Another unhinged update!

I had 2 people pass in the span of a week! So I flew cross country twice in 3 days.

I am so so so drained but doing okay!

I forgot in the original post that arcane came out in Nov so... Yeah. Brain rot is real. Lmao. But I'm tired rn.

Start of covid vs now 2019 vs 2024 ive wanted to do a redraw for a while but needed to get over my own cringe.

little blurb about me under the cut

I didnt draw at all in 2022 and very little in 2020+21. I was burnt out after graduating in '17 and then learning to draw digitally (school didnt teach me shit) but didnt know it. I did a couple small storyboarding gigs in marketing after graduating through a friend who was in advertising. I thought I wanted to do comics but after those gigs I was like, no thats what i want to do. But I had already graduated, I didnt want to go back to school for animation.

I took a storyboarding class online with Chris Copeland mid '22, didnt know that was a thing! Online classes for storyboarding!

And admitted after that class that my drawing was not where I needed them to be. It still took me maybe 6 months to get back into drawing, early~mid '23

I went to school for fine arts and i was decent at life drawing, love doing movement. But I could never capture it digitally, i still struggle. Going from physical to digital, i couldnt translate it. It made me feel worse, like starting from square 1.

so in 2023 i did, i started from the ground up. I look at things i dont like, decide what i want to change and just look at people's art and study it. I had a lot of the fundamentals, so going back through anatomy in depth didnt really help, it was more figuring out how I wanted to draw, especially digitally, and learning how to actually apply what I already knew to what I was learning. Im still learning. Theres still things I want to get better at. But I'm finally at a place where im enjoying drawing again.

Kitchen appliances I would recommend purchasing when moving out on your own:

Air fryer

One of those panini press grill things (not only can you make sandwiches but you can grill chicken and steak if you have an expensive model)

Rice cooker (not only good for rice but quinoa and any other grain, alternatively you could buy an Instapot)

Electric kettle (depends on how much tea you drink but it’s good for boiling water for cleaning and preheating water for pasta etc)

Kitchen appliances I would not recommend buying when you move out on your own:

Counter top coffee maker (you should not be drinking an entire pot of coffee on your own and it will be stale by the time you get to the bottom, plus these bitches suck to clean, Keurigs, French presses and stove top percolators where you make one or two cups at a time are more practical for a single person)
