he just really went up and grabbed MC by the scruff of their neck and squeezed huh. not even kidding in the slightest. no simple i have my hand around your neck in a friendly (only slightly suspicious) manner because this isnt really a threat more of a warning type and i do not want to alert you. Nope. He just got up there and placed a forefinger and thumb where it wouldn't leave a mark, no one would be the wiser, but it will hurt. If he squeezed, it will be very painful.

Keith. Soft-spoken, well-mannered, seemingly unsure and recluse Jadean First Prince, went up to MC, grabbed their neck and said with the seriousness of His Title, the crown soon to be on his head, the weight of the entire Jade kingdom, the wrath of a man who does not like being manipulated, and asked MC if they were an Obsidian spy

can you just imagine being one of the guards during this scene? you've probably had some experience with nobles and their little jokes-gone-horribly-wrong. you're handpicked by no less than the devil minister, so you're trusted to be able to handle, to a degree, situations that can quickly escalate and leave one body unconscious. Or several.

So you're thinking as you receive your orders, your luck is turning up. Escort undercover Belle and the Prince around town? This is practically a day off. You've had guarding duties before and despite what most people think, it's a chore. Absolutely (sometimes literally) back-breaking if you're paired with a noble that can't sit still for five minutes. But this is Belle, you think, and Prince Keith. You've seen him around, especially with Prince Yves and Prince Licht. Aside from his imposing height, there was nothing to be afraid of. Not really. Not in any way that you think would put Belle under mortal danger.

So when Prince Keith moved closer towards Belle, you did what any good, obedient, discrete Rhodolitian palace guard would do and shifted your eyes away to give them some semblance of privacy.

Except.

There was no warning of any sort. No obvious shift in the mood that would have indicated Prince Keith as displeased enough to wrap a hand around Belle's neck. You moved too, body reacting reflexively on its own at the sign of danger to your charge, hand on the hilt of your sword, asking the Prince to let go and step away.

"It's a game." Prince Keith says. "We're just playing."

Everything in you tells you it isn't. "Prince Keith -"

"Don't." Gone is the reclusive demeanor, the gentle cloud you've seen on him. He looks at you and it is a physical force that stops you and the rest of the guards in their tracks. Your throat goes dry as you see the sheen of sweat on Belle's face, at the slight tension on their neck and the way Keith's hand was poised so accurately it was practically textbook. You look at the other guards, equally uncertain as to where they should stand. Duty tells them to obey a Prince. Duty tells them to avoid anything that would cause diplomatic issues. But doesn't duty also tell them to save one of their own?

You call out to Belle, ask them if they need assistance. All you needed was one word, even just a whimper asking for help. No matter Prince Keith's rank, Minister Sariel's orders were absolute.

"It's fine." They say, hand wrapped around Keith's wrist. "I'm fine." Their eyes were trained on Keith despite everything else of them seemingly trying to strain away. You want to ignore their reassurance because you know when someone is seized by terror

Keith: "You seem a bit agitated for someone entertaining a guest."

Silvio: "You already know the reason for that, don't you?"

Keith: "It's…. because of me, isn't it?"

Silvio: "Damn it... My negotiations with everyone else went smoothly."

Silvio: "I had the perfect chance to jack up the price, but you ruined it."

Keith: "I couldn't let you do something that would put Jade at a disadvantage."

Silvio: "Sometimes you’re actually competent, aren’t you?"

Silvio: "You haven't been swapped with someone else, have you?"

Keith: "..."

Silvio: "What?"

Keith: "No... I never expected you to see through me, Silvio."

Silvio: "Huh?"

Keith: "This is troubling. I thought you were a more cautious person."

Keith: "But it's not wise to carelessly pry into someone’s secrets."

Keith: "—Because then I'd have to silence you."

Keith: "I was just trying my best to entertain you."

Silvio: "That’s a good attitude."

Silvio: "Usually, you'd say something like 'It's presumptuous of me to entertain you.'"

Keith: "I'm drunk too."

Heyyyy, it is the second set of the Princes from IkePri : D I might feel like I bit rushed this, but. It is done! These bodytypes are kinda my headcanons or so, I tried to keep them somewhat consistent with the sprites. Like trying to pinpoint some differences in their anatomy and run with those. Or if there were things that I remember from the descriptions. (I'm looking at you, Keith and you towering over everyone like Luke)

The heights might not be the consistent thing because it is quite hard to show 1cm difference in some. So take those with a grain of salt. The Rhodolite Princes you can find here

I also finished Yves's route and that boy needs some love. He was so wholesome! I just want to protect him, okay? Also started Keith's route now. He has been quite adorable, but we will see where it goes...

