Dolled up - Buster Keaton x fem!reader
Warnings: Suggestive language
A/N: Hello fellow Damfinos💕 as a pick me up for not only myself but for any damfino who may need it i decided to write Buster fanfiction. There is a serious lack of Buster fanfics out there and darn it our little guy deserves love! Anyways this is a fun little drabble that I conjured up, enjoy!

"Why do these damn dresses have to be so damn difficult?"
You mumble exasperated to yourself doing the best you can to zip up the back of your dress but of course not being able to reach the zip. You didnt want to but it was becoming apparent that you needed some help.
However the only person there to help was your boyfriend, Buster.
You dreaded the idea however, mostly because you wanted it to be a surprise. This would be the first time you really dressed up in front of Buster and you wanted a somewhat grand reveal for when he first sees you all dressed up. But that was about to be spoiled all because of this stupid zip. As beautiful as the dress is, it's annoying to put on.
You two were going to a party tonight and you couldn't help but be excited. Even buying a new dress for the occasion. You two recently became a couple and now was your chance to become comfortable to the public.
"Alright, this is useless" frustrated you finally gave in with a sigh. You really needed Buster's help.
As you reluctantly sauntered to the bedroom door you decided you weren't gonna let him look. Realistically, he was gonna take a peak but you had no choice now.
"Buster?" You called downstairs at your waiting boyfriend.
"Yeah" His adorable baritone responded.
"I um" you let out a small sigh. "I need your help please"
Soft footsteps could be heard coming up the stairs.
"What do you need help with?" Buster asked approaching the doorway.
"Wait!"
Buster stopped in his tracks.
"Close your eyes." you said obscuring yourself behind the door.
Buster lets out a chuckle "You don't need to be modest with me doll. I promise I'll like what I see."
You roll your eyes "No! That's-that's not it. I need you to help me zip up my dress and i want to have it be a surprise when you see me in it."
"Gotcha." Buster said with a nod. "I won't look, promise." He says holding out his pinky finger to you behind the door.
You hook your finger to his.
"Okay no peaking." You say as you step out from behind the door, unhooking your finger from his and guiding his hand to the zip. Buster's fingers briefly brush against your bare skin and it understandably sends shivers down your spine.
You're sure he did that on purpose as well as zip up your dress incredibly slowly. It shouldn't of flustered you this much but your heart was pumping all the more.
"Okay." You said a bit too quickly after. "You still have your eyes closed?" You turn around.
Buster gave a nod with a slight smirk playing on his gorgeous face.
"Good." You quickly straighten out your dress and patted your hair down. "You can open now."
Buster opens his eyes slowly looking you up and down. Astonished. Astonished at how incredibly beautiful you look right now. Obviously you were beautiful before but here in your lovely dress, hair neatly styled, and makeup exquisitely applied, you are a marvelous sight to behold.
Buster stares lovingly, speechless, in a daze for what felt like a while before his vibrant stunning smile appears on his face.
You give a small smile with a sigh of relief.
"So how do I look?" You ask ironically
Buster didn't say anything instead he gives you the most passionate yet loving kiss that brought the familiar shivers and butterflies.
You whimper as Buster breaks the kiss, staring into your eyes with glimmers of adoration and with a hint of amusement at your neediness.
"You're an angel, doll. I'm the luckiest man in the world." He gushes.
At this point you're sure you're gonna faint.
That was until you notice your lipstick smeared on his lips. You stiffle a laugh before taking a tissue off your nightstand and wipe his lips.
"Not your shade." You chuckle.
"Not bright enough." He says in his signature deadpan demeanor.
"Oh hush." You say as you throw the tissue aside.
"You do look wonderful." He says softly.
Gently taking both of your hands in his and giving them a tender kiss.
You're surprised your still standing, geez this man drives you wild!
To keep yourself becoming a flustering fool you remind Buster that there's a reason for being dolled up.
However Buster would love if both of you were to stay in with you looking so radiant *wink wink*
"We should get going" You remind him.
Buster nods "Right." "Everyone's gotta see such a beauty."
It goes without saying but as soon as you walked into the lounge, hooked arms with Buster Keaton, dressed in your best you felt like royalty and you certainly looked like royalty as well. A king and his queen. Buster kept an arm around you all night, proud to call you his.
