Viktor's Fall / Silco's Dreams

Viktor was born with a weak leg from some sort of nerve damage. It was not a big impairment, until the day his leg gave out and he fell from his village's cliffside, breaking that same leg when he landed.

It was a bad fall, broken by vegetation as much as he could manage.

Silco saw him fall and jumped after him. That day had haunted him ever since, sometimes turning to nightmares...

Tried something very different for this comic... I used a fluffy sketch pencil and painted directly on the lines. No references were used, all to save time and keep from perfectionism taking me by the throat.

It's my final entry specifically for the avatar event! It has been a blast. I will continue to have fun with the Arcane/Avatar crossover, but I'm going to focus on fic for a bit and rest my weary bones.

What fun this has been! Will definitely do more when A3 fever seizes all of us!

In Vaulted Halls, Entombed

Viktor never leaves Zaun. Instead, as Singed's protege, he draws the attention of Silco and ends up taken under the kingpins' wing, another stray in a makeshift family of outcasts and orphans.

With no one to stand by his side after the Council's ruling, a disgraced Jayce Talis enlists as an Enforcer and swiftly climbs through their ranks until he is assigned a mission befitting of the golden boy of Piltover's Police Force.

When a cadre of Enforcers barges in to the Last Drop demanding to speak with Silco, Viktor does everyone a favor by intervening in the conversation between them and his little sister before it can escalate to explosive porportions.

Or: another Silco adopts Viktor fic, with a nice touch of enemies to lovers, a focus on the sibling bond between Jinx and Viktor, and Silco being the best father that he can be, all things considered!

Pt.1 of turning this into a full on au (only not a fic because I personally can't write but anyone who wants to take it on can) This is all pre bridge incident

In this au I see Silco and Felicia to be as close as siblings and knew each other before both meeting Vander (they met as kids and then met Vander when they were teens)

Silco met Viktor when Viktor was looking/stealing from him for items for the first version of his boat (not the flashback one) and Silco said "well if you're taking them for a project at least let me see it" and though he was wary Viktor showed him excited someone wanted to hear and see his invention and as it was getting late Silco offered to walk him home and when Viktor basically said "this is where I live" (it was an alleyway) Silco took him home and let him take the bed and he slept on a old couch.

He doesn't introduce Viktor to Felicia or Vander until they burst into his home one day and wonder why he's sleeping on the couch and not his room. Then Viktor comes out ready to attack them with his cane because he thinks they broke in to his guardian's home. Meanwhile both Felicia and Vander are like "is that a child? and he explains that he couldn't just leave him there so they offer to help him.

On the days Vander and Silco work late at the mines Felicia and Connol take care of him. Or if Silco takes on more hours to be able to do more for Viktor, Vander takes care of him.

When they open the last drop Viktor finds the old music machine and fixes it for them and the first track they play is 'Our Love' it essentially becomes a staple in the last drop.

After Viktor successfully makes his boat work and the whole first meeting with Reveck happens. He goes home and tells Silco he made a "friend" but when Silco keeps questioning who it is Viktor changes the topic into how he made the boat work and gifts it to Silco as a reminder of how they met. While he thinks he distracted Silco, Silco is still suspicious and it isn't until the Rio thing that Viktor tells him everything and Vander and Felicia have to stop him from going after Reveck.

Viktor keeps the first boat (when they met) in his room and Silco keeps the other boat in the living room for everyone to see it.

Vander is actually the first to call Viktor, Silco's son and it's when Viktor starts talking about wanting to go to school at the academy. "Seems like your son is ready to leave the nest" causing Silco to realise that he does in fact see Viktor as his kid. This starts eating Viktor up because he sees Silco as an older brother and even tells Felicia about it and she tells him to talk about it with Silco.

They both tell each other and they both accept they both see each other differently and that's okay because they're still in the end, a family.

Silco is still despises the fact that Viktor wants to go to the Academy because of his hate towards Piltover until Felicia tells him to think of what Viktor wants but it isn't until she reminds him that the air quality is better up there and would be better for Viktor that Silco begrudgingly accepts.

Vander, Felicia, and Silco pick up extra shifts to get money to be able to buy a uniform for Viktor so he can sneak into the academy. They also all throw a party for him at the last drop when Viktor is officially a student there due to Heimerdinger.

but of course everything cant stay happy because the bridge incident happens

also sorry for not including baby Vi or anything with pregnant Felicia this is mainly focused on them with Viktor specifically

Okay let me add my five cents to the Zaunite au, where Viktor didn’t make it to the academy and remained in Zaun.

He was trying to invent on his own, but he desperately needed money for his research. And that’s when Silco appeared…

“Ah–” Viktor says– stutters– trying to buy himself enough time to just think .

For some reason, the only notion that his brain can produce is the memory of the fascination in the Inspector’s eyes as he had turned Viktor’s prototype over in his hands, the quiet admiration in the softened lines of his face. He has to know something, then. Even the most rudimentary knowledge of engineering- of anything even tangentially connected to Viktors' work.

Please , Viktor thinks– begs, really, to any god that might be listening– please let them have actually taught this man something more than how to shoot at sumprats at whatever prestigious piltie school he comes from.

“This,” he announces, stepping back around Jinx so that she’s no longer making a wall of bristling aggression between him and Jayce Talis, “is my new research partner.”
