I could spend a lifetime studying how glazes run over different curves. I have been firing tea bowls tipped diagonally in the kiln to make the glaze run over the curve of the cup. #sideglaze has opened a new world of exploration for me. #sideglaze resulted in an AHA! moment this morning. The inside glaze started to treat the bottom of the cup like a vertical surface (because it was vertical in the kiln.) Obvious now, but I never thought about it before. Oh the ideas running around in my head!