                  The end ♥️

Hehehehe I was bit hesitant to post this but it’s too gold not to share it! Plus, it’s a great contrast to this interview as he was being mature discussing acting in depth and overall, just serious(but cute haha). This one is light hearted (also bit cringey) as it talks about his past crush, Love letter, ‘snogging’ aka kissing(!!!!) and Romeo and Juliet, it’s more gossipy in a way? But I wholeheartedly love this interview, he’s so adorable.
So, I hope you also like this as well:D
*warning: there’s a slight mention about suicide and shooting!

"Robert Sean leonard's Lip Service..." (My Guy & Girl Interview Feb 1991)
Robert Sean Leonard's Lip Service...
What a kiss-and-tell merchant this boy is!
Robert couldn't wait to talk about snogging...wet ones, ones that make you want to puke! Eee...yuk!
But first we wanted to find out what he'd been up to since Dead Poet's Society and what his new film Mr and Mrs Bridge is about.
So Robert, what have been doing since Dead Poets Society?
"Oh, I filmed that a little over two years ago now. At the moment I'm in the stage production of Romeo and Juliet with the Riverside Shakespeare Company in Manhatten. I've also just made a movie called Married To It. I hope the title will change 'cause I don't like it very much. It's about three couples and I play the husband who's married to Mary Stuart Masterson. Cybil Shepherd is in it too.
"For a While after Dead Poets I went back to college. I took a year off and did some theatre. I also wanted to wait for a good film. A lot of the films that came my way were just typical teenage American junkie films. I waited and waited for something special until Mr & Mrs Bridge came along. I was so thrilled to get it."
What is it about then?
"It's about a family at a time before the war when four individuals spoke up, rebelled. It's sort of the last family unit in America where father knows best. The children don't have any rights-because they're the children.'
I play the strong silent type, who rebels when his father won't let him join the army. Paul Newman plays the father, and he's just such a brilliant actor. To me Mr and Mrs Bridge is about the importance of communication.
Going back to Dead Poets, is it true you got the part because you were unknown?
"Yes. The director, Peter Weir, had the talent and the guts to tell Touchstone pictures that he didn't want any famous actors. I was 19 when I got the part of Neil Perry, but i'd been working on stage in New York for five years before that-I started young.
"I still remember the weekend when we filmed the shoot-it was really depressing, just like the whole film. I'm just glad I didn't have to shoot myself on screen-all that mess!"
Was your school much like Dead Poets? All those stuffy traditions and horrible uniforms?
"My school was very, very, very different. I went to an ordinary public high school. It was much less restrictive. And we didn't have to wear uniforms. At my school there were the metalheads, leatherheads, deadheads and band fags -and I was a leatherhead, wore all the biker gear!"
So you were a rebel just like Neil then?
"Ha ha ha! Well I wasn't exactly a goody goody, thats for sure! I suppose I was a bit of both really. I was so focused on acting I didn't become too rebellious as a teenager. Besides I got to rant and rave on stage every night.
"But I was never at school that much anyway. I had to leave lunchtimes to go to the theatre. Strangely I didn't have many good friends like "The Society" But I did get along with everyone. There were a lot of similarities between Neil and myself, though. His passion for acting and learning. But unlike his parents, mine were, and are, incredibly supportive. The Dead Poets Society still get together you know. Most of the guys from the film live in New York and I've kept in touch with them all. There was a real camaraderie between us on the set that's carried over.
What subject did you hate the most at school?
"Well I loved things like history but my worst subject was gym. I always 'forgot' my trainers. I mean I like sports, but it's just that i'm such a miserable failure at them.
Did you get lots of Valentine cards when you were younger?
"I got a lot of cards at school, but not since. Actually I got a Valentine card last year from a fan, a girl in London would you believe. I don't know if I'll get any cards this year, but it would be nice. Am I sending any this year? Ahh Now that would be telling....!"
Have you ever sent love letters?
"I've never sent a love letter to someone I didn't know. I sent a secret one at school. There was a girl in High School that I had a heavy crush on, for four years! But I never had the guts to ask her out. I wrote her a card and I actually quoted a Blues Bothers song. 'I have everything I need, almost, but I don't have you. And that's the thing I need the most'. But I didn't sign it. She may have thought someone else sent it.
So, who was this lucky girlie, then?
