what has momina said about feminism? also what do you think if her? Personally, i think she's kinda overrated :/
Initially, I was really happy when Momina’s career started with Afreen Afreen because it was another female in a male-dominated industry who was talented and pretty. I really like her as a singer, i enjoy all her songs (i know she hasn’t written any of them but her voice is A+).
She’s a little strange to me because she immediately became engaged after her coke studio debut and said im getting engaged because of the attention I’m getting and my parents thought this was a good idea from the un-wanted attention (poorly misquoted). ???????? what?????? why hold your fans accountable for the attention you are receiving and then cashing-in on the popularity with this news. Secondly, when the news became public about her broken engagement, she decided to justify herself. I think this is a big mistake celebrities make, you owe no one an explanation. it was a mess from my limited pr perspective.
Her whole i’m just a quiet nice girl persona seems fake to me sometimes. In a Siddysays interview, she goes I liked to dress up to classes to show off that a girl is present. For a person who claims they don’t want the attention sure loves boasting about her looks and how much she likes to dress up. This might just be me but it gives me the i love the attention but i’m gonna pretend to be humble type of thing.
Momina may be strategic or I may be thinking too deeply into this but her instagram posts of her dining at international restaurants piss me off because her captions are like eating this but missing my Pakistani food. I think its strategic because knowing how possessive and proud Pakistani’s get, i feel it gives her brownie points from the audience and she cashes in on that desiness sentiment.
MORE IMPORTANTLY: Momina says she’s not a feminist which is very dumb of her. Momina has said she wants to inspire young girls to sing and follow their dreams. She has also been in PSAs about domestic violence women face. Why is she doing all of this when women don’t deserve the same amount of respect as men? Clearly there is a discrepancy between the way men and women are treated that you need to create these PSAs. She’s really confused to say the least.
But then we have the whole “Qandeel Baloch is not an epitome of women empowerment. If anything, she was portraying the opposite: the only asset a woman has is her body.” What kind of a privileged women-hating statement is that? Why shouldn’t she be allowed to use her body to empower others and herself? Women are told what their limits are by society, while she thinks being a singer is not vulgar, in a different household a girl is probably not allowed to walk outside her home without a dupatta and a male escort. Everyone’s definition of empowerment/freedom is different. And that’s why we have to encourage all types of female empowerment because at the end of the day, it’s the men who have created these restrictions. Qandeel Baloch was empowering women to make their own decisions/choices to do whatever they want with their bodies. to me, that’s empowerment.
Also, even if she disagreed with Qandeel Baloch’s lifestyle, we can’t ignore that she was a victim of honor killing (something mainly done to women, yet we don’t need feminism). by making your tweet more about her lifestyle, you ignore the bigger picture that women LITERALLY get killed for doing what they want to do.
I love that Humaima and Dua Malik called her out for her selective feminism because Momina came at Mahira Khan’s defense for choosing to live her life as she wanted. yet accused Qandeel Baloch of using her sexuality as a selling point/product (btw Momina is using her voice as a product just pointing out the hypocrisy). like momina do you not see how both Mahira and Qandeel were victims of harassment and sexism.

