Ramble below cut

It’s more than just having similar designs. They both are recurring side characters who prove helpful in battle for a main character, and have extensive criminal records. They’ve both been in shady deals/groups (Ronin with the Soul Archer and the other prisoners in Crystallized, I think, and Herman with the Stonecutters). They’re both morally questionable characters who are willing to help specific characters in most of their screen time (Herman with Bart and Homer, Ronin with Nya), and seem apathetic towards near all other characters.

And to elaborate on the design similarities, it’s all pretty obvious orange hair, green, blue and orange colour scheme, yellow skin, etc. (I’m not really sure if the metal parts over Ronin’s arm are just armour, or a prosthetic)
