hi! do you think the australian tour of six might become an asian tour later on?
The casting materials are discussing it as a tentative Australasian tour, so that's at least a possibility. Of course things can change and that may not be what winds up happening - the 2021-23 Tour was promoted as AU/NZ with potential Asian stops as well, but it only ever played Australia. But I do think it's likely that it happens this time around.
It's worth noting that most tours promoted as "Australasian" usually just do one or two Southeast Asian stops, most often in Singapore and/or Manila, rather than acting as a full Asian Tour with more stops. That's not to say a more comprehensive Asian Tour couldn't happen in the future, but for this specific tour I'd expect it would act more like recent Australasian tours with just the one or two Asian stops.

Animal of the Day!
Green Grocer Cicada (Cyclochila australasiae)
Tumblr media
(Photo in Public Domain)
Conservation Status- Unlisted
Habitat- Southeastern Australia
Size (Weight/Length)- 4 cm
Diet- Tree sap
Cool Facts- Called a green grocer when green in color and a yellow monday when yellow, these cicadas are one of the loudest insects in the world. They create a piercing buzz noise by flexing their timbal ribs along their carapace, their call reaching up to 120 decibels. After repeated exposure to a noise this loud, people can experience hearing loss. Of course, the green grocer uses its call to attract mates with louder calls being the most attractive. These cicadas live up to seven years with the majority of their lives spent underground as nymphs. Only their last six weeks of life are spent in their adult form.
Rating- 12/10 (Only 20 decibels quieter than a jet engine.)

How to Grow a Noni Tree
The process of cultivating a noni tree is not simply sowing a seed. It is a beautiful process of raising a tree that is one of patience, care, and the building of a relationship with something in the natural world. Being a tropical gem, this plant used for its healing capabilities can turn your garden into a place of wellness and elegance. The tree you cultivate will indeed provide you with a more profound understanding of the processes that govern life and the tranquility resulting from the need to care for something living.
Now, let’s learn how to grow a Noni Tree properly. But, before that, it’s best to first know about what is noni plant and what is noni fruit.
What is Noni Plant and Noni Fruit?
The noni plant (Morinda citrifolia) is a tropical tree indigenous to Southeast Asia and Australasia. Its fruit is known as noni fruit. It is yellow-green and has a strong odor. Noni fruit is well-known for its medical benefits, which include boosting the immune system, reducing inflammation, and improving skin health.
Conditions Required for the Healthy and Best Growth of Noni Trees
Selecting the Right Location
One has to choose the right place to plant the noni tree very wisely. Noni trees are best grown in tropical regions the optimum temperature for growth ranges between 60 and 90 degrees F (15-32 degrees C).
Tumblr media
This plant requires full sun exposure to offer it a chance to grow to its optimal best. Therefore, ensure you locate it in an area that receives at least six hours of direct sunlight. It is also preferred that the soil should be well drained but at the same time moist since noni trees grow in a slightly acidic to a neutral pH.
Planting the Noni Tree
Begin with a healthy noni seed or begin with a seedling. When planting seeds, it is recommended to soak them in warm water for anything between twelve to twenty-four hours to improve germination.
They can be propagated by seeds or by seedlings directly into a hole which should be dug twice the size of the root ball and space the plants 10-15 feet apart. Provide water to the newly planted tree adequately; it is recommended that the soil be kept moist but not soaked.
Nurturing Growth
Tumblr media
One aspect of care for noni plantation is watering, in case the climate is dry or when the soil seems dry. Sandy soil should be mulched at the base to help control evaporation of water and weed growth.
It is also advisable to use organic compost or any balanced fertilizer after 3-4 months for it to receive some nutrients. In addition to that, remove any of the branches that are dead or diseased since they can act as breeding grounds for pests.
Harvesting and Benefits
Your noni tree will take 18-24 months to bear fruits after which it will take 8-12 months to mature for harvesting. The noni fruits should be harvested while they are white and a bit squishy to the feeling. Noni fruits are known to have great health benefits.
Wrap-Up
Management of noni trees is not an easy task but it is always profitable to grow the plant. You cannot help but derive pleasure and satisfaction in the progression of this great tree and the fruit it bears. Accept the process and allow the garden to grow with the life force of a noni tree.
Everglades Farm, located in Florida, is a thriving farm. Their specialty is growing a diverse selection of tropical fruits and vegetables. Their commitment to sustainable ways ensures that the food is both fresh and beneficial to the environment.
They supply a diverse range of plant species. They provide high-quality noni trees for sale in Florida. Also, if you are looking for a premium Nance fruit tree and Yuzu tree for sale, then Everglades Farm is your best bet. Call us right now to place an order!

