The building is dedicated to Ukraine's Independence Day on August 24, as the actual building is part of the president's office and is used as a residence for official and diplomatic ceremonies 🇺🇦
I finally finished this house after several rebuilds. No matter how hard I tried, the list of additional materials did not become much smaller. Rather less scattered. But do not be afraid: I divided the entire CC into 2 parts - for the facade and the interior. So if you don't need every detail, you can download just the exterior decoration part and furnish the house however you like. If a particular detail from the screenshots caught your eye - I will gladly share the link.
You might not hear it, but the alien plants from the Get to Work expansion make fantastic sounds, adding to the magical atmosphere.
I changed the back of the facade a bit because I wanted to place this building in Glimmerbrook, while the original building is much larger than lot I used for the house.
Of course, the sculptures only very remotely resemble the original ones. But I think the overall silhouette looks pretty similar if you think of the whole house as one sculpture.
The interior can also only remotely resemble the real one, solely due to its whimsicality.
Today, one of the halls of the building is used for face-to-face diplomatic meetings in light blue tones with Chinese motifs - the "Chinese" room. But you can use it as a dining room.
The exterior of the house is fully matched by its interiors with artistic paintings, marble, stucco decoration, wood carvings, and inlays. The fireplaces of the famous German company Mason are of great artistic value. There are spiral staircases, hunting-themed stained glass windows, and polygonal halls.
The free planning uses the principle of functional interconnection of isolated groups of rooms (halls, residential, utility), which is characteristic of luxurious residences of the beginning of the 20th century (when the house was built).
The architect of the building, Vladyslav Horodetskyi, is a unique and mysterious personality. In addition to his admiration for architecture, he also loved hunting. Therefore, perhaps he decorated the facade with his own dreams for himself for his 40th birthday.
Floor plans, more screenshots, additional info and DOWNLOAD here (always free).

Art Nouveau · A Realm of Magic Recolor Set by AndiBuilds
I may have gotten off track from my liberty villa again…
More info under the cut!
Well, in the process of making another attempt at a liberty style villa, I became frustrated with the fact that we have an entire Art Nouveau-inspired GP set with Realm of Magic in… uh… some interesting swatches. I generally find them way too bright to be useful.
I also wanted to be able to pair the items with @felixandresims content - mainly the architectural elements, Florence set, and Paris set, which come in beautiful subtle stone and wood variations. I focused on the gold-ish stone, toned-down beige stone, green wood, and walnut wood color, as well as the original cherry wood and white.
The stained glass, originally very bright, has also been toned down to a gradient green and pink that I feel matches the vibe better.
This is a mini-set - the only items from ROM that have been recolored are the larger doors and windows.
There is also a bonus fireplace recolor included from the Growing Together pack, in four wood variations with pink and green matching art nouveau tiles. You’ll need Realm of Magic for the windows/doors, and Growing Together for the fireplace.
Now, if I ever finish my villa, I’ll be lucky…

