Indra Hair Recolor in Historian Palette

SOOO. This is my first time making a hair recolor and I’m super excited to share this with everyone! Please let me know if there are any issues with this hair.

One thing I’ve noticed is that the original mesh has a strange area on the forehead that almost ripples a bit. I played around with it but I couldn’t figure out the culprit. It’s not super obvious but I caught it when zooming in close in CAS.

Hi, you've probably got this question a bunch of times, but how do you take your Sims Screenshots for your lookbooks? I can only get clear pictures in CAS and I experimented with poses once but I could adjust the camera correctly! TIA

Oh hey!  Strangely enough you’re the first person who has asked about how I do stuff. With the exception of my group shots and some creative images, I take my sim screenshots for my look-books exclusively in CAS. 1.  I have changed my CAS background to a plain colour to make editing much easier.

2. I use SRWE to take high-res screenshots, just in case I want to get all fancy with my editing at a later stage.  You can check out how to use SRWE in this wee tutorial. This is EXACTLY how I take my shots.  You can watch a more in-depth tutorial here.

3. I have downloaded a bunch of poses that can be used in CAS.  I’ll link my favourites below. In case you don’t know, these poses are activated by selecting the trait which they’ve been set to.  For example, to access the Curves Ahead poses, you have to select the “Neat” trait.  Just be careful that you only have one package per trait. If you have more than one, neither will work.

4. Doing all the above enables me to easily cut them out and play with them in Photoshop - but you could do what I do with any basic editing program. I don’t do a whole lot with my screen shots as I want my sims to look like what you’d get in the game.

Moon Rider Shoes & Uno Socks

Some time ago I got a suggestion from @simsgeeeek​​ to make some oxford style shoes and I really liked the idea so i’ve been working on these bad boys since February. They are 100% handpainted and have a nice sheer shine to them! I kept adding higher and higher platforms, until I finally found them big enough! :D

Comfort Zone Challenge by @honeycuts

This is more like the opposite of a challenge, because the point is to push yourself as little as possible. Essentially just create a sim and do what takes the least amount of effort to see what are the features you always gravitate towards! Tag some people and call it a day!

i thought i would keep the male sim thing going even though male sims are a little out of my comfort zone and this was supposed to be a comfort zone challenge...i also probably spent way too much time on him for the purposes of this challenge

anyway so i made this handsome fella from a random sim and tried not to mess with the sliders too too much..i like him a lot though and will prob keep him around for story purposes

I’m already pretty lazy in CAS so this was super fast and chill. For male sims, I tend to go for a business casual style if I don’t have a strong impression of them. Brown eyes, curly hair, thicker eyebrows and bottom lips, and either that beard or no facial hair are my comfort zone. 

I wish I knew more adult masculine fashion styles, then maybe my male sims wouldn’t be so predictable~

I found a more accurate hair since I made this, but my outfits as my sims self. Tried my hardest to recreate outfits I ACTUALLY wear in real life..

I've been downloading a crap ton of poses this week.

I want to take better pictures in game but even with my settings high they don't look very clear. Anyone have any good advice to get clearer photos without downloading a bunch of programs? I'm considering buying photoshop but it's soooo expensive.

How do you feel about Simlish vs English in the game?

Wanted to get some opinions from others. I try to avoid using CC with real languages because to me it breaks immersion. Maybe its’ nit-picky but it’s the little things that make me happy.

Since they did a male Sim, I went ahead and did one too. My boys are always slightly hipster with longer hair. I love a good sensitive guy and/or non-aggressive partners for my sims storylines.

I just pressed random on CAS, chose this guy, adjusted his eyes and nose slightly and done. With a few skin details and and new clothes I made this cutie I named Adam.
