Panic Attack Starters

An alarm shrieked overhead as he ran through the dark halls. He had to save someone. But he could hear the other shadows moving faster than he could. They would get there first. Even as he reached out to grab one, his fingers came away ashy.

The gunshot cracked through the air. Beeping, loud. The banging and shrieks from the incinerator were deafening as flames blazed in front of him.

He tried to apologise but couldn't breathe. A shadowy figure approached the bed as he lay drenched in sweat and agony coursing through his body.

Mike shot up in bed, clawing at his throat and fighting back bile. His gut was in knots. He could make out his room through the darkness. He was just grateful Aya had yet to come to bed. Maybe he could fix this before she did.

He tried to run through his methods to calm down. But no amount of breathing exercises helped. If he didn't know what this was, he would have mistaken it for a heart attack.

He fought the panic attack as specks of light floated across his vision.

Mike reached for Aya like she was his liferaft when she arrived. It should have ended when Sid died. Why was it back now?

‘I’m fine,’ he said as if trying to convince Aya. But he didn’t let go.

Recommendation: I love a good outside POV and this is such a fun one! Sid and Claude and all the shenanigans of the bubble playoffs in Hotel X. There is a high likelihood that you will squeal because you recognize your fav doing something super dumb and going unnamed because the narrator, who works on the hotel front desk, does not know who these people are and does not want to. But it’s the middle of the pandemic and there is literally nothing to do except follow their shenanigans.

Waves

Another surprisingly another chill week. 

Really nothing much to write about. I just had a lot of mood swings this week. A lot of happy moments at work, then a sudden moment of anxiety and/or loneliness comes with it. It is what it is. Though I think I did a good job hiding that anxiety and loneliness from people around me, which is good. 

The protein store where I’m ordering my protein finally had restocked their products so I was able to order. 

I forgot to mention but probably a week or two weeks ago, I started watching some romance films. I’ve watched Sid and Aya, Kung Paano Sya Nawala, and Chungking Express this week. 

Today was both Mother’s Day and the wedding anniversary of my parents. I would’ve bought them food to celebrate but they already bought food yesterday so I just bought two cakes to celebrate each occasion. 

This upcoming week probably be busy as the action plan will be this week. I’ll also be missing her this week, both literally and figuratively, I guess, as she has travel for work. Then the week after that, it will be my turn as I’ll be going to Ifugao for a work-related project. 

So help me God.

Si Sid hindi makatulog, Si Aya naman hindi pwedeng matulog.

Naghahanap ng makakausap si Sid, naghahanap naman ng pagkakakitaan si Aya. Ang trabaho ni Sid ay ang pasahurin si Aya sa paglilibang sa kanya at ang trabaho naman ni Aya ay ang libangin si Sid hanggang matapos ang tatlong oras. Si Aya ang ‘black swan’ ni Sid, ang isang bagay na hindi niya nakitang dumating ngunit nagpabago sa kanyang buhay sa mga paraang hindi niya naisip. Dahil kay Aya, tinulungan siya nitong malampasan ang mahabang gabi, mapangiti, at magkaroon ng dahilan para ayusin ang buhay. Isa lang naman ang gusto ni Aya, ang makapunta sa Japan para makasama ang kaniyang nanay. Matagal ng nakapag-desisyon si Aya na kapag siya ay naka-ipon, pupuntahan niya ang kanyang nanay sa Japan at dun na mag-trabaho. Ngunit, naging mahirap ang pagde-desisyon niya dahil nariyan si Sid. Wala naman ibang bagay na pwedeng bitawan si Aya, tanging si Sid lang. Madami siyang responsibilidad, hindi lang ang sarili niya kundi ang pamilya niya.