Tag Game for Historical Simblrs! 📖
1. What has been your favorite time period to play in or which one are you most excited for?
As far as actually playing the game? The 1900s. I really did a lot of gameplay and overall it was just a wholesome, pleasant time to play the game. However, it’s definitely my least favorite story wise and I feel like not a lot happened.
So as far as the actual plot goes, I’ve been looking forward to the 20s literally since I began this challenge. While difficult, it has also been so fulfilling to actually see it all come to life. Now, I’ve got my eyes set on the 1940s 👀
2. Do you have a favorite piece of historical cc? (CAS or BB)
Oh this is…impossible 😅
I have gone through so many styles and eras already that I have mainstay pieces for each as well as pieces that just stop my heart. I think the one that I’m fixated on right now is Zelda’s 1920s bob. Of course she’s grown it out a bit now but it’s still iconic in my heart.
3. Who is your favorite sim currently?
Okay another one that is basically impossible. Because like, how do I pick between my pixel babies right now? Antoine and Jo are absolutely my baby angels, and are both my favorites at various points in the narrative.
But it’s so difficult to pick them as my overall favorite over Zelda, just because I’ve been playing and writing as Zelda quite literally since she was born.
4. What is your favorite world?
Currently? Willow Creek hands down. This is more because I’ve transformed it into New Orleans than it is because of any merit it has on its own. I use mods and put in a lot of work to make it look this way, but now, it’s by far my favorite.
5. Are you more gameplay or story focused?
Well….I think we know the answer to this one 😂
Storytelling drives my gameplay without a doubt. I write very far in advance, and that plot is what determines how I tell the story. Often I try and recreate these things as close as possible in gameplay, but let’s be honest, that isn’t always easy in this game.
6. Do you like to play with pets in your historical saves?
Ah, not an awful lot. Because I’m usually in storytelling mode posing sims and trying to get from one scene to another, I can often find them cumbersome. Of course we did have Daisy in the 1900s and she was lovely to have at Darlington Cottage, but I think that’s because I was doing more gameplay in that era so it made more sense.
7. What’s your biggest immersion breaking pet peeve with the game?
Sigh. What always got me was when a family member from another world showed up at my sims doorstep or is just walking in the background. So I’m in downtown “New Orleans” and all of a sudden, oh look! There’s Virginia walking in the background of a scene.
Luckily now I have this mod to get everyone to stay in their world 😉
8. What’s your favorite in-game historical item? (CAS or BB)
Honestly, just to make my life easier, I often filter by Custom Content and call it a day. This is especially true in CAS because I find all the assets overwhelming, I don’t even really use many in-game items there (except for a pair of base game lace up boots I use constantly).
In BB I find there’s a number of small items that I like using, such as the BG coat rack, the flowers from Cottage Living, the round BG dining table, the Tiffany lamp from Cats and Dogs, and a number of others!
I also used quite alot of the Realm of Magic Assets in Zelda and Antoine’s apartment, so I’m really fond of those, especially the Art Nouveau parquet floorboards and wallpaper.
9. What would you like to see as a new pack or asset to the game?
This is a personal one for the story going forward (👀) but absolutely horses. Otherwise, I would love to see more functionality for music and bands in the game, maybe even with some vintage assets to complete that vibe.
10. What pack do you think is invaluable as a historical simmer?
Like I’m sure most people would say, Cottage Living. It just offers so much gameplay for historical simmers as well as a gorgeous world that I’ve gotta select it (see my whole long list of pack recs here).
11. Do you have a favorite mod to enhance historical gameplay?
The mod that is absolutely invaluable to me is Timeless. It is what allows me to get so many scenic screens without pesky objects in the way and also simply makes the worlds so much more immersive to me.
12. What’s your ideal family size for playing?
The 1900s Darlingtons are frankly as large as I can go with the family. So a household of six, max, plus maybe a pet. Even then, I get very overwhelmed. So I usually prefer households of 4-5 although I do also like a household of 3 with an only child 😉
13. Do you use poses?
Goodness gracious, yes. All the poses all the time for everything. Even when I try to use in game animations I get more annoyed that I can’t control the angles as much.
14. Do you use any overrides in your game?
I actually don't! I suppose it would be very useful but its just not really something I've ever delved into.
15. Do you, or did you, play off-the-grid during your game?
Yes, I played off the grid for all of the 1880s and 1890s. I now slightly regret it because this means I was taking all of my photos with candles, and that lead to that heavy yellow tone in all of my early interior photos.
I also played off the grid for most of the 1900s until darlington cottage got that upgrade that included the inside bathrooms. Best moment of the game lol
16. What lifespan do you play on?
I play with custom lifespan settings where 4 in game sim days equal 1 IRL year.
17. What inspired you to start playing a historically?
Whew. Well I was playing my own version of the NSB challenge that I wrote when I hit gen 6. This gen was meant to be a film star, so I kind of had this idea that as her career progressed, her fashion would also go through the eras of old Hollywood. Looking back, I now also realize that this was me getting fed up with the lack of time progression that inevitably comes from playing a “modern” legacy challenge.
Anywho, I was looking for CC for this when I came across the wonderful lookbooks of Pixelnrd. This of course led me to their challenge and I started reading one afternoon. By the next day I had the idea for the Darlingtons already forming in my head 🥹
Thank you so much for the tag my dearest @antiquatedplumbobs I’ll pass the love along to @heartblobs @alainas-sims @taanoir @miraplayssims @lovecidik @someplumberrys @sims-half-crazy @greatbritishsimchallenge and @come-hell-or-high-water
And anyone who feels like answering a whole long list of questions! 🤗

Alphonse Mucha Art
Alphonse Mucha, was a Czech artist synonymous with Art Nouveau in my mind and one of my favorite artists of all time because of his style and use of color. I wanted to have some art from Mucha for my Sims to enjoy as well. Hopefully, you will like them too!