Rio and Silvio went in opposite directions, turning their backs on each other.

Even after hearing the rumors, he didn't put me down.

Emma: "Prince Silvio, I have a favor to ask."

Silvio: "Denied."

Emma: "I haven't said anything yet."

Silvio: "You're probably going to say something about wanting to walk on your own."

(He's sharp.)

Emma: "Then, please take me to the doctor."

Silvio: "Is something wrong with you?"

Emma: "No. I just think it's about time to remove the bandages."

Silvio: "Denied."

Emma: "Why not!?"

Silvio: "If you take them off, you'll definitely want to walk."

I still had so much to say, but Silvio silenced me by stealing my words with a kiss.

It was pretty tough to get a tyrant to change his decision once he made up his mind.

(I guess I'll see how things go until my foot fully heals.)

A week later, I was once again being carried by him.

Emma: "Put me down!"

Silvio: "I ain't putting you down."

Emma: "My leg has already healed a long time ago!"

Emma: "Even the doctor said I could walk."

Silvio: "I don't care."

(Something's wrong.)

His overprotectiveness had always been there, but this time, it felt like it had gone beyond the usual level.

(At first, I thought he was just worried about me, but now I suspect there might be something else.)

No matter how much I looked at him, I still couldn't find the answer.

The only thing I was sure of was that he had no intention of giving up being like a dog.

(What should I do?)

The rumors were still circulating in Benitoite, and every time I went outside, I wanted to cover my face with my hand because of the gazes directed at me.

(And day by day, he's becoming less and less responsive to my requests.)

I could still feel his agitation when I tried hugging his neck, but that's it.

Emma: "Prince Silvio."

Silvio: "That won't work."

(I need to think of another plan.)

(A special plan that will make him listen to my request.)

Emma: "………."

Silvio: "How long are you going to sulk?"

That night, Silvio tried to feed me again, but I averted my gaze.

It might be a straightforward approach, but I'd decided to maintain a defiant attitude for a while.

(He seems restless lately, so this should have an effect.)

Silvio: "Geez, you're such a handful."

However, he sighed in exasperation and circled around in front of me.

I tried to turn my face away again, but he firmly grabbed my chin.

Silvio: "I can see through your intentions."

(If you can see through them, why not just stop?)

He took a nearby drink, kissed me, and forcibly opened my lips with his thumb, allowing the drink to flow down my throat.

I couldn't finish it all, and some spilled from the corner of my lips, which he wiped away with his tongue.

His sudden actions made my defiant attitude fade away.

Emma: "What do you think you're doing!?"

Silvio: "I'm trying to feed you."

Emma: "I'll eat by myself!"

Silvio: "Denied."

Emma: "Aren't you the one being stubborn?"

Silvio: "Ha? I'm not being stubborn."

Emma: "You're being stubborn. You're not even listening to a word I'm saying."

Silvio: ".........."

Emma: "What's really wrong with you?"

Silvio: "Nothing."

Silvio: "I just don't understand why you're so against it."

Silvio: "Do you dislike being taken care of?"

Emma: "I do. Because you're not just some random guy; you're my fiancé. You're not a dog."

Emma: "Or maybe you really want to become a dog?"

There was a brief silence after I provocatively said that.

Silvio: “Maybe that’s not a bad idea.”

(Really!?)

Emma: “Prince Silvio, are you sure you’re not sick?”

Silvio: “No, I’m not.”

I could feel a hint of heat from the hand resting on my forehead.

(This must have been some kind of joke for that tyrant to say he wants to be a dog.)

Silvio: “If I were to be a dog, you would be...”

Silvio: “No, forget it.”

Emma: “Is something bothering you?”

Silvio: “Don’t worry about it.”

Silvio let go of me and flopped back onto the chair across from me.

While his behavior didn’t resemble that of a dog, his eyes seemed quite serious.

Emma: “Tell me.”

(If I back down here, I feel like this overly protective issue will never be resolved.)

I stood up from the chair and embraced him.

I moved my hands in front to prevent him from escaping and brought my lips close to his blushing ear.

Emma: “If you tell me, I’ll play along.”

Silvio: “You’re getting carried away.”

Silvio: “...........”

Silvio grabbed the hand I had placed in front of him.

Silvio: “When you hurt your leg, you tried to hide it from me, but I happened to notice it by chance.”

Silvio: “I don't want you to rely on others, so I just thought I’d train you so that you could only rely on me.”

(Ah...)

(So that’s what it was.)

(He’s already overly protective, so he didn’t want to worry me.)

(But it looks like it backfired.)

Silvio: “If you’re not gonna rely on me, I’d rather become a dog.”

