the answer to both of these questions is the lymond chronicles - my hope of heaven and my knowledge of hell etc etc. it pleased me bc it has lymond - a blonde guy i feel completely normal about. and its ending has disappointed me for many reasons but to name just a few: i detest the way philippa is incorporated into the story and the role she plays, i think the conflict of the last arc is stupid, and how the events that happen at the very end are handled is just offensive to me. even so i rated the last two books 5 stars bc i enjoy reading about lymond a normal amount
