and reds of LAPD light up the street. Within a minute, two police cars pulled up into the parking lot. They parked right in front of the liquor store. Then out came three police officers with their guns and tazers points at Alfonso.
âFreeze! We have you surrounded!â one of the police officers shouted. Alfonso chuckled in response.Â
âBro chilllll,â Alfonso took another drink of Modelo. âNo need for all that... I just wanted one last beer before yâall take me in. Is that too much to ask? Or yâall finna shoot if I keep drinking?âÂ
"Put your hands up behind your back!!" the lead officer barked. Alfonso sighed.
"Shit man... Tough crowd."
Alfonso finished his beer in one final chug then threw the empty can to the trash. He then walked towards the police with his hands raised up behind his head. Despite his cooperation, the police were still rough in handcuffing him. They shoved him into the backseat of one of the patrol cars. As they drove away, Alfonso looked out the window and took in the nighttime ambience of his city with a grin on his face.
The rest of the night went according to the usual protocol. The police took Alfonso to the precinct, processed him into the system, then put him in a holding cell for the night. Once the next morning came, Alfonso was transferred to another detention facility where he'd stay until his court date. Alfonso kept a bored expression on his face throughout the entire process, only smiling when he had a smart ass comment ready to piss off the officers. It wasnât his first time going through the motions, and he had a feeling it wouldn't be his last either. However, although Alfonso was able to get off on bail or on parole the last couple times, the consequences of his latest arrest would prove to be more severe...
It was sometime in the late afternoon when Alfonso found himself bored and sitting in a nearly empty room. There was only a table and two chairs in the dull room. It was a drag, but Alfonso was grateful to get away from his weird cellmate Edwin. Edwin was arrested for breaking and entering into a private lake house. He wanted to catch some fish so he could harvest their organs. Something about needing fresh materials for his rituals. Alfonso never really bothered to learn the details, all he knew was that he needed to keep the weirdo happy or he might try something. Getting some time away from him was like a breath of fresh air for Alfonso, though now he found himself with new stress. The guard explained that it was time for him to meet with his lawyer (or more accurately, the public defender assigned to him). Despite their enthusiasm to help him, Alfonso kept turning them away. None of them matched the vibe he was looking for. He needed someone who would help him get off scot free, not just reduce the severity of his sentence. Until he found just the right lawyer, Alfonso kept holding out.
Alfonso leaned back against the chair, fingers tapping a rhythm against the stainless steel table. Through the small pane of glass on the door, he noticed one of the guards walk past with a man in a long sleeve dress shirt. His eyebrows furrowed at the sight of the well dressed man.
"Great, here comes the next bitchass..."
Alfonso watched as the man spoke with the guard, then walked into the holding room with him. Alfonso started mentally picking out all his finer details. His white shirt had no discernible wrinkles, likely from being ironed. His black slacks fit him just right, leading Alfonso to believe they were custom tailored to his exact size. The man sat across from Alfonso, placing a file on the table as he did so. Alfonso spotted a gold ring on his wedding finger with a matching wristwatch to boot. With everything Alfonso picked up about the man, he already decided he didnât like him.
âGood evening, Mr. De La Torre, my name is Jackson. How are-â
âGet out. Get me another lawyer.â Alfonso interrupted the man. Jackson was visibly thrown off by this, but did not give up. Instead he adjusted himself in the seat and put on a stern face to show he meant business.
âIâm afraid I canât do that. Youâre just gonna have to settle for having me as a lawyer.â
âFuck that! Just get me another lawyer!â
âNo can do-â
âWhy not?â
âBecause youâve already turned away three other lawyers. You canât just shop around for lawyers, thereâs only so many public defenders you know.â
âThh, whatever. Iâm not talking to you.â
Alfonso sat back in his chair. Jackson merely opened the file he brought and started reading some of the papers.Â
âYouâre my first assignment and Iâm not gonna give on you. Just let me defend you in court and I promise weâll get you out of this mess.â Jackson said while reading. Alfonso simply ignored him.
âYouâre in deep shit, you know,â Jackson began. âAssaulting someone while on parole and you still wanna turn away a lawyer you couldnât afford on your own? Gotta be really stupid to that.â
âWhat the fuck did you say?â Alfonso turned back to face him. âThat motherfucker had it coming after he cheated on my little sister. You donât know shit about me, donât talk about me like you know me.â
âAww, how noble of you! Unfortunately, the law doesnât give a fuck about the situation behind the crime. A bloodied up man is in the hospital and his assailant took a little stroll to the nearby liquor store like it was just another Saturday night. Face it, man,â Jackson leaned in. âYou need me to defend you in court or youâre done for.â
âMan, fuck you! You canât defend me for shit!â Alfonso stood up and faced the door where a guard was on standby. âAy, bailiff!! Get this bitch outta here and get me another lawyer! Get some raza to defend me, someone whoâll understand-â
âI am raza,â Jackson stood up too. Alfonso scoffed in response.
âNot with a fuckass name like Jackson youâre not!â
âMy full name is Jackson Rivera Velazquez! Both of my parents immigrated here from Guatemala, Iâm just as Latino as you are!â
âHow many Rolex watches you got? How about that gold ring around your finger, how much that cost you? I bet you got AC in your house too, huh. Livinâ nice and comfortable como los gĂŒeros while the rest of us out here struggling to survive! You might be Latino but you ainât raza!!â
âHey!! Just cuz I got some money now doesnât mean I donât know struggle! My whole life is struggle! I came from nothing, living in family garages and food stamps. I had to work my ass to get to where I am! Now Iâm a lawyer with a handsome partner and a nice home, but just because Iâm comfortable now doesnât mean Iâm gonna forget where I came from! I came into this work so that I could help out others like...â
Alfonso started to tune out Jackson while he shared his life story. Something he said made Alfonsoâs ears perk up. âHandsome partner.â Alfonso wasnât surprised to find out he was gay, but learning that information made him smirk inside. Suddenly Alfonso found himself plotting the perfect escape plan in his head. It was elaborate, it was risky, it was borderline insane too, but it might just work.
âEnough already damn!!â Alfonso shouted, interrupting Jacksonâs rambling. It was time to kick his plan into action. âLook, Iâm sorry man, okay. Iâm just worried sick that I wonât get to see my family again. I donât want to spend the next 10 fucking years of my life in here. Can you help me get out of here?â
Once again, Jackson was visibly thrown off guard by Alfonso. Except this time, instead of a scowl, he had a smile forming on his face.
âAlright, thatâs what I wanted to hear!! I promise you, Mr. De La Torre, you wonât regret taking a chance on me!â Jackson stuck his hand.
âYeah yeah, no problem, thanks for helping me out. Quit the formal shit though. Just call me Alfonso.â
The two men exchanged a firm handshake. Alfonso and Jackson sat back down at the table so Jackson could explain what will happen next. Jackson was going to take care of all the paperwork back at his office, then come back the very next day to get Alfonsoâs full testimony on what happened the night of the assault. Jackson also explained that due to jurisdiction reasons, Alfonso was going to get transferred to another detention center again after they talked. He couldnât do anything about it, but he assured Alfonso that he will still follow along as his lawyer. Once everything was set in stone, Alfonso was escorted back to his cell while Jackson went back to his office to get working. Despite his initial apprehension, Alfonso had full confidence that Jackson would follow through. He had to trust him, or else his escape plan would never work.Â
Alfonso walked back into his cell to see Edwin fiddling around with something on the top bunk. He let him be and went to his bunk, taking a deep breath to calm down. Alfonso knew he couldnât do much while he was detained, but regardless of that, he knew he had his share of work to get done. And with a time limit of 24 hours, he had to get shit done fast!
Once dinner hour came for the inmates, Alfonso took the opportunity to gather as many materials as he could hide from the cafeteria. While he had to be discreet about it, Alfonso made sure to keep a straight face and a cool air while he did it.Â
He made it back to his cell with various things in tow. Alfonso set them all down in his bunk to get to work on making a potion. Alfonso had very limited knowledge about brujeria from his family, and the thing he was trying to brew wasnât exactly a potion in the traditional sense either, but it would have to do for the time being. But just before he could start, Edwin peeked his head out from the top bunk.
âYouâre planning something.â
âWhat? No Iâm not,â Alfonso denied. Edwin hopped down and made eye contact with wide eyes.
âYes you are. The fish hearts told me so. Are you trying to escape?â
Alfonso stayed quiet for a moment. That was the most interaction he had ever had with Edwin. Yet, he managed to read right through him like a book. He was amazed, if not a bit unnerved.
âAlright, ya got me. Iâm trying to make something thatâll help me get the hell out of here. I donât know much about brujeria, but Iâm hoping this will get it done.âÂ
âThatâs not gonna do anything worthwhile. Here, let me help.â
Edwin did not hesitate in taking over the potion making process. He took all of Alfonsoâs materials and added a few of his own. Bell peppers, fish eyes, tap water, crushed black pepper, candle wax, marijuana leaves, and a few other things Alfonso couldnât identify but decided against asking what they were for his own sanity. It took Edwin less than half an hour to get the concoction brewed and ready to go. He handed it to Alfonso in a plastic cup.
âWhen itâs time, drink this and it will perform a miracle for you. You might feel a little weird and youâll have no idea what the miracle is, but you need to trust the process. While youâre busy doing whatever it is youâre doing, Iâll be busy staging an escape of my own.â
Edwin then climbed back up his bunk bed. Alfonso stared into the cup. The liquid inside resembled olive oil. He took a whiff of it and recoiled from how spicy it smelled.
âHow the fuck am I supposed to drink this? And how will I know when âthe miracleâ is gonna start?â
âJust trust the process, and leave the rest to God.â
There was silence in the cell again. After a beat, Alfonso asked Edwin another question.
âHey bro, why are you helping me? You donât even know me,â
âI want to see this world burn down, but before that happens, I want to have a little fun.â
Alfonso groaned in dismay. Despite Edwin helping him out with the potion, he was still impossible to talk to and understand. Alfonso decided to let it go and just go to bed without further questions.Â
Once the next morning came around, Alfonso mentally prepared himself to execute the next phase of the plan. Then once the clock hit 12 PM, Alfonso downed the potion Edwin had made for him. The thick liquid was thoroughly laced with spice and made for a hard swallow. Alfonso gagged once he got it all done.
âFucking awful...â
Alfonso crumpled up the cup and threw it at Edwin as he left the cell. He was then escorted to the same room as the day before, where Jackson was already waiting for him. Alfonso smirked when he saw him. The plan was going perfectly so far.
âHey Alfonso, good to see you again.â
âYeah man, good to see you too.âÂ
Jackson stood up to greet Alfonso with a handshake. As the two men sat down at the table, Jackson sniffed the air vigorously. It weirded out Alfonso, but he knew he had to see his plan through to the end.
