I saw a post earlier today that really kinda got my goat so to speak so I wanted to re-post my take without starting shit on tumblr dot com.

I categorically disagree with the idea that Adam was ever planned to be the main leader of the White Fang pre coup.

We meet Adam leading what was suppose to be a resource acquisition mission that he turned into an attempted mass murder for shits and giggles because he is a blood thirsty idiot.

Not only is that incredibly wastefully and politically stupid of him, it is also not reflective of what Blake described the White Fang's methodology as during Volumes 1. IE the methods that actually were working and were introduce by said new leader which Adam was blatantly ignoring.

It also makes clear his relationship with Blake is awful given the manipulation, the lies, the dismissal and using her as a shield, and maniacal cackling ETC.

The second time we see Adam its in volume 2 right after its revealed that a ton of Faunus died because of Cinder's plan and Mercury wonders if they will still obey. Adam arrives and promising to continue throwing his people's lives away for Cinder. Making it quite clear where Adam stands on the subject while showing the White Fang itself lacks any loyalty to Cinder.

Before V3 we have two possible mentions, one being the silhouettes in V1, one of which could be argued to represent Adam, but also contained two other people. & the masks reference which, if Adam was the leader, you'd think Blake would just say it was an idea their leader came up with. The fact she didn't should make it clear to any viewer that Adam was just popular, but not in charge.

Going into V3, we already know he's fine throwing Faunus lives away for Cinder, so anything he says when rejecting Cinder needs to be taken with a grain of salt. Yeah Adam wasn't just gonna work with some random human cos he doesn't like humans and his people are watching so his behavior is performative. Cinder leaves, then returns and makes it clear she can kill him if he doesn't obey and he instantly bows because, shock and horror the manipulative abuser is not actually all that brave when its 'his' ass on the line, setting the stage for what we already know happens by V2.

Adam was never meant to be the leader, Adam was never a genuine revolutionary, Adam was always an abusive cowardly liar and manipulator seeking power and appeasement for himself.

Losing Sienna was a tragedy and genuinely a huge mistake on the writers part and Ghira taking over again is in no way ideal, but Adam is not some tragic loss. He's one of a dime a dozen would be revolutionaries who only care about the 'revolution' for their own ends. Any passing glance at historical revolutions and rebel movements will show people like him.

One can criticize the White Fang plotline without needing to big up someone like Adam; just like one can endorse revolutionaries without advocating for war crimes. Discuss Sienna and how she could have been introduced earlier or avoid her demise. Bring up how Ilia's arc could have potentially led her to being the one leading a revitalized White Fang. Or how Blake herself could potentially have taken the reigns more overtly, as challenging as that might be to portray given the overall plot line.

There's plenty of ways to emphasize the new generation, and tackling bigotry head on without raising Adam as a viable candidate and especially without engaging in historical revisionism as to his slated role in the series proper.

volume ix thoughts wooooo we're out of casa

first off, return of a legend: the beach hut

i was fully expecting the compatibility test to be more like the season 1 compatibility test with the zodiacs because that's fun but i guess that's less of a pot stirrer than a fun game to have. though the narrator poking fun at it i guess is making fun of the fandom for thinking it was gonna be horoscopes 🤣

so very obvious ass test though especially with the two answers only about the two guys you're pursuing, which I think is a missed opportunity to throw more lore about the guys in there. or at least make it not as obvious? really goes to show how surface level the characters are compared to, say, the Mr. and Mrs. Challenge towards the end of S2

I'd like them to stop with the Claudia/Theo storyline because it feels like they've already decided they're done with each other and are ready to move on? However, Claudia being compatible with Theo on paper but like not really feeling it is an interesting idea. Like she feels she's got no other option to stay safe except for him and they like each other enough. Meanwhile Bea's settling for Liam because he's shown any interest in her at all. (Let them date each other if MC can't! They deserve better!!)

i've already said my piece about Sienna, I love her design. I will admit though, her open mouth smile is a little stilted but people get botox so... not out of the ordinary lol. The bigger problem is how her hand on her hip is a little fucked up (color in between the lines, fusebox!)

