Global Express XRS, C-FLMK. The Global XRS was the third of 4 business jet aircraft models built by Bombardier to compete in the new ultra-long range large-cabin market. The Global XRS filled the top-end of the Bombardier product line. Announced in 2003, the Express XRS is a direct development of the Global Express aircraft. The Bombardier Global Express XRS offers higher cruise speed, increased range, and improved cabin layout and lighting than its predecessor. The increased range of 6,503 nm is achieved by the addition of a 1,486 pound fuel tank at the wing root. It is powered by two Rolls Royce BR710-A2-20 engines with 14,750 pounds of thrust. Production of the Global Express XRS ended in 2012, with a total of 160 aircraft in operation. North America operates the largest percentage of the fleet with 40%, and Europe has 35%.