âAre you wearing cologne?â
âNah, just showered last night. They got us fresh soap bars,â Alfonso explained. Jackson kept smelling the scent, letting out satisfied exhales every time he got a whiff.Â
âIâm sorry, you just smell really really good... Um, but anyway, shall we get started? Weâve got this room for an hour.â
Alfonso then began to share the story of what happened the night he jumped his little sisterâs ex to Jackson. As he spoke, Alfonso kept finding any excuse possible to touch Jackson. Shuffling his feet and âaccidentallyâ brushing against Jacksonâs leg, letting his fingers linger on Jacksonâs hand while he handed him his pen, even demonstrating what he did that night with Jackson as a scene partner. Every time he touched Jackson, Alfonso noticed him trying his hardest to hide a smile.Â
Eventually, after enough physical touch, Jackson was getting restless. He was breaking a sweat, and the way he kept readjusting how he was sitting made it obvious he was getting hard. Alfonso grinned. He had him right where he wanted him. It was time to go all in.Â
âHey, Jackson. Can I ask you something?â
âSure, what is it?â
âYouâve been actinâ kinda sus today... You into me?â Alfonso smirked.
âWhat!? No, no of course not-â Jacksonâs jaw dropped as he watched Alfonso take his shirt off. Despite his thin frame, Alfonso was pretty muscular with well defined shoulders and biceps. Coupled with his tattoos, Jackson couldnât help but admire the view.
âYou like what you see, Pa? Care to take a closer look?â Alfonso teased. Jackson gulped. A beam of sweat rolled down the side of his face. He wiped his brow then shook his head.
âNo, I canât, Iâm married. See?â Jackson held up the hand with his wedding ring, careful to make sure he didnât look back at Alfonso. Alfonso then reached over, slipped the ring off, and put it on the table. That caused Jackson to look back at him.Â
âCâmon,â Alfonso lifted his arm behind his head, leaving his pit exposed. âJust a little, promise I wonât tell.â
Alfonso kept his arm up as he watched Jackson eye him up and down like he was a piece of meat. He could see the lust building up in Jacksonâs eyes like a pressure cooker. Alfonso did not like men, especially men who cheated on their partners, but he knew he had to suck it up if he was going to get out there.Â
Finally, Jackson stood up and walked over to Alfonso. He leaned in and took a quick yet deep whiff of his pit. His eyes rolled to the back of his head as he delighted in a guilty pleasure.
âHoly fuck Papi... I love your musk!â Jackson cried out. He then stuck his face into Alfonsoâs armpit.
Musk?
After Jackson said that, Alfonso couldnât help but tilt his head in to get a whiff of his own pit. He showered that same morning, and just as expected, he smelled clean! Absolutely no musk!
Jackson was rubbing his nose into Alfonsoâs pit, causing Alfonso to stumble back slightly as he had to balance himself. He could feel Jacksonâs warm, bated breaths as he indulged on whatever it was he was smelling.
âBro, hey... you good?âÂ
Alfonso asked. Jackson kept sniffing his pit for a while longer. Only then did he raise his head to face Alfonso. That was when Alfonso got a good look at him. Jackson was red in the face after worshipping Alfonsoâs armpit. He was also panting and drooling. Jackson had a tired, almost hypnotized look to his eyes that he didnât have before. And not just that, Alfonso could also see his pupils visibly dilate. Alfonso felt as if Jackson was staring right into his soul with how lustful his gaze had become.
âPlease Papi...â Jackson fell to his knees. âI need more... Please! Give me more...!â
Alfonso was shocked to see the once composed lawyer fall to his knees, begging him for his body. Whatever that potion was, its effects were clearly taking hold. After taking a moment to process the situation, Alfonso lifted his other arm.
âKnock yourself out, bro.â
Then, like a starving lion, Jackson pounced onto Alfonso. Alfonso stepped back to the wall behind him. It was the only way he could stay standing while Jackson nuzzled himself into his armpits. Jackson couldnât get enough of his manly musk. The dank smell of Alfonsoâs sweat combined with pheromones made him go crazy! He licked the folds of his pits as he kept sniffing away, tracing the thin lines of pit hair Alfonso had. All while Alfonso stood there, letting Jackson get his fill off his body.
Fuck man... This guy really loves his pits huh... Oh shit!!
Alfonso felt Jackson grab his dick through his shorts and start massaging his member. Jackson knew how to balance a firm grip with a tender touch as he rubbed him down. Alfonso had to suppress a moan as he felt himself start getting hard.Â
Trust the process... Just trust the process...
Alfonso whispered Edwinâs words to himself. It took real willpower for him not to stop Jackson right there and tell him heâs not gay. Alfonso assured himself that he was undeniably straight, and that he was doing this so he could get out of jail.Â
While Alfonso was in his thoughts, Jackson had moved on to Alfonsoâs arm muscles. Jackson was making out with Jacksonâs biceps, licking and sucking while still stroking Alfonsoâs growing cock. That brought Alfonso back to the present moment, and he flexed his bicep to help further indulge Jackson. Jackson loved it.
It didnât take long before both men were stripped naked of their clothes. Jackson moved on to Alfonsoâs torso; cupping his firm pecs, sucking on his nipples, licking his abdominals, the works. Jackson was moaning like a madman while Alfonso was struggling to keep his pleasure hidden. His moans came out as groans and grunts instead. The longer they went at it, the harder it was for Alfonso to deny he was having a good time too. He couldnât deny Jackson knew how to use his tongue incredibly well.
Trust the process... Youâre not gay, youâre just doing this to get out of jail... Trust the- OHHHHH FUUUUCK!
Jackson had slipped Alfonsoâs dickhead into his mouth while he was in his mind again, catching him off guard. Alfonso couldnât hold back anymore. He threw his head back in pleasure and moaned as Jackson deep throated him. Alfonso sported a cool 7.5 inches yet Jackson had no problem sucking off his entire member. He was a pro at blowjobs; fondling his balls with his free hand, changing the rhythm and intensity of his sucking, and using his tongue to lick off any precum leaking out of Alfonsoâs dickhead.Â
âArgh... fuckk! You know how to suck good dick bro! Whewww!!â
Alfonso grabbed the back of Jacksonâs head and held him in place as he started thrusting into his throat. His cum filled balls dangled back and forth as he face fucked the once professional lawyer. Jackson let out various moans and gargles while Alfonso had his way with him, but never once did he complain. He took it like a champion, practically begging for more. The scent of Alfonsoâs body odor, ripe from sex sweat, kept him hungry for more.Â
Eventually, after some more time spent on head, they took things to the next level. Alfonso nudged Jackson to get up from his knees, and once he did, he jumped onto Alfonso. Alfonso had no problem carrying the grown man. His fully erect cock bumped against Jacksonâs ass as he carried him to the table, making his hungry hole pulsate. And Alfonso laid Jackson down on the table, Jackson slipped a finger into his ass to get ready for what was to come. Now it was Alfonsoâs turn to service him.
Alfonso used a generous amount of spit to lube up his throbbing cock while Jackson lifted his legs, leaving his light brown hole exposed and ready for action. Alfonso smirked at the sight of Jacksonâs hairy ass but with a clean shaven hole. It was as if he knew to tidy up for guests. Alfonso tapped his dick head against Jacksonâs hole, making the cock hungry slut whimper with anticipation. Knowing just how badly Jackson wanted his dick only made Alfonso even hornier. He grinned, then slowly but surely slid his dick into Jackson. His cock disappeared into Jackson inch by inch. Jacksonâs eyes rolled to the back of his head as he felt his insides getting filled by the man he craved. Then, once Alfonsoâs entire length, he started hitting strokes at a steady pace.Â
With each hip thrust Alfonso was sliding his long, girthy cock deep inside Jacksonâs ass. The sounds of their moans and groans along with Jacksonâs ass cheeks getting clapped filled the room. Alfonsoâs favorite move was taking his cock out temporarily, only to ram it back into Jacksonâs stretched out hole. Jackson could feel his prostate getting fucked everytime Alfonso did it, causing waves of pain and pleasure to reverberate throughout his body. But Jackson wasnât the only one having a great time, as Alfonso had also grown to love it despite his initial hesitation to just âplay along.â In the heat of fucking, he had even forgotten his mantra of âtrust the processâ and kept going at it because he wanted to! Alfonso loved how soft and tight Jacksonâs hole was. It was like his already sensitive cock was getting a warm hug from all angles. He threw his head back as he drilled Jackson like there was no tomorrow. Alfonso hated to admit it, but he was having the time of his life. Jacksonâs ass was better than any pussy he had ever fucked before, and he knew it.Â
Alfonso and Jackson had been going at it in missionary for a while. Condensation had even begun forming on the glass pane of the door. They were fucking like they were angry at each other, but that was just how they liked it. Rough, sweaty, smelly, and raw! While Alfonso had managed to keep it down to quietish groans, Jacksonâs moans were only getting louder. Alfonso realized he couldnât let Jackson make too much noise or else theyâd get caught. He hesitated for a moment, in Alfonsoâs mind, topping wasnât gay as what he was about to do. But, out of fear of getting caught red-handed, he had no choice but to go all in.Â
Alfonso slowed down his fucking pace and leaned into Jackson, planting a firm, wet kiss on his lips. The two men made a loud kissing sound each time their interlocked lips let go of each other, but it was much quieter than Jacksonâs moans. Jackson pulled Alfonso closer into him by wrapping his arms around his neck and pulled him in. Their tongues were rolling off of each other as they fought for dominance. A bead of saliva connected their tongues as they separated momentarily, only to go back in for more intense French kissing. Jackson playfully bit onto Alfonsoâs lip, causing him to let out a rare moan. Alfonso then leaned into Jacksonâs neck and licked him up, down, left, and right. All while still continuing to pump his cock in and out of his tight, silky ass.Â
âYou like how Papi fucks you?â Alfonso whispered into Jacksonâs ear with bated breath.Â
âSi Papi Chulo... Yo soy tu puto sucio... Cogeme bien duro con tu verga gruesa....!â
âNrgh! Fuckk!!â Alfonso was getting dangerously close to climaxing. He only had seconds before he cummed. But as he tried to pull out, Jackson wrapped his legs around his torso and yanked him into him; making sure he not only couldnât pull out, but that he was deep inside his guts to unleash his load.Â
âLlĂ©name con tu lechita!â
âAAARGH FUCKKKKKK!!!âÂ
At the exact moment Alfonso started pumping out his loads deep inside Jackson, the miracle Edwin had promised had taken effect. It all happened within a matter of seconds. Due to how much force Jackson had pulled Alfonso into him, Alfonso nearly fall on top of him. However, because of the potion, instead of falling on top of him, Alfonso fell into him. His torso had phased straight into Jacksonâs torso as if the two had merged. Alfonso barely managed to keep his head just above Jacksonâs body, saving him from total body merging. However, Alfonsoâs body was locked in pure sexual ecstasy as ropes of warm cum came rushing out of his throbbing member, leaving him unable to do anything about the paranormal situation.