Pinots of the world tasting: 3rd March, 4pm
Is there anything that gives the vigneron more heartache and the drinker more pleasure than the almost mythical Pinot Noir? Notoriously difficult to grow and sometimes wildly misunderstood, this is a delicate thin-skinned variety with alluring spice and complexity when grown correctly, or a flabby mess in the wrong hands. Fret no more, however, as we go on a journey of discovery to six different corners of the world, everything from the alpine frozen north (Italy, so not quite the permafrost of Lapland...) through some pioneers from Australasia and the US, and finishing up in the heartland of Burgundy. This is definitely not a tasting to be missed.
Date and time: Sunday 3rd March, starting at 4pm Tickets: Available here Price: £25 per person Venue: Ten Green Bottles, 9 Jubilee Street, Brighton BN1 1GE

A family history database and Irish ancestry
Tumblr media
Medieval map of Ireland, showing Irish tribes, courtesy of an article in SOTT titled "DNA shows Irish people have more complex origins than previously thought"
A family history database is the topic that Pat Richley-Erickson touched on in a recent post, talking about how to use RootsMagic desktop software, "one of two desktop computer programs that can download to your computer everything from your Ancestry Member Tree including attached photos and documents," and even had a video explaining "how to download all data and attached images from an Ancestry Member Tree to a new RootsMagic database." Pat also writes that Ancestry won't get rid of your tree, you just can't "get to the database images you’ve attached to each ancestor until you reactivate your Ancestry account." It is also noted that for " free genealogy websites, a good place to begin is with a free account at FamilySearch.org," with 70% of the digital images not yet browsable or indexed, some of which "must be viewed at your local Family History Center, owing to stipulations by the church, courthouse, archive or library that holds the original documents."
That brings us to a host of other articles. There are some about old Irish phrases, a new Cambridge History of Ireland, zebra mussels arriving in Ireland, and the effect of the Potato Famine in Ireland. One article noted that
The Irish, those born in Ireland and those who claim Irish descent, are to be found in history as well as the present on every continent, from Europe to Asia, from the Americas to Australasia.
That is true of the Mills family, which has ancestors from Ireland who settled in the U.S.!
This post was originally published on WordPress in June 2018.
Most interesting was the story of Bridget O’Donnel, a "poor famine victim from County Clare whose harrowing story appeared in The Illustrated London News on December 22, 1849." Irish Central quoted the interview in which she told this story:
“I lived,” she said, “on the lands of Gurranenatuoha. My husband held four acres and a half of land, and three acres of bog land; our yearly rent was £7 4s.; we were put out last November; he owed some rent. We got thirty stone of oats from Mr. Marcus Keane, for seed. My husband gave some writing for it: he was paid for it. He paid ten shillings for reaping the corn. As soon as it was stacked, one ‘Blake’ on the farm, who was put to watch it, took it away to his own haggard and kept it there for a fortnight by Dan Sheedey’s orders. They then thrashed it in Frank Lellis’s barn. I was at this time lying in fever. Dan Sheedey and five or six men came to tumble my house; they wanted me to give possession. I said that I would not; I had fever, and was within two months of my down-lying (confinement); they commenced knocking down the house, and had half of it knocked down when two neighbours, women, Nell Spellesley and Kate How, carried me out. I had the priest and doctor to attend me shortly after. Father Meehan anointed me. I was carried into a cabin, and lay there for eight days, when I had the creature (the child) born dead. I lay for three weeks after that. The whole of my family got the fever, and one boy thirteen years old died with want and with hunger while we were lying sick. Dan Sheedey and Blake took the corn into Kilrush, and sold it. I don’t know what they got for it. I had not a bit for my children to eat when they took it from me.”
Sadly, for our purposes, John Mills came before the famine, so all the resources about the famine don't particularly apply to the Mills family. Perhaps sites like IrelandXO can help there, but not the recent Cambridge edition, as it covers a period far too early.
That's all for today. For next time!

