#sick bakugo

I wholeheartedly believe that Bakugo never calls off of work when he’s sick, and he’s stubborn as hell about it. He could be hacking up a lung, running a fever, sneezing every other minute and still haul his ass to work.

When Bakugo’s an intern/sidekick fresh out of UA at his first agency, his mentor demands he goes home to rest the one or two times a year he’s too sick to function.

“Dynamight, go home. You’re not at your best, go sleep it off. One day isn’t gonna kill ya to make sure you’re in top shape.”

The first time it happens when you’re together is both comical and frustrating. Bakugo devolves from a twenty something and into the equivalent of the child who refuses to drink the grape flavored medicine, claiming he doesn’t need “artificial shit” to feel better. In the same breath, he’s physically sweating buckets and can’t go without coughing for more than a few minutes at a time.

You have to force him to take a hot shower, standing in the bathroom with him to be sure he doesn't pass out. He complains the whole time, but Bakugo doesn't stop you from caring for him. He kinda likes that you don't need him to ask for help, you just do it on your own.

A bowl of soup, plenty of meds and a full tissue box later, he's snuggled up in your lap, passed out under a blanket peacefully.

You save the "I told you so" conversation for the next day, but for now, you let him rest.

katsuki hates black coffee. it's so obvious it's almost painful. the face he makes when it's done brewing, the way it takes him taking a deep breath and chugging the entire thing in one go to finish and the deep, deep sigh he let's out afterwards.

it's obvious, too obvious. you know it, he knows it.

but he insists on drinking it every single day.

every morning he makes it exactly the same and you just cannot understand why. and you're determined to find out.

today you're both off work. it's been happening less frequently and you couldn't be happier to spend time with your man today. he must've been dead tired, because you woke up before him and his alarm, that he has even though he always manages to wake up before it rings, so you sneakily turn it off and escape from his bear like grip to sneak to the kitchen.

like the great, amazing, loving partner you are, you decide to make him breakfast in bed. you know that despite him not liking overly sweet foods, he still likes him some sugar. you make him pancakes like you know he likes, a family recipe you still haven't told him. you know it's a bit petty, but if he found out he'd probably be able to replicate them to a t immediately and you like taking care of him, and you like the feeling that bubbles in your chest when he groans happily when the food hits his tastebuds and he gobbles it up.

your secret stays safe with you for now.

tray in hand and returning to your bedroom, you're surprised but definitely happy to see him still asleep when you're done. you smile, he truly does deserve the rest after all the work he'd done. you place the tray onto your night stand, running your hands over his eyebrows and slowly running over his messed up hair, thumbing at his hairline. his eyebrows slowly furrow as he tries to lean into it, cheek smudged against the pillow.

"baby.." you sing, katsuki grumbles, shoving his head into his pillow.

"katsuki.." you giggle, running your hand over his back to ease him into waking up. he flips around in an instant, raising an arm up and stretching, his other arm reaches for yours. you give it to him, he squeezes your hand and runs his other one through his hair.

"hi.." you chirp sweetly, katsuki grunts in response, squeezing your hand again in greeting.

"..how long've you been up ?" he asks, voice still deep and gruff from just waking up.

"about an hour.." you respond quietly, easily talking and not in a rush for once. katsuki's eyebrows furrow in confusion and his head whips towards his phone, grabbing it and checking his alarm that had been mysteriously turned off. he turns to squint at you and you giggle, he pinches your thigh and mutters out a "dummy.."

he sniffs the air when he registers the smell of pancakes, and his head quickly zips over to the tray you'd placed there for him. his ears turn pink "you didn't have to do this." you notice how he refrains from adding an affectionate insult towards the end of his sentence, you laugh.

"i know, but i wanted to. now eat up before it gets cold !" you grinned. katsuki sighs, a soft smile pulling at his face before he ducks his head, grabbing the tray and placing it in his lap. his eyes close the moment he gets a bite and your heart beats hard against your chest.

"you seem to be enjoying that." you say cheekily.

" 'm gonna get that recipe outta you one day." he vowed, pointing his fork at you, he groans when he gets another bite "so fuckin' good.." he mutters to himself between bites. you chortle.

after swallowing a few bites in silence, katsuki smacks his lips before he talks again "you just gonna watch me eat ?"

