hello question about skyfish! do they taste better when fried or breaded? jkjk i just wanna know more about the story :>

oh man your joking question makes me wanna eat fish wwww! they'd probably taste banging both ways (i love fish)

it also made me think more about the distinctions between skyfish and regular normal fish, because the skyfish world does have regular normal so there should be some ways to tell the difference. currently i'm thinking that skyfish flesh tastes a lot sweeter? but it's something i'll work on in future for sure!

as for some info about the story (while keeping with the skyfish consumption theme): the hitter (who's STILL unnamed, it's a problem) was ostracised by many of his peers and their families during his early teens because he was spotted catching a skyfish to eat (he grew up in the undernarrows, where eating skyfish is pratically a taboo no matter how desperate one is).

in the hitter's personal opinion, if skyfish are the reincarnated dead and they're reincarnated back into humans after they fish-die, eating skyfish just hastens the speed at which the reincarnation cycle occurs, which isn't a bad thing (right?). food is food and he's down to eat pretty much anything as long as he doesn't go hungry.

anyways after the ostracisation and his father's death (whole other kettle of fish to go into www) he dropped out of school and moved away to work in the nightmarket, which is where he met and befriended spades (and the rest is history!)

I think it’s great that middle earth was saved by the power of friendship and love. I say it like that bc it’s funny but also like. If Frodo and Sam didn’t love each other so fiercely you know they wouldn’t have made it, power of love saves the day :)

not a day goes by that I don't think about how middle-earth was saved by tremendous amounts of love, persistent hope, and undying loyalty. there are things you can't do alone! and it's normal and good and this is how life works! jirt I love you so much!!

Just saw your posts about lotr daily in the tags, as someone who’s loved the story for over a decade now it’s so delightful seeing your experiencing it for the first time. It’s my first time reading the books but I’ve seen the movies countless times so I know a lot of what’s happened already and seeing you react to things I just assumed were already known is so great !! I hope you’re enjoying the books so far !

Ps you compared lotr to chronicles of Narnia. The authors were friends in real life! There’s even a character tree beard based off CS Lewis in lotr that we get to meet eventually, wayyyy down the line.

Doesn't look like a ladybug to me, I don't see a seam between the elytra. I'd say some kind of true bug nymph, but can't ID it properly without a location.

I’ve read some amazing stories and seen artwork that had A/B/O and vore, and man those authors DELIVER. Hours of meticulous details that could be mistaken for Venetian, just out there for the taking. Of course it isn’t for everyone, some of them may be cringe just on syntax. Hell, sometimes the content can be a bit much for me…..but if the story is good, and it’s a topic that sounds interesting, I’m willing to give it a shot.

A great, fluffy omegaverse story that’s gained lots of traction recently is “Tadaima Okaeri” a BL about two protags raising their biological child. It got so popular because the story is cute, easy to watch, and details a healthy relationship in a slice of life anime. Yet some people wouldn’t give it the time of day because “yucky kink is cringe”

Look, ye of little faith: nobody is forcing anyone to read or watch or view these mediums. But instead of judging a book by its cover, why not try a deep dive of the wiki, or read the synopsis, and see for yourself what treasures lie beneath the surface? Sure, it may be cringey as all hell, and make you regret viewing it. Or, it can be one of the best plots you’ve ever laid eyes upon💫

Being kink positive makes it really hard to be a hater of media rip. I used to love watching “the WORST book I’ve read this year” booktube videos but now its like I hear them ask, “Who is this werewolf smut even for?” Omegaverse fans, next question. “Why would you write this?” Because they find it sexy, can we stop focusing on the ewie yucky kink part and focus on the fact that the author used the word knot five times in a single scene? It’s bad werewolf erotica, but it’s not bad because it’s werewolf erotica like come on

I am on the edge of my seat for every entry thus far, even if I’m a day behind again. I knew the plots and I still yelled about Aragorn showing up at the last minute and how soft his heart is as soon as the battle is done. I think that may be one of my favorite scenes but it’s not an easy choice. Since it’d be mean to ask for just one lol what’s your favorite top 3 scenes in the series?

Okay, as for your question, I read it almost as soon as you sent it and have been trying to come up with an answer ever since akjhfkhkjf it's so hard to choose a small amount of favourite scenes from LOTR

In no particular order:

One of the favourites has to be Gimli asking for a strand of Galadriel's hair. The meaning this scene carries is huge! I love both Gimli and Galadriel in this scene, his tentativeness and love, and her generosity and willingness to help bridge this gigantic gap which exists between elves and dwarves. Also Lorien is where Legolas and Gimli start becoming close friends, and that's another reason why I love this period.

Reuniting with Bilbo in Many Partings makes me fucking SOB. This whole chapter in general makes me insanely emotional and I can't read it without tearing up multiple times, but something about Frodo getting to meet Bilbo again after the quest is done, and seeing Bilbo ageing so quickly without the Ring is just........ GOD. :'(((((((((((((((((((

Not a scene per se, but Legolas taking Gimli to Valinor has been living in my mind rent free even since I read LOTR for the first time.

Honestly I can't even say these are my top three because there are just too many scenes in LOTR that I absolutely love! There's Grey Havens, There's all of Pelennor Fields, there's Treebeard singing the Ents' song to try to remember if he knows what type of creature Merry and Pippin are, there's the Three Hunters following Merry and Pippin, there's the Breaking of the Fellowship, there's Eomer and Gimli being in love with Galadriel and Arwen, there's Eowyn and Faramir in the Houses of Healing, there's Sam seeing the fallen Harad soldier... (see, you can't ask me for three favourites because I'm gonna cheat and list 30 anyway saljhfkjdhfkjd)

So these are the three that came to my mind now, but I can't honestly say they are my top three because I genuinely don't know how to choose the very top LOTR scenes askjkdhkfjdh