do you think the manila production will get the south korean set or the uk tour set?
Hey! It's unlikely that the Manila performances will be their own production. I talked more about this here, but it's most likely a tour stop on either the UK and International Tour or the Australian/Australasian Tour. If it's the Australasian Tour, I'd expect them to use the same set they use for all other stops. If it's the UK/International Tour, they may use their regular UK/touring set (which I talked more about here). But this is also one of the rare occasions where they actually might switch and use a different set for just one touring stop - in this case, they may decide to use the former South Korean set just because of the logistics of lugging the UK set that far around the world.

Anthems August Newsletter
Tēnā koutou e te whānau and welcome to Anthem’s monthly update!
Following a month filled with many celebrations and successes for our clients and the team, we are all looking forward to putting away the winter coats and welcoming the warmer weather and longer days this spring.
We are very proud to be named a finalist in PRovoke Media’s 2023 Australasia PR Consultancies of the Year Award.
This month the team supported the Aged Care Association with its latest campaign ‘The Domino Effect’, and we hope that together with Chemistry our work can make a difference to improve the aged care sector crisis.
We had an energetic response to the refreshed V Green, continuing our work with Frucor Suntory to bring the lifted flavour to superfans across the country.
Anthem supported Batik Air as they touched down in Auckland, launching a new service flying between Auckland and Perth on the Boeing 737 MAX 8.
The team worked with our friends at New Zealand Story to shine a spotlight on Kono NZ, the world’s first Māori-owned wine business and a proud member of the FernMark Licence Programme.
Rounding out with Anthem life, this month we enjoyed an evening with a handful of our agile team members, a lunch out to celebrate two of our teams going above and beyond for Anthem’s clients, and welcomed our furry friends into the office for international dog day!
Aroha nui. Best wishes from the Anthem team
ANTHEM ANNOUNCED AS A FINALIST IN 2023 PROVOKE MEDIA AWARDS
Tumblr media
The Anthem team is over the moon to have been announced a finalist in PRovoke Media’s 2023 Australasia PR Consultancies of the Year Award. We are grateful to be the only solely New Zealand independent agency shortlisted in this category, and to stand alongside a stellar line up of trans-Tasman and Australian consultancies. Thank you to our talented team for their excellence and dedication, and to our clients for your trust and inspiring work which has allowed us to get here. The winners will be announced in late September, so fingers crossed!
THE DOMINO EFFECT OF UNDERFUNDING THE AGED CARE SECTOR
Tumblr media
This year Anthem has been supporting the New Zealand Aged Care Association with the launch of its new campaign ‘The Domino Effect’ which aims to raise awareness of the dire situation facing our aged care sector. The campaign, which we developed in partnership with creative agency Chemistry, shows aged care beds falling like dominoes to emphasise how the crisis affects every-day Kiwis - from families stepping in and providing care for their older parents, to the ongoing impact on our health workers who bear the brunt of the overwhelmed and underfunded system. The Aged Care Association is hoping ‘The Domino Effect’ will entice action to provide a sustainable funding model to ensure quality aged care can be provided for those that need it now, and in the future. As part of this work, Anthem Executive Director Sarah Geel spoke to the 500 delegates at the 2023 New Zealand Aged Care Association conference about the important role the sector has in championing the message to spread the Domino Effect.
BATIK AIR TOUCHES DOWN IN AUCKLAND
Tumblr media
