Boeing 727-21, serial number 19260, VP-BAP on departure out of SXM. The Boeing 727 is an American narrow-body airliner that was developed and produced by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. After the heavy 707 quad-jet was introduced in 1958, Boeing addressed the demand for shorter flight lengths from smaller airports. On December 5, 1960, the 727 was launched with 40 orders each from United Airlines and Eastern Air Lines. Early morning arrival of this Bombardier Global Express 7500, HB-JIT. The Bombardier Global 7500 and Global 8000 are ultra long-range business jets developed by Bombardier Aviation (formerly Bombardier Aerospace). Announced in October 2010, the program was delayed by two years by a wing redesign. The 7500, originally named the 7000, made its first flight on November 4, 2016, was type certified by Transport Canada on September 28, 2018, and entered service on 20 December 2018. Based on the Global 6000 with a new transonic wing, and a cabin with 4 areas or "zones". The 7500 has a range of 7,700 nmi (14,300 km). The Global 8000 was initially a shorter three-zone aircraft, but was updated in May 2022 as a longer-range 7500, reaching 8,000 nmi (14,800 km) and to be introduced in 2025. Many moons have gone by since I’ve seen one of these Delta Air Lines, Boeing 767-300ER, N394DL in this area. The last time I’ve seen Delta’s Boeing 767 was a few years back on a rescue mission for some stranded cruise passengers. The Boeing 767 is an American wide-body aircraft developed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. The aircraft was launched as the 7X7 program on July 14, 1978, the prototype first flew on September 26, 1981, and it was certified on July 30, 1982. The original 767-200 entered service on September 8, 1982, with United Airlines, and the extended-range 767-200ER in 1984. The Convair C-131 Samaritan is an American twin-engined military transport produced from 1954 to 1956 by Convair. It is the military version of the Convair CV-240 family of airliners. The design began life in a production requirement by American Airlines for a pressurized airliner to replace the Douglas DC-3. Convair's original design had two engines and 40 seats, and thus it was designated the CV-240. The Airbus A319 is a member of the Airbus A320 family of short- to medium-range, narrow-body, commercial passenger twin-engine jet airliners manufactured by Airbus. The A319 carries 124 to 156 passengers and has a maximum range of 3,700 nmi (6,900 km; 4,300 mi). Final assembly of the aircraft takes place in Hamburg, Germany and Tianjin, China. The A319 is a shortened-fuselage variant of the Airbus A320 and entered service in April 1996 with Swissair, around two years after the stretched Airbus A321 and eight years after the original A320. The Embraer ERJ family (for Embraer Regional Jet, model names EMB-135, EMB-140 and EMB-145) are regional jets designed and produced by the Brazilian aerospace company Embraer. The Legacy 600 (market designation adopted after 2005) is based on the ERJ-135 model. It was launched in 2000 at the Farnborough Airshow as the "Legacy 2000". Gulfstream Aerospace Corp G600 | GVII | GA6C, N8ST. The G500 is, together with the G600, the successor to the Gulfstream V. In the summer of 2018, the device received its type certificate in America. The G500 is part of the G400/G500/G600 model range, the smaller G400 is still under development (delivery planned from 2025) and the larger G600 has been in production since 2018. The difference between the models is mainly in the length of the fuselage, type of engines, fuel stock and thus the flight range. The Gulfstream G400, G500, and G600 (GVII) are twin-engine business jets designed and manufactured by Gulfstream Aerospace. The two larger models were unveiled on October 14, 2014 and the smaller G400 was unveiled on October 4, 2021. The Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300 is a single-pilot-certified light business jet developed by the Brazilian aerospace manufacturer Embraer. It can carry up to 11 occupants. Embraer began designing the Phenom 300 after finding that potential customers of the Phenom 100 would also like a bigger aircraft. Emirates Airbus A380-842, A6-EVH. The Airbus A380 is a large wide-body airliner that was developed and produced by Airbus. It is the world's largest passenger airliner and only full-length double-deck jet airliner. Airbus studies started in 1988, and the project was announced in 1990 to challenge the dominance of the Boeing 747 in the long-haul market. The then-designated A3XX project was presented in 1994; Airbus launched the €9.5 billion ($10.7 billion) A380 program on 19 December 2000. The first prototype was unveiled in Toulouse on 18 January 2005, with its first flight on 27 April 2005. It then obtained its type certificate from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on 12 December 2006. Due to difficulties with the electrical wiring, the initial production was delayed by two years and the development costs almost doubled.