as someone not on a Theo route, I really don't understand why he's sticking with Claudia unless he's got some personal turmoil he's working through and trying to actually reform his player ways. And I wish MC could talk to him as a friend and we'd see that. like in the way S2, you get to know Rocco's insecurity about never finishing university and Gary's anxiety even if you aren't on their routes

Anyway I'm still upset at the forcing MC to couple because she's single thing. They could've still had her coupled with Jin (or even with Hari it would work) and then she can either walk in single or with a casa boy. And then she's the main character: just say that the single islanders don't get dumped post casa (like it's SUPPOSED to be) because in that situation, she's the only one! Or if you need the numbers to be right, literally Emel is right there. She can come back to Oakley later if anything

still not the best stick or twist could've gone in terms of drama (or maybe that's just bc I've been looking at spoilers), but compared to S5-6, not too bad (I assume also s7 but tbh I did stop right at stick or twist for that season)

So fyi when I played Casa, I had my MC go for Shawn most of it, and then last minute switched to Max because I remembered she's a musician and I thought that would be cute. That being said, I wish it was like in the too hot to handle game where you unlock certain dialogue if you happen to have something in common with a character. Because why is Max explaining music stuff to my musician MC?

is Hari not an LI? Because they made him seem like one and then just all of a sudden we're not talking about him, it's only about Jin and Casa Boy. And I'm fine with not all the boys being LIs, but it is odd the way he's just shoved to the side in the story

holy shit ok I finally watched terrifier 2 (I was holding off to watch with a friend) and wow. Erm....this isn't like an analysis or anything I'm just gonna say shit!!

Ok so I definitely preferred the first half of the movie. Art is soooo cutesie as always awwww. They kinda lost me by the end tbh. I knew that things surrounding Art were already somewhat supernatural so I'm not too taken off guard....BUT. didn't the pure amount of it just seem a bit much? Compared to the first movie it was just so much idk. It left me with so many questions that I can only assume will be answered in the threequel. Why did Sienna's dad have prophetic visions of Art? Was the little girl "real" or not? And what are the rules of seeing her?? Was that ACTUAL LITERAL HELL? And why was she having a dream of it beforehand? Was Art in said dream "real"? Is he on some Freddy Krueger type shit? Why was Sienna's dad's sword magic and why could it ressurect her? Or was that just a visual representation of her living through her injuries? What the fuck was that with Victoria and Art at the end (that just felt random for the sake of shock tbh)? AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, was that Art's daughter? Like real life daughter? Or someone else's? Did he kill her? Or is she just some demon that took on her form? Granted, I could just be an idiot with 0 media literacy here.

Also, yes, THE scene was truly horrific. Only gore in either movie that I had to look away from. It was intense. Pussy hacksaw has NOTHING on that in my eyes.

FRIDAY

The next morning when I wake up there is still no news about my grandpa. The hospital hasn’t called so he isn’t allowed to go home yet. As I lay awake on the wall-side of my bed, in the empty house, I gaze up at the ceiling and try to figure it out. It just doesn’t make sense. They said he was fine, they just needed to run a few more quick tests before he left. He should be coming home today. If not today, then tomorrow.

But today passes by quickly. I leave my phone turned on and in my pocket all day, but there is no call. Around dinner time I start to get even more stressed worrying about grandpa and simultaneously taking care of the diner.

However, the last straw is when I see Y/N and Kuroo walk in and sit down at the same goddamn booth as always.

I watch as he walks her over, his hand on her lower back as he says “after you”, the smile on her lips when she replies “thanks”, and the laugh they share when they take their seats.

It’s so weird, seeing the two of them together that way. I never knew Kuroo had feelings for Y/N before now.

I try my best to tune them out, but it’s just so hard when I’m passing by and handing meals to other customers. At one point, while I’m gently placing a table’s plates down, I watch Kuroo lean closer to Y/N from the corner of my eye. He whispers “I heard that Bo went home with some girl last night.”

“No way, seriously?” Y/N replies, completely in shock.

How the hell did he know that? I think to myself. I left before they did.