Ohhh fuck... What the... Fuck... Someone... Help me...!
âMore...! More...!! I want to feel you even deeper!â
Wait, stop-!
It was too late. In too much pleasure to realize what he just did, Jackson yanked Alfonso into him again. That final tug caused Alfonso to completely lose his balance. Alfonsoâs head fell into Jacksonâs head, lining the two up perfectly as they occupied the same space. Jackson could feel Alfonsoâs cock go deeper than what was physically possible into his ass as the rest of Alfonsoâs body phased into him. Suddenly, the pleasure of getting cummed in transformed into a strange, visceral sensation of surrendering his whole body to another man. Their bodies and souls aligned, and the last Jackson could remember before his mind went to sleep was the pleasure of his own loads rushing out of his cock. The miracle was done. Alfonso had taken over Jacksonâs body.
Alfonso laid ass naked on the table as his mind struggled to process everything he had just experienced. Within seconds, he had gone from one perspective to another. He blinked as he adjusted, but once his mind caught up, his newly possessed body needed to adjust to its new owner.Â
â......FUCKKKKKKK!!!!!!â
Alfonso shrieked out in Jacksonâs voice as the pain started. He could feel his very soul start stretching and morphing to accommodate its changed vessel. But possession was a two-way street, his new body also needed to adjust. Alfonso could feel as Jacksonâs body began physically changing. His body transformed to take on attributes from Alfonsoâs original body by coping the soul. The once tattoo-less, pudgy Jackson had quickly transformed to resemble Alfonso. The body kept Jacksonâs likeness, but grew Alfonsoâs muscles and tattoos, creating a slightly different man that combined the two men into one.
Once the body takeover and transformation was finally finished, Alfonso took a moment to admire his new body. He was incredibly annoyed that the miracle was something as weird as a complete body takeover, but he quickly realized that stealing his lawyer's identity was a foolproof way of escape. Nobody would ever suspect that he possessed his lawyer's body.
Alfonso realized he was still dripping with sex fluids and cleaned up after himself. He discarded his old clothes into the nearby trash can and put on Jackson's clothes. Just as he was buttoning up the dress shirt, a guard walked into the room.
"Excuse me, Mr. Rivera, the hour is up. Is everything alright? I thought I heard screaming, but I wasn't too sure," the guard asked.
"Yeah, bro. Everything's just fine, don't trip. Another guard already took De La Torre back to his celly, Iâmma head out soon too." Alfonso responded in a newly deep voice. The guard nodded, then left.
Alfonso grinned. Jackson's gay voice was gone, which Alfonso was glad about. He did not want to hear that voice come out of his own mouth. He also noticed the guard call him Mr. Rivera. That only served as confirmation that nobody would ever catch him in the act. He picked up the file Jackson had brought, then walked out the detention facility with a cool, confident beat to his step. Alfonso even whistled a tune as he drove away from the detention center. That was how relaxed he was. Once he was far away, he ripped off the professional attire and dressed something closer to his original style.
As he drove off, Alfonso noticed a particular smell. He sniffed the air, then lifted his arm and took a whiff. First it was a little sniff, then a deep inhale as he basked in his own musk.
"Ohhh fuck yeahh, that's some good ass shit! Fuck! Now I know what that queer was smelling!" Alfonso smiled as he helped himself to more of his pit scent. But then he realized what he was doing, and quickly lowered his arm back down.
"Fucking shit. That bitch made me gay, huh." Alfonso furrowed his eyebrows as he took a deep breath. "Whatever. At least I already got married with this new identity. Can't wait to tap that sweet, sweet husband ass when I get home!!"
Alfonso let out a fuck boy's chuckle, only to stop when he heard what he said. There were clearly a lot of changes he was going to have to get used to, whether he liked it or not.
...At the end of the next day, Alfonso found himself watching the nighttime news while his new husband cuddled up against him. His husband was sound asleep after Alfonso pounded his ass. His husband was surprised to see the transformed version of Jackson, but was too excited to get topped to question it. He slept peacefully after getting bred, not knowing there was an escaped convict possessing his husband.
"And now, for tonight's main headline, a group of detained men have escaped from San Juan Detention Center and are at large. The leader of the group is a young man by the name of Edwin Casarubios, who allegedly planned and staged the entire escape himself. Among the escaped inmates are the ringleader Edwin Casarubios, Alfonso De La Torre-"
Alfonso switched off the TV once the news reporter called out his original name. He then gently rolled his sleeping husband off of him and jumped out of bed. He then quietly celebrated the absolute success of his escape plan. Sure, taking over Jackson's body was never Plan A, but Alfonso grew fond of his new body and identity rather quickly when he realized just how much of a goldmine it was. He still had his old memories, but he was growing comfortable living as a gay man with his old LA raza blood coursing through his veins.
Once Alfonso finished celebrating his success, the gravity of the situation began to kick in. He might have successfully escaped, but he had become a man on the run. There was no turning back to his old life now. Alfonso needed to figure out his next steps, and his mind quickly came up with a few ideas.
He could run away to Mexico with Jackson's identity, then de-possess him and live out the rest of his life with his family over there. Or, he could just forget about the whole thing and continue living comfortably as Jackson. Or, he could put his newfound lawyer status to work and get some of his homies out of jail too. He'd get his whole family back together again. Or, he could hunt down Edwin and create an underground potion business with him. Edwin had the magical knowledge, and now Alfonso possessed the professionalism and legal knowledge to keep their business going strong. The possibilities were endless!
As Alfonso deliberated his options, he couldn't help but put on the same dress shirt Jackson had on when they first met. The same shirt that made Alfonso hate him was now a key component to his new identity. Feeling slightly nostalgic now, Alfonso poured himself an ice cold Modelo into an expensive wine glass, and celebrated a successful albeit slightly unorthodox jailbreak plan to himself.

Destinytober 2024 - Create+Together
The sound of squealing children filled the air around the wide, green park. It was particularly busy today, with cloudless skies, and the young ones of the City were using this exciting time to play every game their little minds could achieve.
Tobi-17 sat on a bench, a warm drink from one of the nearby food stalls cupped between his hands. Most of the children were wearing puffy jackets, or handmade sweaters, but several had already been discarded as they began to sweat through the extra layers with all their running around. Soul settled on his shoulder, and the Warlock leaned his head back. He wasnât particularly fond of children, exactly, but he liked to be reminded of what he was fighting for, and he had to admit, the admiration many of the little ones exhibited when they saw him in his armour and robe was certainly a comfortable boost to his ego.
A few Eliksni stood warily on the edges of the park. In the years since they had joined the Cityâs population, they had wandered further out of their comfort zones. One, smaller than Tobi-17 by at least 2 heads, was squatted and pulling up grass with their lower arms, clearly nervous. Near them, another Eliksni, taller, cradled two young ones of her own. Larger than Hatchlings, the Exo thought, but not that old. Comparable to some of the children running around here. He wondered if maybe the one currently tearing up the turf was more akin to a moody teenager.
One of the children was separated from the pack, wheeling from being spun around, and nearly fell to the ground with dizziness, but the mother Eliksniâs upper right arm shot out and caught her, gently. The little girl shook the vertigo from her head and looked up at the alien, wrapped in shimmering greens and golds. The child smiled up at her, and the mother did her best approximation, baring her razor sharp teeth, before quickly hiding her mouth with concern, but the child had turned her attention to the older-than-hatchlings. The small aliens chittered and clung to their mother, blinking their four eyes out of sync.
âThey look funny,â the little girl said, and Tobi-17 stifled a laugh and took a sip of his drink. âDo they know how to play catch up?â
Tobi-17 didnât know how to play catch up, nor did the Eliksni mother, seemingly, and he had a sneaking suspicion that up until about 10 minutes ago, the little girl had no idea how to play, either. Still, the mother choked out her best response.
âWould you like to play?â the question seemed posed both to her own children, as much as the human girl. Even after assimilating and spreading from the Botza District to more accessible areas of the City, not everyone was pleased with their new Eliksni neighbours. City patrols still reported having to break up fights, and the odd alien body wrapped in House Light linen was occasionally discovered stuffed in a back alley, though this occurrence was rarer now. But the motherâs concern was clearly on how this child actually felt about her spawn.
In response, the two small Eliksni crawled down their motherâs body, standing on wobbly legs, and inched towards the girl, whose face seemed to brighten. She tried to give a quick rundown of the rules of catch up, but the little ones didnât quite seem to grasp her words. Unfortunately, it seemed, their education struggled with multiple languages. When they looked at her with confused, sad expressions, she pondered for a moment, then jumped up with an idea, which caused them to flinch in surprise.
âWait right here!â she told them, turning and running back to the other side of the park. The girlâs parents had been watching her like a hawk the entire time, and Tobi-17 could see one was thumbing a comm device. Clearly, even here, they didnât trust the Eliksni. The little girl ran back to them, and began an animated conversation that Tobi-17 couldnât make out. The girlâs mother, presumably, retrieved a small knapsack, and handed it to the girl, who rummaged through it, pulling out several items, and then half handed, half threw the bag back into the womanâs arms, turning and sprinting back.
âHere! I have art supplies!â she said, holding out a thick pad of paper, a box of coloured pencils, and a box that looked as if it might contain clay. When the Eliksni children didnât seem to react, she dropped to the ground, opened her pad of paper, and began to draw.
Tobi-17 slid to the edge of his bench to get a closer look, sipping his rapidly cooling cup, and watched the girl draw a round green shape. The extremely crude drawing of a frog came together quickly, and she turned it around to show the alien youths, who cooed in response. The girl pushed the pad of paper and pencils towards them, and one of the little ones grabbed several in each of its four stubby arms and began to work on something. The other stared quizzically at the box, which the girl happily obliged, opening it and handing a wad of clay to the alien child.
The girlâs absence seemed to have drawn the attention of the other human children, who had begun to cast glances her way and whisper among themselves, before one kid called out.
âCasey, what are you doing over there?â his voice had a slight tremble, as if he was afraid to draw too much attention from the aliens.
âWeâre makinâ stuff!â she responded nonchalantly, her pencils zipping around on her second sheet of paper.
The Eliksni with the clay had begun to sculpt, relatively neatly, despite its small frame. With its claws, it was able to shape the material easily, carving off pieces with one set of arms while the other stretched the wad. Much like the othersâ drawings, it was crude, but the shape of a four winged bird was becoming more and more clear.
The other kids moved in closer to see what exactly Casey was doing, the Eliksni adolescent glaring daggers at them as they approached, which caused the group to freeze, then, moving towards her slowly, hoping that by minimizing their movements, they wouldnât upset the older being.