Magical Misadventures
Hello! So I got Realm of Magic, since it comes pretty highly recommended, but mainly cos I wanted it so I could use a fairy mod. The Spellcasters in the Sims 4 work pretty well and the gameplay is fun and whimsical, I think occults in the Sims 4 are impressive, and I might get the vampire and werewolf pack too. I just wish plantsims were a little more fleshed out.
Anyway the Magic Realm is so kooky and fun. Sadly there's no narrative about fixing the world, seeing as how it seems broken and fragmented, but I guess that's to be expected with this game. Thank god the Magic Realm HQ at least can be edited. I thought it'd be cool to continue the theme of disintegrated buildings with the back quarter of the building looking like it imploded, with the remains floating off into the void.
I do really like the art nouveau style that the pack comes with, and the CAS is giving me Shadow Hunters vibes, which isn't a bad thing necessarily.
I did find that Glimmerbrook is kind of strange. I think it's meant to be some kind of forestry town, yet the hood does look very fancy, apart from the sad red neck bar. As such I decided that the story here is that the area was once a gated community, that has been home to Spellcasters for generations, although it seems to have been abandoned, perhaps mirroring why the Magic Realm is also falling apart . Anyway, I moved the Elixirs and Brews bar underground, accessible through a secret door, and above is the town's defunct ranger station.
I renamed the Charm family Le'Esotaire. And their house is pretty much French art nouveau. The house of Grace Anasi and Tomax Colette is modelled after a standard victorian.
The lots here are outwardly pretty run down, and the point of it is to keep the hood under the radar and discreet so Sims don't come snooping.

By chance do you have a list of all the cc in your builds? I'm obsessed with the old style you make but can't recreate it with my limits
You just reminded me that some time ago I wanted to make a post where I'd share links, divided into historical/aesthetic styles. Mostly because I often can't find the original mods and their artists lost in the corners of the internet. I may come back to this idea later. I currently have about 40 GB of mods that I've been collecting since the game came out, so I'm not sure I can name absolutely everything I use. But I can give a list of those artists whose works I use in my buildings all the time.
Here we go:
• TheJim07 (furniture, fine arts, building stuff)
• FelixandreSims (building stuff and furniture)
• ArtysSims (fine arts)
• Cliffou29 (furniture)
• Lili's Palace (furniture, building stuff)
• Anachrosims (building stuff and furniture)
• Regal Sims (furniture and fine arts)
• AnnaDeDanann Stories (furniture)
• Stereo-91 (building stuff, furniture)
• The Marble Mortal (furniture, fine arts, building stuff)
• ChâteauSims (furniture, fine arts, building stuff)
• NaviDesings (furniture, fine arts)
• Zx-ta (The Sims Medieval conversions)
• Thesensemedieval (game conversions, medieval themed cc)
• ShinoKCR (Art Nouveau - 1 | 2 | Art Deco - 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | French Quarter - 1 )
• Pinkbox AnYe (dark academia, shabby chic, cottagecore, french/provence chic, deco food)
• Kerrigan House Designs (victorian, dark academia, vintage, food/cooking deco, cottagecore, shabby chic, themed sets)
• Sims4Luxury (dark academia)
• sims41ife (different vintage objects)
•Milja Maison (dark academia) Inactive. You can find their sets on the internet
• Hydrangeachainsaw (different vintage objects)
• Lady Moriel (magic stuff/game conversions - Dishonored set 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 |)
• Mara45123 (TES: Skyrim conversions)
• Etheric (Resident Evil | Devil May Cry conversions)
• Natalia Auditore (vampire, gothic)
• Syboulette (gothic, dark academia, vintage chic, themed sets)
• HyggeSims - Bruxa CC Set
• Jennisims (vintage, retro, antique decor)
That's not all CC I use in my builds, but most of it. Some of it is maxis match, other is high poly. There are standalone objects and mods that require meshes so you must pay attention. There are many mods whose authors are inactive, their blogs have been deleted, and their collections are scattered all over the Internet so I can't share them. But you always can find interesting stuff yourself.
Hope it helps~