“He looked super drunk last night. Hope he’s alright living alone,” Y/N then tells Kuroo.

“Except he wasn’t alone last night,” Kuroo teases.

“Ugh, gross,” Y/N rolls her eyes. “You know what I’m talking about. He’s been alone for a while now.”

“He’s got your parents right next door. He works here. He sees you and Al and Marlene and Akaashi. He’s fine,” Kuroo tries to reassure Y/N.

“Excuse me!” the woman at the table in front of me waves her hand in front of my face. “Are you listening?”

“Uh, yes. I’m sorry,” I shake my head as I bring myself back to my job. “What were you saying?”

“Mayo,” she replies as though she’s already said it a dozen times.

“And ketchup!” her friend chimes in.

“Right. I’ll be back in a second,” I nod before walking off.

When I return and place the condiments back on the table, I can still hear Kuroo and Y/N talking.

“Seriously, a new girlfriend? So that’s the reason why your mom’s never around?” Kuroo hums.

Well that would explain why I’ve seen Y/N’s mom kissing some random lady outside their house.

FLASHBACK ~ WEDNESDAY EVENING

When Y/N and I sit down on her couch, we both grab a big forkful of cake and devour everything that’s left.

“I guess this is how my mom’s been dealing with her stress,” she hums just before taking another bite of the delicious cake.

“Mmm, good coping style. Much better than sniffing coke,” I nod.

Y/N rolls her eyes at my comment. “You’re hilarious.”

“How is that going, by the way?” I ask her curiously as I look her up and down, hoping I’ve not made her uncomfortable by asking.

“I haven’t been sniffing if that’s what you’re asking me,” she replies while playing with the ring on her finger. Something I don’t even think she notices she’s doing.

“So then… Kuroo?” I ask. I know they’ve been hooking up, but I can’t tell how serious it is between them. But I think I’m making her nervous now because of the blank stare she gives me.

“I, uh…” she starts to explain. But with shitty timing, the doorbell rings.

“I’ll get it,” I tell her as I place down my fork and stand up. “Be right back.”

“Thanks,” she mumbles as I walk out of the room.

When I approach the front door and open it, I’m met with the last face I want to see right now. “Shit, what’re you doing here?” I ask him.

“Really, that’s what you say when you see your friend?” he chuckles. “Am I interrupting something…”

“No, but Y/N’s asleep right now. I don’t think she’s in the mood for any guests. You know how girls are when you wake them up,” I grin, knowing he won’t call me out on my bluff. “Don’t think she’d be in the mood to hook up with you, either.”

“You really think I drove all the way out here just to fuck her?” he scoffs.

“Didn’t you?”

“What the hell is your problem, dude? You got grandpa issues then that’s fine, but don’t take it out on me. And you better not fucking take it out on her, either. Y’know, you don’t really have a goddamn right to be pissed off, anyway. It’s not like you’re the one she’s-“

Before I make any stupid decisions I’m sure I’d regret, I shut the door on Kuroo’s face and lock it, too, for extra measure.

When I get back to where Y/N is on the couch, I sit down beside her and let out a frustrated sigh.

“Are you okay?” she asks me as she carefully looks over my worried face. “Who was it? A burglar?” she then teases, trying to lighten up the mood.

“Something like that,” I hum as I wrap my arm around her shoulder. I pull her close and relax as she places her head on my chest. God, I just hope she can’t tell how fast my heart is beating. “It’s okay,” I whisper as I lift my hand to her head and stroke her softly. “They’re gone now.”

A few minutes later, I can feel Y/N’s body go limp. I shake her a little bit and call her name, but she’s fast asleep.

If I were with anyone else, I’d probably pick her up and move her somewhere else, but since it’s Y/N- and since she’s so damn warm and comfortable- I let my eyes close, too.