Crowding around Casey, the group of children craned their necks to look at the stuff being made. It seemed at some point, she and the Eliksni child had both begun working on a single sheet of drawing paper, and while the kids blocked out most of his view now, Tobi-17 could make out the clear shape of the Traveler at the top, the lines that swooped across its massive body drawn in blue, while shapes he assumed were buildings reached up from below. The two were drawing the City, the place they knew and loved, and they were sharing that love with each other.
âThis is coming out great!â Caseyâs voice boomed from below the group. âYouâre really good at drawing! AND WOW!â her voice could have knocked a Legionary off its feet. âYou made that with the clay? Itâs so cool! What is it? Iâve never seen a bird like that before! You even made feathers for it!â
Tobi-17 could see the top of Caseyâs head bounce up as she jumped to her feet.
âYou guys are totally gonna be in a gallery some day!â she beamed. âYou never gave me your names, but I need to know who to look for!â
The small Eliksni chirped and looked back at their mother, who whispered something in their language, then turned back to her.
âEesakks,â said the one who was drawing.
âCheksis,â said the one with the clay, holding it out to Casey to take.
The girl giggled as she took the creation from her companion.
âSounds like Isaac and Checkers,â she turned to show off the four winged bird to the human children, who murmured between themselves.
Sighing with relief that a new bond had been formed, Tobi-17 downed the last of his now chilled drink, and stood, Soul rising off his shoulder and blinking at him. The Warlock strode towards a trash can, one not quite as close to him as the one he knew was behind his bench, and walked past the group of kids.
âYou know,â he said, and the children of both worlds looked up at him in surprise, ânicknames are very cool, but itâs good to make sure you can say their names correctly, too. Itâs about giving respect.â
He looked at his Ghost and raised his eyebrow plates slightly, holding out his hand, and Soul chuckled, transmatting a satchel of candy to one of his Guardianâs hands, and 2 small tanks of Ether Fizz to the other. He handed the sweets to the human kids, whose ravenous hands tore into it before their minds could even form the words âthank you,â and he handed one of the tanks to the mother Eliksni, who took it and made a slight bow, and the other to the adolescent, who snatched it, but turned his head and murmured his own appreciation.
The Exo walked over to the trash, and tossed in his empty cup, turning back to the group of children, who were now sharing in their sweets. Some of the other kids had seemingly also begun drawing, and one seemed to be attempting to once again explain the rules of catch up to the Eliksni children, who seemed to have, perhaps, a minimally wider grasp on the concept than the first time it was detailed to them.
The City was in peace for now. Thatâs all he could ask for, and Tobi-17 hoped that the children of each race would one day be able to sit on a Consensus together, and make decisions that would benefit not just the City, but all of Sol. But for today, those children would just have to make their drawings, and learn that a frogâs legs absolutely do not bend the way Casey drew them.

MONDAY JULY 25TH, 2011 (Avoidance)
8:32 AM I don't want to get up today
8:35 AM Donnie's up. Hey Donnie, can we have a look further into the city today? Just you and me. "Sure. Uh.. anything in mind?" There'll be, like, a City Hall of some sort, right? Maybe we'll benefit from trying to talk to the 'other side.' The people in power here. "Mr. Diplomacy, over here. What if there's Fears there? Like, dangerous ones." Then we turn and leave? "And have them follow us here." Well, we're not gonna know unless we try. And, honestly, I⊠"...yeah?" ...I just. Want a change from the RAF for a bit. "Aww, did something happen yesterday? Did you get in an argument?" No. Maybe I'm.. partied out? <:D ...she patted my head. .w. "We can have a look around. Meet some new people." kissss Donnie, you're an angel, and it never feels right to leave your side. "Awwww!"
8:50 AM We had breakfast. No Cody this time; he's still asleep. <.<;; But we did talk with Heaven, and she gave us directions to City Hall, the "People's Palace." And she wished me luck with finding Bones!
9:14 AM Short drive. San Francisco has good streets. I'm impressed. Man, look at that building! People's Palace, indeed. Majestic, grey, greek-like. Naked lady carving up at the top. "Probably a symbol of democracy or something." Yeah. America!
9:15 AM I'd expect there to be more people here. This city's, y'know, relatively safe. And people love to just mill about; it's one of our favorite pastimes. "Well, we've been seeing a lot of people who don't like the old authorities that much. Maybe the people who did left the city?" Then. Who are the RAF trying to fight? "The Fears." I dunno. Something feels off.
9:16 AM It's... deserted. Yet the lights are on. Someone must be in here. Hello? ⊠HELLO? ⊠that triggered a coughing fit from down this hall.
9:17 AM Little office. Big man. Gotta be in his 40s, 50s. "Hmph. You won't find much to steal in here." We're not looking to steal, sir! "You'd be the first, then. Even the scoundrels who used to work here were ripping the carpets up on their way out. And I trust that rabble by the park even less." donnie "The world's ending. People are gonna panic." "Quite." sigh "I just always liked to imagine we were a more virtuous nation than that. And I mean the whole nation, not California. We're a state, dammit. Nothing's going to change that." Yeah. ..uh. "Yes, who are you? Why did you come? To listen to me talk?" Maybe?? I'm.. Jordan. "I'm Donnie." I came here to learn a little more about.. the way the city is run? "I just came along; I'm good with whatever." "You came here to learn about civics? Huh." stroking his mustache "Maybe the youth isn't lost." Do you know why money is still a thing here? What's this Z currency? "That is still one of the most suspect things to happen in all this Rapture nonsense. The change happened overnight. "Some senior investors and advisors came to the Palace one night earlier this month, and I mean senior, some of the most respected in the nation. They stepped into the Mayor's office, unannounced, unaccompanied, and spent a heated hour shouting profanities, then swiftly left in silence with stormy faces. "Do you know what they had said? "'The dollar is gone.' "That's right. Just like that. It was a demand from 'higher up,' they said. Higher than Congress. Higher than the Senate. Higher than the Supreme Court. Higher than the Pentagon!" W. Who. Who was it from? O: "One of them." he pointed, sinisterly, for effect. donnie "The Fears?" "One of them." Surely some people tried using the dollar anyway, right? Even just for a little purchase. "Of course people tried! We were the first to, as this building was the first to hear of it. But another change happened on that same night: Shortly after the investors and advisors left, the red sky vanished, and that army began patrolling our skies." The Ants of the SkyâŠ
"The ANTS. Yes. ANti-finance Territorial Sentries. They know what we are doing in here. Anyone who spends so much as a penny, on any transaction, is hunted down within minutes. Gunned down... where they standâŠ" now he's looking off into space. I'm. I'm sorry. You must have seen a lot of this. "My colleagues dared the gods. I would have joined them too, had I anything to buy that night. I didn't believe in the demand. But blood speaks louder than decree." What the fuck. What's the point of it? What kind of scheme makes this make sense? ..he's shaking his head. forehead on his hand. "What bothers me is.. the Mayor obviously knew. He had that talk with the advisors. He didn't tell anyone. He let the rumor spread that it was just a demand. He let his staff exchange money. He had to have known. Why didn't he talk to us? Why did he just let us find out?" ... >_< donnie "Then. Then the Z? Did that just.. arrive one day?" "Delivered in secure vans. Stolen, I have no doubt. If anyone knows where they came from, they haven't told me." ..donnie "I'm sorry. Thank you for sharing what must not have been easy to recall." "These storied walls deserve a witness. After all our nation has been through, these walls deserve that much." So you really believe in this place. "And what it means. I feel I owe it, as I didn't do my due diligence when the sky was... real." I understand. Do you want to be left alone? "Yes. I have much to do. Archival work is never done." Th.. thank you for your time.
9:29 AM back in the car. just sitting here. What the fuck was that. Was that real. "At least we know those Ants are dangerous." But why the fuck is this happening this way? That Ant stuff is something I'd expect from Xanadu. But he says a Fear is responsible? "They're Fears, babe. They're bad. Remember the Harlequin? Would this really be that out-of-place for her to do?" I don't know! In terms of severity, sure, she was horrible! In terms of ambition, she was a terrorist! But what's with all the blue sky business? Why Z? Is Z a Xanadu currency, or did the same Fear give it to Xanadu? ..she's rubbing my back. "It's a world of trauma out there now. It kinda already was." Everything just raises questions. All this gunning-down... I feel like my brain's gonna explode. Why are the RAF... what are they doing? Are they just doing a takeover? Are they walking into a trap, the same situation that that government ran into? It doesn't sound like any human actually runs things here. "Why don't we go back to the house and.. ask them? Talk it out. You like talking it out." Talk to Cody? "And Heaven. The leader." I... yeah, okay. We can try.
10:10 AM The house is empty. They'll be off doing their.. secret plans. hnnng. "Then we can go off and do our plans until they get back." Our plans? "I mean the Derek thing. I think it's time we tried really driving around the city. Maybe we'll find places where the graffiti is more common?" It's.. worth a shot.
2:35 PM We've been driving slow. Looking for graffiti. There's been a lot of markings, symbols, tags. Some memes we've seen before. Occasionally a person nearby, who we'd ask about Bones. No luck. Not a clue. We're stopping for lunch. We still have some beef jerky from the rabbit hole. We're gonna sit on a bench and eat.
2:42 PM Some bikers just sped by, roaring without mufflers. Huh. Hadn't seen that yet. I'd kinda been expecting bikers in all this. I wonder where they're going. Maybe we should get bikes too.
4:24 PM Alright. Finished our cruising. I mean, we weren't exactly thorough with it. We just went on a graffiti tour of the city, that's it. "I'm sorry, babe. We'll find him." Yeah. I know. I don't like this city.
4:39 PM When we got back to the house again, this time Tiger and about half a dozen of others from the Party House were gathered on the front steps, listening to Heaven talk from her door. We pulled up and got out of the car, and that's when we saw it: Hanging from a window of the RAF house, limbs tied with flag cord, Winston. With a nasty gash in his neck. It's the modus operandi of the Masked Massacrer, and Heaven corroborated that, as she saw a man in a Jesus Christ mask skulking around nearby and chased him off before noticing Winston herself. Dammit. I mean dammit. We just saved him.
4:45 PM We're all going back to the Party House for a wake.
5:10 PM Tiger couldn't stand it.
5:18 PM When it came time to play some of Winston's favorite songs in memorial, the first one to come on was "Solitude." Candlemass. Holy shit, that was... crushingly awkward. Not many people were willing to listen to it right now.
5:24 PM Someone brought out the alcohol. Heaven left. I think she'd normally frown upon underage drinking, but.
7:58 PM screams "FEAR AT THE DOOR!" oh jesus. another zombie? I'll fucking get it. hang on. head's swimming. I got this.
