Hello! I have a couple of free day so I decided to keep working on Viperion (can’t believe I last touched it in 2019...I hardly remember how it was before covid generally)..anyway I fixed all the speculars (that I obviously made wrong) and added already all the LODs. For his hair I’ve used Luka’s one but changed the base and the tips color since the shape is basically the same. They’ll be standalone anyway so you can download only one of them ot both and they’ll show up in game without problem. The earrings instead are the ones from Luka’s set, I won’t reupload them again!

So the set is going to have 6 pieces (I need to make the harp and the miraculous but I hope I can be done with them by the end of the week), I’m still deciding if I’ll should create a “flat” version of the suit/boots/mask since for the other set it was just a matter of specular exagons, but here he has 3D scales accomplished with the help of normal map too. Tell me if you prefer to have the two versions or just one as I did for HM and Mayura (technically Queen Bee should have had the specular and the normal map too with the pattern, but I decided to use only the specular to match the other heroes).

I just checked the heroes we know so far (thanks wiki cause I forgot half), without considering the fusions etc:

Pegasus: just flat specular

Vesperia: specular with bump noise

Polymouse: the only new one who still has specular exagons

Purple tigress: a lot of details but zero specular pattern

Ryuko: has some sort of specular mermaid scales instead of the exagons

King Monkey: nothing

Adult Bunnyx: nothing

Pigella: GLITTER QUEEN

TBH I would let Viperion as it is (since it’s better looking) but at the same time I want to go back and remake everything again. The “issue” I always had with these sets is that if I add details on the specular/normal map, they won’t show on people whose game settings are on low (they get deactivated to make the game run better since it doesn’t have to render them). I’m thinking if I should make them as an overlay on the texture too for these people, and completely delete the “flat” ones.

With low settings none of them will show up and nothing will reflect light.

If I’ll add them directly to the texture they’ll look something like this:

They’ll be there but not react to light.

I think I’ll try it on some old sets and consider the result.

I guess Viperion is finished? I mean, I still have to make the pose and the previews, but I should have finished all the pieces of the set.

Hope you like how the miraculous turned out, as usual I tried to make it as accurate as possible within the game limitations.

Next set will be Kagami and I’ve to start from scratch (I had already made viperion’s suit, mask and shoes years ago..which sound odd, but basically right after Desperada came out). The only thing that I’ve already done of the new heroes is Polymouse miraculous, and I shouldn’t have any other wips around.

Do you like the final result? Is there something you think I should change about this set? In the end I decided to only create this specular version, and probably I won’t be making any other double versions as I did in the past, let’s just say it was something for the “main” heroes. I think at the time I decided to make them double cause I had an old laptop and I didn’t know speculars very well, but now I’m all about the “details”.

Ta-da! I was able to texture it (specular too) before going to work! Just tested it in CAS for now but it seems to work fine anyway!

Mesh is finished (got the inspiration to make it before going to work). Still need to make the uvs but it’s not going to take long. I know the proportions are kinda odd, but that’s what I needed to to to make it work with sims’ very low poly wrist. Hope you still like it. It’s way better than my first version.

Made Viperion's lyre(right?) and tested it in game. It works with any body type but floats a bit to avoid major clipping with some animations. Next days I'll make the texture for it and then all it's left is the miraculous.

I checked my Chat Noir folder and I really don't have the will now to restart fixing his set, I prefer to focus on the main heroes since I'm inspired. From s3 I "just" need to make Pegasus, king monkey and Ryuko (with their respective civilian outfits) iirc. Bunnyx is paused till they show her in this time or till they completely exclude the possibility. Then I'll should have s4 in HD available to start with the new heroes (Pigella, purple tigress, polymouse..etc?). For now I just want to focus on the main Sets, I can't wait to see them all together in my game lol.

Before, after, before, after.

Viperion suit (and shoes and mask) is finished. I know it's not exactly the same as the show, and despite miracle queen there still weren't enough references for him, but I've spent hours just to fix his suit, I had to redo the upper mesh, half of the texture and the specular and normal maps again from scratch. I have no intention to spend even more time on details that make little difference. I hope you still like it.

Anyway, I'll check all the messages/notifications tomorrow after university since now it's late night.

(I’m too tired to look for the authors of the poses, but I’ve already used them in other posts so they are listed there)

I “finished” the suit and the shoes, not really finished because I miss the stripes on the back (since I don’t know how they are made), but I really love how it turned out in game. On the other hand, I can’t stand anymore those hair on him.

Yep, that trio pose is the one that inspired me making Viperion after rewatching Desperada, expecially Multimouse version. What this show did to me.

Tested in game and I like it with the specular. The only downside is that with my Luka sim the dark lines that are supposed to be vertical are zig-zags. Chat’s hair because I didn’t know what to use for the moment.

Also, I know the spoilers are about Multimose (at least that’s what I thought I saw from the couple of frames, the mask and the necklace looked like Zag’s leaks) but could anyone confirm or send a pic/a link to a pic of her outfit closeup during the transformation? I just need to see how the specular is (if like Chat’s or like Ladybug’s) but I don’t want to have more spoilers. Since I’m making Viperion for a couple of poses I have in mind with Ladybug/Multimouse and Chat (WHO could have guessed, right?) I want to fix the specular of my Multimouse a little.

Even after the episode will air, I won’t publish Multimouse (nor probably fix it now) because, if the hints in the opening are correct, there’s another female classmate that is going to wear that miraculous, and I want to create that set first. If you wonder why, it’s because (as for aspik) the miraculous is the same for the same frame in game (female) and I want to add it to the main set and not to a secondary one. With Mister Bug/Lady Noire I could make the sets because the miraculouses are worn by different sim frames (male/female) so I had to adjust the mesh and clone a new object anyway, but for miraculouses worn by the same gender I want to focus on the main holders first to avoid duplicates.

Who could have guessed that I can’t complete Viperion Set even if I wanted to?? I don’t have a clear reference of his whole back, do you see the lines in his abdomen? He has them in his back too but I don’t know how many and where they are placed. Who’s going to beg one of the team for a reference pic? :c

Also, I still need to make the lines on the leg, I just don’t have time now but I should have enough reference for them. I hope with the specular and normal maps, the details you see in the last pic are going to stand up more. As usual, some proportions are messed up, but the important thing is the similarity, right? (It has so many layers and details that GIMP and blender decided to give up at some point).

Pictures taken in S4S, so no specular yet. The masks are always a little blurried/had weird angles due to the head and the fact that mines are just face paint. In any case I’m pretty happy with the result!

Does Viperion still need to be tagged as spoiers? I feel like the fandom has been head over heels for him for months already.
