One year ago today, I started Prophetic Hijinks.

Or more accurately, I drew a single comic of Bruno getting a sweet little wave from a kind soul who didn’t know his baggage, and it snowballed from there.

I never would have guessed such a small comic, would balloon into a long running linear story arc, and darn near 100 comics!

I am thankful that I kept going and was able to share the worlds, stories and scenarios that reside inside my head. I always wanted to work in animation, and this project gave me a little taste of storytelling. As well as gave me the motivation to draw every day, and see myself improve dramatically. But, I have hit a satisfying fruition point. Covering the major story beats I wanted to tackle with the completion of the wedding comic.

That’s not to say that there won’t be more comics in the future, but definitely not at the same goal at one or two a week.

I am still in love with Encanto and in particular the fandom so full of many wonderful, funny and creative people, and their marvelous OC’s. I am so grateful to fans who stuck with my comic, and who love Elena so much they celebrate her happiness (and retribution &@$& Carlos) right along with her.

So thank you all so much and shoutout to all those who keep the Encanto fandom so vibrant and strong.

A FATHER'S LOVE - talk about your muse's relationship with their father

Tell me that these two aren't an absolute duo.

Luisa definitely resembles her father (colourwise, both phsyically but also with clothes.) She has his very mild temper and I'm SURE he was the person she went to if she had trouble with something.

I cannot shut up about Agustin. What a chad. He's modernly dressed, like he's from the city and thus stands out among the villagers.

And yet he still won Julieta's heart and they together overcame Alma's disapproval of the match. This proves that he's not only supportive, but also flexible and reliable. He wants his girls to be okay so he makes sure to do whatever he can to take the burden away. (complying to Alma's request for music to take the attention away from Mirabel, covering for Mirabel, going after Luisa after the ruined dinner, sticking up for Mirabel to Alma.)

He’s going after Luisa despite Alma being upset, despite Isabela being distraught. He’s gonna make sure Luisa is okay, first, and then he’s gonna make sure Isabela and Mirabel are okay, too.

Ok, the actual relationship between Luisa and her father is warm and flexible. They can joke around, bond over music, literature (I think Agustin was raised by college graduates/people who were very modern for their time) and he's got her back.

I headcanon that Luisa’s taste in men is incredibly stable and in M/F relationships she wants to be respected, and treated equally. Thanks, Gus! You’ve been a wonderful example on how to treat your ladies!

TL;DR: Luisa's a total daddy's girl and Agustin would cry as much as Luisa (or more) at her wedding in the future.

When I saw the first trailer of The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack way back in 2008, I was hooked IMMEDIATELYYY 🤯 the brainrot lasted for YEARS. I wasn’t necessarily IN the fandom back then bc I wasn’t posting art online, but I was definitely there in spirit lol
