*Sinus Headaches – What Do You Know about them? Livefit4ever
*Sinus headaches, often triggered by sinus infections or allergies, cause discomfort and pressure in the face. These headaches stem from sinus inflammation, leading to throbbing pain around the eyes and forehead. Understanding their symptoms, triggers, and effective remedies is vital for managing this condition. Proper hydration, steam inhalation, and over-the-counter treatments can help alleviate symptoms. So, two busy days Tuesday and Wednesday, including turning up for psychotherapy and it wasn't on due to my therapist being off for annual leave.😂 I forgot! My PIP Re-assessment was this morning which if I lose this benefit I lose my car, my independence, the ability to go out with wheelchair more places, bus pass also goes, blue badge also goes, basically everything. And no matter how much truth I told the medical professional today, I'm still scared shitless they'll think I'm lying. I got home about 3pm and immediately had to go to bed, flooded with a huge wave of Post Exertion Malaise, Fatigue and pain. I only wanted a couple hours sleep, but needed four in the end missing out on seeing the BF this evening. And now despite how tired I still am, I cannot sleep because it's hot, I'm in pain, and seriously uncomfortable, I can't cope with the CPAP on my face as my sinuses are swollen due to hayfever. Tomorrow I am aiming to go see Kurt, but I may not be very well still. My throat is very sore and hard to swallow. The ironic thing I couldn't even stay awake earlier if I wanted to, I would have just passed out whereever I was. My body won! And now it wins again. Alongside stress and the anxiety that my life could change very quickly soon. Yay! 😭 Joys of chronic illness eh am I right? #ehlersdanlossyndrome #chronicpain #ChronicFatigue #invisibleillnessawareness #hEDS #Disabled #Fatigue #PostExertionMalaise #Pain #everythinghurts #insomnia #cantsleep #Sinuspain #puffyface #uncomfortable #ThePrincessAndThePea #ehlersdanlostype3 #EDS #Fibromyalgia #ChronicPainSyndrome #menieresdisease #Anxiety #BorderlinePersonalityDisorder #Depression #MentalHealth #DPAC #DisabledPeople #Fears #Musclepain #neuralgia #Nope #lyingawake

❤️ This lovely lady had some body and facial acupuncture for a severe sinus infection that hasn’t been cleared even after 4 courses of antibiotics. 🙌 We worked on clearing her sinus, reducing the internal facial swelling and helping her breathe more easily. Which is extremely difficult when any airways is blocked. Delighted she sent me an after picture. This happy client is heading out tonight! ❤️ #acupunctureworks #facialacupuncture #sinuspain #reduceinflammation #belfast #derry #lovemyclients (at Northern Ireland) https://www.instagram.com/theacupuncturistni/p/BuzPzZmhh2q/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=10bte1g07h4pe

How to deal with congestion/Advice from Katka's pharmacy
Tumblr media
It is me again, I am person with lots of experiences from pharmacy, who is trying to put all important informations and advices for everyone together, hoping this will help somebody to deal with their health issues.
My today's topic is congestion. This annoying, very irritating and sometimes painful thing, which I am sure every one of us experienced all ready.
When you are congested your mucus membrane in your sinuses is swollen and your sinuses might be full of mucus too. You are experiencing problems with breathing through your nose, sometimes pain under eyes, on forehead or insite your ears.
The most known remedies for treating congestions are decongestants, local (nasal sprays) or tablets. People like using them, but very often, almost every time, they are not aware of all the risks and contraindications.
Simply said, decongestants are doing their job, by changing a pressure in your mucus membrane inside the sinuses, which will eventually help with swelling, with the final result : easier breathing. Because they are affecting a pressure in your body, they are not recommended to a people, with high blood pressure or people suffering with some heart conditions.
You might have heart about addiction to nasal decongestant sprays, it is called “rebound congestion”. These sprays are fine, when they are used safely and not for a long time. When somebody will continue using them for usually longer than 7 days, they will find themself in circle, where they will have to use them all the time, because without them, they won't be able to breath through their nose, but this congestion will be caused by using them. Which sounds pretty depressing. Using them long term can also affect your sense of smell and blood pressure and this are the reasons, why are they not recommended to be used for longer than seven days. Tablet form of decongestants shouldn’t be used longer than 4 days (again affecting blood pressure). They are helpful and they can make our lives easier, but in my opinion, it is better to avoid them, if possible..
There are some other products, which you can use instead, which are more gentle and natural, but they are a little bit more difficult to use, but I think it is worth it.
First of all I want to talk about sea water in spray form. I love using it and recommending it, because it is completely natural, no additives, just pure sea water. There are two basic types of sea water in spray available in shops: hypertonic and isotonic s.w. What is a different?
Isotonic is just a plane sea water, which is great for nasal hygiene, for moisturising and flushing your sinuses, which are full of mucus, dirt, dust or pollen.
Hypertonic sea water, does contain a higher concentration of salt, which can help with swollen sinuses, great for unblocking your nose. You can use this one instead of decongestant nasal sprays. It doesn’t work as fast as the chemical ones and effect doesn’t last as long, but when you want to take natural way, this is a great product to choose. When you are one of the people already addicted to decongestant nasal spray or you do know somebody who is, hypertonic sea water is the right product for them. It can help them to slowly get rid of others product and get their bodies back to normal. It is not easy journey, but it is possible. I have seen it happened, many times :) These types of nasal sprays don’t have any contraindications, and they are safe to use in combination with any medication, safe to use during the pregnancy and breastfeeding and isotonic is suitable for babies too. You might find special sea water spray targeted for little babies and toddlers, there are the same products as the ones for adults (isotonic), the only one difference is a nozzle, which it’s little bit more gentle for little noses :)
Steam inhalation is another perfect trick, how to get rid of congestion. You have plenty of options, what to use, you need hot water, which is essential :) and then you can pick an additive, like some essential oils  (eucalyptus, menthol, lavender, chamomile, pine), Olbas oil, Vaporub, dried chamomile or lavender flowers, sea salt. Very effective is using steam inhalation at least 2 times a day, which will help you to dilute the mucus in your sinuses and relieve the pressure and pain. Another great thing is to use sea water spray, straight away, after steaming, to flush your sinuses, this will help to move mucus and in perfect scenario, you will be able to get it out :), sounds disgusting, but when you are poorly, this can be very relieving.
When you are having troubles to sleep, because your blocked nose, try to use essential oils. Grab some Olbas oil, eucalyptus or menthol oil and put few drops on your pillow, or in winter on wet towel, placed on radiator. Very easy and effective trick :) which can sometimes work with snoring problems too.
Very important as always, to drink plenty of fluids and have a rest, which can help your body significantly. If you want to know, what to do for boosting your immunity system, I have you covered, you can check out my advices of how to use natural and herbal products for supporting your immunity system, which is available on my blog.
You can expect some more “health” blogs coming soon :)

