youve read scum villain right. question if mike was going to transmigrate as anyone but lbh who would you have him transmigrate as. totally normal question for totally normal purposes i totally dont have a crackship to write for this years fanworks day
Oh this is a good one because he has zero canon fighting ability, which would actually be super hilarious.
Which like. Anyway. I'm left with two main options: Shen Qingqiu or Liu Qingge.
I could see him as a sqq type, especially if we consider Shen Yuan? Like with the whole rich kid with a younger sister he loves who's super passionately rage-hating a novel...that's peak Mike behavior. It's giving "Byers in Cali depression era" with him being a smart, shut-in pretty boy. I could totally see him choking on food and dying in his basement. I would also laugh so hard at him being shipped w/ Luo Binghe oh my god. Mike would flip alkdjflsdkjf if we think he's flustered about Will rn can you imagine him up against lbh???? God.
But also I can see him as the lqg type. He's...ah...passionate and stubborn always jumping into fights. He's really dedicated to Will in ST, and I could see him being the "so dedicated to the protag that he transmigrates into the guy who's really fucking dedicated to the protag" type. This becomes even funnier if Mike, being queer, is attached romantically when canon lqg isn't. I just think Mike getting OOC warnings for thirsting over sqq would be really fucking hilarious.
Anyway, whatever you choose...if theoretically you write this fic...I need to read it.

Friendly reminder that this travels in Luci's pocket. Her name is Beatrice, and if you hurt Lucan or make him cry you might get a crab pinching your butt and squaring up. She can read the elf's emotions so she also knows if he has a crush on you or hates you. She loves the gossip, has to be told not to jump in the battlefield bc she has 1 HP probably.

Aiden hopped out of her car with a small sigh leaving her lips, shutting her car door to only open up the backseat door to pull out her overnight backpack. Staying at another person’s home was a bit out of her comfort zone, even if that house belonged to her best friend’s mother. But there was no way she was going to let her best friend be home alone when there was a creeper living next door.
Sending a quick text to Salem, Aiden grabbed her backpack and shut the door after locking up her car. She made her way to the back gate of the apartment complex. It wasn’t too unusual for her to show up at the gated apartment complex. She’s picked up Salem a few times to spend the day with her while she was spending a night or two with her mom.
Walking up to the gate, Aiden smiled seeing a familiar darkly dressed girl already holding the door open for her with a mischievous grin on her face. Waving at her friend and picking up the pace to hurry, the black-haired girl welcomed her in and shut the gate behind them.
“What’s with the grin?” Aiden laughed as she greeted Salem, walking towards the stairs to make their way up to the third floor where Salem’s mom’s apartment was. “Nothing ever good happens when you’re grinning.”
Salem motioned the dirty blonde to walk up the stairs first before following behind. “Nothing! Giselle just texted me that they got to the resort fine but my mom already forgot which room was theirs so she’s lost somewhere in the resort.” She giggled, trying hard not to since it may sound a bit churlish to a stranger.
“How do you get lost at Starr Pass?” Aiden couldn’t help but laugh, walking up the next flight of stairs.
“I don’t know. My mom’s an airhead and likes to wander off like a little kid.” Salem shrugged. She then said with her voice holding a little shock, “I’m a bit shocked that you agreed to stay the weekend with me. The last time I asked you to come over when I was home alone at my dad’s, you couldn’t.”
“I had to work!” Aiden exclaimed with a light-hearted scoff, stepping onto the third floor and turning as Salem walked up next to her. “I have a four-day weekend and I’d be home alone with Jaden! Mom’s with the girls in Cali for Jack’s game and my dad is working.”
Salem groaned in feigned annoyance with her hand on the railing to dramatically throw her head back. Fighting back the urge to smack Salem, Aiden laughed off her tease and followed her around the corner.
“And I can’t leave you alone here when that bastard is living next door!” She retorted, raising her hands a bit. “I don’t have enough money to bail you out of jail!”
“I doubt I’d be put on bail if I “accidentally” pushed an old man over the rails.” Salem rolled her eyes with a devilish smile formed on her lips.
She watched Salem almost skip to the door of her apartment, opening up the screen door and then the main door. She exaggeratedly held her arms out to motion her to walk in first, though her eyes were staring off at the empty balcony next to them. She wasn’t too sure what bothered her more; Salem being paranoid of the creeper neighbor or that she knew her best friend would throw the old man over the railing with no mercy.
Stepping into the apartment and bringing her backpack forward, Aiden wasn’t expecting to see twin males sitting on the couch watching TV. Her heart momentarily stopped in her chest before falling onto the floor.
With the sound of a heavy thud, one of the males turned with a smile curling at his lips.
“Yo! Aiden, long time no see!” Yuji cheerfully greeted her with a friendly wave.
Then the identical male sitting next to him turned in his spot with a slightly annoyed ‘huh’. He curled an eyebrow with a look of pure annoyance forming on his sculpted features.
“I didn’t say you could invite anyone over, Brat.” Sukuna sneered, his scarlet eyes shifting to the girl behind Aiden.
Salem shut the door behind her, “I didn’t ask you, Cum-stain.” Sticking her tongue out at him was almost shocking to Aiden that Sukuna didn’t leap over the couch to start hitting her. “Besides, you two chucklefucks weren’t supposed to be here!”
Aiden whipped around to look at Salem with incredulous eyes, “You said you were home alone!”
“I did and was supposed to!” Salem defended herself, picking up Aiden’s backpack and tossing one of the straps on her shoulder. She stuck out a thumb and pointed at the males on the couch with a curled lip in distaste. “Yuji and Sukuna decided to come home from college and spend their break here.”
“I thought you wouldn’t mind it!” Yuji looked at Salem with a slightly guilty look, his lips forming into a frown.
“No! Mom said you two were supposed to be at the dorms studying and that I’d be home alone! If I knew you both were coming home, I wouldn’t have invited Aiden and Megumi over!” Salem retorted, shaking her head as she stomped down the small hall into the master bedroom with Aiden’s belongings.
Aiden couldn’t help but gawk at the twins on the couch, watching Yuji jolt up and follow his slightly older step-sister down the small hallway.
How did she forget that Salem has a pair of step-brothers that live with their mother? Then again, she hasn’t seen either of the boys or heard from them since they moved to their dorm on the campus of their college. How did she forget about them though?
Let alone, how could she forget about Sukuna? Salem’s hunky, bad boy, step-brother that is tatted up head to toe?
She watches as Sukuna laugh at his twin and step-sister bicker down the hall, his grin exposing his sharp canine. Her heart flutters in her chest, internally sighing dreamily seeing him genuinely laugh. The unique marking under the outer corners of his eyes lifted a bit with his grin, enhancing his already striking features.
Aiden would be lying if she said she didn’t have feelings for the delinquent twin. Remembering the day when she let her little secret slip past her lips to her best friend, Salem laughed out loud at the mention and even wished her best friend luck trying to rope in Sukuna. He is as wild as they come, and Aiden knew that he was a bit of a playboy too.
Every time she saw him, he had a different girl with him every time. None of them stuck around too long or at least ended up leaving him on bad terms.
He was a forbidden fruit Salem and Yuji prevented her from trying to get to. As much as it annoyed her, Aiden knew they were doing it to protect her. Hell, Salem would accidentally end up talking shit about her step-brother that would almost make Aiden think otherwise. But she has already fallen in too deep with Sukuna and they haven’t even dated yet.
Just then, a knock came on the window and then the screen door, snapping Aiden out of her deep thought. Turning and barely taking a step to open the door, Salem ran to the door faster than Sukuna could jump over the back of the couch. Her brown eyes widened in slight amusement watching the step-siblings fighting over who got to open the door.
Salem’s hand covered Sukuna’s face, shoving him back while he had a hand tugging down the front of her black crop top and trying to tug her away from the door. Both their free hands were on the doorknob of the front door, but neither could get the knob to turn to open it. At least not until one could successfully win to open the door to whoever was on the other side.
