just wanted to let yuou know i woke up like 10-15 min ago, am not a monring person at all., but i saw your wall of scorpion posts and it made me laugh really hard i cant believe you sent her to the scorpion pit

when ryder ‘dies’ the second time on the archon’s ship the flashbacks are largely the same as the first time (though they’re narrowed down and interestingly there are some different angles this time!) except this scene: 

of something dropping to the floor and shattering and then ellen lying there unconscious while someone reaches out for her. presumably the event that preceded finding out she was ill? since this wasn’t in what I think was alec’s POV the first time around I’m guessing this is the player character’s memory specifically -- maybe alec wasn’t there that day? 

also the archon pauses meaningfully on the memory of alec and the twins stargazing together when he’s being ominous about finding out what makes humans tick, and boy HOWDY would I have loved to have some more proper ryder family interaction to support that. hashtag bring alec ryder back through remnant nonsense or whatever and force him to express a feeling to his children 2020, I need the emotional catharsis  

sidenote: the sheer long-suffering exhaustion of cora’s “not again” when ryder’s about to ‘die’ fasdhfskdhf. im sorry your pathfinders keep dropping like flies cora it’s really not your fault
