*gets onto one of my many soapboxes* does anyone remember when EA announced they would only make games that had to be online for you to play them forever

and then simcity (2013) came out and was like that and it did so so so bad

and they said nevermind we can still make offline games

and then the sims 4 came out in 2014

and we can thus conclude that for the majority of its dev time the sims 4 was being developed as an online-only experience

and thats why the sims 4 is unsalvageable and always has been and will never be a satisfying experience no matter how many updates and paid content they pile onto it

because the underlying foundations of the game are very rushed and still have a lot of the limitations required for an online-only game