Silvio: "Lean only on me."

He lifted my hand that he had been holding and pressed his lips against it.

Then he sucked my wrist, leaving behind a faint pain and a mark.

There seemed to be a sense of earnestness in that mark, making my chest tighten.

Emma: "I understand."

(This is my fault.)

(So I'll rely on him as much as it takes to reassure him.)

Emma: "If that's the case, I want you to remove my shoes."

Silvio: "Didn't you just tell me you didn't want to be taken care of?"

Emma: "That's because I didn't understand your intentions."

Emma: "This is what you wanted, right?"

Silvio: "Well, yeah."

(To be honest, it's a bit... no, it’s really embarrassing.)

He stood up and made me sit on the chair.

Then he knelt in front of me and used his mouth to untie the ribbon of my shoes.

Although kneeling in front of someone to remove their shoes wasn't something a prince would normally do, it looked like he didn't mind it as long as it wasn't an order he disliked.

His clumsy affection that showed through was so endearing.

(Still...)

It seemed like he was a bit embarrassed by the current situation, as there was a slight blush on his cheeks.

Watching him like that, the mischievous side of me peeked out.

(He might scold me for this, but...)

I gently stroked his head, and he reacted quite noticeably.

Silvio: "Cut it out."

Emma: "I suddenly felt like petting you. Am I not allowed?"

Silvio: "You're grinning."

Emma: "If you don't like it, you can shake me off."

I continued to pet him, and he remained calm.

Silvio: "Tch, why am I even doing this?"

Emma: "It's my way of saying thank you."

Emma: "Besides, you mentioned letting me experience what it's like to be a queen."

(If that's the case, I should be able to do as I please. I don't need to hold back with him.)

I brought up the words he had said to me before, and Silvio burst out laughing.

Silvio: "Ah, damn it. Feel free to give me any orders, Your Majesty."

Emma: "Then, after removing my shoes, I'd like you to put me to bed."

Silvio: "So, that means you want me to take you to the bath, help you change clothes, and then carry you to bed?"

Emma: "Not all of that..."

He suddenly lifted me and started unbuttoning my dress.

His actions were unreserved and relentless, making the situation more intense than I’d anticipated.

The dress fell to the floor, and in an instant, I found myself in my underwear.

I was so embarrassed that my fingertips trembled.

Emma: "I'll do it...Nnn..."

Before I could finish my sentence, he silenced me with a kiss and swiftly removed my underwear.

The tyrant, who had been blushing and had his head petted just a while ago, was nowhere to be found.

He held me close with one arm, his fingers sliding over my skin.

I WILL GO ON A WHOLE RANT ABOUT SILVIO.

Yes, he's an asshole at first, but if you give his route a chance, you see underneath all that hard exterior and everything that led for him to act and be that way in the first place. He isn't actually like that at all inside!! He cares so much and so fucking deeply; someone who actually hates his brother wouldn't have looked for him non-stop for three years. Or have gotten him matching gold earrings that Rio and him both still wear!! They have a 'I hate your guts, but I'd do anything for you' relationship. They're brothers. He was abused by the king several times physically and literally tortured and the queen both mentally and physically fucked up his views on things. Rio's mother was the only one that showed him love and understanding and even tried protecting Rio and his mother. He had to provide for himself when he was a KID. He didn't even get to have a childhood! Their brother is a psychopath who tried killing Rio and putting the blame on Silvio which the king's dumb ass believed! Because he hates Silvio! And through his route, he goes through such character development. Even to the point he finally decides to open up and be vulnerable with MC. He knew from the beginning that she was Belle and yet, still protected her and went through extra tribulations just to protect her. He actually doesn't even care for the glitz and glam! He wears all the fancy shit he does because it shows his wealth and power to other people so nobody fucks with him! This boy has gone so long without physical touch and someone who actually wants to see good for him that he pushes any and everybody away, for their sake! He says the opposite of what he means! He uses excuses to make up for his actions. Yes, he blamed Rio a lot through his route and pinned it all on that he just wants to annoy and take everything away from him that's his but in truth, he was trying to portray himself as The Bad Guy to keep himself from acknowledging his true feelings for both MC and his brother.

I probably missed A LOT because I'm just writing this at once on my phone but PLEASE give this boy a chance. He just wants to be loved and doesn't fully understand how to even do that. Money is all he's ever known that's been consistent and has gotten him everything he's ever wanted and needed. Now, he meets a woman with a pure heart, he finds his brother again and all he wants to do is protect them, even if that means he fails.

Silvio's character, in my unbiased opinion, story is so good once you get down to the nitty gritty of the core of his character, the relationships he's been around, the role he's played for years, and finally coming to terms that it's okay to be vulnerable and be loved.

