BUSH 30th ANNIVERSARY OF “SIXTEEN STONE” VINYL
I remember when this album came out in 1994 . I was 15 and really discovering all types of music. As being a typical teenage boy I seen the band name “Bush” and thought hmm I love bush, let’s check it out. It was such an amazing album from beginning to end. The new released vinyl that just came out on November 17th is such a testament to this album being as great then as it is now. Listening…

Why did rock music lose the prominence in popularity after the 90's? Well, post-grunge has somehow been seen as one of the reasons rock stopped being taken seriously, yet I wouldn't be that certain. Some musicians there, such as Bush, did some fine work, but I get the criticism. While they took the edges of Nirvana and made them palatable, we mustn't forget the Kurt Cobain outfit did the same. Sure, Bush went further here, though they maintained their identity. They actually feel to me like a transition between Nirvana and Foo Fighters. Since they are, of course, closer to the former, they don't seem much use in the sounds of classic rock, but they attempt to bring the latter's ethos in the sonic landscapes of their idiom.

Let's Get Loud: My Favorite Songs, Ever.
Bush / Comedown / Sixteen Stone (1994)

Bush's 1994 debut album still stands the test of time for alternative rock records from the 90's. They set a bar so high that they couldn't quite recapture that success again. Saying that, this record is a singles juggernaut and Comedown never gets old with it's clever guitar riffs and pacing along with a prime breakdown before ending.