We had our heads in the clouds this month helping to welcome a new player into the New Zealand aviation market, with the launch of Batik Air’s Auckland to Perth service.   The Malaysian airline is part of Indonesia’s Lion Air Group and operates the route six times a week, with further onward connections to Kuala Lumpur using a Boeing 737 MAX 8.   Interestingly, around 85,000 Kiwis live in Western Australia, and travel between Auckland and Perth is back to about 96% of pre-pandemic levels, higher than the overall return to international travel (77%).   The launch attracted lots of interest, including from Stuff and NZ Herald
V GREEN GETS A TASTELIFT
Tumblr media
Building on last month’s launch of Frucor Suntory’s refreshed V Green, we engaged a number of influencers and fans to spread the word on the smoother V Green, Kiwi’s favourite energy drink, following its flavour tastelift. Our team worked hard to make sure more fans were able to get their hands on the drink by delivering random drops to superfans.
THE FERNMARK LICENSEE LIVING BY A 500-YEAR PLAN
Tumblr media
Every month, Anthem works with New Zealand Story to spotlight a business involved with its FernMark Licence Programme.   We recently enjoyed speaking with Dan Taylor from Kono NZ, the world’s first Māori-owned wine business. Taylor discussed how Kono NZ is led by a 500-year intergenerational plan called Te Pae Tawhiti, which instils a unique focus on preserving and enhancing the taonga of the regions in which it operates.   Kono NZ is proud to carry the FernMark because it instils confidence in the global market about the quality of its products, and bolsters the traceability and authenticity of its Kono and Tohu wines.   Visit the New Zealand Story website to discover more about the FernMark Programme and Licensees and learn more about the mana behind Kono NZ.
ANTHEM LIFE
Meet our Agile Team
Tumblr media
We operate an agile team model at Anthem which means we enjoy working with a diverse range of specialists and communications professionals, who bring their individual skills and knowledge together to achieve specific, critical business outcomes for our clients. However, we don’t always get the chance to meet face-to-face.   Last week we welcomed a handful of members from our wider team to the office, to learn more about their varied careers and life experiences. To Sir Bob Harvey, Paul Hewlett, David Thomason, Louise Nicholson, and Georgina Bond, we loved having you here and hearing about your careers and past lives! To all our agile team, a huge thank you for bringing your specialist skills, industry expertise, diligence and enthusiasm to our table.
Celebrating International Dog Day 🐕
Tumblr media
Last but certainly not least, the Anthem team was sure to celebrate International Dog Day as a very important day in the month of August. We welcomed three furry friends, Rosie, Billie Waka and Kahu into the office, providing doggie donut treats for the dogs and dog-themed cookies for the team too of course! That's our wrap for the month!

'Shout to the Top' by the The Style Council was composed by lead singer Paul Weller, and was released in 1984 on the 'Vision Quest' soundtrack. In a quest for new sounds, the group travelled to realms previously unchartered for a pop group incorporating musical influences as wide ranging as Blue Note jazz and Chicago soul, Claude Debussy and Erik Satie, Chicago House and Jacques Brel.Īt the same time, as battle lines were drawn in a decade under Margaret Thatcher culminating in the miner’s strike of 1984-85, Weller’s lyrics spoke with the language of the activist and his state of the nation addresses were both fierce and eloquent. As their leader he had become a deity-like figure and for his fans, The Jam’s split was unimaginable.īut creatively restless and of inquisitive mind, Weller jettisoned them at their height to form a collective with an eventual core line-up of Weller with Mick Talbot, Dee C Lee and Steve White.