7:59 PM Holy crap! it's not a zombie!! it's fucking EAT! "Rael, we" shhh IT'S OKAY EVERYONE! I'M GONNA TAKE THIS OUTSIDE! IT'S GONNA GET UGLY! I'M SORRY! c'mon c'mon
8:05 PM okay I think we're far enough away. and this is a good alleyway. none of them will come looking. but just in case, if they do, put me in a headlock. just in, y'know. just in case. "That is a strange plan. Is it just you this time?" Yeah. Donnie's.. I think she went home hours ago. I like your Camper. :) She has blue hair... "I see." I am drunk... I apologize... "Rael, if it makes you comfortable and focused, you may say what you like to me. But I have to talk to you." Holy shit. Please, please talk. I'm all ears. "Can I trust that you will take in what I have to say?" I'm writing it all down! So I will be reading it again in the morning. Or whenever I'm sober. "You... hm. You know by now not to decode the Ciphers." Yes! "This was a surprise to me as well. When I advised you to pursue the sixth Cipher earlier this month, I only knew what I had read in your journal. And I only know the reality now because I read your newer journals. I suspect I may have learned about this on my own had I been in regular conversation with the other Fears, but Rapture has taken up all of my concentration." You really want to stop it. "I do." I do too! If at all possible. For a human like me.
"But there is a complication in the Cipher matter. Someone else has heard about the Ciphers, and not the most up-to-date information. Someone else is going after the seventh Cipher." Someone. Someone else. This is bad, right? "Yes. This is something that must be prevented at any cost." Are you the one who told someone else about the Ciphers? "Not.. to my knowledge. It might be possible that the wrong Camper spoke at the wrong time, but when I talk to myself, I do not go over every detail." You talk to yourself? O: "Don't you?" Only all the time! "..I think I like you drunk. You're so easy to read." I don't think I like being drunk, though. Being drunk is nice when I'm still drinking, but then when I'm not drinking, it's one long ride to sobriety. So. Gotta stop someone from going for the big video game boss battle. Do we know who? "I believe so. I first noticed other people discussing the Cipher in Texas, and I followed the rumors as they spread westward. With birds, I traced their source to a group on motorcycles. They have entered this city, and so I cannot follow them so easily anymore, as suspicion of Fears is greater here. Speaking candidly, I was taking a risk coming to see you at all." Aww, you risked for me.⊠"I risked for the world, Rael. You're my human emissary in this. You can go where Camper can't." I'm your emissaryâŠ
"I need you to find these motorcyclists and stop them. Or lead them out of the city where I can act unobstructed." Got it. I can do that. I can do one or the other. "You will have to act fast; it is not safe to stay in the city for much longer. The Archangel is amassing the undead, and a horde of them will hit in a few days." The Archangel... that's the gas mask one. The zombies. A horde? A few days⊠Y'know, the RAF have something planned for Wednesday. I don't know what it is, but they're working hard at it. "...Anonymous." Yeah. RAF are Anonymous. "Rael, Anonymous is allied with the Archangel." .....what. 'allied with' like, they're neutral towards each other? "They are working for him, delivering his will." How do you. How do you know? "My birds have seen. That adult woman you are staying with leaves the house every day, and her first stop is always to the same construction site, where Death meets her for updates on their plan, not unlike you and me right now." This is huge. This is.. sobering. "I am glad you are returning to your senses. I'll understand if you have trouble believing my information." No, I.. I didn't like the vibes here anyway. Too many things weren't adding up. Plus, I'm pretty sure Cody shot a kid in the head. "Which one is Cody?" The adult man. Do you follow him too? "Of course. But I don't think I should tell you what I have seen." You don't? "It concerns a subject that humans generally do not like to know." Worse than working with Death? Worse than shooting a kid? C'mon, EAT. Don't I do things for you? :C Aren't I your emissary? "And it concerns Donnie." ........read you loud and clear. o_e "I'm sorry." No, no, it's. I get it. On all counts. They have a history. And I don't think it was resolved. And, like. I've been really friendly with you, and there's no way she likes that. "I'm.. sorry." Please. EAT, you're. A friend. I shouldn't have asked. It's not your fault. "I don't want to impact you like this." I know. Unfortunately, this is.. the kind of thing that just happens, with feelings, sometimes. And definitely with drinking. Wow, that was a sloppy move on my part. "Feelings. I think I fear my feelings more than I fear the changes coming to our world." Heh. You and me, both.
8:13 PM "...at times like these, what should I do?" To achieve what? "Making you smile at me again." ..⊠hugggg
(Attached: "A Fearâs appearance, you know, is important. If we want humans to listen to us, we have to play up our powers, make ourselves look more important than we are. This is why the slender man wore a suit, why Death wears a gas mask, and why I keep my beard long and my book largeâ we want humans to fear us, we want to appear formidable. Salmacis, however, has a soft spot. It refuses to acknowledge any of them, but the apocalypse brings them out of her. And one of these soft spots of hers is the idea that humans will be more likely to assist if they feel they can trust her, rather than fear her. So over the course of the apocalypse, when it realized it needed to take some serious action to convince lots of people in so little time to help, it experimented with lots of different looks and approaches before it settled on giving her Camper blue hairâ usually through wigs or hair-dyesâ and overall blue colour schemes for clothing. And that all started here. Her first blue Camper was complete accident. It was just the nearest one to Jordan at the time. California, am I right?â)

"The War of the Forgotten"
"The War of the Forgotten"
In the year 2089, the Earth had transformed into a landscape dominated by towering megacities, their shimmering glass spires piercing through layers of toxic air. Climate collapse had forced humanity to live in vertically-stacked arcologiesâself-contained cities with artificial ecosystems, enclosed in transparent domes to shield inhabitants from the unlivable environment outside. These cities functioned as hubs of hyper-advanced technology, where quantum networks and AI governed every aspect of life, from personal assistants to global diplomacy.
Inside this glittering future, however, a silent horror was unfolding: thousands of children between the ages of six and ten began vanishing without a trace. Despite AI systems monitoring individuals through every interaction and movement, the missing children seemed to disappear into thin air, with no physical evidence left behind. The phenomenon, labeled the âSilent Plague,â sowed panic across the world.
Governments fell into chaos as people demanded answers. Yet, the cause remained elusiveâuntil 2093, when a faction of speculative scientists called the New Dawn Collective revealed the unsettling truth: the children had not been abducted but accidentally transported into parallel timelines by a malfunctioning machine called The Shift Engine.
The Shift Engine and Its Malfunction
The Shift Engine, built beneath the Pacific Ocean in a sealed laboratory, was designed to fold space-time and offer humanity an escape route to alternate realities untouched by ecological collapse. However, the machine had malfunctioned, targeting only children, whose developing cognitive abilities made them more adaptable to different timelines. Unbeknownst to the public, many of these children had become pivotal leaders in other worlds, ensuring the survival of humanity across multiple dimensions.
The New Dawn Collective defended the Shift Engine, arguing that the children's disappearance was a tragic but necessary cost. They believed the children were heroes, chosen by fate to save countless worlds. However, a growing faction called the Preservation Allianceâdriven by grieving parentsâdemanded the return of every lost child, even if it meant destroying the alternate timelines that depended on them.
A Motherâs Mission
Aria Landers, an AI ethicist living in one of Tokyoâs vertical arcologies, was among the many devastated parents. Her son Liam had vanished two years earlier. Every morning, she walked through the artificial parks inside the megacity, haunted by the hollow laughter of children that were no longer there. Determined to bring Liam back, she joined the Preservation Alliance and rose to become one of its key operatives.
The war between the two factions ignited in 2094. Drones patrolled the skies, and digital propaganda flooded augmented reality feeds, showing images of the missing children as heroes of other dimensions. Clashes erupted in arcology corridors and underground data bunkers, where hackers tried to seize control of the AI system governing the Shift Engine.
The Final Infiltration
Ariaâs last mission took her to the depths of the Pacific, where the Shift Engineâs facility was hidden under miles of seawater. She descended in a stealth submersible, navigating past swarms of automated defense drones. The underwater base was a marvelâwalls lined with shimmering nanomaterial that absorbed sound, glowing interfaces projecting holograms of alternate timelines, and rows of quantum computers running simulations of potential futures. It was here that Aria learned the unsettling truth: Liam was now a leader in a timeline on the brink of extinction. His quick thinking during a water crisis had saved millions of lives, and his role in that world was far from over.
Standing before the glowing core of the Shift Engine, Aria faced an impossible choice. If she shut down the machine, all the alternate timelinesâincluding Liamâsâwould collapse. The children would return, but at the cost of the futures they had saved. If she left the engine active, the children would never come back, but their new worlds would thrive.
A Motherâs Love Across Timelines
Aria placed her hand on the control panel, feeling the low hum of the quantum engine vibrating through her fingertips. Her heart ached with the weight of the decision. With a deep breath, she reprogrammed the Shift Engine to send one final message to Liam:
"My son, I love you. If you are happy where you are, stay. But if you wish to return, I will fight to bring you home."
Then, she disabled the machineâs future functionality, ensuring that no more children would be taken. The Shift Engine's core dimmed, and the underwater base fell silent. The war ended that day, and the world adjusted to a future without the lost childrenâhaunted by their absence but hopeful that they were creating better worlds elsewhere.
Epilogue: A Whisper Across Worlds
Years later, Aria sat in one of Tokyoâs floating parks, surrounded by trees genetically engineered to bloom in the polluted air. The artificial sky above her shifted from gold to violet as the cityâs light sensors adjusted to the evening. A soft breeze brushed her cheekâa moment of peace that felt eerily familiar, like the touch of her sonâs hand.
She smiled, knowing that somewhere, in another timeline, Liam was thriving. And perhaps, one day, through the infinite possibilities of the multiverse, he might find his way back to her.

From my COVID Journals.
Emerald City. June 4th, 2020, Four years ago today.
Day 80.
We're under both Virus Lockdown, and because of the police murder of George Floyd a Civil Disorder Curfew. Arrest if out after Curfew, 8pm-5am. Many patrolling choppers overhead. Subways and buses will run only for Essential workers.
The whole City is in Curfew.
Despite this some parts of town have more protests than others. Downtown and my 'hood, and various points in Manhattan. It's just after 10pm now. Curfew has been in force since eight. If you're in the City stay in... they 'will'Â arrest, if you're not an essential worker. I've seen this happen from my windows. Image above is around my corner in what used to be rush hour here in Brooklyn.
If these were normal times a lot of us including me would present ourselves at hospitals for the works. Basically, everything physical, and emotional is fucked up, and broken for near everyone.
My assorted co-morbidities as it's put these days are in the red, and have been for over a month. I'll let you imagine the details since many of you have the same things. Also my disposition of being personally clean, and tidy went out the window a while ago.
As I enjoy saying Queers are genetically engineered by nature to be tidy. We can also cook do art have a good fashion sense, and are too smart for our own good.
I feel like hell.