I’m sorry, I’m just so tired of all these random claims that RWBY is “boring anime cliche” or “racist white male writing”, So...let’s go over them in segments

Female characters:

Aren’t walking fanservice shots and aren’t sexualized

Aren’t degraded in their field (combat, tactics, dust usage, etc) to boost up male characters (cause seemingly female characters being too skilled at something is emasculating to incels)

When a woman says no to a man, the man takes no for an answer and doesn’t keep trying. (So dear Hbomberguy, stop claiming that Weiss x Jaune was ever a thing)

Women don’t require a man to “Defend their honor” (This is in response to the dude who harassed me in anonymous about V5 who was upset that Yang punched a creep)

Aren’t woobified or emotionally weakened, instead having reactions to things like normal human beings. (Sorry Shonen anime which loves to make women woobified or emotionally weakened vs men) Being capable of emotions but also doing things effectively.

Aren’t made into waifu for male characters. Nora is still a badass and even being allowed to explore who she is outside of Ren, which runs against the usual anime/manga bs. Weiss didn’t get with Jaune after finding out he helped w/ Neptune. Blake actually defended her boundaries when Sun crossed certain lines (even though they’re brotp not romantic, he’s a male character that could’ve been put as a pseudo-love interest). Yang is also shown to be more than just Blake’s GF as we see in Ruby Yang interactions, Yang vs Salem, Yang ageeing to talk with Robyn. They’re all their own characters not trying to be the perfect wife for a male character.

LGBT+ characters:

aren’t in a world of “everyone is gay or straight”, so for me at least coming across as more impactful

have Ilia (lesbian); Coco (lesbian); Terra (wlw) and Saphron (wlw) also married and w/ kid that aren’t treated different to any other couple; Scarlet (gay-male); Nolan (implied, I think its at this point and not confirmed, mlm); May (non-deadnamed, voiced by and helped crafted with the help of a trans VA, and not having her trans status be the central element of her character trans character); Blake (bi) and Yang (wlw) that are a main pair that are being allowed to build to a relationship at the same pacing as the hetero alt. pairing. BB being naturally built up and not rushed into a relationship, though still soft-canon locked in via Nora.

So can the RWDE please stop trying to claim how RWBY isn’t better than anime/manga at least, but overall “isn’t progressive” in these areas.

Adam Taurus represents a very real element in real life regarding “Radical civil rights movements” ; extremism and co-opters; While the actual faunus rights aspect on its own is given a sympathetic light repeatedly. We also have Ilia Amitola, the female POC lesbian, get a redemption. While Adam Taurus, the cis white male edgelord? Is Evil  and gets his death by double penetration at the hands of two lesbians. (Edit: yes, I know Blake is Bi, as is her VA. It was an expression explaining how cis white male “authority” individuals get emasculated)

The WF has a lot of references, not specifically the Black Panther one. Also the WF on its own is fine, its the version that gets corrupted by Adam’s psychotic co-opting terrorist ass that is the problem.

 Reflective of reality where if any group for any cause crosses into violence that involves innocent bystanders; then they lose any credibility and are nothing more than terrorists. I don’t care what the cause is. Which is exactly what the WF under Adam presents; but is just 1 vein of it with Sienna’s vein existing, Ghira’s, and even Blake’s. Was it handled perfectly? No, you could have easily have shaved time from Adam to give to Sienna and had her live to continue. Personally I found Sienna to be the actual wasted potential, but EruptionFang naturally loves cis white male evil men as his favorite Meow Meows. Don’t even try to recommend a gay or bisexual dude to rwby critics, they’ll flip and call it pandering.

The MC’s aren’t remotely “paper thin”, nor secondaries. Heck the only ones that fit that bill are characters in the tertiary vein that are supposed to be that way. The “two traits” falls apart if one actually pays attention to the characters.

And most fixit fanfics not only sexualize the characters in a show with no fanservice...

Sadly they also overfocus on male characters and have their favorite male characters talk down the female main characters.

Robyn Hill represents the people standing up NOT against the military, but against fascism/totalitarianism. We see that for all the “good intentions” that Ironwood MAY have? It is always sabotaged by him. Ironwood backstabs Ozpin, brings an Army as a show of force, does multiple projects behind people’s backs, and yet displays more than few acts of hypocrisy. Volume 7 literally showed him acting as a dictator because he believed that only he knew the answer to everyone’s problems. Yet the consequences of HIS actions are what led to Atlas Downfall. Yang and Blake even tried to get Robyn to work with Ironwood and Robyn was literally willing to do so. Which of course pissed off Ironwood stans that anyone, especially a POC hero of the people, would stand against a Cis White Male Authority figure. The elections in V7 meant that anyone’s authority could be challenged by the people. Of COURSE Ironwood stans REFUSE to acknowledge the election part was good.

