Typical mischaracterisation stuff n whatever aside. I don't like when people go "the implied/canon ships in game are member 1&2 and 3&4 of every unit”. Wrong. This only applies to 2 canonically, maybe 3 or 4 depending on how you look at them. Leo/need attack.

Disregarding my own biases for a second. On one hand this idea is just annoying and on the other hand it’s just incredibly reductive of the writing and relationships presented in game. Like yeah sure the 1x2 3x4 ships for mmj and vbs are implied if not outright canon, but that doesn’t apply to the other 3 units (i mean it kinda applies to niigo but I don’t think knmf mzen have to have a romantic reading) and it’s very easy to tell. Like at the end of the day the game is about friendship anyway so why does it matter. Like the writing of relationships in this game is not done off a system lmao stop trying to make everything about shipping. The lineups mean fuckall play literally any other idol game.

I kinda came up with this as a joke but Hinomori dad was a guitarist in a band. Hoshino dad used to be a lyricist and guitarist. Did they know each other and does this link into how Ichika and Shiho met.

Also I think Shuuta and Shouta Hayashi are related. We are literally never going to find out if this is true. It’s canon to me specifically.

hello!!! i was wondering, outside of the "playable" siblings, which characters have siblings that they've talked about/we've seen before?

Honami has a younger brother (age unknown). He is not named and rarely mentioned, and as far as i remember he has never appeared in any stories (unvoiced/no L2D obviously)

Minori has a younger brother in elementary school (6-12 years old). He is unnamed and doesn't have a L2D model, but has some unvoiced dialogue

Airi has a younger sister and an older sister. The younger sister is probably quite close in age to her given her interactions with a 7-ish year old Airi. I don't recall the older one ever appearing. Neither is named but the younger sister has unvoiced dialogue.

Toya has two older brothers. One is a professional musician (age unknown) and one is studying music at a conservatoire in New York (~19-early 20s). They might've gone to boarding school when they were younger and were never really present in Toya's life. They are not named and have not appeared in the story.

Emu has two brothers who are significantly older than her and work managing PXL (Keisuke, ~31 & Shousuke, ~28), and an older sister (Hinata, ~21) who is in college

Mizuki has an older sister called Yuuki (22) who is studying at university in France

Rakunosuke had an older brother. He is presumably dead.

Every other MC is an only child or their sibling is another MC. NPC-wise, there's the Kotakis and the Yoshizakis. Kotaro has a much younger brother who is still a toddler. Sakurako is confirmed to be an only child, but other than that there's no confirmation for anyone (a lot of them are probably only children though). As far as I remember, no one is stated to have an aunt or uncle either.

The movie night Taniyama had pleaded for indeed took place. It was Hayashi's turn to host (they rotated) so the three boys were huddled together around his laptop screen to watch the film he picked.

Hibiki had already fallen asleep about an hour in. He'd seen this movie before. So had Hayashi and Taniyama, but they were the types to try and pick out new information on a second watch. As the credits start to roll, Taniyama leans against Hayashi.

"Still just as damn good at the first watch, hehe!~" he says brightly. He nudges the side of his head against Hayashi's shoulder, sighing out of his nose. "But it's always more fun watching stuff with you guys."

Are there any characters that canonly have bad eyesight/glasses? Like ik kohane wears glasses in one of her untrained cards, but is that canon or is that just for the card's aesthetic?

I'm assuming you haven't read VBS main story because Kohane wears glasses for a decent chunk of that and switching to contacts is part of her character development (to appear more confident). She wears them in her woao untrained because it was late at night and she would've taken them out by then.

KAITO in School SEKAI has glasses as part of his original outfit and is shown wearing them to read sheet music, though the glasses were removed post-3rd anniversary. None of the other MCs need glasses, but Haruka and occasionally Airi wear fake ones when out and about to avoid being spotted. In terms of side characters, there's Keisuke, Mafuyu's dad, Reki, Sakaki, the More More House Landlady, and Hiiragi who all wear glasses. There's also Hibiki Miyake, Shuuta Hayashi, and Tomomi Ohara who don't have Live2D models but are illustrated with them.

Wait... The three NPC guys from Pandemonium have given names?? I've only ever known them as Miyake, Hayashi and Taniyama :0

Yeah!! their given names were revealed on the promotional posters for the third anniversary, which were styled like class lists. here's the kamikou one for example.

Some bonus trivia: Hibiki is in 3-A (21st on the list), Ibuki in 3-B (13th on the list), and Shuuta in 3-C (18th on the list). Ayumi from Retie Friendship was also given a family name via the miyajo version of this poster, that being Tabata.

ahhh I'm really sorry to ask this but I'm really confused . .. Taniyama's first name is Ibuki, right? I've been calling him Shuuta this entire time and I just now realized from another post of yours that it says Ibuki Taniyama... NPC names are so confusing.. I hate them..

Yeah it's Ibuki Taniyama and Shuuta Hayashi. It can be kinda hard to remember because the first names are never mentioned in the story