"Her name was Joanna, she was my first big crush. From 13 to 17! She never ever knew 'cause I was really shy...I still am! Her last name was Lenz, so her locker was right next to mine, Leonard. So I got to see her every morning when we got our books. I did talk to her, and tried to make her laugh. Her house was pretty near mine too. I had a few pretty late nights where I'd go and sit on her lawn. She didn't know, but i'd just sit on the grass and think. I suppose that's just a normal thing about growing up."
Have you met her since you've become a famous filmstar?
"Well she moved to Florida when I was 17. It was the last I heard of her. Maybe I'll see her at our class reuinion. In America you always have a five-year reunion when you're 22 and you go back to school. I don't know if I'll still fancy her though..."
What first attracts you to someone?
"When I was 13 it was simply the way a girl looked and talked, and moved. Those things are still important now. But also someone who can make me laugh and talk about the same things and who has the same dreams"
What is your favourite romantic movie?
"It has to be 'Singin' In The Rain' I just loved the dancing and the scene where Gene Kelly sings to Debbie Reynolds in the studio. I'd love to do something like that, but I don't think I'd have the talent for it.
Have you, erm, heard of the word 'snogging'?
"Ha ha ha! That's a really English word. If you had asked me before I'd done Romeo and Juliet, I wouldn't have had a clue! But our stage director is English.
There's this one scene in Romeo and Juliet, the kiss goodbye, and he used to snap his fingers and shout "Come on, come on you two, we don't want this to be a snogging session"."
Do you remember your first snog?
"My first proper girlfriend used to play the piano and I played the guitar...we used to play music together (we'll bet!). That was when I had my first real kiss. I was terrified! She blew me away. There was a lot of fumbling, not knowing what to do. I remember kissing, then feeling nauseous (ie. wanting to puke). I just wanted to go home. I didn't feel pressurised into doing it, or anything. I just felt strange 'cause it was something new. In some ways I wasn't quite ready for it. Like it was something you're expected to do. But it's kinda hard to tell a girl you feel nauseous and you want to go home!!"
What's your biggest snogging turn-off?
"Gosh! Well it really turns me off when girls kiss wildly, when they try to swallow you. Or when their mouths are wet. I prefer it when it's relaxed and tender."
Have you had any other dating disasters?
"Not lately. I'm much to busy for girlfriends just now. But there was something in Romeo and Juliet, though. On the opening night I was in the tomb and I had to kill Paris then go and talk to Jiliet. I realised my dagger was missing, and she needs it to kill herself. So I just had to stop the show. I just looked at the audience and said 'Er, excuse me, but I've just lost the dagger! We'll have to stop until I find it'.
So I looked and looked until I found it...underneath Paris actually, who was lying dead in the corner. So I put it back in my sheath and said 'Okay, move on!"
Are you a good Romeo?
"Yes, indeed. Luckily I didn't have to climb up the wall to the balcony or anything.
Shakespeare really made an error at that point. If Romeo and Juliet touched or kissed in the balcony scene I think Shakespeare would surely have written about it. Whereas there's no indication where they touch at all. Did I have to wear tights? Oh, yes, I had to wear them all right. I've worn them before too. You get used to it. You forget you're wearing them after a while." Could be dangerous that...

playlist: past midnight
Vibe: past midnight, melancholy feeling- not really sad or happy just chilling spacing out. Music sounds good but easy enough to blend in with the fan running in the background, you plan on staring at that one part of the wall for a while thinking about anything.

Here are a few of my shots of Tippi Hedren at the 2013 Red Line Collectors Ticket Launch of Four Hollywood Directors Representing the Silent, Golden and Contemporary Eras of Film. I have many fond memories of Tippi. There was the time she was on the phone on set for “Return to Babylon” when she spied me through a window and waved at me. I waved back and we smiled. On the Red Line shoot I went over to hangout with Veronica Cartwright and Tippi where they both shared a delightful story of Alfred Hitchcock instructing them on the proper way to getting a man by cooking him a great steak dinner. These are two remarkably beautiful women who had men clamoring over them in their youth. I sure romance came easily but Alfred instructed them both how the properly cooked steak would snag them a good man. It’s such a mid 20th century take on life and romance that bares no basis in reality. It was delightful to hear them share that story. There’s the big cat stories too but I’ll get into that at another time. Today is Tippi’s birthday. Tippi is turning a glorious 91! Fun Facts:
The famous "Heinzelmännchen" come from the world of fairy tales and legends. In a poem from Cologne, you can read about these little people who helped the poor by secretly doing their work for them during the night.
