dont know if you’ve seen, but Tenerife just signed Lena silano after she was released by Washington spirit. She’s a winger, who was definitely a squad player. Didn’t play much over her two years at the spirit, but is only 24. I don’t know much about UD Tenerife but i really love this move in the context of developing liga f. I can’t remember how many Americans have played in liga f, but not many right? So i think a young American/foreign player choosing to go to a mid-table team in Spain instead of choosing to stay in the NWSL or go to the WSL which is more of a known environment for younger American players will help make liga f one of those known environments. I think that and the fact that this isn’t Barcelona or Real Madrid will really be beneficial to the growth of the league!

yes, i saw! and not just lena to tenerife, but also amirah ali to valencia. the one thing about these lower ranked teams is that they should be guaranteed consistent minutes. plus, it's always great to have players from different leagues come to liga f and brings their skills here. 🙏

according to wikipedia, there have been a number of american players who have played in liga f over the years, including current players amanda frisbie and claire falknor, and many more from the past.

barça b also has current american player onyeka gamero as part of our roster!
