Linebeck being the 'cowardly' man whos brave for those hes loves, an old man who was once driven by treasure and greed finding a new drive with a sword in his hand in order to protect the ones who protected him. Sir Raven being the hero of the people, fighting to keep the people he loved safe and free, going so far as to put himself in danger to keep the innocent away. Yet being a man who can easily deceive others, he holds a great power in his hand that if used wrong could shift the power balance forever.

A man who held selfishness in his hands pushing it aside to hold out his hand in selflessness and a man who grips a sword with a pure heart that could easily cut down everyone around him if his heart grew cold.

A cold heart turned warm, and a warm heart that keeps the cold up as a way to protect himself and others.

Oh yeah i totally get Not fully getting behind the idea and honestly, i love having people with no connection to the hero before cause it feels like theres always some sort of connection, ya know?

But to advocate it with it a little, it would be believed that because of the war that happened in Hyrule before the time of OOT, the two were separated young. Time was only a baby, and his mom brought him to the korkiri, so it’s likely that raven was similar age or a little older and was with his father or other family. So its not like they were buddy buddy, but just brothers who either didn’t know about eachother or forgot about it.

Also why raven wouldn’t be in the oot manga, the deku tree only met Link’s mom when she was dying and only had Link with her. So its not like she was able to give her whole backstory to this wack ass tree guy /lh /j