Aiden couldn’t hold back her giggles watching the two try to wrestle each other for the door. But miraculously, Salem yanked the door open first but it didn’t stop Sukuna from hastily opening the screen door and shoving his step-sister out. The pair fell to the ground of the balcony in front of the door in a heap.
Aiden and Yuji ran towards the door to check on who was outside of it. But before they could get close enough, both Sukuna and Salem quickly stood up while trying to act smooth.
Aiden would be lying if she said they didn’t seem like siblings.
“Hey, Megu-” “Love, I said to text me when you got here!”
Quickly running out the door, Aiden hopped in front of Salem with a hand pulling up the front of her best friend’s shirt. Salem was about to semi-glare at her best friend but instantly realized why she did that, her cheeks growing warm and needing to run inside and hide.
Aiden looked over her shoulder at Megumi, Salem’s boyfriend, flashing him a half-grin. “Excuse Salem’s boobs— I mean her wardrobe malfunction.” She apologized for her flustered best friend.
Megumi slightly shook his head, his eyes averting towards the center of the apartment complex.
“It’s fine. I’m sure both she and Sukuna give most of the complex heart attacks.” He muttered, his voice soft yet embarrassed. The smallest tint of pink dusting the bridge of his nose. Glancing back at the trio, his cobalt eyes moved to Sukuna before shifting to Aiden. “I didn’t know Sukuna was going to be home.”
“Because the jackass wasn’t supposed to!” Salem growled from the other side of Aiden, her hands fidgeting with her shirt in an attempt to fix the stretched fabric. “Also, Yuji is home too.” She added in a calmer tone.
Yuji came out of the apartment, holding out a black Spirited Away cardigan to Salem. He turned and smiled at Megumi, “Oh hey, Megumi! It’s been a while!” He cheerfully greeted them with a wave.
Pulling on the cardigan, Salem walked around Aiden as she tugged the sides of the cardigan to cover her. “Are you still planning to stay the night?” She asked towards Megumi, her tone growing softer as she walked up to him.
"Only if you two wanna bone," Sukuna shouted while having a grin form on his face.
Salem turned with a low growl leaving her but a twisted grin formed on her lips. “Oh, you’d enjoy that.” She sneered, “But no. I have decency for my step-brothers and best friend!”
“Wait! Where’s Megumi going to sleep if you guys have mom’s room?” Yuji asked, slapping a hand over Sukuna’s opened mouth to prevent him from starting another fight.
Megumi averted his eyes to the dark-haired girl waiting for her to answer, Salem started "Well, I was hoping that Megumi could sleep on the couch… Or even with you guys." She suggested, not giving too much thought of the situation.
Yuji's eyes opened wide, filling up with little sparkles of hope. "Oh man really!?  We're gonna have a sleepover too! No girls allowed!" He exclaimed with excitement sparkling in his chestnut eyes. His arms then crossed over the other to make an ‘X’.
Sukuna pushed Yuji's hand away from his mouth, giving him a stale look "Why not? Girls are always allowed, they make things fun."
“That’s fine by me,” Aiden interjected their conversation amongst themselves with her arms crossing under her chest. “Guys can stay with the guys in your room. We girls have the rest of the apartment!” Her lips turned into a smug smirk.
“Wait, I can see punishing Yuji and Sukuna but not Megumi.” Salem pursed her lips together in a near pout, her hand tugging at the sleeve of Megumi’s hoodie. “ ‘Gumi hasn’t done anything yet.”
“Yet,” Sukuna commented with a snarky scoff.
Out of reaction, Aiden smacked Sukuna’s arm in irritation. He shot a near amused yet irritated look back to her, but the sound of Salem handing off Megumi’s backpack to Yuji had him roll his eyes. It was his cue to head back inside the apartment. He has the whole weekend to get back at Aiden.
Sukuna clicked his tongue, turning on his heel and checking his phone heading back inside the apartment. "Listen, he can bunk with us so you girls can do whatever little brats like you do. So don't get your panties in a bunch." He grumbled, waving a dismissive hand, and then grabbed Aiden by her forearm to drag her inside.
Before Aiden could motion the couple to come back inside the apartment, Sukuna had already dragged her inside and shut the door behind them. She wanted to snap at why they just left them on the porch but then Yuji jumped on the loveseat that was in front of the window. He then snapped his fingers at her and waved his hand to have her come closer in a hurried motion. Reluctantly, Aiden quickly ran around the other couch to join the friendlier twin on the couch.
Their knees bumped against each other’s as they both kneeled on the seats of the couch, Yuji scooting over a bit to give Aiden a little bit of personal space. Placing a finger over his lips, he then barely peeked open the blinds just enough for them to peek through.
She didn’t know why she didn’t know what the hell she was expecting, but she should’ve known.
Salem and Megumi were embracing each other with their lips moving but they couldn’t hear anything from inside. It made Aiden happy to know they were still doing good despite their poor communication skills; Salem was just as bad as Megumi when it came to expressing their feelings but that is what makes them work. It was rare for Aiden to see the genuine twinkle of interest coming from her best friend when it came to a person, Salem loathed everyone and everything around her. But the similar twinkle of interest and adoration in Megumi’s eyes set her at ease that Salem was in good hands.
Aiden never really cared for relationships- she was far too busy with work and trying to get into the fire academy to even try to juggle for one. But she couldn’t help but yearn for one. Although when she found out that Salem had officially started dating Megumi, she was extremely happy for her yet now she kind of felt like the odd one out.
It wasn’t that Salem left her behind for her boyfriend; it was more of the fact she came to her for advice but Aiden didn’t have much experience in relationships. Salem had offered to help Aiden get with someone she liked but that was already a hard game due to her having high standards for men.
But it seems like the high standards she held aimed more towards Sukuna. That was someone Salem was wary of Aiden getting with, but respected and kind of support her. Sukuna, after all, was the better-looking twin between him and Yuji.
Though Salem would’ve put Yuji with Aiden over Sukuna just because she knew Yuji was a better and healthier suitor for her best friend. Salem wasn’t Aiden’s guardian that arranged relationships for her, so her best friend wasn’t that sadistic.
The moment Megumi was leaning down and Salem leaned up a bit with their faces growing closer, a plush of child Deku from My Hero Academia was thrown at the blinds. Both Yuji and Aiden jumped at the sudden object being thrown towards them. Aiden was first to sit back on her haunches with furrowed brows and turn to see Sukuna on his phone, acting as if he wasn’t the one who threw the plush doll that sat in a bowl on the small table he stood next to.
Aiden knew for a damn fact that Salem’s mother’s new apartment wasn’t haunted. Salem and Yuji both confirmed that since they were both hypersensitive to the supernatural. Sukuna was just the demon they lived with.
“What the hell was that for?!” Yuji exclaimed, leaning over the back of the couch to retrieve Deku from between the window and the back of the couch.
“You both are being stalkers and I’m hungry and bored,” Sukuna answered, unbothered by the irritated growl coming from his twin. Looking up from his phone and directly looking at Aiden, “You’re getting the food though.”
Soon later after Salem came back inside of the apartment ready to smack around Yuji and Sukuna for interrupting her moment, Megumi and Aiden had to calm the siblings down to sit and talk out their dinner plans. Sitting around the coffee table discussing what to do about dinner, Aiden thought it’d be easy for them since Salem and Yuji could roll with whatever but she forgot that both Sukuna and Megumi were picky eaters.
Salem and Yuji sat on the floor with their backs facing the TV and entertainment center. To their left on the love seat was Megumi leaning on his knees and his phone in his hands, not necessarily looking up food options. Across from them on the bigger couch were Sukuna and Aiden; Aiden leaning against the armrest of the couch closer to Megumi and Sukuna leaned back on the couch with his legs hitting the coffee table.
There were denied options, mixed answers on other suggestions, and some approvals but no one could come to a consensus of what to settle for dinner. Yuji, Sukuna, and Megumi were all college students that should be susceptible to eating anything but since they were home and had options, they were at each other’s throats. Aiden and Salem bickered over certain food options but were able to compromise.
Neither girl thought choosing what to get for dinner was going to be so difficult. And no one wanted to cook what they had in the kitchen.
