i have a question! would i be mspec gay if like trans fem people and trans women but not strictly binary cis women? /genq
im not attracted to their "womanness" but moreso the "transness" and other gender aspects that happen with trans fem and women. ive been having a hard time because im almost certain im essentially gay for male, masculine, feminine, queer, and other non woman identities but i like using gay man to describe myself the most. i don't wanna misgender someone i find attractive because of my gayness being different.
that's one of the reasons why i personally identify as an mspec gay man - i'm primarily a gay man and am never attracted to cis binary women, but i'm t4t for any gender and have been attracted to trans women on occasion, so it's the label that i feel fits best! that's also why i coined the term sileneon.
you also don't have to use any term other than gay man for yourself if you don't want to; your labels describe you, not anyone else, and your comfort with your labels matters most!

Sileneon, adjective;
a trans (or otherwise non-cis) person who is typically not attracted to all genders, but is t4t/tlt/campion towards all genders. a trans/non-cis person who prioritizes or prefers relationships with other trans/non-cis people to the point that their own typical gender preferences do not always matter towards their t4t/tlt/campion attraction.
Hey there! This is a trans*-focused attraction positivity blog! You may call me Beo (bay-o); I'm a transmasc nonbinary dude and an adult.
I found this term - Sileneon - a few months ago, and immediately clicked with it as a primarily m/nblm person. I also see very little positivity for queer wlm/mlw relationships (mspec folks, transhet folks, etc), so after a while of deliberation (and struggling to choose a URL) I made this blog :)
My posts will primarily be focused on sileneon/tlt/campion content but the blog is intended to be a queer mlw/wlm safe haven in general. I aim to have my non-explicitly-TLT posts as inclusive as possible. This blog is also generally 16+ but I personally advise you to be 18+ as there may be suggestive content (which will be tagged appropriately, including with #minors dni for easy filtering)
All my mlw/wlm posts include any nonbinary/genderqueer folks that ID with those terms!
You can send in your own gushing or positivity through asks or submissions, and I'll post it to the blog! However, I have the right to delete asks and submissions at my discretion. Anon will be on and off periodically.
Most of the people I don't want interacting probably won't pay any attention to this, so here's a pretty cursory DNI so y'all know what I stand for. If the following could not interact with this blog, that would be great:
Terfs/tehms/swerfs, gender critical/radfems, transmeds/radmeds/terfs, aphobe, biphobe, anti-neopronoun, anti-mogai, believe transandrophobia doesn’t exist, anti-kin, anti-queer, anti-mspec lesbians and gays, gatekeep femme and butch, pronoun policer, etc etc.
As a singlet I don’t participate in syscourse but I stick with the pro-endo crowd.
My content may contain mentions of slurs. I tag as #reclaimed, though I recommend blocking any you’re uncomfortable with through settings > filtering > filtered post content as well.

I think you are willfully misinterpreting the definition of Sileneon. T4T relationships are desirable because both partners are able to mutually understand the transgender experience; something that a cisgender partner is unable to provide to their transgender partner. I fail to see how it is problematic for a transgender person to prioritize relationships with other transgender individuals because shared experience, at least for them, trumps their attraction to a given gender or genders. It’s not fetishy, it’s about finding comfort in other members of your own community. Attraction isn’t just about gender, presentation and sex; that’s very reductive and overly simplistic. Many factors go into who we cultivate relationships with, and for some transgender people, T4T relationships are very important. For some, so much so, that the dynamic is more important than the individuals actual gender identity. Hence, the coining of the word “Sileneon”. If you don’t like the word, don’t use it. But it is certainly not a “chaser” thing; you’re just revealing a strong bias because you hate the MOGAI community.
T4T by itself isn't bad. But if you come up to me and say "hey, I'm not into men but I AM into you bc you're trans", I'm punching you in the fuckin face because that directly implies that I either do not pass as male or that you see me as not REALLY being a man. That is why I hate it. That is also why I hate most MOGAI shit.
Side note, I'm not t4t but I am bi4bi. I get the whole preference thing. I'm not exclusively into bi people though, nor do I suddenly become attracted to someone I wouldn't be otherwise JUST because they're bi.

another term i’ve been thinking about coning for a while!
i find myself, as someone who typically feels no sexual attraction to women, thinking more and more about how i feel very t4t towards trans and nonbinary women. i realized that, while i would not date just any woman, i have felt so wonderful in every relationship i’ve had with another trans person that i feel my love for and attraction towards other trans people sometimes transcends my typical orientation.
i found the alternate term ‘campion’ for t4t/tlt, which is the inspiration for this name! campions are flowers in the silene genus, so this term is named after that.
the flag places pink, blue, and white stripes (modified from the trans flag) in the middle to represent the centering of trans love! additionally, i made versions with two versions of a t4t/campion symbol.
gender-wise: - pink is for trans/nonbinary women and other female or feminine genders/alignments - blue is for trans/nonbinary men and other male or masculine genders/alignments - purple is for those who are both male/female and/or masculine/feminine and for gnc trans people - green is for those who are neutrally gendered, partially gendered, agender, and anything similar - white is for those who are pangender, bigender, or otherwise multigender - yellow is for those whose genders don’t fit neatly into these categories (such as xenogenders/neogenders, agender men/women, etc.)
as for more poetic meanings: - yellow: joy and optimism - purple: pride and devotion - pink: kindness and love (and/or attraction, for loveless aros and others who prefer not to define their orientation as a form of love) - white: understanding and wholeness - blue: loyalty and safety - green: nature and life

the first one would be closest! it’s “i’m trans and though i’m not always attracted to all genders, i am attracted to other trans people of any gender.” as a sileneon person i wouldn’t consider myself ‘pan towards trans people’, though if that’s the way someone wants to word it idc.