The attempt to balance idealism with realism is pretty interesting. What do you do against an enemy with an unlimited army, immortality, and agents who seek to turn everyone against each other? Do you submit to the “inevitable?” Or do you keep fighting to the end, instead prolonging the end?

You can think of this as having borrowed a theme or two from dark souls!

RWBY is at the very least leaps and bounds beyond most anime it's close in genre with. I remember seeing, partially in jest, the idea that RWBY has half the fanbase it does for being an action anime with a female case and no fanservice and I think it might almost literally be true.

It is depressingly hard to find a decent action show with a female cast that doesn't sexualize them in gross ways. Even shows I like on the whole end up doing that.

Of course, the points regarding love are helped by the fact that a good chunk of the female cast is front and center in the story. They’re largely in the driver seat and aren’t secondary to any male titular protagonist. Thus you don’t get cases where a girl on the main cast is there to be… the girl.

In any other story, Oscar and/or Jaune  would be front and center. Heck, the three creators of RWBY are guys before their team grew so you’d think they’d “write what they know.” Yet they stick to their guns on having girls get shit done.

One Anime a person I know felt came close to this was, if you can believe it, Fairy Tail where Natsu might’ve been the prominent ass kicker but Erza is the one effectively leader the team, Wendy goes on an arc of learning to love herself and Lucy grows into the wizard that leads the charge against Acnologia.

Yet it sent mixed signals with how the girls (those of age) had designs that left little to the imagination. I can appreciate an artist honest in his horniness… but the Anime did something right when it came to Erza’s torture in Tartaros that helped sell the gravitas of the traumatic experience.

RWBY feels like the above but far more refined in execution. There’s a time and place for schlocky cheesecake but not when it clashes with the narrative and themes overall.

So tell me...without using Hbomberguys’ repeated false information about the “love triangle” or “self-insert” slander...how would YOU respectfully criticize RWBY?  How would you claim to be “a critic” yet still encourage people to watch RWBY? 

If you try to bring up Hbomb’s 2.5 hour hate video, then anyone who tries to claim that a video from 2 years ago no longer is relevant is just being hypocritical. (Looking at you, RWDE Apologist, you know who you are)

Oh, one more thing. RWBY seasons 1-3 were the weakest in terms of writing and animation. But even so, the fact of the matter is that anything that happened in those seasons are ignored by critics, theorists, and straight shippers.

Random hc but what if instead of the Vanserra brothers having their kids to a random villlage or the Forest house, the kids just show up at Lucien and Elain’s front door.

Like Sienna is wrapped up in a blanket and in a basket, clearly no more than 2 days old when Lucien walks out his front door to see this baby. There’s a note that only says “your brother can’t keep it in his pants around pretty court ladies” and it looks like his moms handwriting. He takes her in and he’s not sure which brother she belongs to until she starts wanting to learn to throw axes.

Then one day, when Sienna still little but old eno ic h to get in trouble his brother Conallis on his doorstep and before he can say anything two kids step out from behind him. One half tree nymph and the other blue skinned and rounded years. Conall only shrugs and says, “Beron won’t find them here”.

Before Lucien can say anything Elain is already sweeping the kids inside and now they are looking after a kid who Lucien is sure is trying to kill him with axes, and two who love to help Elain garden. He’s not sure if more will appear on his doorstep but he wouldn’t be surprised if a kid with white hair showed up because of Cadmus’s affairs after his Kallias heart break.

This is how Lucien starts to mend his relationship with his brothers because now they show up occasionally (without telling the holder their relation to them) and spend time with their kids and Lucien.