HUAWEI Y9s Poised to Become another Y Series Bestseller in Pakistan
The latest entrant of Huawei’s phenomenally successful Y Series, the HUAWEI Y9s was launched at a media gathering. Following the trend of delivering feature-packed devices with stylish designs, the HUAWEI Y9s joins the series as yet another smartphone in the mid-range segment that promises a breathtaking display and spectacular camera nestled in a powerful smartphone.
The HUAWEI Y9s delivers a truly immersive experience thanks to its power-packed features like a 6.59-Inch FHD+ Ultra FullView Display, a true 48MP Triple AI Camera and 16MP pop-up AI front camera. The smartphone also comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage (expandable to 512GB). This time around, Huawei has gone above and beyond to bring its flagship design and features to the HUAWEI Y9s such as a premium glass body in the Breathing Crystal variant. Pre-orders for the smartphone will begin from Saturday, 30 November and go till Friday, 06 December 2019.
The celebrations kicked off early with an intimate lunch with product reviewers and Huawei Experience Ambassadors (HEA). After lunch, the guests were taken for a photo walk at Lahore Fort, Sheesh Mahal, Shah Burj Gate Picture Wall, Hazuri Baagh and Diwan-e-Aam. It was led by HEAs Amjad Nawaz, Areesh Zubair, Izzah Shaheen Malik, Mustafa Ali and Mavikh Azam where they put the 48MP Triple AI rear camera and 16MP Pop-up AI front camera to test. Various AI modes like Blue Sky, Ancient Building and Greenery were explored along with the 120O Ultra Wide Angle & Macro modes. The location made for a perfect place to try different camera settings by the reviewers.
Back at the hotel, a live unboxing session for the HUAWEI Y9s was held with leading technology blogger Bilal Munir of VideoWaliSarkar and lifestyle influencer Amna Niazi of SiddySays. The main event began with a speech from Huawei’s Country Manager Mr. Scott Huang in which he shed light on the stellar performance of Huawei in Q3 2019. He said: “In Q3 2019, we clinched a market share of 18.6%, securing our position as the second-biggest smartphone manufacturer in the world. Despite all the odds, our global smartphone shipments in 2019 have already crossed the 200 million mark by 22 October – a feat that we achieved 64 days earlier than in 2018.”
Speaking about the smartphone, he added: “The HUAWEI Y Series is a global consumer favorite – selling more than 200 million units globally over the last few years. Today, we are introducing a new member to the HUAWEI Y Series family, the HUAWEI Y9s. I am sure that upon the continuous love of our consumers for the HUAWEI Y Series in Pakistan, it will be another top pick by them!”
The audience then witnessed a product presentation followed by an announcement by Mr. Faisal Malik, Director – Commercial at Daraz.pk who revealed the grand opening of Huawei’s Flagship Store on Daraz.pk on 30 November 2019. People can also book their online pre-orders through Daraz.pk from 30 November to 06 December 2019.
The launch event was a glitzy affair with many renowned media houses, influencers, technological bloggers, Huawei guests and Huawei Experience Ambassadors in attendance. The celebration concluded with dinner and an exclusive session with Mr. Scott where he addressed the media about Huawei’s future projects, its vision and current plans for the Pakistani market.

scrolling through your awesome tumblr and saw that you have done exposes on celebrities, what are your thoughts on Sadaf Kanwal? I think she's a great model but, in terms, of personality she really should get brought back down to earth. On snapchat, she made fun of Alia Bhatt's singing and she's liked posts ridiculing her costar's acting in Balu Mahi, while praising her acting, and how she acted around her father's death gave me bad vibes too, but if you have positive things about her, do tell!
-sigh- yeahhhhhhh
I agree with you 100%, i think she has a foot in mouth situation going on. I saw her interview on SiddySays, where Sadaf said she wouldn’t wanna work with Faysal Qureshi (aka one of the biggest leading actors in Pakistan) because he’s too “bhai-type”. She also mentions that she’s very blunt, but fails to realize you haven’t made a mark in the acting world yet so it better that you lead with being diplomatic and inoffensive before people start rejecting you. Also, its very trashy that she starts dissing and blaming her co-actors for the failure of Balu Mahi and wants all this praise when again this is her first ever acting job. Oh and she said she was pissed when she was hardly on the cover and trailer of Balu Mahi. But its like the main movie actors are Osman Khalid Butt and Ainy Jaffri so why are you deserving of all the recognition when you just started and they have a fan-following that the marketing team could use. As for the positives, her work, she’s a terrific model but i think she should let others praise her rather than praising herself.

#HairToday #Diaries What to do when your definition of Blonde is different from your colorist’s? ⚠️ A situation faced by many, and here’s what Ali suggest: It’s extremely important to plan the look with your stylist, and so, A CONSULTATION IS THE KEY‼️ 🤚Take the time to thoroughly communicate with your stylist and make sure you and your stylist are on the same page before you commit. - 📸 Visual aids really help in conveying what you have in mind in terms of tone, temperature and placement of the color. -💇♀️Discuss the history of your hair in detail to explore the possibilities while understanding the technical limitations that may apply to your hair. -🤷♀️Consider your lifestyle and discuss how much time and effort you’re ready to invest daily in maintaining the look. -💁♀️Understand if the look you desire is high or low maintenance and what you can expect in terms of touch ups and salon visits for the future. . .
