I know we just got three Spotlights recently, but are Sina and Dexio even popular enough to warrant PokeFair? As far as side characters go, they're fairly forgettable. Or is it just because DeNA decided to stick them with Eeveelutions? Espeon for Dexio and Glaceon for Sina, btw.

Looks like a pretty easy skip month tho. I like Eri and the SubMas boys, but we had two Master Pairs last December, so perhaps we'll get more here, or some Arc Suits.

Also, Will EX unlock, finally! (I no longer use him, but he was my main for a while, so I'll give him the boost.)

I gave myself a challenge: create fanart of an already existing landscape with a 200x300 canvas - and so I did! (I upscaled it to 2000x3000 while exporting to ensure better quality.)

I had almost forgotten about Sina and Dexio from Pokemon X and Y making a surprise appearance in Pokemon Sun and Moon, so I decided to draw Sina motivating Dexio to go Mantine surfing on Heahea Beach!

Giving Sina a proper Ice Team!

So a while back I made a post about Sina’s team (or lack thereof) in the Alola games, while repeatedly questioning why they didn’t make her a dark type specialist. I gave her a team of Dark types designed around the idea of her and Dexio covering each other’s weaknesses in double battles.

Anyway, let’s get into this.

Glaceon has Snow Cloak, and the Battle Tree gives Sina an Alolan Sandslash and Abomasnow. There’s already the beginnings of a Hail/Snow team here!

I think a good team would be Abomasnow, Alolan Sandslash, Alolan Ninetales, Frosslass, and Glaceon. I’m not sure how good either of our two (2) ice type megas are, but I did leave a slot open for Mega Glalie plus not giving character a full team of six is *looks over at RR* pretty game accurate

Green Oak would like a boyfriend, and he's far too busy with university to get with anyone. But after he sends a confusing drunk text to their group chat, Sina is officially on the case! There's a catch though: Green must call Professor Sycamore "Daddy" for the next two days. Also, Red and Leaf are in town. What could possibly go wrong?

All this hype about Legends Z-A and only a few people have mentioned the possibility of Sina and Dexio’s ancestors/descendants? Other than being Professor Sycamore’s assistants they play a big role in researching Zygarde and collecting Zygarde cells. It’ll be interesting to see how this could be implemented into the game!

I wouldn't say I dislike Sina and Dexio as characters (they're too unremarkable for that), but I was never fond of the way they were used in XY because I felt Sycamore sending them to aid us kinda robbed us of an interesting confrontation between him and Lysandre.

Like, the idea of the main villain and a major ally character being friends was a really cool idea that just got pretty much zero development, and the game tries to excuse it with Sycamore going, "Oh, I'm not that tough!" when he's a competent-enough Trainer to be carrying around three Lv50s with full movesets, which, btw, not even Wulfric, THE LAST GYM LEADER IN THE GAME, had (his Abomasnow only has three attacks). Plus, if we can count his demo Pokemon too, that adds Crobat, Chandelure, and DRAGONITE to his team. Bad at battling/not so tough, my ass!

It would have made a mid storyline more memorable if he had joined you on your raid, or if Lysandre had Flare kidnap him in order to save his friend from the culling (justifying Sina and Dexio joining in more as a rescue mission), with the confrontation coming after that final battle with Lysandre, but ultimately failing to get thru to his old friend.

(It was one of the reasons Sycamore was my least favorite Professor at one point. Evolutions and Masters fixed my complaints about him by having him challenge Lysandre on his beliefs, and the latter even shows he's the one person who can get Lysandre to back down a bit and at least provide them an opportunity to make the world a better place this time. In XY tho, he just kinda seemed like a fairweather friend never attempting to try to talk Lysandre down and regretting it later, after his friend had--at least at the time. Like, Masters uses the original Lys tho isn't canon, and who knows what PLZA will do--apparently died when the base got nuked.)