Okay but I am HIGH KEY obsessed with an Elucien foster family. I very much think Elain would be DELIGHTED to take in her sweet nieces and nephews without a word but Lucien is growing alarmed. He's like, hey babe, you know I can't say no to you but uh, these kids eat A LOT and you can only garden so fast. He doesn't know he's heir to Day Court yet and Lucien's not gonna lie, he sort of thought he'd have a solid 50 years of quiet with Elain before they got pregnant and brought young in.

And??? Lucien???? Is????? Particular????? About????? His????? Shit. And all these mini-Vanserra's are just LEAVING COLD DRINKS ON HIS WOODEN COFFEE TABLE?????? OR THROWING AXES IN THE HOUSE AROUND CADMUS' TODDLER??????? BARFING ON THAT RUG VASSA GAVE HIM FOR CHRISTMAS?????????

And Elain is like hey, you know I love you right but I need you to take a deep breath in through your nose (good job) and out through your mouth (incredible, you're amazing). Once Lucien is swaddled tightly in a blanket, Elain reminds him that children are messy and this is just good practice for when he's a father. And BESIDES, she coos sweetly, her head on his shoulder, think of how lucky these little Vanserra's are to grow up here instead of with Beron. If they're throwing things and being careless, it's only because they feel safe to do so.

And Lucien chills out after that. He DOES keep a color-coded chart on the fridge though, with the individual visiting schedules of his brothers because the last time Tanwen and Cadmus came at the same time, a non-minor fire erupted in the backyard.

Fans - esp fans of color and LGBTQIA+ fans - have constantly talked about how minority characters get sidelined in favor of the white LI faves. And no, this is not an issue specific to Open Heart, although that is the specific focus at this very moment, it’s something that’s been happening with a lot of their books, especially in recent years. To say that you didn’t see racism or act like people complaining is a new development is racist and at best, willful ignorance. 

Open Heart has a lot of characters of color, yes, but they also sidelined all of them in favor of Ethan and his storyline. If Raf dies like we’re all expecting him to now, where was the good writing in this? I’m legitimately wondering here - even if you don’t want to look at the problematic aspect of it, how about just from a writing standpoint. If a character shows up maybe once every few chapters, is with this random other person who we never heard about before, then tells MC he’s leaving and then dies....where exactly is the emotional payoff there? Deaths need to have meaning and impact and people who loved Raf will be upset but would it be written well? With the little amount of scenes that we’ve had with him, whether he was our LI or not? Why is it that out of LIs who’ve died, it’s Jax, Lily, and Raf (or possibly Kyra, who’s still a black woman)? Why is there not any option for Adrian to die? Or Ethan? Because it “makes sense” in the narrative that PB wrote? 

Esme is our intern and yet we’ve barely got to mentor her - when Ethan was our mentor, he was around us constantly, and stans defended it because it made sense, right? Why wouldn’t our attending be with us all the time? We’re learning from him! So why haven’t we been sharing a lot of time with Esme, haven’t been given the ability to bond with her more? Why do Bryce and Jackie (if she gets to show up) have storylines maybe every other chapter when PB remembers that they have one, why do we barely get to see Elijah and Sienna and have to go through tension with Aurora again, while Ethan is in every single chapter with more screentime and more diamond choices than the other LIs combined? 

We know all about forced LIs - Beckett was consistently called out as popping up all the time, Nate would have way more scenes in Sunkissed than Samson or Eliana. It happens consistently throughout multiple books and each time I see fans defending it as “relevant” to the story, while also simultaneously losing their shit if their white fave wasn’t featured prominently in one chapter. If you’re one of these people, I really want you to ask yourself - would you say the same thing if this was Beckett not showing up? If Ethan got killed off? If Adrian got killed off instead of Jax or Lily, would you have the same response? 

PB was also called out for making their antagonists to MC be  women - particularly dark-skinned black women - Xanthe (Acor), Ellen (WT), Aurora, twice (OPH), Victoria (RCD). This is a trend and an awful one. I haven’t even gone into how their covers have changed to be more white & straight over the years (even over the course of multiple books in a series, where you’d expect fans to realize they can keep their LIs, so why can’t we have Lily or a non-white Adrian on the cover of the BB series??), or how characters like Nadia or Lily are hated for being “annoying” and “cringey” while characters like Maxwell with the same personality are praised and loved. Or how even with MOTY making the simple of change of pointing out that Vanessa could be homophobic/racist based on MC, that people didn’t understand why she could be perceived that way. 