The ZDF (Second German Television channel), which has its headquarters in Mainz, then created six little men (with names alphabetically from A–F), who help with the TV advertising. Using a play on words, they were named the "Mainzelmännchen." Their tricks are often so funny that no one wants to leave the TV during commercials. No one wants to miss the Mainzelmännchen—and that's just FINE with the sponsors and ZDF!
ARD, which stands for Arbeitsgemeinschaft der öffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunkanstalten der Bundesrepublik Deutschlands, or the "Consortium of public-law broadcasting institutions of the Federal Republic of Germany," is a group of both regional and international television channels and radio stations. ARD began in 1950 when Germany´s experience with media abuse in the years prior to 1945, the Nazi period, encouraged the country to decide to make radio and television in what was at the time West Germany, independent of government and interest group influence.
Just as in the United States, the media play a large role in shaping modern-day German society. It provides entertainment as well as information about the day´s happenings within Germany and around the world. It molds opinion and influences even the youngest of viewers.
Primetime quizshows have become increasingly more popular within Germany over the last number of years. The original hit Quizshow was Glücksrad, which was a take-off of the hit game show Wheel of Fortune and ran between 1988 and 1998. Since its end, Germans have come to love other popular primetime game shows such as Deal or No Deal—Die Show der Glücksspirale and Wer wird Millionär.
Franka Potente, born in 1974, got her start in acting while growing up in her native country of Germany. She hit it big in Europe with the German film Lola rennt (Run Lola Run) in 1999. The film won international film awards. She made her English language debut in 2001. Franka Potente is most well known in the U.S. for her role starring opposite Matt Damon in the films The Borne Identity in 2002 and The Borne Supremacy in 2004.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, a native Austrian, has made his name known world wide through a variety of venues. From body building to acting to his current position of Governor of California, Schwarzenegger is one of the most well known Austrians around.
He has been in dozens of films like The Terminator and Predator. Just in the summer of 2006, Schwarzenegger made an animated cameo in Pixar´s Cars as the voice of the Governator.

Anita Berber Let’s talk about the short life of Anita Berber - a very well-known night club dancer in Germany in the 1920s. Berber rose to fame with her unusual Expressionistic dancing, sometimes in a troupe, sometimes alone and in many of her more notorious dance routines, with her partner Sebastian Droste. She rose to notoriety by virtue of her appearing in male costume, also often appearing in public locations wearing only a fur coat that was then discarded - and finally as a result of her drug taking and prolific promiscuity with both male and female partners. In an era where everything was permitted celebrations of “Depravity, Horror and Ecstasy” were condemned and censored. She often haunted Weimar Berlin’s hotel lobbies, nightclubs and casinos, radiantly naked except for an elegant sable wrap a pet monkey hanging from her neck and a silver brooch packed with cocaine. Multi-talented Berber saw no boundaries between her personal life and her taboo-shattering performances. As such, she was Europe’s first postmodern woman. Among those Anita Berber claimed as members of her vast sexual harem were Marlene Dietrich, Magnus Hirschfeld (the founder of modern sexology and gay liberation) Klaus Mann, Conrad Veidt, Lawrence Durrell and the King of Yugoslavia. Berber acted in Fritz Lang’s ‘Dr. Mabuse: The Gambler’ and starred in the silent epic ‘Lucifer'. Even Leni Riefenstahl credits Berber for inspiring her controversial career. #neonurchin #neonurchinblog #dedicatedtothethingswelove #suzyurchin #ollyurchin #art #music #photography #fashion #film #words #pictures #neon #urchin #anitaberber #dancer #filmstar #scandalous #petmonkey #snowqueen #cocaine #opioids #androgynousstyle #sebastiandroste #weimarberlin #LGBTQ #unheimlichegeschichten #ottodix (at Berlin, Germany) https://www.instagram.com/p/B5kTY3NgMuU/?igshid=w0n9zal24cue

What Rajinikanth has to learn to join politics
"To be or not to be" "If chance will have me king it will crown me without my stir"... Shakespeare
Superstar Rajinikanth's fans are celebrating his birthday on December 12 and expect him to announce the launch of his political party. He has been dithering and delaying far too long. Expectations reached new heights in May this year when in a meeting with his fans he asked his fans to be ready for a war and he would enter politics God willing. This was by far the most definite clue that he has made the decision. Since then he has been meeting political analysts, journalists and even politicians to discuss his plan. Many seem to have advised him that this was the right time for him to take a plunge as Jayalalithaa is dead and DMK leader Karunanidhi has become completely inactive at 94.
