Os Amadores foi minha primeira leitura da autora e, apesar de algumas ressalvas, fui surpreendida por um suspense bem envolvente. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🔎 De forma um tanto lenta, mas sem ser maçante, Sara vai te familiarizando tanto com a ambientação do lugar quanto aos personagens. Para quem pelo menos conhece Pretty Little Liars, outros que já leram suas outras histórias, vão perceber a velha semelhança sobre o local onde se passa a história ser uma cidade pequena/condado onde todo mundo tem um segredo a esconder. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🔎 Quanto aos personagens, por serem vários a dividir o holofote, eu senti que alguns tiveram mais destaques do que outros. Vemos como Aerin e Seneca ainda não conseguem seguir em frente, ainda tentando lidar com as fatalidades que ocorreram em sua vida. Maddy (apelido de Maddox) é um jovem com uma carreira promissora mas se vê envolvido em uma chantagem emocional. Fechando o grupo, temos Maddison (irmã de Maddox) e Brett, que pra mim não faria muita diferença se não estivessem na história. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🔎 Quanto ao suspense, confesso que Sara soube me envolver muito bem. Tudo bem que algumas situações foram um tanto fáceis demais para os jovens, mas isso não atrapalhou no mistério. Ainda mais com o fato de alguém não querer que eles descubram a verdade e está disposto a tudo para calar o grupo. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🔎 A escrita da Sara é bem envolvente e fluída. Com os capítulos não sendo tão longos, a leitura se torna bem rápida e ela tem um bom ritmo. À medida que vai se chegando na reta final, mais verdades aparecem. Porém, a grande reviravolta vem no último capítulo do livro.