I respect any all who may not like him, but I hope this rant, my entire blog and speaking to me could help you at all to understand and possibly love this puppy as much as I do. I love you all. <3

totally did not expect a little corruption arc going on there from Gilbert!! on one hand, i wanted Rio to just take a little dip, just a little, because damn did i just want him to go feral in his route, but i also am so delighted with the way he's holding back. just oooof that flavor, that struggle, the i want this i want us but i want her to be happier ooooohh dammit such a consistent trait for him and im happily miserable every damn time it shows up, the pining the devotion, nothing is more important than she whom i swore myself to ---- ughhhh im slamming my hands on the table, more more more i want more - and the next chapter immediately after, Rio finally revealing himself HA! got scared didn't you lil pup?

1. LUKE

Luke: I’m surprised I got the top spot. Don’t you and Chevvie go way back? Gilbert: That’s true, but you’re my adorable little kid brother. I’ve carried you on my back. You’ve carried me on your back. Good times. Luke: Aw, Dad… (bear-hugs Gil) Gilbert: (pouts as he struggles to breathe) Did you even… hear a word of what I said… Luke: I heard ‘kid’. That makes ya my dad, right?

2. CHEVALIER

Gilbert: So? What do you think? Chevalier: (ignores him and continues doing paperwork) Gilbert: (high-pitched voice) “Please, oh please, Gil! Please trample my country to the ground, rebuild it in your image and then run it for me!” Something like that, right? Gilbert: (dodges pebble) Ahh, sorry, sorry. It would probably be more like “Please, oh please, Eyepatch!" Gilbert: (dodges another pebble) What is going on here? Do you roll around in the garden before coming to work every day?

3. CLAVIS

Clavis: (stiff smile) I baked you one of my most sought-after creations as thanks. I’d be honored if you’d try it, Lord Gilbert. Keith: Picked me over the other guy, did ya? Gilbert: Oh, he’s on the list too, of course. But I can’t stand how much of a do-gooder he is. And besides, you’re much more fun to play with. Sariel: (stops as soon as he enters his office) What are these vermin doing here? Gilbert: (sitting in Sariel’s chair) Just a little gift I brought so I could congratulate you for making it onto my list. Would you like to do the honors? Sariel: (plucks him up by the fur) Am I to understand you’re giving me a chance to correct my oversight before you take things into your own hands? Gilbert: (brushes himself off) I expect you to do most if not all of the work since my hands are tied while I’m a visiting guest here. But I’m happy to take them under my wing if you can’t even do that much. Sariel: “Kill them, or be forced to kill them,’ is it? (glances at the tied-up assassins) I wonder which one of us they would consider a fate worse than death.

10. LEON

Leon: (glares) I take it you only stuck me on here out of diplomatic courtesy. Gilbert: Haha, maybe. But there’s something about you that’s always reminded me of someone I know. Leon: Whoever it is, I feel bad for the guy. Gilbert: (bittersweet smile) You might be right. Maybe I need to do better by him…

Licht: Do I know you? Gilbert: I was wondering the same thing, to be honest. But I’ve seen you around the palace enough times that I figured I might as well throw you on here. Gilbert: Nice eyes by the way, hehe. Licht: Oh no you don’t. My only family is Nokto.

Gilbert: Oh. There are two of you. Must be nice having an identical twin. (Resting his chin in his hand) Do you two switch places a lot? Nokto: You never noticed before today? I freaking love Silvio+ MC + Rio relationship so much, the way Rio and MC is like a constant headache and annoyance for Silvio but he will never trade them for something else.

The interaction between any of these three are always interesting and fun 🥺 I want an event where the old man of Benitoite see their interactions and realise that actually this three care for each other more than he realised.

Some scenarios I actively imagined is Silvio and his threat of throwing MC in the pool but end up being pushed into the pool by Rio, but He grabs and drags Rio inside too and MC gets in before both of them drown each other, and that damn old man just watching from idk above??? And just think what tf are they actually doing, but he keeps watching until the "fight" ends and sees while Rio is fussing to make sure MC is dry quickly by the towel, Silvio throws the towel on Rio's head and scolding him to dry himself up to in Silvio own way.

I won't deny Silvio's past action, and Silvio himself admits it was a shitty move. But the way that fucking old man actively blaming Silvio and won't listen to him. Plus what he did to Silvio is just so eww wtf.

It makes me sad that in Rio's route it's probably a long journey until they have some sort of reconciliation because SILVIO RICCI IS SO ALLERGY TO BEING HONEST ABOUT HIS FEELING!!