"i'm liking this view," you respond, leaning against your hand and sighing dramatically. katsuki rolls his eyes, an unmistakable blush crosses his cheeks before he's beckoning you over with a 'come here' motion, picking a piece of pancake onto his fork and placing a hand underneath the other as he brings it closer to your lips. "open up," he orders, and you do, tasting your work. you hum happily, and he watches you intently as you do. his eyes drift over to the mug still untouched on the nightstand.

a mug of coffee. black.

he frowns almost immediately, you don't need to look away to know why. you see how he tries to fix his face immediately, you assume so as not to hurt your feelings, your heart warms just a bit more. but you can't help but tease him.

"better drink it before it gets cold.." you sing, trying to sound unbothered. katsuki's grunt borders on a whine as he places his tray to the side. he picks up the mug, making sure to scowl at the black liquid inside, he inhales, before gulping it up quickly.

only to stop, eyebrows furrowing curiously at the flavour.

"it's--"

"good ?" you smile knowingly, you lean back a bit, pressing your legs to your chest and wrapping your arms around your legs. you swing slightly side to side.

katsuki slowly blinks at you "what d'you.."

"i put some sugar in it." you admit, you see how katsuki's face drops, eyebrows flying to his hairline. "katsuki, we both know you don't like it plain black. i don't see why you can't just have some sugar in it." you shrug "i know you've got your diet, but it won't kill you."

he leans back, shrinking into the headboard like he'd been caught committing a crime. his lips pull up into a frown.

"i know that, that's not the problem.." he downs the rest of his drink and he sighs afterwards, it almost sounds like a sigh of relief. it makes you snort. "then what is ?"

"i dunno..hadn't had it in a while and figured i'd try it again, see if i like it."

"but you clearly don't."

"i'd get used to it then." he shrugs.

"katsuki.." you sigh, "you don't have to, you know. nothin' wrong with a little sugar." you tease. honestly, you found it cute. you know he's stubborn and he doesn't give up, even against his own body. you'd seen it happen multiple times, but with something so simple as black coffee was pretty funny.

you think, maybe, he's trying to be more grown up. you remember he tried black coffee back in high school and hated it so bad it ruined his mood for the entire day. maybe, he thought he should like it now since he's graduated and he's an adult. it was sweet, just like how he liked his coffee. and it was so him. you want him to know he doesn't have to change a thing, he's perfectly okay and adult as he is now, coffee plain or sugary. with cream or without or with a sweet treat from the bakery next door.

"course i know that." he mutters after a while, smacking his lips when the taste of his coffee still lingers on his tongue. he places it and the tray back on the nightstand. he grabs your hand, pulling you closer to have you sit in his lap. "so come give me some." he smirks at your flustered expression. one hand reaches the back of your neck to pull you closer, his other hand at the small of your back for the same purpose.

"you just ate and you still haven't brushed your teeth, mister." you run your finger in circles over his chest. he gets hot quickly in the night so he likes to sleep shirtless, your hand runs over the shape of the scar on his shoulder. katsuki snorts, sharp teeth on display as he smirks.

"so ? you know you always wanna kiss me." and he smirks because he knows he's right. you huff, but lean down to kiss him anyway, muttering a quick "shut up," before silencing him. he snickers against your mouth and it doesn't take him long to deepen the kiss, you squeal when he flips you over, laying you right back in bed.

"thanks for breakfast." he says against your lips, leaning back in before you could respond "you're not gettin' away anymore, though. you're gonna spend the day here with me, where you're supposed to be." he drops onto you and you let out an "oof !" at the pro hero mass dropped onto you. you grip his shoulders as he kisses from your cheek to your ear.

"d'you like breakfast ?" you breathe out.

"you know i did, don't make me say it again." he grunts out, biting your cheek when you giggle "now i'd like to spend some time with my girl." he mumbles against your shoulders, voice muffled. you giggle, bring his head up to press your lips to his again.

and they taste sweet, just how you like them.

Katsuki Bakugou x Reader "Let me, you idiot"

Time: 11:22pm and I have a fever of 100.4 so I'm writing. If you are sick, rest, eat light, drink water, teme meds if you can! Always prioritize your health!! Requests are open

Slight trigger warning for: passing out

You woke up feeling like you had been hit by a bus and your phone buzzing on the pillow next to you. 2 miss calls and 4 text. From katsuki and 5 from your mom.

You called back your mom first only to be greeted by screaming asking why you weren't checked into school yet. Before you even thought of anything to say to here you felt a wave come over you lean down throwing up in the trash can next to your bed. you lean back over hanging up without saying a word to your mom. And text Katsuki you'd be late and you just overslept.

