Does anybody else find Bridgerton a little problematic? (Rn I'm in season 1 episode 8)

Yes it is placed in the 19th century, and feminism wasn't really a thing, but Daphne doesn't know anything about intercourse till seconds before it happens to her! Also I think not letting Simon pull out is a kind of sexual abuse, and with a lot of victim blaming she puts him in the wrong?!!

He should have told her, he "can't have kids" means mentally he couldn't stand having kids and being a bad dad to them like his dad was for him. But this doesn't mean Daphne was in the right doing this to him!

I think in the series it's not clearly stated that their fight/ kindof break up is mostly Daphnes fault and Simon is in the right for not wanting her to be present in his life anymore!

(Also the scene in which they sleep together for the first time is soooo cringe! Is this an accurate picture of people having intercourse? Cringe)

The Witch

I was in a small town. The day before I had watched Bridgerton for the first time, so naturally, my nightmares fed on my memories.

I was in a tavern with a new boyfriend (played by the actor who played Simon from Bridgerton). I had spent a couple hours here already, but none of those things were important.

My dream self began to learn more magic. I saw my boyfriend had hit his head, so I did a quick spoken word spell to fix him up. Little to my knowledge, it was actually my new boyfriends twin brother, and the real one was hiding and watching from the rafters. He was convinced now that I was a witch (but I was so much more). He had called me to the center of the tavern and outer me as a witch that should be purged. Caught up in the commotion, I was having trouble flying up and out. I raced to the outside and snatched a broom that I dawned like a steed into the night. Leaving the shouting of the people, I knew that area was done for a minute, so I traveled my dream map.

I passed the fighting areas, the schools and at the sand dunes, passed the corporations housing captives in a twisted society, and passed the haunted house. After flying a great distance, I came across an area that was home to many of the worst nightmares I had, including the school shooters and the monster that devoured my family seconds after they sang the birthday song. I would remember this large concrete block decorated with glass windows and spiral outdoor stair cases anywhere. I was not interested in this area, so I felt the dram was done, and woke up.

I woke up way too early for my alarm.
