Not-So-Heavy Metal

While avoiding intermittent rain showers, we spent the past week fastening our metal siding to our ZIP-covered walls. To install the burgundy panels, we placed drip edges and j-channels around the edge of each wall and opening. Then, we screwed each wall panel into their j-channel frame, making sure to precisely cover our intra-wall sensors.

We also installed the final two roof panels, so our exterior metal--apart from a little touch up paint--is complete!

During the rain, we worked back in Red Barn, reliving our long days in the computer lab. We’ve been designing our porch entry sequence and organizing our final days on site. We have just a few short weeks left in our schedule until move-in day!

kind of obsessed with steve stealing the jeromeasf head during the office move out. jerome has a basement full of random computer parts, of course steve took the head

the Easter compilation video is such a good study in how Jerome's recording group has changed over the years and how his approaches to content have changed. i would like to talk to whoever decided to put them out of order chronologically like this but that's another problem

this year is his current style, with what i'd say is pretty subtle editing and team blue being the mods.

the next video is with matt and saber notably and is kind of nauseating with the amount of jump cuts at the beginning but pretty chill otherwise

then its a pretty highly edited video with really over-the-top energy, but the same group as this year. shoutout to cappy being vale

next is a real tell. its a super low quality with ben, austin, dasha, and andrew. the webcam? good lord. the audio? awful. but its so quintessential nice posture. it was even livestreamed when they were doing 3 livestreams a day

then we jump to another more recent video, somewhat edited but whatever

then we get to last years, which is, yknow, whatever. im running out of things to say about these last few.

im pretty sure it goes 4, 3, 2, 5, 6, 1 for chronological order without checking, but i think its a really interesting choice to put all these videos together like this and it really shows how things have changed the last few years. also the jump from nice posture streams in 2018 to buddies video in 2019 is crazy. in my head this was always a nice posture game but in reality its way more of a buddies game. also the fact the buddies have been around basically longer than nice posture at this point has me feeling old but we're not here to talk about that. anyway live laugh love hope you enjoyed my rambling little post

i'd been hearing about it vaguely in the fan discord for a few weeks but for those who didn't seen the specific stream and aren't as online as me, on his january 2nd stream at the very end jerome says:

"You probably noticed Monkey and Stead weren't around today. They're not gonna be around as often, they might come around from time to time, but in the new year we kind of decided to take things in a different direction, and so they're not going to be around all the time."

their names have also been removed from the "friends" section in video descriptions. stead is streaming on his own channel now w/ a variety of the mods, while monkey's channel is quiet

general speculation is that they got laid off or, in Monkey's case, he's leaving to focus on school but much like situations past we probably won't know for sure, and at the end of the day it isn't really our business. wishing them all the best in their future pursuits and go subscribe to stead <3

hello there! if you’re reading this you’ve stumbled upon a niche corner of the MCYT fandom, centered around Minecraft legend JeromeASF.

anything and everything Jerome related from 2016 onwards can be found here; i don’t deal in Team Crafted at all, and i’m not nearly as familiar with The Pack as i am Nice Posture and The Buddies.

i’ve been a fan of Jerome since late 2016, and i’ve never looked back. if you want to know my history in this fandom: no you don’t. i was 14 and embarrassing.

honestly, i’m not sure what exactly will end up on this blog. if anyone has any questions i’d love to ramble about anything. i have a lot of knowledge in my brain and no one to talk to about it!! informational posts will probably end up on here!

idk we’ll see. i’m just here to represent a corner of the JeromeASF fandom that doesn’t seem to exist on here. i am determined to make it exist if it’s the last thing i do

The Buddies: Members

JeromeASF - This one is a given. Jerome’s the head of The Buddies, if you want to call it that.

Sitemusic - Steve’s got a pretty long history with Jerome. He’s been around for at least 5 or so years, probably more. He started creating content in early 2019, and has covered a lot of similar games as Jerome. Currently, he does a lot of GTA V, with other games such as Bloons TD 6 and Minecraft mixed in.

Drospy - Dropsy’s also been working for Jerome for a long time, starting off as staff on his Minecraft servers to becoming a regular presence on camera. She doesn’t really create content separately from Jerome, but she’s both streamed and created videos in the past.

SteadFastGames - Honestly Stead is kind of an egnima to me. He just sort of appeared one day I think? I can retain like no information about this man. He’s been creating content since late 2019, and currently streams and puts out videos pretty regularly. He puts out GTA V videos and streams a variety of things, including GTA V and Minecraft.

Captain Blast’em - Cappy started working with Jerome as a builder, and has been creating content for at least 8 years. He both streams and created videos on a large variety of games, including Town of Salem, Silme Rancher, Minecraft, Pokemon, and more.

Monkey1n2 - Monkey’s the newest member of the team, and the youngest, being in his late teens. He’s streamed a couple of times and is very tall.

Honorary mentions include Bladehell, who develops a lot of the behind-the-scenes work, Rayne the editor, Luke the intern, and more.

Last Week(s) With The Buddies

I make one post and then immediately fall off. Fantastic job I'm doing, really. I got sick and then started my new semester so I fell off of doing this, but it's the middle of the week and I have free time, so y'all get this.

In big news, Jerome launched a new server, Underblock! From what I've seen, it's another Sky Island type server, but the basis is you have a lucky block you can break on your island and that starts your island.

Jerome also released a video joining Camp Minecraft! Jerome took part in a previous season, and it looks like he's back for another round.

Jerome also played a horror game on stream this week, after a donation goal was met and FNAF 4 was chosen. There were a ton of spooks and the next donation goal was met for another game in the future.

The Crazycraft series has been going strong! The sheer amount of streaming that has been done on this server by everyone is difficult at best to keep up with, but it's going strong for sure.

GTA experienced a pretty major issue where playing the game in basically any capacity made you vulnerable to modders, which seems to have been patched to some extent. Either way, there hasn't been as much GTA content recently.

Monkey made his own discord server, The Treehouse, which he just posted the link to today.

Cappy's been keeping up with the daily streams, and Stead's almost daily as well, if not daily.

It's been a few weeks so I probably am forgetting some things, but this is what I can remember off the top of my head (and some quick scrolling through channels).

I'll try to post the next one of these next Sunday, but no promises. I hope everyone has a good rest of their week (and go vote in my poll!)

Last Week With The Buddies

Hi everyone! This is going to be a sort of weekly post I'll try and make recapping what sorts of things Jerome and The Buddies have been up to.

The biggest happening this week was the start of a new Crazycraft series, something we haven't seen since 2020 in video form. This ties into the other big news - Jerome has started daily streams again! This is also a format we haven't seen in a while, in at least 3 years.

This format is M/W/F streams on ASF, and T/TH streams on ACE.

All of The Buddies (Drospy, Monkey, Stead, Steve, and Cappy) have all been streaming the server, with varying amounts of content. Drospy's only streamed the server once (on DropsyASF, which I ironically claimed was inactive in a previous post only a few days before this), but all of the others have streamed at least twice, with Cappy, Stead, and Steve being the most consistent streamers on it.

Cappy and Stead are also aspiring to do daily streams, and have been colaborating a lot, mostly through CrazyCraft and testing GTA maps for Jerome.

Jerome's also started another series on ACE for the game Grounded, a game he played while it was still in development. However, the game has since fully released and Jerome seems to plan to make a full series on it.