“Caruso’s sounds good…” Salem uttered out breathily as she stared down at the screen of her phone. Her mouth-watering at the picture of delicious pasta on the screen. “Mmm… Seafood pasta~”
“Italian doesn’t sound half bad. I haven’t had good Italian food in a while.” Megumi leaned over Salem’s shoulder to see what she was looking at. “Do they deliver?”
“I just had Italian last night.” Sukuna groaned in annoyance, still going through the UberEats app for something. “Need something different.”
“Pizza is always good! Let’s get pizza!” Yuji proposed, immediately pulling up his email for coupons from Papa John’s and Pizza Hut.
“I just had pizza last night with my family,” Aiden commented gently, leaning back against the couch and placing her feet on the metal frame of the coffee table. “Kiwami has a drive-thru we could go pick up the food at.”
“Ramen sounds good.” Both twins responded, picking up their heads from their phones and looking at the short-haired faux brunette.
Aiden glanced up from her phone to see Yuji looking up at her and froze when Sukuna leaned closer to her to steal her phone out of her hand. Her cheeks grew warm at his fingers brushing against hers when he snatched her phone out of her hand, feeling her words caught in her throat to snap at him for taking her phone.
She looked up to get a little assistance from Salem but she was now leaning against Megumi’s leg. One of Salem’s arms was draped over his leg with the other holding up her phone to him. The couple seemed to have already picked out what they wanted for dinner but it didn’t settle down on what Aiden needed.
Feeling eyes on her, Salem looked over at Aiden to see her face reddened and her hand still open as if her phone was still in it. Glancing over at the twins, Salem’s eyebrows rose to see Sukuna holding Aiden’s phone with Yuji peering over the armrest to look at the screen of it.
Well, that was something.
“Hmm… I might just get something from Door Dash.” Yuji muttered out, falling back onto his haunches. He then looked in the direction of Salem and Megumi. “How does Fuku Sushi sound?”
Salem perked up her head with her mouth opening, but before she could say anything, Sukuna clicked his tongue.
“If you get sushi delivered here, you’re getting mine and Aiden’s dinner,” Sukuna demanded, glowering at his twin with furrowed brows.
“I can go get it.” Aiden interjected, leaning forward to get a look at Yuji with her tone going soft.
“We can go get it while we go get ours.” Megumi offered, looking up from Salem’s phone while she types out what they wanted to order from their restaurant.
“No, no we can’t.” Salem absentmindedly muttered out as she typed on her phone. “We’re going down 4th Ave and Kiwami is on Speedway. But if Yuji gets it, he can get us boba.”
“What?! I didn’t agree to that!” Yuji exclaimed at the sudden food additions getting dropped on him.
Salem tossed her phone to Megumi before crawling over to Yuji and then grabbing him by his face with her fingers squishing his cheeks. “C’mon, Yuji~! Be a good brother to your big sissy and get me a boba at the Korean Rose~” She evilly-sweet cooed at him with a devilish grin on her lips and her fingers gently tapping his cheeks.
But that sweet sister act grew sadistic when she dug her long nails into his flesh.
“Or else I’ll tell mom who really broke the shower a month ago, you whore!” She grinned, causing Sukuna to fall back on the couch laughing at the sight of Yuji’s color washing out of his face at the memory.
Aiden couldn’t help but lean closer to Sukuna, “What happened?”
“The brat brought home a girl while our mom was watching her nana for the night and he thought it was a good idea to have shower sex knowing the shower in mom’s room was small!” Sukuna cackled loudly, holding his stomach at the incident flashing in his mind over and over again. “He called Salem in a panic because he broke one of the sliding doors. When she came over, the girl screamed because she thought Salem was his girlfriend!”
“Oh dear.” Aiden sighed with her eyebrows knitting together at the thought. Trying to hold back the laugh that was forming in her chest at the mere thought of Salem beating Yuji bare ass naked.
After Salem convinced Yuji to not only bring back boba and get Sukuna’s and Aiden’s food but Megumi and Salem took off to go pick up theirs. Which left Aiden and Sukuna alone at the apartment. She didn’t know how long either of them would take.
Aiden couldn’t help but mentally panic in her head, hating that Salem left with the comment that they better not come back to Sukuna’s wiener out. Not that Salem doubted her best friend, but she knew how bold Sukuna can be whilst being home alone with a girl.
He has a solid idea that girl has a little crush on him.
But does Sukuna know? Salem never told him anything and Yuji is dumb as rocks.
They both sat there in awkward silence, watching him flipping through the recommended section on Disney+, Aiden's eyes caught a glimpse of what looked to be Marvel's Civil War. Sukuna didn’t actually care what was on the Tv he was just going to sit there on his phone texting his hoes anyway. So she rather enjoy something she liked to watch instead of something boring while having him sitting beside her laughing like a schoolgirl at his device.
"Wait, go back!" She raised her voice a few notches so he could hear her over the blaring sounds. He pivoted his head and gave her a sidelong glance.
Did she actually like something on Disney+?
He readjusted himself while still having a careless expression covering his face as he went back two movie titles until she almost launched out of her seat to say stop when she saw Bucky Barnes appear on the screen. Practically drooling in her seat admiring the semi-long-haired brunette man kicking some avenger ass.
"I'm surprised that cripple is doing so much for someone who is missing an arm" Sukuna couldn’t help but snicker at the fight scene between Bucky and the rest of the Avengers.
“He was brainwashed by HYDRA and Zemo used his trigger words, he went back to being a cold-hearted assassin.” Aiden briefly explained, tucking a leg under her and turning slightly to face the male on the other side of the couch. “He still has a metal arm, so he’s able to use it!”
He rolled his eyes and shook his head. Aiden was like Salem; protecting fictional men as if they were real people. It wasn’t like Bucky wasn’t all that hot anyway. Especially in this movie, he just looked more like a caveman with scruff and long greasy hair. But the girls were nerds, maybe that’s why they always went after greasy men like Loki or Kylo Ren; they were broken boys with fucked up backgrounds.
Maybe that’s why Salem likes Megumi?
The scene of Natasha wrapping her legs around Bucky’s neck came on the screen and suddenly caught Sukuna’s interest. A smug smirk formed on his lips with his legs spreading a bit in amusement. Aiden looked over at the sudden movement to see him manspreading, setting another arrow to her heart and making her blush. Averting her gaze back at the TV, she tried to focus on the scene playing on the TV but why did Sukuna have to move like that?
But when the scene of Bucky slamming Natasha down on the table, an audible groan came from Aiden’s left. Her eyes grew knowing that he was thinking about something terrible, but she couldn’t help but wonder why he was being like this.
"What’s that for?" She slightly turned her head where the noise was coming from.
"It's just that, never thought I would see a sex position that I've done before in a movie," Sukuna brushed it off lightly while still holding that smug look.
He was absolutely despicable and crude, but he did have this confidence to back it up which was strange because you would think that no girl would come close to someone who only thinks with his dick. His body count was higher than anyone's expectations of him getting into college, let alone getting someone pregnant.
"I could tell you all about it, how she squirted everywhere even on my face when I ate her out." He gave her a devilish smirk, leaning in closer to her about a few inches away from her face. "Or I could show you? We could always redo that scene."
Aiden scooted back a bit in her spot with her cheeks flared red. “W-what?!” She stammered, feeling her heart pound rapidly in her chest.
She felt like she was going to have a heart attack, her hands flung down on her thighs making a smacking sound as she nervously laughed it off averting herself towards the tv.
Why was she so attracted to a guy like this?
Sukuna couldn’t help but enjoy this situation, he scooted closer to her now overtaking her spot and being in her personal bubble knowing damn well what he was doing. He loved being a tease almost as much as he loved seeing a girl fall for his charm. Her pupils increased in size, feeling his body heat trailing off of him onto her arm, smelling the classic expensive cologne he always wore.
It was almost intoxicating to inhale his scent. This was bad and dangerous for her. Damn it! Why did Salem have to go with Megumi when she could’ve stayed back? Why didn’t she just go get their food and have Yuji stay with his brother?
