The Miller men, child and older, went on a camping trip to Granite Falls.

Orange also came along. He invited his little brother, Emmitt, and his dad, Thorne. Emmitt got some quality star gazing/cloud watching in while on the trip.

Newly aged-up Scott hung out with his older cousin, Tre, and Uncle Joe building blocks.

Cole felt like it was a good time to have a serious conversation with his dad. He came out to Phillip, and Phillip was supportive of his first-born!

Did the Miller's actually get together if there wasn't a selfie for proof?

Sophia swatted away the bugs around her. “Argh, I should’ve brought some repellants.”

“I’ll go stop by the ranger station,” Jason said, jogging away from them. Looking back, he yelled, “Wait for me!”

While waiting, Louie reads the map on the information board. “Oh, so this is the way to the woods…” he mumbled.

“Do you think we’ll see some bears?” Mason asked Sid excitedly.

“Maybe!” Sid shrugged. “Or maybe not! Either way, we should stay away from its path. We could get hurt.”

“Do you have bears in Henford-on-Bagley too?” Mason asked curiously.

Sid smiled, shaking her head. “I don’t think there’s bears there. But I’ve encountered foxes!”

“Ooh!” Mason exclaimed. “I’d love to see some!”

“Maybe next time,” Sid pats his head. “I can show you around the HOB.”

Autumns first trip to Granite Falls was a lonely affair. Though she managed to meet some interesting Sims, none gave her butterflies the way her current romantic interests do. Though unsuccessful in finding a person to give her an unexpected baby, she was successful in completing some of her aspiration.

Note to self - don't go to Granite Falls in the winter, the plants cannot be harvested.

When's the last time you went bug collecting in the Sims? I'm willing to bet it's been a while. I decided to revisit it for 2024 to see how well the Sims 4 Outdoor Retreat is holding up.

It was a lot more fun than I expected, to be totally honest, but I also had some complaints...

Day 2 of the camping trip and they went to the National Park in Granite Falls.

Thorne was anti-social most of the trip. He was kind of just there, and did not join the rest of the crew at the National Park.

A lot of cloud gazing happened during this trip...

Sometimes the game does an okay job at unplanned moments. That is not a staged picture of Scott and his uncles! They were watching as Cole threw horseshoes.

They ended the trip with more fishing and more horseshoes!

Meanwhile, Jason and Sophia encountered another plant, this time, it’s mushrooms. Jason, with his interest in herbalism, gathered some, and attempted to identify it again.

“What are these bugs?” Sophia asked out loud. “Maybe I can give this to Mason for his bug collection.”

So, she knelt, and carefully tried to catch it…and keyword to tried because she couldn’t catch it, for the bugs went and sprayed her with their stink! They ran away, leaving an unamused stinky Sophia.

“Argh! Stink bugs! Not for Mason’s collection!”