It was probably just you overusing your quirk again right? It had to be.

After a few painful minutes of getting ready, you walk into class not even bothering to apologize just slumming down into your slumming desk and placing your head down. Luckily for you your teacher was also late per usual. You hear Iida attempting to lecture you but before you could process anything your mind went blank as you put your head down on the desk.

You wake up to a hand lightly shaking you. Picking your head up, rubbing your eyes you see Katsuki "Damn you look like shit. Are you sure you should be here? " You roll your eyes standing up, feeling a wave of dizziness you grab the table for balance, holding yourself upright until it leaves. "Woah the hell happened" you look over at him saying nothing grabbing his hand and walk to you next class.

Training came around and the soup you had for lunch seemed to help a bit but you still felt shitty and like it was only getting worse. Pushing through you walked up to Katsuki pulling on his shirt feeling your body become unsteady.

He turns around seeing your unsteady form and grabs your shoulders. You feel your eyes get heavy and faintly hear the sound of Katsuki urging you to keep your eyes open.

When you wake up you are in Recovery Girls office with a towel over your forehead and your boyfriend on his phone next to you. "Katsu?" You mumble attempting to get up but ultimately laying back down because of the headache. "Dummy, you shouldn't have come if you felt this bad" you look up at him seeing the worry plastered around his face. "I thought it was gonna go away" you say shifting towards him. "Well it didn't and it got worse. You're going back to the dorms to rest idiot." Before you can protest he's picking you up and carrying you out of the room "katsu- put me down!" You say squirming around "absolutely not you'll fall over because of how weak your body is"

When you get back to the dorms and into your room Katsuki places you down on the bed leaving the room for a few minutes. When he returns he has a tray with a cup of medicine bowl and vitamin water. "Eat as much as you can but take all the medicine brat. " He says folding his arms looking away. You can still see a bit of worry on his face.

"Sorry if I.. Scared you. Kat"

"it's whatever just take care of yourself idiot.

This was shorter than I wanted but I had an idea and decided to finish this before starting another one!

deku x reader - succession!au, uhhhhh............... deku has a thought abt parenthood. it's bad.

(warning - short, talk of pregnancy but no actual gender of reader mentioned, mild talk of stds, drugs, sleeping around.... etc.?)

“I want a baby,“ your boss, Deku, the near-CEO of media conglomerate AllMightco, says randomly one day, halfway through your lunch break (that he demanded you spend with him), and in the middle of your well-earned silence after a long conversation about whether Bakugo needs antidepressants.

You can only gape at his words, close but not too close to where he’s seated at one of the little armchairs he has in his office for any business casual meetings that require somewhere cozy to sit in spite of any fighting words that may be spit (and for fucking, you’re rather quite aware).

“Maybe it’d be… good for me. I love kids and, I think, I think,” he continues, stuttering like he always does when he’s nervous, excited, high, his tone questioning despite his making of it a statement. “it would give me a break from work?”

All you can do is laugh at the question, dryly, in disbelief, unsure of whether he’s being serious or just sharing some secret, wistful dream. You decide to tell him the truth either way.

“You can’t have a baby just because you want time off.”

He ignores you, though.

“I have all this money, and what for…?” he waves his shaky hands, “I could have a family. I’d change diapers and buy toys and take them to the beach.”

(Though just last week, he was fighting the board for more funds, screaming in that raspy voice he always develops after working through the night that he’d give up any and all vacation time for the foreseeable future if it meant keeping Toshinori Yagi in a position, any position, at the company for the next five years.)

You throw your laptop aside and stand up from your wilted salad and grapefruit soda that’s now sweating on the coffee table to walk around the edges of his desk. You throw a leg over one sharp corner, the exposed part of your ankle brushing his knee as you address him directly.

“And who would be having this child, Deku?“ you ask. “An ex? A surrogate? Ocha—“

He gives you those eyes, slouching down into himself, reaching out to pull your butt of his table and grip the back of your thighs to pull you in between his legs. You can feel the length of his overgrown green curls brushing your fingertips as you put your hands on his stiff shoulders to keep yourself from falling right into him.

“Me? Izuku,” you clarify, (though you always call him Deku), “me? What do you think? I’m just gonna say yes, no warning, no nothing? We’re not even dating, sweetie.”