As much as she daydreamed about being alone with Sukuna secretly, she could never act upon what she thought about. Victoria Justice is a liar when it comes to the idea of having a giant ass crush on your best friend’s brother. Well, in the sense that Sukuna is literally the worst.
“What do you say, Aiden?” Chills ran down her spine feeling his hot breath on the shell of her ear, his voice dropping a couple of octaves while whispering in her ear. “I can help you relax~”
Aiden could hear Salem’s voice in her head, trying to replay every little bit of random ramblings she had about her step-brother. Mentally trying to build up enough resistance from letting Sukuna do what he pleased with her. It wasn’t like it was going to mean anything to him.
“Sukuna is a virgin killer. He’ll fuck anything with a pussy and maybe Megumi but I’d still be careful, Aiden. I love and care about you, so don’t be afraid to punch and kick him around a bit.”
The moment she felt his hand touch her face, Aiden immediately grabbed his wrist. Sukuna’s eyes widened in shock, dumbfounded. She quickly and harshly shoved him away from her without turning to look at him. He watched her get up from the couch and calmly walk towards the bathroom, but then she paused.
She placed her hand on the doorframe before turning to him and flashing a smile at him.
“I’m not a slut like you.”
After she walked into the bathroom and slammed the door behind her, Sukuna fell back on the couch with his mouth agape. Did he just get denied by a girl? He could’ve sworn Aiden was heads over heels for him. He’s seen the way she gets nervous when he’s around, or even catching her ogling at his body when Salem invites her to go swimming with them.
But whatever the hell that was, Sukuna was into it.
First, it was Yuji who came back with their dinner and Sukuna was the one who ended up picking up the Door Dash order his brother placed. Aiden made sure to ignore Sukuna as much as she could, chatting more with the friendlier twin and finding better company with him than Sukuna. But she couldn’t help but find it amusing to see Sukuna become more irritated with his brother than usual.
Shortly after, Salem and Megumi came back with their food and black bags full of clothes. Aiden found out why they took a bit longer; not only because the food was still being made but Salem saw a sale at Razorz Edge and decided to do a little shopping. When Salem presented the clothes to Aiden while they ate, by the prices of the clothes she could tell Megumi probably paid for most of them.
Megumi always got ungodly amounts of allowance from his adoptive father. Since he started dating Salem, he didn’t mind spending some of it on his girlfriend.
The night carried on smoothly with the girls now sitting at the dining table talking amongst themselves while the boys sat on the couch watching Jackass Number  2. The girls talk about their recent events while enjoying the bobas that Yuji had bought them. Aiden hadn’t told Salem about the incident with Sukuna after they left, but she wasn’t too sure if she could.
Salem by default is protective of her friends and family. She could only imagine what Salem would do if she heard her dumbass step-brother try pulling a move on her best friend.
Once coming back to the couches to join the boys, Aiden decided to sit next to Yuji while Sukuna sat on the other side of him. Salem sat next to Megumi and Aiden but leaned on the armrest closest to her as their group talked about what to do next. But since everyone was in a bit of a food coma, they all opted to just stay in and watch movies. Leading everyone to run to their rooms and change into their pj’s to get more comfortable.
For the first couple of movies, everyone was awake and doing their commentary on the movie. Salem had brought out blankets for them to cuddle into if they got cold, making everyone relax a bit more. But around the third one, that was where everyone started to call it a night. Heads bobbing from trying to stay awake, phones nearly falling to the floor from loss of grip, and multiple yawns being passed around.
Sukuna was the first to get up to go into his shared bedroom with Yuji, not even bothering to try to be a nuisance to his step-sister or twin. That little fact set Aiden at ease, knowing that she’ll be fine for the night. But it didn’t stop Yuji from leaning his head on her shoulder once he fell asleep during Amityville Horror with Ryan Reynolds. But every time she tried pushing him off of her and sitting him back straight, he kept falling back onto her shoulder.
She looked over at her best friend on the other couch but she was met with a rather cute sight of Salem and Megumi both asleep leaning against each other. Seeing Salem fall asleep rather early was new to her, but Aiden knew the girl needed it since she rarely ever slept.
Sighing softly, Aiden propped up her elbow on the armrest of the couch and leaned her cheek on her knuckles. For once, she wasn’t tired yet. It was as if she and Salem switched roles of who had insomnia. It was slightly peculiar that everyone was asleep so early, but she didn't put that much thought into it.
After she got all comfy trying to once again tip over the sleeping wall called Yuji, he finally went down on the other side of the couch resting his head on the free cushion instead of her shoulder because it was killing her from the pressure from his fathead. Her eyes grew fairly heavy from staring at the Tv for a long period, but for some odd reason, she didn't feel tired.
She’ll go to bed after this movie. She knew she should wake up Salem to come to bed with her but she looked comfy on the loveseat with her emo boyfriend. Yuji just looked content to sleep on the couch too. She’ll just toss a blanket over him when she gets up to go to sleep. Just finish this movie and she’ll head to bed.
By the next morning, Aiden woke up with a shiver coursing throughout her body. Curling slightly into herself, her hand reached out for the blanket to cover herself with and turned on her other side. Snuggling closer to the warmth of the other side of the bed. Hopefully, Salem doesn’t mind her sucking off her body heat, knowing that girl was a walking heater.
Taking a sharp inhale of the morning air, she got a whiff of faint black amber and saffron. Strange manly scent for body wash but Salem probably was in a hurry when she showered. Was it weird to smell your best friend?
No, their friend back in high school used to smell Salem every day because of the perfumes she sprayed on.
Barely starting to fall back into her deep sleep, Aiden relaxed more into the bed to then feel Salem shift onto her side. A deep guttural moan came from next to her, causing Aiden’s sleep to completely clear away. What fucking demon possessed Salem to have her voice go that deep? Salem has a deep voice, but she was no Corpse Husband.
“Sukie! Aiden! Wakey-wakey! I’m making red velvet pancakes!”
Her eyes snapped open, horror feeling her body at the person sleeping next to her. Aiden wasn’t in Salem’s mother’s room and the person laying next to her asleep was not her best friend.
There lying close to her asleep was Salem’s step-brother, Sukuna. Shirtless with his toned muscles and nice tattoos on full display. Feeling her cheeks burn and her heart dropping, she immediately looked under the blanket. Letting out a relieved sigh, she was a little at ease to see him wearing dark grey sweats and she was still in her Bakugo shirt and black joggers.
But that doesn’t explain how or why she’s in Sukuna’s bed or how she got into his bedroom.
Aiden jolted in the bed at the loud pounding on the bedroom door. “Sukie! I said I’m making pancakes! Get your skank-ass up!” Salem’s voice came from the other side of the door.
Before she could attempt to crawl out of the bed without being noticed, Aiden froze as Sukuna slowly started to stir awake. He let out a low growl as he pulled his pillow over his head.
“I’ll wake up when I fucking feel like it!” Sukuna groaned out, his voice gravelly and low still coaxed in a heavy sleep.
Aiden was petrified, trying so hard to keep her composure from not panicking but to no avail. She slowly removed the covers from her torso down to her legs trying her best to not disturb the devil himself, placing her foot softly on the sheepish tan carpet, she heard a low grumble. She whipped her head back, watching as Sukuna removed the pillow from his face, tucking it beneath his head.
How did she get into bed with Sukuna?
Her panic started to set in more as she slowly slipped out of the bed, carefully analyzing Sukuna’s face in hopes he’d not wake up fully.
“Aiden! Are you still sleeping? What the fuck?”
Silently cursing Salem for being so damn loud in the morning, Aiden hoped to any god out there to not have Sukuna wake up or even have Salem walk in. She tensed up hearing the doorknob turn. Now mentally preparing herself for the embarrassment, Aiden tried to quickly slip out of bed and at least scramble up to Yuji’s top bunk.
“Why are you being loud? Just let them sleep in a little more.” The faint voice of Megumi traveled through the door.
