On Instagram I see old country houses in Sicily and I understand that they have been recently renovated, because they have a strong country character. In reality the ancient Sicilian country houses that have continued to be inhabited by the same family over the centuries have been enriched by a very particular style: outside, beautiful small Italian gardens mixed with Arab gardens. Inside, old-fashioned English taste mixed with vibrant Sicilian colors and family objects. I love these houses that I find much more authentic than many houses with walls now painted with worn effect and furniture bought ad hoc to create an ancient peasant style that in reality is not authentic.