That, and the world as we knew it is rapidly ending all around us. This time I don't think we go back to exactly the way it was. No matter how delusionally our head of state wants it. I read that the higher ranks of the military including the former head of the Joints Chiefs and Commandant of the bleeping Marine Corps is finally letting loose on #45.
Also the current Secretary of the Army is not sure it's a good idea to inflict the regular armed forces on the American people. Which is to say "...Dominate them" as our head of state insists. Seems the Constitution has stuff to say about specifically that.
Serious religious leaders are less than jolly that our head of state has been using historic places of worship for disturbed photo-ops. Especially when using military police forces to violently clear demonstrators out of the way.
Then there's the Virus...the one that just killed over 100,000 people in this republic. ...remember that? It's still here, and as infectious as it was the first day.
That Second Wave is going to be fucking Hell. Just like the second wave of the 1918 Pandemic was.
What with information poor violent, and heavily armed anti-lockdown fans spreading it everywhere. Them, and young folks bored with quarantine and thinking they're immortal...didn't we all when kids. These folks are going clubbing to the parks, amusement grounds, and the beach.
Now many tens of thousands are exposing themselves each other, and their families. This also in the waves of demonstrations in all 50 States. As part of our re-ignited Race War.
Since the plague is clearly over my landlord is sending contractors to fix my bathroom. I have extra masks if needed. *(When they came they were wearing homemade Hazmat outfits...smart.)
Did I cover everything?
Well, the Pentagon just reminded us that UFO's are real. The second time they did this. They admit them things have been generally hanging around and buzzing their bases and aircraft carriers for years. But still say they don't know what they are. ...yeah right.
"Watch the Skies!"
(Reference to a classic S/F flick.)
Anyway I took my first hot shower in three days, and I need to shop for food. I finally ran through my pantry bunker of canned goods.
Speaking of Bunkers.
Our head of state, and his pals are in the middle of re-writing history. ...again. This about the secret service stuffing him into the White House Nuke Bunker during the protests.
As in 1984 there's a major re-write in progress. Seems he was not cowering, but out, and about heroically surveying the damage done by terrorist liberals, old pacifists and assorted troublemakers.
Update
*(The virus is still with us in 2024. This in cases of 'Long Covid'. Tho' much subdued for most since the vaccines and common-sense precautions. Trump is still here and the same. Tho' convicted of 39 felonies and awaiting sentencing. Btw more trials to come. He's also running for president...again. This after his 2021 attempted coup and violent transfer of power to stay in office when voted out. One of his coming trials will be about that. UFOs are still with us but mostly stay out of our hair. They seem more interested in Asia these days. The Chinese air force shooting at them. ...good luck.
As of June 2024. One Million+ people in this republic have died of Covid. Five times what we lost in WW2. 10's of millions around the world. Yet here we have willfully forgotten anything happened like we did with the 1918 Pandemic.)
Stay tuned.

The Future of Transportation: Electric Vehicles and Autonomous Driving
There are a number of transportation advancements that seem to be light years away, but they could be coming to our roads and skies sooner than we think. From electric cars with the ability to steer themselves toward highway entrances and exits, to trains that can travel two times faster than aircrafts, there are some exciting developments on the horizon.
In the world of automotive technology, self-driving vehicles are getting closer to reality by the day. Cars that can automatically assess traffic situations and react to them have already been developed by companies such as Tesla, Google and Apple. This tech, called autonomous driving, aims to make cars more comfortable and safer on the road. It can also reduce the number of accidents and fuel consumption, lessening the need for highway patrols and emergency services.
Besides making your daily commute more comfortable and safe, autonomous cars can save you money on gas, maintenance and parking fees. They can also reduce emissions and energy waste by optimizing their speed and minimizing idling time. They can even help with logistics and supply chain management by communicating with other autonomous vehicles and delivering cargo to destinations on schedule.
Autonomous vehicles techogle.co could make life for people with disabilities much more convenient, as they would allow them to participate in traffic on their own terms. The societal and economic benefits of this technological advancement are enormous. Human error causes 94% of vehicle crashes, and eliminating this factor could dramatically reduce costs. For example, a 2010 NHTSA study found that vehicle crashes result in billion dollar losses that range from lost work productivity to decreased quality of life and death.
Another promising development that combines electrification and automation is the eVTOL aircraft, or electric vertical take-off and landing planes. These battery powered machines are quieter than helicopters and have redundancy systems to ensure safety. The first fully automated air taxis, built by companies such as Uber, are scheduled to hit the market in 2025.
Many other transportation innovations combine both electrification and automation. They include differing versions of the autonomous MagLev train suspended above city streets; cable cars far above urban skylines; electric scooters and bicycles, and autonomous busses that can collect technology news passengers and deliver goods. All of these ideas are in the early stages of design or testing, but they may be just a few regulatory steps away from being available to consumers. Fortunately, they all utilize the same advanced battery and computer technology that is becoming the core of future transportation technology. As these new modes of transport become more widely available, they will help us move from a fossil-fuel dependent economy to one based on alternative energy sources and sustainable mobility. We canât wait to see what the next century will bring for these transformative technologies!

Weather cancels Moncton air show but plenty for military buffs
It was supposed to be a weekend of parachute jumps and aerobatics, but instead, it was three days of rain and cloudy skies in Moncton.
The Soldier On Air Display by the CF Snowbirds was grounded. So too was the SkyHawks Parachute Team.
Neither the SkyHawks or the Snowbirds got off the ground all weekend long.
The flight demonstration team needs a cloud ceiling of a minimum of 1,000 feet to perform their most basic air show and it was nowhere near that on Sunday.
Snowbirds Public Affairs Officer Cpt. Gabriel Ferris said it was disappointing not to be able to fly over Moncton this weekend.
"We were trying last year, we were trying the year before, so we were really hoping to be able to put on a display here in New Brunswick. It's disappointing, but there's not much we can do with the weather. Mother Nature decides and we just follow what she decides," said Ferris.
The SkyHawks were supposed to make a jump during the Three Fathers Memorial Run in Moncton's Riverfront Park.
SkyHawks Public Affairs Officer Lt. Rebecca Garand said the weather just didn't cooperate.
"We were expecting to jump for the whole weekend for multiple events and we tried so hard. Last time, we were just waiting by the plane to have it clear up because sometimes miracles happen, but it wasn't the case for us this weekend. We're really sad, but also safety is the number one issue for us," said Garand. "But we still came to the crowds and met people and signed some autographs and made the best of the time we were here."
Ferris said the snowbirds do have a maintenance day planned on Monday so it's possible a few of the jets may fly over the city, weather permitting.
While the cool, wet weather cancelled the air show, there was still a lot going on for military buffs.
The Canadian Armed Forces had armoured vehicles, jeeps, patrol cars, inflatable boats and weapons on display downtown.
The event was in support of Soldier On, a program that helps ill and injured veterans.
As expected, the display was a big hit with kids.
Canadian Forces Cpt. Adair Howe said kids want to know everything about the equipment.
"They want to know what the vehicle does, how fast it goes. They want to get in them, they want to play around in them and we want to make sure they know why we do it and have a fun time learning about it," said Howe.
Kids could also climb into a replica Spitfire fighter plane from the Second World War.
Flying Officer John Stewart Hart from Sackville, N.B., was the only Atlantic Canadian to fly a Spitfire during the Battle of Britain in 1940.
Air Show Atlantic executive director Colin Stephenson said they're always excited to bring the three-quarter scale model out to the public, which was built in 1990 for the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
"It's tremendous. It attracts so many people. It's travelling history is what it is. We put it in our trailer and we go to all three provinces around to different events and we're so proud to show it off and draw attention to our show. It's a promotional piece for the air show, but more importantly, to honour veterans because our Spitfire is actually named after a Canadian veteran," said Stephenson.
Stephenson said kids usually ask the same question.
"Is it real? I'd love to say yes, but it's just a really good model. They always say thank you," said Stephenson. "They're thrilled the controls work and the surfaces move, that it has sound to it. They're really excited to get in there."
Noah Alizadeh of Saint John said he's never seen anything like it before.
"It was fun, it was cool," said Noah.
The John S. Hart Spitfire will be on display at an airshow in Debert, N.S., on Aug. 26 and 27.

Top 3 Beach near Powell, OH
Introduction
Welcome to Powell, Ohio. It's a small town with big scenery! If you're looking for some great beaches to visit while in Powell, I've got you covered. Here are the top 3 beaches near me:
Grayton State Park
Grayton State Park is a great place to go for a day trip. It has a beach, boat launch, campground, and playground. The park also has picnic areas as well as nature centers where you can learn about the wildlife in the area.
Black River Bay State Park
Black River Bay State Park is a great place to go for a swim, hike, and camp. It's located in Huron County, Ohio, and offers hiking trails, fishing opportunities, and campsites. The park is near the Black River and Lake Erie so there are plenty of opportunities for swimming or boating if you don't want to drive too far away from home!
Great Seal State Park
Great Seal State Park is on the Ohio River in Clermont County, Ohio. It's a 1,093-acre park with a large campground and boat launch. There are 62 campsites available at Great Seal State Park that can accommodate tents or RVs up to 35 feet long. The park also has a swimming beach and picnic areas with grills available for use by campers during their stay in this beautiful area of Ohio!
Lewis Centre
The Lewis Centre is the largest city in Delaware County, Ohio, United States. The population was 8,539 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area.
Lewis Center was laid out in 1856 by Robert Boughton Lewis (1828-1895), who owned much land around there and wanted to create a town on his own property. In 1868 he gave half his land away for free to anyone willing to build homes there; these people formed what would become known as "Old Town" Lewis Center today.
Orange
Orange Beach is a great place to go if you're looking for peace and quiet. This beach is located in the northwest corner of Powell, OH. It's only about 10 minutes away from downtown Powell, so it's easy to get there without having to drive too far out of town.
Orange Beach has some great amenities such as a pavilion with picnic tables and grills, restrooms with running water and sinks inside them (a rarity on many Ohio beaches!), plus plenty of parking spaces so that no one has trouble finding a spot when they arrive. There are also lifeguards who patrol this area during peak season (May through September), so swim at your own risk if you go outside those months!
If this sounds like your kind of place then bring along sunscreen because unlike other beaches we've covered today this one doesn't have any shade trees or umbrellas available at all - just sand dunes everywhere! Plus don't forget towels since there aren't any showers either...just kidding - there's actually one shower head near each set of bathrooms which means multiple people can use it at once without taking forever waiting their turn like most public facilities do nowadays...but still bring towels just in case someone else hasn't cleaned theirs yet :)
Takeaway:
Powell, OH is home to some of the best beaches in Ohio. Whether you're looking for a quiet spot to relax or an action-packed day out with friends and family, these three beaches have something for everyone.