—and just last week Kirishima offered to drive you to the clinic with him to tested, though you’re not going to bring that up now, even if you know Deku already knows you’re sleeping around. He is too.

He closes his eyes, resting the back of his head against the heavy, red leather of his office chair. The stubble on his face is more noticeable than ever; he even has a little knick under his chin from shaving, and you move to brush your thumb against it as he swallows thickly.

“I’m just tired,” he says, blinking his dark lashes into the bags under his eyes,

“I know, baby. But a child is not way to fix that” you say. The for anyone part, you just think.

Deku pouts. He sighs. Then his face relaxes and he sags, his hands falling off you to lay limp in his lap, the silence in the room stretching like salt water taffy from the pier.

TENYA IIDA

I feel like Tenya would be extremely caring with you, maybe he would lecture you a little bit because you didn't used the correct protection and got sick, but regardless he would be there for you, mostly bringing you what they learned on the class that day or the homework you will need to do for later if you weren't able to go to class or if he noticed that you were sick and told the teachers to allow you to go rest at your house/dorms.

As a partner I think he would refuse to kiss you for some time when he sees you (if you have something like the flu) but would give in anyways and will definitely get sick after you start to feel better.

He would be there next to you though, as a friend or partner, making sure you have enough meds to get better and that you take them at the right hours.

KATSUKI BAKUGO

Honestly I feel like Bakugo would play it cool like if he didn't really cared about you being sick but wouldn't stop thinking about it. The moment he heard that you weren't assisting to class because you didn't felt well he tried to learn more about what was wrong in his own way.

As a partner he would definitely lecture you for not taking well enough care of yourself and would present himself as annoyed having to take care of you, however he would do it without you even asking, Bakugo would take care of whatever you have to do and will make sure you get enough rest no matter what.

I feel like even though he shows that he's annoyed he's mostly worried about you, and as you rest he will be there looking out for you, maybe even caressing your hair or giving you a soft kiss on the forehead as you sleep since he's actually worried about your health and only want you to be in your best condition.

IZUKU MIRODILLA

I feel like Deku would be the most open about how worried he is about you, if you weren't in class he would ask everyone if they knew what happened to you, he would text or call you to ask if you're okay and let you know that he's there for you.

Either as a partner or friend I feel like he would take some time either from lunch or just in the between of classes to come and see you at your dorm and check that everything is okay.

After class he would run to come and check more on you, passing for a store first buying you some medicine and your favorite snacks for you to feel better.

I feel like he wouldn't really care if he gets sick too as long as you feel comfortable and happy with him. He would watch movies with you, get in the bed with you to hold you and caress your head to comfort you and let you know that he will be there and that everything will be fine.

KIRISHIMA EIJIRO

I feel like Kirishima would be another one who is very open about being worried about you. He would definitely go check on you and probably would bring some other friends too like Uraraka or so just so you notice that they really care about you.

Either as a friend or partner he would keep you company to make you feel better, I feel like he would play games with you or just do whatever to cheer you up so you feel better and more happy.

He would not really be scared of getting sick cause he takes pride in his good health, even though, he would probably catch a little bit of a cold after for not really caring of it.

I honestly just feel like he would be a ray of sunshine in your dark day and would even make you forget that you were feeling bad about being sick

URARAKA OCHACO

I feel like Uraraka would be one of the best people to take care of you while being sick, not only would she be extremely caring but will help you with everything.

I feel like she would make you tasty soups and other foods to help you feel better. She would make sure you are getting enough nutrients in your food to start to feel better and will make sure you stay hydrated.

I feel like as a partner she would do anything to make you feel good even though she's definitely easy to get sick too she wouldn't care and would absolutely get in the bed with you to cuddle and comfort you making you feel like everything is okay.

Bakudeku fic idea: 5+1 fic where 5 times bakugo was kidnapped and or hurt to mess with Izuku, and Izuku had to save him. And the one time Izuku was kidnapped and or hurt to mess with Bakugo and Bakugo had to save him. God I wish I could write this. But anyone else is open to this idea if they want. But people you need to utilize more of the fact that bakugo gets kidnapped a lot. Especially with the last episode light fades to rain. Is Bakugo still a badass. Yes absolutely. But I like that he is a bad ass that keeps being damseled. And like the strong he gets, the harder and more messed up he'll get when someone some how manages to get the drop on him. Meaning how more pissed of protective fearl Deku will get on someone's ass for hurting his Kacchan.
