Running from 9/22/2024 to 9/30/2024 is my Spooktober Event!

A Halloween Party!

Which if you've been on the lookout, you'll have been given a spoiler for very recently!

It’ll be a lot like my Shake Date Event, actually.

Here’s how it’s going to work!

You, or if I’ve done it for you before, an OC, are going to a Halloween party! And you’ve been given a ride with a character (or two!). Maybe you dressed up, or maybe they did, but you find that there’s a candy bucket (or something close) waiting for you in the car. A little treat for coming out with them—how sweet!

This means I will only write your OC if I have done so before!

(Those of you who have already sent in an ask with new OCs, I'll get to you if I haven't already. New OC asks from this point on will be deleted. Handling someone's baby for the first time in a mass event is stressful).

You are to send me an ask in my ask box who was dressed up (they’ll be the ‘monster’ they’re dressed as), what candy bucket you’ve got, and what was in it! As for personal descriptions, you’re to tell me what you want me to know! I don’t know what you look like, after all. So let me know if you prefer a particular style of dress, your basic details, and something you want to have attention drawn to. Whether that’s your serious personality, or freckles! This is easier for OCs, as I’ll already have a frame of reference.

When doing the candy, feel free to have it be ‘given’ to someone specific if you want them to have that in particular. It’s nice to share, after all!

It doesn’t have to be super detailed if you prefer to be straight forward to keep it within the word count. And it could also be very detailed if you’d like to play with it a little! As long as it’s clear, I don’t mind at all!

In relation to characters dramatically taller than what is realistic, I may tweak their height to something less… daunting without having to be asked. So, someone like Katakuri from One Piece may not be 16+ feet in a normal, ‘mostly human’ setting.

oh i believe in a lot of mythical creatures!!! the fair folk, for one. the ocean is still a vast, unknown to man (as it should remain, i think) so i especially believe in mermaids and sirens and great sea serpents.

recently, i was watching unsolved mysteries with one of my aunts. we watched an episode that covered these two Navajo rangers that handled paranormal activity and supernatural cases, and one of them had to do with Bigfoot. this family had someone that kept trying to get into their home, and i think it was when they set up a security cam or something that they realized it was a juvenile Bigfoot. that’s how they described it, a “juvenile” Bigfoot and it was the first time i realized there’s more than one Bigfoot??? and they like breed together and have smaller Bigfoots that grow up into full sized Bigfoots??? when i was a kid, Bigfoot was sort of like the boogeyman so i never conceptualized him further than One Overarching Bigfoot, you know, which is to say: even the cryptids i’m not well informed about, i believe in, because i’ve seen some weird stuff myself, and you never know what’s out there!

Fantasy AU Ideas

Nothing is concrete, this is just me spitballing.

•First and foremost, it is COMPLETELY normal in society

•Different culture based around different species

•Hybrids are most likely Human & Fae/Nymph, the most promiscuous of creatures, though Elves are a close second

•Purebreed humans are the minority

•The only creatures that can procreate w/ humans have fully human-esque features

>For creatures like Mermaids and Centaurs, it’s biologically impossible to procreate with humanoids

•Animalistic creatures (ie Dragons, Basilisk, Griffins, etc) can breed with ‘naturally occurring’ (non-mythical) creatures

•It’s illegal to own pure-breed creatures, especially dragons

> Those who do own them probably run an illegal fighting ring

•Younglings of all ethnicity are taught commontongue (aka tradespeak) from a young age

•Special retreats for creatures affected by cycles (ie werewolves & full moon)

•Certain jobs have become niche occupations

>Mermaids and Naiads run underwater farms to prevent overfishing/destruction of aquatic habitats

•Certain rules are set for tricksters to prevent them from forcing others into contracts/situations against their wills (mostly Fae & Sphinx)

•Traditionally evil creatures (ie Banshee, Boogeyman, Sirens, etc) have handlers as younglings to help curb negative impulses and keep them from getting in trouble

>The best time to get a handler is as a small youngling- then the behaviors considered ‘acceptable’ are more easily implemented and it’s easier to get rid of negative actions

•For some reason Elves have a strange obsession with Orc/ Ogre species, so there’s a lot of hybrids running around that are insanely tall and strong with slightly violent tendencies and ethereal beauty and intelligence