The most popular beach in Powell is South Beach Park (also known as Lakeview Park). This beach has lifeguards on duty during summer months and offers amenities such as restrooms, picnic tables, grills, and playground equipment for kids. The lake itself is calm enough for swimming but not deep enough for boating or jet skiing - which makes it perfect if you want your kids to swim but don't want them playing around boats!
If you're looking for more than just sand between your toes then visit Sunset Cove Marina & Boat Launch where there are plenty of activities including fishing charters available through local charter companies like Captain Jim's Charters & Tours LLC which offer deep sea fishing trips lasting anywhere from two hours up until full-day excursions depending on how much time they have available each day."
Conclusion
We hope you enjoyed our list of the top 3 beaches near Powell, OH. If you have any questions or comments please leave them below!

Best Beaches on America's West Coast
The United States west coast, often known as the Pacific coast, is one of the most stunning and attractive areas to visit. It also has some of the world's greatest beaches. Cannon Beach, Colorado, Boca del Cielo, Hermosa Beach, and Thousand Steps are among them.
La Jolla is a picturesque coastal community in San Diego County. The people and activities in the little town are diverse. The town is home to numerous prominent people, ranging from surfers to painters. It's also noted for its arid environment, with minimal precipitation.
The coastal region of La Jolla has a variety of beaches. There are rocky outcroppings, vast golden sands, and reef breaks. The water temperature is frequently cooler than other locations of the San Diego shoreline. La Jolla is well-known for its excellent surfing. The La Jolla Surfing Classic attracts the best names in the sport. The tournament is completely free to watch.
Cannon Beach is the place to go if you want to get away from the city and spend some time in the sun. Its broad, sandy beach is great for a relaxing day or an intimate picnic. You may also visit the town's numerous art galleries, cafés, and speciality stores. The Oregon coast has numerous amazing things to view, including the famed Haystack Rock. This 235-foot-tall sea stack is a natural landmark that makes for great photography.
In addition, the town holds yearly events and festivals. The Cannon Beach Sandcastle Contest, for example, is held every June. For the more daring, try surfing at one of the many nearby surf sites.
For a beach fanatic, it's hard to beat Colorado. The state features an abundance of water bodies and various rivers. These two elements work together to make it a swimming paradise. There's a beach for everyone, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned surfer. There is also a lot to see and do. In addition to swimming, you may take a stroll on the lake, kayak, or even go sailing. In the state, there are hundreds of lakes and waterways. The Grand Lake, a natural lake outside of Rocky Mountain National Park, is the biggest. It is a popular swimming, water skiing, and kayaking destination. It is also a fantastic area to try your luck at fishing.
Hermosa Beach, California, is a picturesque coastal hamlet in the Los Angeles region. This small, attractive town is well-known for its beautiful weather and plenty of outdoor activities. Swimming, surfing, and other water activities are prevalent there. It also boasts a thriving nightlife. The Strand is a paved walkway that extends along the shore. You may walk or cycle along the Strand, which is around 22 kilometres long. Along the journey, there are several locations to stop for a drink or a bite.
Fiesta Hermosa, an annual street festival, takes place at Hermosa Beach. This street carnival includes live music as well as hundreds of artists. For years, it has been a ritual. 1000 Steps Beach is one of Laguna Beach's most popular beaches. It is located in South Laguna and has breathtaking cliff views, saltwater pools, tidal pools, caverns, and secret swimming pools. However, this is not a beach for the faint of heart. The steps are steep and require some trekking, so be prepared.
There is also a funicular you can ride on to reach the top of the beach, making it an excellent area to enjoy a picnic. OC Lifeguards also patrol this beach. The term "electronic commerce" refers to the sale of electronic goods. It has beautiful scenery, foggy shorelines, and intriguing rock formations. This is a great surf area with a variety of tidal pools. It is home to California sea lions as well as numerous seabirds.
Rialto Beach is a wonderful spot to spend the day. It boasts a mile-and-a-half beach, rocky and sandy coastlines, and breathtaking views. It also has the iconic Hole in the Wall marine arch. The Hole in the Wall is a marine arch that looks like a cavern. It is located near the Quillayute River in Olympic National Park. It's only accessible at low tide. Boca del Cielo in Chiapas is the place to go if you're searching for a free and open beach. This little village in southwest Mexico is only 701 kilometres from Mexico City.
Aside from the beach, there are several more places to visit. The lagoon La Joya is a popular spot for boating and fishing. The Encrucijada Biosphere Reserve is close. This is a protected area with a variety of aquatic birds. You may also take a water taxi from Tonala's main centre. Cabanas Eclipse and Entremares Cabanas are popular choices. These rustic and modest lodgings provide access to a private beach.

From a Distance
The one good thing about tall buildings is that you can see everything from its peak. Wether it be the whole city, whole park, or the vast ocean space facing the east. Bakugou, or Pro-Hero Dynamite, took it to the skies to over see any suspicious behavior happening or anyïżŒ lurking criminals around. He was always on alert when patrolling at night, especially around your neighborhood.
He recognized you a few times, you were always in some sort of trouble. The first time was being robbed, some low life thug tried to steal your bag but even when Katsuki was on his way you instinctively pepper sprayed the offender leaving him impaired. Arriving on the scene, Katsuki was slightly impressed normally a damsel in distress would just scream and call for help. You thanked the Pro-Hero and police for arresting the guy and putting him away, Katsuki only shrugged it is his job after all.
The second time was accidental. He was just with his friend from high school another Pro-Hero, Red Riot strolling through a market not on duty. He took a glimpse at a nearby stall that was selling boba drinks and thatâs when he saw it. He saw a pervert standing a little too close to you as you bent down to pick up a knocked down display, his phone underneath your pleaded skirt. Katsuki marched right over to tell off this prick but unfortunately for the pervert his phone wasnât on silence. You heard the picture snap sound and immediately turned around and your first instinct was smacking the guy right there.
âHow dare you! Get the hell away from me you pervert!â
Causing a scene was perfect it drew attention to the offender and made him embarrassed trying to walk away. However Katsuki stopped him, he pulled him back and nearly let out an explosion on his ass but because he was off duty, he just held him while he called his sidekick to take care of the situation. And while he waited, Katsuki made sure the creep deleted the photo off his phone and just for payback for any other women he mightâve done this too, he destroyed the creeps phone with just one blast. But when Katsuki looked around, you were already gone.
The third time he recognized you was purely unintentional. If you consider passing by your job while you worked but never going inside unintentional. He was in full hero gear of course he wasnât going to go inside, he just made sure to patrol this certain department store more frequently. You just couldnât escape his mind, what was it about you? Youâre just a regular civilian so why were you on his mind? He let these thoughts ponder too long and only hearing an alarm sound go off is what made him snap back. He watched from a distance on top of a nearby store you chasing down a robber. He couldnât believe why a women like you would personally chase down a 6â1 man down a busy street at night. He quickly took off and followed in pursuit, though above you he could tell you were fast but not faster than him.
Just when Katsuki got close enough and citizens were out the way he flew down and kicked the criminal in his back causing him to fall forward. The robber dropped the bag he had with him and Katsuki kicked it to the side. You caught up just in time to retrieve it but thatâs when this 6â1 masked man quickly got up held a gun up to Katsuki. Thatâs when people started shouting and moving away to safety but you just really wanted to retrieve the bag with the items this guy tried to steal. The masked robber fired a warning shot into the air which made people scream but he was shaking. Katsuki could tell this was his first offense and wasnât going to actually shoot anyone. From his ïżŒperipheral vision, Katsuki could see you inch closer to the bag from the side and if he could see you so can the robber. In which he then pointed his gun at you and order you to stop moving but before you could process the words Katsuki was fast enough and exploded towards the perpetrator grabbing him by his arm and fully flipping him over his shoulder and onto the ground. The gun was dropped and the criminal was apprehended. Police showed up and secured the area making sure no one got in the way. While giving information to the police, Katsuki saw you being checked out by the ENT.
âGuys I said Iâm fine.â
âItâs just our job miss, you were close to that warning shot your ears must hurt.â
âThey donât. Can I go now?â You clutched onto the back bag and started retreating but you stumbled into the Pro-Hero.
You two just stared at each other not sure why either of you arenât looking away. The air suddenly was hard to breathe and you could feel your pulse quicken. Was this the aftermath of being close to shot range?
âYou know itâs pretty stupid of you to run after a bad guy. Next time just call the police.â Dynamite said to you.
âWhaâHey Iâm pretty damn fast. I almost caught up to him.â You defended.
âKey word, almost. Luckily I stopped him. Why was that bag so worth it anyway?â
Without another word you opened the black bag and revealed what the criminal was trying to steal.
âThis wasnât the stores money. It was ours. He made the employees empty their pockets and wallets. I work mostly with moms who pack double shifts just to keep food on the table. It wasnât right to just let him get away.â
A moment of silence was shared between the two of you. Thatâs what it was though, a moment. Katsuki walked away without saying anything else and you walked backed to your store returning the money to its owners. They all thanked you and patted you on the back for such bravery. You smiled warmly at them and played it off as no big deal.
Everyday went on as normally as they could, work was normal the gym was normal, shopping was normal. Everything seemed too normal. You always had a lingering feeling that something or rather someone was watching you but you knew if anything were to happen you always had pepper spray.
And so Katsuki watched. He watched you tuck your hands in your jacket and take a deep breathe of the winter air in. You looked both ways before crossing the street and continued to walk down towards the train station. He doesnât mind the extra patrolling itâs how he could see you without any excuse. He doesnât mind watching you from a distance.

count the stars by emavee He doesnât know what to do. Itâs not like he can stop the storm. If he could wave a magic wand and make the sky clearâor even if he could call up someone from his large contact list full of metas who could control the weatherâhe would. He would honestly disrupt Gothamâs weather patterns if it meant Dick would stop crying. Or: Dick doesnât like thunderstorms, so Bruce takes him somewhere where they canât touch him.
Recogitare by lapsedpacifist A stranger shows up in the Batcave, claiming to be one of Bruceâs adopted children and a hero in his own right. Bruce has never seen him before, so why are his other kids calling the intruder âGraysonâ and believing that this âNightwingâ really exists?
a home not yet a home by Mayarene Rose (Paradise_of_Mary_Jane) Dick just likes climbing to the roof sometimes. He doesnât mean anything by it. He doesnât. He just needs to be high up sometimes. He likes looking at the stars. Stars are hard to come by in the city and you need to be high up to even see them properly. He misses the strong wind, the clear air. Gotham doesnât have either of those, but he sometimes feel a gentle sea breeze when he stands on top of the manorâs roof at midnight. And he definitely doesnât need Bruce Wayne going after him. Or trying to. Struggling to fit out of the window Dick climbed out of and potentially break his neck. He doesn't need Bruce Wayne pretending heâs going to break his neck to guilt Dick into going back inside.
by all means rome by dustorange âDoes this mean youâll be joining us on patrol tonight, Richard?â Dick smiled again, eyes crinkling at the edges. âMaybe even the rest of the weekend depending on how long the case goes.â He glanced at Bruce, hesitating. âAssuming thatâs okay with you?â âOf course,â Bruce answeredâso quickly he nearly interrupted Dick.