“Aiden doesn’t like missing out on breakfast and Sukuna hates his food cold,” Salem responded to Megumi with a softer tone in her voice.
“They’ll be fine. Let them sleep a bit more. And it’s nicer without Sukuna’s cockiness first thing in the morning.” Megumi assured, hints of annoyance lingered in his tone.
The sound of the doorknob being let go and Salem’s small whimper set Aiden’s heart a little bit at ease, breathing out a soft ‘thank you’ for her best friend’s boyfriend diversion. The soft thuds of footsteps moved away from the door and down the hall.
But as she was halfway off the bed, she felt a hand grab her arm and tug her back on the bed. Aiden sharply inhaled to hear a deep chuckle coming from Sukuna’s chest. Her eyes widened, their chests flushed together and her eyes stared straight back at Sukuna’s scarlet ones. A twisted smirk plastered on his features with a raised eyebrow.
“Where d’you think you’re goin’, you little Minx.”
His voice was deep, raspy, and still written in sleep. He did not need to purr like that to her, let alone drag her back into his bed like she belonged there. She could only pray he didn’t feel her heart ramming against her ribcage. But he definitely did catch that hue of red growing on her face.
“I- Uhm…” She averted her gaze away from his, feeling his fingers grip harder onto her wrist that was pulled a bit past his waist.
“You think I’m gonna let you get away after you crawled into my bed last night?” He drawled out almost humming his question. Getting a rise out of the wonky frown and knitted brows that formed on her face.
“I- I didn’t crawl into your bed last night! I went into your mom’s bedroom!” She forced out, trying to keep a hard tone but wavered in her nervousness.
He chuckled. “Ah, no you didn’t.” He grinned deviously. “You quietly stumbled into my room last night, walked straight to my bed, and got into bed with me.”
At the sound of her gasping with her eyes widening, he couldn’t help but laugh.
“You even cuddled up to me like a kitten!” He laughed then leaned closer to her face, causing her to try to shrink away from him.
Aiden’s heart rammed inside her chest, feeling her heartbeat going so fast that it made her wonder if this is what it felt like to be on the brink of death. She didn’t like how close he was getting to her. She didn’t like feeling his warm breath fanning her lips. She wanted to run away but with his iron grip on her wrist and her body frozen in place, she couldn’t find it in herself to move.
Being eye-to-eye with him even made it hard for her to try to move. His scarlet eyes staring straight back into her chestnut ones had her under a trance. She couldn’t even tear her eyes away from him.
Was she that down bad for him?
“Ow! Okay! I’ll get him up!” The sound of the door opening and Yuji stepping into the room had Sukuna avert his attention.
In a swift movement, he sat up and threw the blanket over Aiden to completely cover her. Scared to move a muscle, she felt the bed dip in on either side of her body.
“Sit still and stay quiet.” Sukuna’s voice fell into a hushed whisper next to her ear over the blanket.
When the weight lifted off of her, Aiden obeyed his order not because he told her, but to cling onto the last bit of dignity she held in herself. Now being alone under the blanket, she was able to calm down a bit and relax a bit more knowing that he moved away from her.
“Oh, you’re up!” Yuji spoke with shock in his voice, followed by the sound of soft thuds moving around the bed. “Salem told me to come drag you out of bed.”
“I’ve been up since that brat pounded on the damn door like the cops,” Sukuna responded with a slight growl in his voice, followed by the squeaking of the closet door opening. “I liked it better when she wasn’t here.”
“That’s a lie! You like it when she makes breakfast!” Yuji retorted with the sounds of footsteps coming close to the bed. “Oh, do you know what time Aiden went to bed at? Salem said she woke up earlier than her and she’s surprised that she didn't wake up early this time.”
Aiden sucked in a breath feeling stuff being tossed on top of her, hoping to any god that Yuji does not grope the blanket to pick up whatever he put on her.
“Hell if I know! I’m not her babysitter. I went to bed before any of you did.” Sukuna responded with annoyance in his voice, the sound of clothes shuffling followed.
“That’s a lie. You don’t go to sleep until like three in the morning.” Yuji countered, then placed his hand on top of Aiden’s hip over the blanket. “Hm? What’s this?”
Aiden mentally screamed in her mind; not being able to tell if it was because Yuji is indirectly touching her hip or that she was about to be exposed. Why was she feeling so flustered if she doesn’t remember how she got into Sukuna’s bed in the first place. It wasn’t like she slept walk.
Oh, wait.
“Get your hand off my shit, jackass!” Sukuna snapped. The sensation of Yuji’s hand getting thrown off of her sent a small bit of relief to her. “Hurry up and get your shit so I can spend a few more minutes without seeing Megumi and Salem licking each other!”
“They’re not licking each other!” Yuji laughed but was followed by a hard smack. “Ow! Okay! I’m leaving!”
Soon the sound of the bedroom door opening and closing sent more relief to her. She didn’t know why she felt like the girl that Sukuna is trying to hide that he snuck in but she was happy he kept her appearance hidden from his twin.
The last thing Aiden wanted was the pure utter shame of Salem finding out she accidentally slept-walked into Sukuna’s and Yuji’s room instead of their mother’s. She’ll never hear the end of it from Salem. She could only imagine what she’d say in response, let alone, hearing her harass Sukuna for something almost innocent.
“Ha! You grew a pair of balls and went to sleep with Sukuna! Was it your inner succubus that swayed you to commit such a bold move on my fuckboi of a step-brother?”
She grimaced at the thought of seeing Salem haughtily laugh with a hand on her hip and the other being held over the side of her face. Although Salem can be extremely emotionless, she can seriously go dramatic in a matter of seconds.
Just then, the blanket was ripped off of her, causing her to jump in her skin at the sudden cold breeze caressing her fully clothed body. Aiden’s eyes darted upwards to see Sukuna still shirtless in his dark grey sweatpants that hung dangerously low on his hips, exposing the thick band of his Calvin Klein boxer briefs. Her eyes traveled down his toned body involuntarily, but then her eyes darted back up to his tatted chest.
Sukuna momentarily smirked at seeing her ogle at his body with her lips parting slightly in interest. But when he glanced down to where exactly she was staring at, he grimaced, taking notice his nipples were standing in attention. He turned to the side and crossed his arms, clicking his tongue in slight annoyance.
“Hurry up and slip into my mom’s room before Salem loses her fucking shit.” He grumbled with a slight nod towards the door.
Quickly sitting up and picking up her phone from the floor, she nodded her head. “Right…” She agreed and shuffled over to the door. Pausing before she could touch the doorknob, she looked back at Sukuna to see his toned back was facing her. “We don’t talk about this with anyone, okay?”
The moment he nodded his head in affirmation, she quickly slipped out of the room. At the soft sound of the door clicking shut, Sukuna dragged a hand down his face with a groan leaving from his throat. He hated that he was blushing. Why the hell was he blushing for his nipples? They always got hard for no reason and he never had an issue with girls and his nipples before. So why is that when Aiden stared at them for a second too long, he felt like a girl?
This was going to be a long and annoying weekend.
Aiden came out of their mother’s room as if she just woke up, with her teeth freshly brushed and hair brushed out. When she looked into the kitchen, she found Salem watching the pancakes in the pan with Megumi’s arms latched around her waist, too tired to be bothered that Yuji was outwardly teasing him for being clingy. It was cute until Salem noticed her and started to tease her about sleeping in and almost missing out on breakfast as if it was already done.
Shortly after Salem started to serve out breakfast, Sukuna finally emerged from his room and changed into his outfit for the day which consisted of a white tee and dark gray jeans. Even though Salem was only a year older than the twins, she always acted like she was the older sibling with them. Mocking Sukuna for taking his sweet time in the morning to do his routine and then getting upset about his breakfast was getting cold.
During breakfast, everything seemed pretty lighthearted. Salem and Yuji fight over the last piece of bacon for only Megumi to snatch it from them. Sukuna secretly stealing one of Yuji’s pancakes, Salem sneakily trying to steal bacon from Aiden’s plate but almost got stabbed by her fork. Maybe not so peaceful as it sounds, but at the least, no one was throwing food yet.