More than ten thousand of his fans even gathered in the southern city of Tiruchirappalli recently under the guidance of the leader of the non-political Gandhian movement, Tamilaruvi Manian, perhaps to test the waters. Rajinikanth has consulted Manian several times before. According to Manian, Rajinikanth has made up his mind to start his own party. He has delayed it too long. Another popular star Kamal Haasan, who has been making big noises against corrupt politicians of late, has already announced his decision to start a new party. He has launched a new app for enrolling members for his new party. Another filmstar, Vijay, with a sizeable fan following, is also toying with the idea of entering politics. In view of these developments, Rajinikanth has become silent of late. People have been waiting since 1996 when he openly opposed Jayalalithaa saying if people voted for Jayalalithaa even God would not be able to save Tamil Nadu. Jayalalithaa was defeated  in the election. But her defeat could not be attributed to Rajinikanth's campaign alone. People were highly dssatified with her regime following allegations of corruption and misrule. It was time when people of Tamil Nadu were looking for an alternative to both the Dravidian parties and the then prime minister Narasimha Rao openly invited him to join the Congress party. He dithered perhaps he had a brilliant film career ahead. But it should be noted that Jayalalithaa staged a comeback in the 1998 parliamentary elections winning 18 seats despite Rajinikanth’s campaign against her.
He now seems to have realised that celebrity status alone can no longer win elections (he said this in a function to inaugurate a statue of Sivaji Ganesan in which Kamal Haasan was also present). True, he has the biggest fan following but can it be converted into votes? His fans have become older and more mature to vote for a filmstar who has no political background. All these years, he has been desisting from expressing his views on any political issue concerning the common man. His opponents say that he is a non Tamil. He is a Maharashtrian from Karnataka and Tamil Nadu should be ruled only by a Tamil. Analysts say that he is too much of a gentleman and lacks the cunning and deceit that have become the essential qualities of a modern day politician and hence will find it difficult to survive in politics. His superstar image alone is not enough to sustain in politics of intrigues. He cannot be compared to the late political giant MG Ramachandran who was nurtured and brought up by the DMK till he outgrew it.
MG Ramachandran very carefully nurtured his own pro-poor and pro-people image, judiciously selecting his film roles and pitched it right when the dissatisfaction against Karunanidhi's rule was at its peak. He won and till his death none could beat him politically. Jayalalithaa, who took over his party, was lucky to forge an alliance with the Congress in 1991 and catapulted to power by a sympathy wave created by the assassination of the former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi. The blame was squarely on the DMK which the people rightly or wrongly thought was responsible for allowing Sri Lankan LTTE to operate in Tamil Nadu.
People are becoming more and more politically aware to confuse the reel image with the real image. Actor Vijayakanthi who started his own party should be regretting now with his party totally in a shambles. In the past, the doyen Sivaji Ganesan who too had a large fan following could not make it in politics.
Rajinikanth's critics say that he usually makes such noises just before the release of his films which help them to become hits. His two films - Kaala and Entiran - are due for release shortly.

Here are a few of my shots of the always effervescent Maria Conchita Alonso. One shot is the premiere of Fox Searchlights' ''Jojo Rabbit' and two are from the Premiere Of Bleecker Street Media's 'Colette' at Samuel Goldwyn Theater. The other three are my on set shots of the the movie short “Return To Babylon” over a decade a go. Maria played Lupe Vélez to silent film perfection. The short was shot on a hand crank period movie camera in many different parts of LA. I was one of the set photographers. I later I had the pleasure of playing one of Ma Kettle’s sons the day Tippi Hedren was performing. Return To Babylon was a fun lively set filled with artist and Maria was key to making it happen. Today is Maria’s birthday. We share the same age. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Maria!! It’s alway a joy to run into you.