" Sometimes I Think He's The Only Thing I Ever Did Right." by GallentKnight Injured and drowning in the depths of Gotham Bay, Bruce reflects on his relationship with his eldest son.
Almost, Nearly by CKBookish Dick was just supposed to go with him to lunch. He wasn't supposed to get shot. He wasn't supposed to be bleeding out in the pouring rain on the steps of Wayne Enterprises. But then Bruce hadn't expected that sniper and he had seen it far to late.

Even in the Midst of Grief by Ellegrine Richard Grayson has never hurt Damian. Itâs unforgivable that anyone should believe otherwise.
the city without stars in its skies by Alienu âGotham is filthy,â Damian says flatly, honestly. âI understand now why Mother sent me here instead of coming herself.â Nightwingâs face is turned to the left, but the smile on his lips is audible. âItâs not all bad,â he says. Damian thinks of Grayson, and the too-sweet donut he had given him, and the Chinese restaurant with the nice Asian lady and the park and the stray cat that had crossed through the grass in the darkness. âNo,â he admits grudgingly, âI suppose not.â (Or, in a world where he was never sent to live with his father, Damian al Ghul is contracted to assassinate one Dick Grayson.)
Statera by HuiLian Moments in time, where Damian discovered who Dick Grayson is
Paint Cans and Sneaking Out by Batshit_Bogs Shadowed corners were far more dangerous to Damian Wayne than to Robin, and he didnât know what to expect as a civilian. A year and half later and heâs grown used to it. Now, the promise of anonymity on the streets is enough to make his steps lighter. The buildings no longer loom, they invite. The city is full of blank canvases ready for him to paint. - Damian has picked up a hobby that he's determined to keep a secret. It's a good thing he has friends to back him up.
The Colours Are Illusions by Laquilasse (laquilasse) Wake up.
Choices by cadkitten A drunk driver almost kills Dick and Damian's having a hard time not falling apart.

I Hope You Will Understand by lapsedpacifist What if after that shitshow that was Bruce's return from the death there was the last, brief moment of co-existence between Dick, Damian, and Bruce before they separated again. Dick didn't want to leave Damian behind, Damian was not as excited to meet his father again as he wanted to be, and Bruce⊠and Bruce could never seem to say the right thing.

Goofing around
Ectoberhaunt 2022, Side Order. Prompt: Purify
Summary: Danielle came back to Amity Park, and the first person she visits is one Valerie Gray. They talk a bit and play on the skies of Amity Park, however soon the clone realizes that the fuel the Red Huntress is using isnât optimized.
Content Warning: Ectoplasm is talked to be similar to blood, so maybe warning there? IDK I'm not sure if it applies here since there's no bleeding going on :V
0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o
Flying in the air, a black blur began speeding towards Amity Park, not leaving any trail behind it as it continued with an objective in mind.
âHehehehe, thisâll be awesome!â Exclaimed a female voice as she flew over Amity Park, finally arriving to the city, now changing directions in order to reach a certain hotel, one that was inhabited by none other than Valerie Gray, also known as the Red Huntress by the people on the streets whenever she goes out on patrols or is fighting ghosts.
Finally a few minutes later the ghost ended up outside the hotel, said figure remaining invisible to avoid problems, and entered the room that was overlooking the street on the fourth floor. Sitting on the bed that was there, the ghost let go of her invisibility and let rings of light split from her waist, turning the ghost into a human version of herself; this was Danielle Fenton, also known as Danielle Phantom, nicknamed Ellie by everyone who knew her. Right now what she was doing was waiting for her friend to arrive home so that she could give them a surprise with her presence there.
Finally after what seemed like a whole year but was actually only half an hour, one Valerie Gray arrived home and enter her apartment, leaving her bag in the entrance and entering her room, blinking rapidly as she saw the cloned halfa sittin in her bed while drawing something in a notebook that was left in the desk besides herself.
âEllie!â Gray lost all her tiredness instantly as she run to hug her, knocking them both down in the bed
âVal!â she greeted back, hugging tightly and floating both of them above the bed to spin on it, and finally letting gravity take a hold of the pair once she was over her friend
âI didnât know you were coming back! You shouldâve told me, I couldâve prepared a whole day for us to hang out together.â
âI wanted to surprise you girl, itâs NOT easy doing that, let me tell youâ
âHA! You can say that again, I have to be aware of everything that happens around me in case a ghost decides to attack after allâ
âI know I know, but now that Iâm here, itâs time for the both of us to have some FUN! What do you say, Val? Wanna fly around Amity and practice shooting the Box Ghost once he makes an appearance?â
âI canât say no to that. Let me leave a note to my dad that I might be out late and Iâll be ready to fly awayâ With that, Valerie pushed Danielle off of herself and sat on a chair that was on the desk next to her bed, ripping a blank page out of the same notebook that her friend was drawing in to write said note for her father.
âIâll lock the door and weâll be jumping out of the window to the outside for a quick flyâ
âSure thing, Iâll be waiting outside meanwhile.â And with that, Ellie turned into her ghost form once more and flew outside the apartment, waiting for her friend to get out and begin flying around as well. Once she was suited up, out and flying on her hoverboard, the now ghost began the race. âFirst one to the park wins! Ready-Set-Go!â
And without leaving any time for Valerie to react she instantly flew in the direction of Amity Parkâs park, making sure to fly above all the buildings to give Val a fair race as well, who by the way was slowly but surely shortening the distance between the two of them. One the Red Huntress managed to reach her they were three streets away from the park, and this became an intense race to see who would be the winner this occasion; and in order to secure her win, Ellie shot a small ectoblast towards Val, a weak one so as to not harm her, but strong enough to imbalance her and slow her down enough to take the lead once more and crown herself the winner of the race.
âYes! I won!â began doing loop de loops in the air Danielle as she heard Val arrive behind her two seconds later, right in the middle of her first loop.
âYeah, because you cheated!â Screamed without any venom the red cladded vigilante, a bit pissed at her friend yet remaining fond of her regardless, like friends often do when they tease each other.
âI never said we couldnât shoot each other, that means I didnât cheatâ
âOh yeah? Well I guess that means thereâs nothing wrong if I do this, right?â retorted Val, not giving Danielle any time to respond as she pulled out a small ectogun and shot it at her friend, tumbling her and interrupting her third loop.
âHey! No fair!â
âThere wasnât any rule about not shooting the winner of the raceâ
âWhy you little, come here!â Exclaimed once more the half ghost, flying after Valerie, and after a few seconds of escapades and running around aimlessly, she was finally captured, tumbling the both of them onto the dirt of the park, to a thankfully unoccupied part of the place (whether that was because of what seemed like a ghost fight or not, thatâs a thing to discuss another time). â*sniff sniff* Hey Val, I donât suppose you didnât skip on any shower nor did you step on dog poop, did you?â
âOf course not! ⊠Iâm not smelly, am I?â
âNot really? Iâm more like⊠perceiving something nasty instead of smelling something like that.â Sniffing around, Ellie finally managed to zero on the origin of the thing that was giving her the heebie jeebies. âOh, it was your shot.â
âWait, I didnât hurt you badly, did I?â Val instantly jumped up from the ground and began inspecting the area of impact, looking out for anything that might indicate that the damage was more severe than expected
âNah, it wasnât that strong that blast to begin with, no need to worry about that.â Assuaged Danielle towards her friend, calming her down a fair bit. âCan I check out your weapons?â
âEh, sure thing.â Val let out the gun that she shot Ellie with and gave it to her so she could inspect it. The half ghost sniffed it a bit and recoiled a little bit, indicating that the problem was effectively in the weapon; pressing some of the buttons present in it in order to learn what each of them did, until finally the part with the ammo opened, which in reality was only a small part on the top of the gun that allowed both of the girl to see how the ectoplasm flowed from the ambient towards the magazine, revealing at the same time something purple that was blocking some of the âventsâ that separated the interior with the exterior of the magazine.
âThereâs the problem, your weapon has a little bit of corrupted ectoplasm blocking out the filter thingy right there that feeds the ambient ectoplasm into it to give it ammo,â revealed the truth behind the problem Danielle, using her own finger to take the corrupted ectoplasm out and later burn it with some ectofire of her own, both girls witnessing how the flame instead of being itâs characteristic neon green became some shade of grayish green, which slowly but surely continued burning until it became neon green once again, âwell, there you have it, your weapons must have some of this gunk in their filters, all you have to do to get rid of it is burn it in some ecto fire and all of it should burn away in a few minutes tops. You could try with normal fire, but I donât know how long that would take.â
âOk, thatâs all dandy and good, and thanks by the way, but. How can ectoplasm become corrupted in the first place?â asked the Red Huntress as she began to pull out all the weapons in her arsenal, which ended up amounting to a whopping total of 8 weapons, two of which were integrated into the hoverboard.
âOh thatâs easy, you know how ectoplasm is basically the same as the blood and meat of ghosts?â After a small gross out from Val, she affirmed that she was conscious of it as she began to scrub all the magazines of her weapons, the only part of it alongside the triggers and the hammers some might have in order to avoid doing some irreversible damage. âWell, just like a human, usually ectoplasm can remain healthy because it remains in a constant flow and recycles itself, so once it becomes stagnant it needs to be constantly filtered in order to avoid infections on it, unless they come from an outside source of course.â
âSo youâre telling me that the reason my weapons are giving off a stinky odor, and probably also became somewhat weaker since Iâm sure you ought to at least have a first degree burn from the shot I gave you earlier, was because my weapons were shooting infected blood?â If it wasnât because of her mask covering her face, Ellie mightâve been able to see how she was paling and began looking sick at the prospect of shooting that kind of stuff.
âYep, but thankfully all your weapons have pretty efficient filters, so you have almost no corrupted ectoplasm in them.â Answered Danielle while putting another gun down and taking the bazooka to take care of its filter. âIf it was a normal ghost then that small amount of corrupted ectoplasm wouldâve been filtered away and recycled into something less harmful, however since this is a weapon and doesnât have a system dedicated to recycling everything, itâs bound to catch some corrupted ectoplasm. Iâm actually surprised thereâs so little of it in all of your guns considering how long youâve been doing this.â
âI DO make an effort to take care of my weapons and equipment after all.â After the conversation the girls continued cleaning all the filters, until eventually both of them were done with the endeavor. âWell, Iâm a bit tired so Iâll head home. Wanna come so we can talk a bit more and you can tell me about your adventures around the globe?â
âSure thing.â And with that they both flew back to the Grayâs apartment, entering through the window in Valerieâs room and surprising her father Damon when doing so. The rest of the day was spent talking with each other.
