Sk8 the Infinity Headcanons

No one’s name in Miya’s phone is their actual name: Reki is Dollar Store Ariel, Langa is Elsa’s Lost Snowman, Shadow is Mister Lonely, and of course Cherry and Joe are Mommy and Daddy

The kids get discounts at Joe’s restaurant since they’re there so much

Cherry helps Langa with his Japanese from time to time (Langa’s teachers have been noticing more and more improvement)

Cherry can’t figure out why everyone keeps calling him Pinkie Pie, if anything his hair is more reminiscent of Fluttershy’s

After finding out Joe studied in Italy, Reki began to ask him about it (How different is the time zone? Was anyone with you or did you travel alone? Are the cafés as good as they look online? Was there a bad language barrier? Did you go to an opera? Etc.) Joe plans to surprise Reki with a trip to Italy when he graduates.

It took Langa a month to remember everyone’s names. Reki was ‘the energetic one’, Shadow was ‘flower clown’, Miya was ‘Meowth from Pokémon’, Joe was ‘the guy who always forgets his shirt’, and Cherry was ‘the one with pink hair who keeps ditching his glasses’.

They’re often mistaken as a family whenever they hang out, mainly because the kids are often referred to as “the kids” (and a few times “our kids” when they lost said kids in the shopping center).

Some people at S have begun to speculate if Joe and Cherry had adopted Reki, Langa, and Miya when the kids first got to S. They view Reki as taking after Joe the most and Miya as taking after Cherry the most. Langa is viewed as somewhere in-between but is leaning slightly more towards taking after Cherry. (Both Joe and Cherry are well aware of the rumors but have said nothing, Miya knows and plays into it, Reki and Langa have been too focused on skating and each other to notice)

Idea and dialogue fully came from a bits of chat in discord about Reki making an ai board for Langa (which turns out that is canon in a way due to Sk8 Chill Out)

Pretty much the prompt became 'Okay, but what about Reki and Cherry in a build-off where Langa and Joe are their "champions" and race each other on the boards they make'

[FOUND] SK8/Renga fanfiction

This is a bit of a long shot, but my friend has been looking for a Renga fic, but they can't find it. They don't know the name of the fic or the author, but this is what they do know/remember:

-it was on AO3 but the link might've been found on twitter

-it was a one-shot

-it was probably under 10k words (as they don't usually read ones over 10k) but it might've been the exception

-it was written between 2021-2022

-it was a renga soulmate AU where they could see each other through mirrors

-the concept was that the mirror in their room in particular would reflect what the others corresponding mirror reflected, and they saw like snippets of each other's lives through it

-it covered their whole lives (like childhood)

-at some point Reki watches Langa through his dad's death

-at some point Reki watches Langa move out

If anyone happens to know what fic this is, or has a link/pdf of it, my friend would greatly appreciate it! (it's now been found!!)

Sk8 the Infinity - General Headcanons - Main 6 - 🥭

Reki and Langa have a shared tiktok and always are posting trendy dance videos. Additionally, every time a video gets over 1,000 or so likes, Reki thinks they're local celebrities. (Meanwhile Miya's account is verified with millions of followers)

Langa is definitely one of those people who ALWAYS carries a fan on them. Movie theaters, pews, stadiums, everywhere. If he doesn't have one, he's dramatically fanning himself with a brochure or magazine. (Or he steals Cherry's)

Shadow is the type to flip a coin, and if it lands on heads, he'll text his ex. If it lands on tails, he'll probably just flip it again.

(A bit canon) Miya would order the most extravagant meal when Joe is paying, just to not even touch it. Kind of a jerk teenager thing, but he only does it when Joe is paying.

Shadow and Cherry definitely do their hair together. I mean, come on. There's no way Cherry gets the perfect, luscious ponytail, and Shadow achieves the most elaborate hair style on their own. Not because they really need each others help, but their "hair routine" takes a very long time, so they have a little bit of "girl guy talk"

Langa is the type of guy to have perfectly clear skin, healthy silky hair, and soft skin, but do nothing that's deserving of that. He'd be glowing after washing his entire body with dish soap from 1953.

Shadow, and Joe are gymbros who embellish their workouts just to show each other up. They have an unspoken competition on who could eat most while "bulking", and who could fast the longest while "cutting".

Miya would try to go to the gym with them, but then be scolded by Cherry and Reki for "lifting too heavy", and claiming it would "stunt his growth". (He only lifted 22 kg / 50 lb)

Langa is the friend who forgets to eat regularly, Reki is the friend who never gets full. Let's just say it's a great friendship dynamic.

Miya is one of those "angsty" teenagers who wears sweaters during the summer. It's absolutely ridiculous, and drives Cherry absolutely insane. But during the winter, Miya wear sleeveless shirts, probably just to spite Cherry.