After eating and leaving Sukuna to wash all their dishes for being the last one to breakfast, Salem and Aiden took off to the master bedroom to either shower or get ready for the day. Out of the five of them, none of them had a clue what they were going to do that day. Wanting to make the most out of their four-day weekend.
“What time did you go to bed that you slept in more than me?” Salem asked while she brushed up half of her long hair into a ponytail to match the other.
“Uhh… I think at 4 in the morning? I ended up watching two Harry Potter movies.” Aiden responded slowly, thinking back to the previous night while curling her hair in the mirror. “Why?”
Salem shook her head, “Mm nothing. I’m just surprised Sukuna didn’t try chasing you to bed.” She said absentmindedly, standing up straight as she split the ponytail and half before gently tugging at them to make it tighter.
Setting down the curling flat iron, Aiden turned to face her friend. “What do you mean?”
“Sukuna may be an asshole, but when we were younger, he used to find me still up doing gods know what and would harass me into going to bed. Even if it was just for me to lay there in the darkness.” Salem responded in a near fond tone, her focus was in the mirror but her eyes held a softened gaze.
“Believe it or not, he has a smidge of a soft side.” She continued. But that softened gaze turned into a slightly territorial glare into the mirror. “And it shows greatly when he flirts with my boyfriend. I don’t know how he can make friends so fucking easily like Yuji but when it comes to Megumi, he fucking loses all control and fucking flirts with him!”
Aiden busted out laughing, “Well, Sukuna is oddly social. Maybe Megumi just stole his tiny heart without even noticing it?” She jest, poking a bit of fun at her best friend to watch her angrily brush out her twin-tails.
“Bullshit! Sukuna gets whatever the hell he wants with just a look.” Salem retorted, making Aiden laugh more.
“He hasn’t gotten to me yet!” Aiden laughed, but then Salem spun to face her and placed her hands on her shoulders.
“Good, he’s too stupid for you.”
“He’s not that stupid”
Salem busted out with laughter “Ha! Sukuna is fucking dumb dude, when we were little he used to go into the closet and sit in there in hopes cucuy would get him.”
“I highly doubt that he would’ve done that, also have you seen Yuji?”
“Why are you defending him, Aiden?”
At that moment her heart stopped beating in her chambers. She realized that if she came clean about the little incident that happened just previously, Salem would kill Sukuna and more importantly her.
Salem stared at Aiden with incredulous eyes, her lips pursing together in slight suspicion. Aiden couldn’t help but shrink under the intense gaze she had towards her. Shit, Salem had to know something now. Now she’s seriously never going to hear the end of it.
Quick, say something!
“Why are you staring at me like that?” Aiden asked- more like blurted out.
That’s not what I mean!
“Holy shit, that crush still hasn’t gone away!” Salem breathily scoffed with an amused glint in her eyes.
“S-shut up!” Aiden quipped, flustered, and picked up the hairspray for her hair. “Don’t act like you never had a crush on someone out of your league!”
Salem chuckled, “Of course I do. I panic whenever I see Satoru or Toji! Hell, I still feel like I’m out of ‘Gumi’s league!”
“Yeah, but you have Megumi. He’s in your league!” Aiden retorted, bending over a bit to shake her head to make sure the curls are fluffed and the spray sticks. Standing back up straight, she sent Salem a knitted eyebrows expression. “You’re both socially awkward, smart but can have a single brain cell, and you both act like the other hates you.”
Salem turned her head to the side, clicking her tongue, and a faint blush appeared on her cheeks. “Shut it.”
Aiden giggled deviously, leaning closer to her friend with a shit-eating grin. “Oh? Or what about that time you both freaked out for brushing your fingers when reaching for the same Cards Against Humanity expansion pack?” She teased, watching Salem turn her back towards her to hide her flustered face.
“We weren’t dating then. It was weird. That’s all.” Salem justified in a stubborn tone.
“Or the time you called me crying while hiding in the bathroom that he accidentally spilled his Starbucks on you and you blurted ‘Thank you’ in response?” Aiden teased further, blinking her eyes with her smug grin growing more.
“That was because who says ‘thank you’ when someone spills something on you by accident” Salem exclaimed, flustered and finally turning to face her best friend.
“And he said ‘You too’.” Aiden trying to prove her point that Salem and Megumi were a made match in heaven, even though Salem wanted to be sandwiched in between her boyfriend's adoptive father and biological father.
“Listen, the point is you have a chance unlike me” Throwing her hands towards her chest.
Salem slammed her hands down at her sides. “Shut up! You're beautiful, you are dummy thick and have nice big boobs!” Her face now went red from irritation instead of her once flustered state.
“Then why are people like him not into girls like me?” Aiden questioned in a doubtful tone taking a seat on the lid of the toilet.
“Guys like him only want girls who share the same brain cell as him, or they’re desperate and cling onto him like lost puppies trying to find their owner.” Salem sighed, pacing herself from snapping at her best friend. A hand went to pinch the bridge of her nose with the other on her hip. “Sukuna is a dumbass that doesn’t know what he needs.”
“You mean want?” Aiden asked, clarifying her sentence with raised brows.
Salem shook her head, “No. I meant needs.”
Before the girls could carry on the conversation, a knock came on the bedroom door and Salem peeked her head out of the connected bathroom. “What?” She called out.
“Do you know if mom got the mail yesterday?” Yuji opened the bedroom door, peeking his head into the bedroom and meeting eyes with his older sister.
“Uh… Not that I know of.” Salem responded after a few beats. “Are you waiting for something?”
“Yeah! I ordered a new charger for my laptop since Megumi’s dog ate it.” He answered with a sheepish smile forming on his lips.
“Kuro, Shiro, or-”
“Totality.”
Salem let out a sigh mixed with a groan knowing exactly which dog of her boyfriend’s destroyed the charger. Megumi’s large Akita that usually stays with his biological father has earned the title of the troublesome one. Remembering the time she was house-sitting his dad’s house with him and they stepped out to run a quick errand, forgetting to put the dog outside. They came home to the recliner that Toji crashes out on was torn to shreds.
Or the other time that Totality literally ate Megumi’s door because Toji closed the door on the pooch without realizing the dog was sleeping in there.
As much as Salem loved Totality as if he was hers, she really wished that damn dog got out of its teething phase. But even as a grown-ass dog, it still chews everything in sight.
“I’ll get it after I’m done with my eyeliner,” Salem said with a sigh and slid back into the bathroom.
“I can just get it since the guys are fighting over the showers.” Aiden offered, sliding past Salem to get out of the small bathroom. “Just give me the keys and I’ll head down to get it.”
“Are you sure?” Salem questioned, her eyebrows knitting together slightly.
“Yeah! I don’t wear makeup like you. Just tell me which box and key it is!” Aiden confirmed with a smile.
Salem told Aiden where to find the keys to the mailbox and which P.O box it was, seeming easy that it was inside the office that was open to everyone. Walking out of the apartment and shutting only the screen door behind her, she made her way downstairs while mentally repeating the apartment’s number in her head. It should be simple enough.
Walking into the office, the old ladies that were inside greeted her with kindness in which she returned the gesture with a cheerful smile. It was a nice change to have old people be nice to her compared to how some were while she was working at her pharmacy. Taking her only a moment to spot the P.O box before approaching it, inserting the key, and retrieving the overly stuffed mailbox. Most of it was weekly ads and college newsletters for Sukuna and Yuji. Luckily in the middle of the pile of paper was Yuji’s package for his new laptop charger.
Locking back up the P.O box, Aiden couldn’t help herself but look at the newsletters for Yuji and Sukuna. Reading them as she walked through the office to get back outside. Giggling to herself reading an article about a student holding over another student over a balcony of a frat house, the student that was being held over the balcony was reduced to nothing up their boxers while sobbing and pleading for forgiveness about sexual consent. Having a feeling that it was either Megumi or Yuji was the one who was holding the student over the edge.
Megumi was the sadistically nice one while Yuji was just nice to a default.
