Do they realise who Koshei is and what he has done? He isnt some morally grey, misunderstood villain. This isn’t dark romantasy where its normal to ship the Villain.

Koshei is a tyrant. He kidnaps women and forces them to turn into birds. Just like the archerons experience with the cauldron, it is a form of SA. He takes their autonomy away. Leaving them helpess and bound to his lake.

As someone who enjoyed datv, the reasons I enjoyed it were completely removed from the vague "Dragon Age" aspect of it. Writing, pacing, characterization was all so weak compared to prior games. It is definitely hands down my least favorite da game but as a generic rpg, it was enjoyable to laugh at and I found a particular combat build that was fun in how OP it was. Kind of like a bad movie that you like, not because there was anything good about it, just happened to enjoy yourself while watching it. All that to say, I fully understand the opinions that it sucks and they are completely valid! I agree it is not good in any way but at least I got some enjoyment out of it. (Also good luck the last 3rd of the game took me FOREVER to do I swear it took longer than the first 2/3s took 😭 )

and that's completely valid anon!! honestly there are sooooo many different medias that I really like despite knowing they are arguably bad, but that hasn't stopped me from enjoying them!! I will say, I do actually enjoy the combat of datv - but combat is usually not one of the aspects that's really important to me in rpgs so it's not enough to keep me invested or motivated ;_;

with that being said, i don't think it's a horrible game! i definitely had some expectations and they were not met, so i'm disappointed... but that will definitely not stop me from continuing to consume anything related to DA! i think the only thing that's keeping me from totally giving up on datv is that i want - nay, i need more answers... but also emmrich lmfao THAT MAN! i need to know more about him!!