Not having the best day today. Any and all prayers appreciated. I just left the ER. Ever since COVID, sinus surgery and allergy shots, I have still struggled with sinus issues. My left maxillary sinus cavity has been giving me lots of problems off and on. It was where I had staph last month, it was the most impacted when I had the surgery and it just hasn't been as improved as I hoped. It started bothering me Monday and by last night I could barely watch tv, sleep or talk. I still taught my classes this morning but after talking for an hour straight the pain became excruciating. Throbbing, shooting, burning hot pain, like the inside of my cheek was on fire. Yesterday I had a regularly scheduled dentist appointment and they had taken x-rays. The X-ray showed that my sinus cavity was full of fluid and it was putting pressure on the trigeminal nerve that runs down my face. I'm taking the X-ray to my ENT appointment that I already had scheduled for tomorrow. Hopefully I will be able to get some answers. I'm hoping it is just my sinuses and an infection and nothing worse. Part of me is hoping that he doesn't tell me I need to have another sinus surgery, although if that's what it is going to take in order to fix this problem I will definitely do so. I don't understand why stuff like this keeps happening to me. I don't understand why when I get one problem fixed another one pops up, or I just keep getting the same problems over and over again. I'm not old, but my body treats me like I am. It's very hard to stay positive when you live with chronic illness or pain, especially when there's not an explanation for it. But that's what I'm trying to do. That will only be possible by the grace of God. I have been spending more and more time with him, leaning on him, and asking for strength. I hope and pray that I can keep up my faith, and my attitude. Praise the Lord that each day is a new day and that God is merciful. . . . #healthissues #chronicillness #sinusinfection #sinuspain #faith #faithful #godisincontrol #godsgrace #prayersforhealing (at Wichita, Kansas) https://www.instagram.com/p/CPGxjvaLU0_/?utm_medium=tumblr

How I Relieve Sinus Pressure and Pain
Sinus pressure and pain is sometimes the bane of my existence. Truly. It’s not like I can just take the day off and sleep or stand in a steam-filled shower. I can’t dope myself up on drugs to take away the symptoms. Heck no, I’m a parent. Even on the days I don’t have my kids I’m not able to kick my feet up and eat a pint of Ben & Jerry’s. Nope, all those books and articles and posts aren’t going…

My head is still throbbing took a little nap but I didn't want to take a long one then I wouldn't be able to sleep tonight but I really think with the sinus pill my son gave me and the nap it really helped me I think I was kind of sleep deprived I'm always awake early even when I have days off. Up early with sunrise I guess when you have worked as long as I have your body just doesn't want it any other way. I don't mind working hard and not wasting my day but sometimes a little down time is all we really need to feel back to your self again. #feelingbetter #sinuspain #thankyoujesuschrist🙏 (at ♥Perez Casa♥)