But while making her way through the courtyard, Aiden was so consumed in reading the college newsletter that she didn’t see the older man in her way. Bumping into him with ads and the package falling to the floor. Aiden quickly apologized to the man, bending down to pick up the mail while the old man squatted down to help her pick up what she dropped.
When she looked up at the old man for helping her pick up the mail, she felt her heart sink in her chest followed by anger filling her.
It was Salem’s mother’s creepy neighbor that was notorious for getting in peoples’ personal spaces and being an absolute creep to Salem’s mother. Seeing the wrinkled smile on the old man’s face made her sick and watching his eyes look her up and down made her skin crawl.
He looked like a retired old mall cop, skinny with long grey hairs on his arms. He wore a light blue button-up with black slacks. His rectangular head had his hair combed to the side neatly, but the white and grey hair still showed the man’s age. His bushy brows furrowed with the frown wrinkles tugged into a smile. But the smile didn’t look warm.
Quickly snatching up the mail to hurry back to Salem’s apartment, she heard a chuckle come from the old man.
“Good reads in there?” The old man asked, handing her Yuji’s package.
Aiden averted her gaze from him as she snatched Yuji’s package out of his hand. “Sure. Thanks.” She cut the conversation short and stood up to start heading back to the apartment.
But the old man stood up fast for his age and walked with Aiden. “Do you live here at the apartments? I haven’t seen you around here before.” He asked, leaning closer to her to the point she could smell Bailey’s Irish Cream in his breath, making her cringe.
Sukuna stepped out onto the balcony of the apartment placing a cigarette between his lips, lighting it, and taking a deep inhale. Letting the smoke pour out of his nostrils, he leaned against the railing with his hand taking the cigarette out of his mouth. Staring off into the distance with his mind elsewhere, he idly scanned the courtyard down below.
Children that were visiting their grandparents rolling around in the lush green grass, old ladies gathered around the small garden gossiping, old people going into the clubhouse, and Aiden being followed by the irritating neighbor.
Wait. Aiden has their irritating neighbor walking a bit too close to her and the obvious discomfort in Aiden’s features?
His gaze locked on only her and the old creep, watching as she picked up her speed and him traveling fairly close behind. He placed the cigarette up to his mouth for one final drag then flicked it off the balcony rushing his way to get downstairs as quickly as possible, he slammed the screen door shut causing Yuji to go into a panic from how loud it was.
Sukuna was pissed, why would she go downstairs alone knowing there's a creep like him in the area? She could have at least taken Salem with, but even then no one was safe with him around this complex. Sukuna took off past the similar-looking boy on the sofa ignoring his whines, grabbing a black zip-up hoodie that was thrown over the back of the couch.
Aggressively zipping it less than half, he turned towards the door without saying a word to where he was going or doing and vigorously grabbed the door handle walking out then slamming the apartment door behind him still leaving his twin brother there complaining.
He swiftly went down the stairs trying his best to race to them so he could finally put that man in his place, he fucked with the wrong person. His thoughts were racing, just thinking of all the outcomes. What if their creepy neighbor gets super touchy and lays a hand on her, grabbing her by her arm and pulling her more into his grasp, coming close to her face with his decrepit breath.
He’s a dead man, Sukuna flew down the stairs almost jumping the rails to get down faster, as he got to the last step he saw Aiden almost jogging towards the stairs that he just flew down like a bat out of hell. The man kept tempo, asking her personal questions and complimenting her. Aiden looked as if she was tremendously uncomfortable, cause who wouldn't feel that way with this dude, she was more focused on getting back to the apartment that she didn't even acknowledge Sukuna right in front of her.
Lost in her determination, she ran into something and smelt the same expensive cologne, but where from? She averted her head to see what it was that she just ran into, a muscular chest with tattoos peeking out from the collar of his shirt.
The man looked spooked upon seeing the familiar intimidating young man, watching him wrap his arm around Aiden’s shoulders and pulling her close to him. The man scoffed and rolled his shoulders, his brows furrowed and eyes narrowing on Sukuna.
Aiden’s cheeks reddened upon realizing who exactly she ran into. Relieved that the more intimidating twin came out rather than the kinder twin, but now mentally panicking all over again for being in close proximity to Sukuna. As if he didn’t fluster her enough with their morning, but doing it again.
“Can I help you?” Sukuna questioned the man in a threatening tone, leaning closer to Aiden to shield her more from him.
“Just asking the young lady about her day.” The old man responded with a slight shake of his head, feigning innocence in his voice while leaning closer to them and placing his hands in the pockets of his slacks. “She your friend?”
Sukuna smirked with a slight scoff leaving his lips. “What’s it to you, old fart? It’s none of your goddamn business who she is!” He sneered as he quickly got into the man’s face, causing the man to jerk back a bit at his sudden closeness. “Also I heard you went back to harassing my mom again! What did I tell you before, old man?”
“I-I wasn’t harassing her! I was just trying-”
“Trying to start a conversation? Pfft-!” Sukuna laughed in his face, mocking the old man with his scarlet eyes glimmering with deviousness. But that moment of laughter turned into a harsh glare in his eyes. “No one wants to fucking talk to you! Quit fucking acting like you own the damn place and leave my mom alone before I throw your ass over the fucking railing! Got it?”
By the loud and growling tone he used, the man coward back and took a step back. His beady eyes darted to Aiden to see her reaction to Sukuna’s threatening outburst but didn’t want to escalate things even further in fear of the young boy actually doing so.
“Well, hope you kids have a good rest of your morning” He chuckled, carrying nervousness in his voice. “And oh before I forget, be careful around him, sweetie. He’s very violent.”
Aiden’s skin crawled by his words, feeling Sukuna’s grip intense on her shoulder. Was he holding back?
“You don’t think she knows that about her boyfriend?” Sukuna scoffed, tugging Aiden along with him but his eyes stayed sharp on the old man. “Piss off, old man!”
Sukuna walked off with Aiden close to him, his arm never leaving her shoulder. Although she was very grateful to him for saving her from the neighbor, she couldn’t help but feel her heart skipping beats inside her chest at his words. The old man had to know that she wasn't his girlfriend. Sukuna probably brings around tons of girls to the apartment.
‘My girlfriend’
That title kept replaying in her head like a record stuck on repeat. She wasn’t anything to him. She was just his step-sister’s best friend, nothing more! But he shouldn’t throw titles like that around so carelessly if he always had a girl on the side for him.
When they got upstairs and into the apartment, Sukuna’s arm fell off of her the moment they walked through the threshold. Aiden wanted to ask Sukuna what that little act was about but upon opening her mouth, she had a card thrown at her from the kitchen window. Dropping the mail and fumbling to catch it, she looked up to see Salem throwing another card at Yuji from across the room and then to Sukuna.
Flipping the card over, her eyes widened to see a premium black card to Round 1.
“Round 1 sound good for tonight?” Salem asked, waving her own black card in the air between her pointer and middle finger with a smirk formed on her lips. “Sugar Daddy Satoru is buying tonight~”
“Don’t call him that.” Megumi grimaced at the nickname for his adoptive father, fighting back the urge to hit Salem upside the head. Standing on the other side of the window and leaned slightly against the nook. “We would’ve been fine using the cards we already have.”
Salem leaned over the sink to poke at Megumi’s shoulder a few times to gain his attention. “Yeah, but we’re saving money from using Satoru’s money~ We all know how I feel about being spoiled by a rich man~” She sang out with her voice starting out in a higher pitch before swinging it down into her lower vocals.
Megumi turned, grabbing her finger to stop her from poking him. “I’m not buying you shit today if you keep gloating about Gojo’s money.” He threatened, causing both Yuji and Aiden to coo in response.
Maneuvering his hand that was holding her finger to hold his hand, she tugged him closer to lean over the nook a bit more. “You're getting upset over spending his money that we haven't even touched yet." She retorted, her voice dropping an octave. With her other hand, she gently grabbed him by the face with a smirk curling at her lips. "Remember when we first started dating, we played 'Add To Cart' with Gojo? That's how we got your apartment to look so nice? Hm?"