Fans have always been talking about this, and this has been a problem for a very long time, and to act like this is some new thing is disingenuous.

open heart headcanons.

scenario: how would the LIs ask MC to be their girlfriend/boyfriend?

Jackie Varma:

She would be very nervous. Plan everything out, to the smallest detail even.

She had been in relationships before, but this was different. You two were roommates, and on top of that, colleagues.

Would ask Sienna and Elijah’s help. Maybe even Bryce and Rafael’s. But that only on the day self.

Would take you to a restaurant out of town, because ‘What if MC says no,’

Had made the reservation weeks ago, picking a special date.

She’d have nervous ticks the whole date. Touching the cutlery multiple times, nervous laughs, trembling hands, etc.

Even ask you questions you knew she knew the answer to, making you smile.

At the end, she’d take you out to the restaurant’s balcony, overlooking the view of the city.

There, she’s asked you the question.

“You know how I feel about talking about my feelings. But I just... I want you to know I really, really like you. So, MC will you be my girlfriend/boyfriend?”

By the look on your face, she knew how you felt about her, but when you said yes, she was even happier.

Rafael Aveiro:

Nervous, but not as nervous as Jackie.

He had been bragging about you to Bryce every single day. To the point where Bryce himself almost wanted to ask you to be Rafael’s partner.

Bryce would put the idea into his head and even help him plan it out, although Rafael himself already had a whole plan.

He’d have such a fun night of activities planned out!!

First to one of those cheap 80s diners, then going to a movie you had said you wanted to see, and lastly to an arcade.

Would try to sneak the subject about relationships into the conversation, but still making sure you didn’t pick up on his plan.

Definitely the type to have one of those poloraid cameras and take lots of pictures!!

He’d choose to ask you at the top of the spinning wheel.

At the end, he’d hold your hand and look into yours eyes as he was about to ask you.

“I think it’s quiet obvious how I feel about you, even though we’ve had our fair share of struggles, but MC, will you be my girlfriend/boyfriend?”

Would wrap you up in his arms after you say yes and kisses you.

Bryce Lahela:

Not nervous, at all.

Until Rafael starts talking about nerves.

“Man, fuck. Now I am.” “Oops. Sorry, bro.”

He’d plan this hike and then a picknick at the top for you two.

Very thought out plan, he’d get both of your favorite foods and all.

Oh my god I imagine him trying to get you two to wear matching outfits!! Most likely blue, but I feel like he would settle for any pastel coloured theme.

Would be babbling about the most random shit the whole time, trying to keep his nerves calm. Not that it worked, but still.

He’d wait until the sunset looked absolutely perfect before asking. Like one of those pinkish coloured sunsets.

“MC, I want you to know that I really really really enjoy spending time with you, more than I enjoy spending time with myself, and trust me I like that quiet a lot. But that beside the point, what I wanted to ask you was, will you be my girlfriend/boyfriend?”

Would post one of those dramatic insta stories after you said yes, ‘On a hike with my GIRLFRIEND/BOYFRIEND.’

Ethan Ramsey:

Ethan was scared of losing you on that certain day, but his mind hadn’t even crossed the idea of making it official.

He knew you liked him as much as he liked you, and at the moment, that was more than enough for him.

Which is why he’d just invite you over to his house.

He’d cook a great meal for you, probably even your favorite, but he wouldn’t let you know thay he knew what that was.

After dinner, you two would be laughing in the kitchen while washing the dishes together when you made some joke about being complete couple goals.

That’s when he realised that you needed confirmation, which he would gladly give you.

You two overlooking the view of Boston from his appartment’s balcony, sipping on some expensive wine, when he looked over at you.

“MC, I never really thought that at my age I would say these words again, but will you be my girlfriend/boyfriend?”

Other than a kiss, he wouldn’t be a much over the top celebrator after you said yes.
