v coming home (to kerry's villa) late after a long gig, accidentally waking up kerry when he comes in, heading upstairs to find kerry standing there, rubbing his eyes, messy hair, wearing one of /his/ shirts (that's like 3 sizes too big on kerry bc i love short king kerry and brick house v hc's). both v and tapeworm-johnny get such an instant-nosebleed-boner they're pretty much agreed on what they gotta do immediately. In the temperance ending, I'm thinking about the messages Johnny left on delivered. I'm thinking about him painstakingly responding to them, especially Kerry. To the anger and the sadness in the messages. It's a simple response, and a change of his contact name. "Not V, sorry Ker." [V changed their contact name to Johnny] but Johnny doesn't block the number. He doesn't delete the contact. He doesn't explain, but he understands the string of angry messages. The 'how could you?!'s and the accusations. He gets it, although not really responding to them. It's like back then, leaving messages on read when he can't bear to respond to them. It hurts him as much as it hurts Kerry. They both lost something and Johnny can't begin to explain how it feels to lose like that

Chapter 1- Black Dog

“Shit. Fuck!” V shoves himself against the wall, behind some heavy crates, as an Arasaka soldier’s HMG spits lead down the corridor. A grenade clanks against his boot. He dives through a doorway, narrowly avoiding the explosion, landing on his back. The door leads to another small server room that continues into another hallway. He wipes his nose as he gets up, only to find blood. “Fuck,” Part of him briefly wonders what he’s doing. “You’re the one who insisted on draggin’ me down here.” Johnny calmly informs him from the doorway across the room. “Gah… fuck you. I’m saving your ass.” V grunts between shots as he fights his way forward. Like you saved mine.  “Didn’t save shit.” Johnny stomps along in V’s periphery. “You’re still dyin’.” You gonk. V opens a door near the end of the hallway and smirks. Stairs down. If Alt’s info is correct, and she’s not bullshitting again, the cryo storage should be only a couple flights down. “This better be worth it, V.” If it’s not, I’ll kill her. “If it’s not, we’re both dead.”