"Stop playing Devil's Advocate, Salem." Megumi lightly warned, his cobalt blue eyes staring back at her maroon ones with a slight frown on his lips.
"No." She denied with a challenging smug grin, gently kissing his lips before letting him go to spin out of the kitchen with a maniac laugh.
Megumi paused for a moment to process the sudden peck to his lips. Letting out a low groan in annoyance, a devious grin formed on his lips. Aiden laughed watching Megumi quickly run around the wall to catch Salem from running into her mom's room. The shrill screech from down the hall had both Aiden and Yūji laughing. Shortly, Megumi came down the hall carrying Salem with his arms around her waist and her arms secured under his.
Sukuna groaned in annoyance at the sight of Salem and Megumi starting to play-fight. Megumi swung Salem over the arm of the couch to toss her on it, she bounced on the cushions before sitting up and grabbing the front of Megumi's white T-shirt. He let out a yelp at her tug, flopping forward, and landed on top of her. Sukuna stared down at the couple with a curled upper lip, not liking the sight of Salem pawing at Megumi while they wrestled on the couch. Let alone hear Aiden cheer on Megumi to restrain Salem.
The sight of Megumi genuinely laughing and smiling while play-fighting with Salem made Sukuna's stomach turn. Salem, his stepsister that doesn't show that much emotion, smiling and laughing with her significant other sickened him for some reason.
Clicking his tongue, Sukuna walked past Aiden towards his shared room with his brother. Aiden looked toward Sukuna, her smile faltering watching him storm off into his room and followed by a slam of the door. Jumping at the sudden loud noise, Aiden turned to still see Megumi trying to restrain Salem on the couch - completely unphased by the door slamming.
“Is he okay?” Aiden asked with her eyebrows worrying together, her lips forming into a frown.
“Yeah, I wouldn’t worry about it!” Yuji answered, hopping around the couch that the couple was play-fighting on. Reaching a hand to the short girl and patting her back, “Sukuna always gets into his moods when he sees Megumi and Salem being coupley. He just gets jealous.”
“I’m not fucking jealous!”
The sound of Sukuna's voice from down the hall had both Megumi and Salem pause in their tussle. The couple exchanged looks, but Salem started giggling deviously and Megumi frowned. She placed her hand on his chest to have him sit up, pulling her up with him as he sat up. Salem turned to face the back of the couch and slung an arm over it with a devilish grin on her lips.
"He's jealous~!" Salem said in an amused tone, too amused for Aiden's liking.
Just as Salem had planned, they decided to head over to Round 1 for their Saturday night out. Although Sukuna would’ve favored it better if they went downtown and hung around there. But Aiden’s and Salem’s social battery could only last so long until one of them gets a full anxiety attack and the other starts busting kneecaps.
Handing out the black membership cards, Yuji immediately took off to start playing one of the games he was extremely good at to rack up some points. Both pairs were left at the bottom floor, but shortly before Sukuna could ask Megumi a game of air hockey, Salem was already dragging him away down an aisle of crane games. Leaving Sukuna and Aiden alone next to the ticket booth.
Aiden sighed at the sight of Salem whisking Megumi away into her hellbent determination to win countless plushies that she doesn’t have room for. Averting her eyes up at Sukuna, he gazed down at her while holding up his card.
“Air hockey?” He asked, quirking an eyebrow. Not really caring if she wanted to play or not, but might as well try shooting his shot since his sister took off with his friend crush.
She shrugged her shoulders with a slight grin forming on her lips. “Sure.”
They proceeded to head over to the nearest area that had the table game they were looking for, Sukuna slid his card and the match was ready to begin. He and Aiden are both competitive by nature but only one can win, once the puck was on the tabletop Sukuna launched forward striking the orange disk with all his force. But little did he know she followed the exact move, sending the puck to zig-zag across the middle line retreating onto her side of the top, having both of their handheld strikers crashing into one another. She scrambled to get the puck over to his side but sadly it was too late.
“Ha, looks like I’m winning!” He chuckled with a grin.
“Not for long,” Aiden bending down to grab the puck to just throw it onto the air flowing top.
She struck it swiftly making the little disc disappear into his goal. He looked up at her to process what even happened. Seeing her eyes sparkle with determination, he couldn't wait to destroy that glimpse of hope she had for winning.
Shaking his head, he let out a low grumble as he took out the puck from the slot and tossed it back on the tabletop. The loud clacks of the puck hitting against the walls of the table and the strikers resonated around them, their eyes quickly following the puck as it moved around. Although he was determined to win, his luck was running out upon seeing that Aiden was three points ahead of him.
In another couple of minutes, the air of the table was cut as well as a little chime went off. Above the table was a small sign that blinked ‘Player 2 Wins!’, Sukuna grimaced at the sign with a curled upper lip. Glancing up, he felt a small jerk in his chest at the sight of Aiden happily swaying side to side with a big smile on her face.
Something about the way her hips wiggled or the small bounce of her ample chest struck something inside of Sukuna. Heat pooled on his face, his muscles straining from his frown into a wonky smile, and demons partying inside his stomach. The second Aiden shot a victorious glance at him with finger-guns, his chest swelled.
Oh shit, he’s gonna die. Why else was he feeling like that?
“I win! You lose!” Aiden cheered playfully, skipping around Sukuna before sauntering off to the next game for them to play. “I choose the next game!”
Sukuna’s eyebrows furrowed. “What? No. I never said I was going to play another game with you, brat.” He sneered.
“Oh, yes you are!” Aiden retorted, grabbing his wrist before he could jerk it away from her grasp. “Salem and Yuji are gonna get pissed if you leave me~” She sang in a teasing manner.
“Yuji is fine by himself and Salem needs a babysitter.” He stated, begrudgingly following Aiden towards the escalators to go back to the lower level.
“Salem has Megumi; She’s fine and when have you cared about your brother?” She joked, glancing over her shoulder at him with her hand still on his wrist.
Groaning as she tugged him along, Sukuna couldn’t help but feel annoyed by this girl’s sudden bossiness. He knows that Aiden is usually passive and goes with the flow, so where the hell did that girl go?
He followed her down to the lower level, letting her drag him towards the shooting games and walking past Yuji at one of the racing games. Though, if Sukuna wanted to, he could’ve yanked his hand away from her the moment she started dragging him but he never realized how small her hands really were. They were barely able to wrap around his wrist, making him realize how small she was compared to him.
How did he not notice it earlier that morning when she was sleeping next to him?
Aiden slid into the seat of a Walking Dead shooting game, letting go of his wrist as he slid in next to her. Getting settled into the game, they both swiped their cards to get the game started as a two-player game. The moment the game started, the two exchanged quick glances before looking back at the game with their hands on their gaming shotguns.
The moment the game began, Aiden was already getting ahead of Sukuna in the game — mostly getting headshots while Sukuna had a slightly harder time getting a hang of the shooter game. She couldn’t help but giggle each time hearing him cursing under his breath, growling, and his knee shaking to hold his anger.
But much to Sukuna’s displeasure, his character died on the third level. Shouting in rage, Aiden couldn’t help but laugh at his outburst, continuing with the game. But shortly into the fourth level, her character died from low health. He laughed at the look of disappointment on her face and a low annoyed groan leaving her lips.
He followed her to the next game she insisted on them playing together, but on their way to the game that was stationed in the far corner of the lower level, they walked by to see Salem jumping and hugging Megumi as another plushie fell into the prize box. Surrounding the couple were a few other Japanese plushies and a couple of Bleach and One Piece figure boxes.
Approaching the couple, the pair was met with Yuji who seemed rather happy. Megumi’s lips formed a flat line with a hue of pink dusting his cheeks upon Salem praising him and giving him a couple of kisses to his blushed cheek. Salem let go of him to bend down and get the plushie, then stood back up to see Aiden and smiled at her while holding out the plushie of a round cat plush dressed as Black Leg Sanji.
“Lookie what Megumi won for me!” Salem cheerily beamed, then slinging over her Loki backpack to put the plush in though her bag already had three other plushies threatening to spill out. “He’s getting better at them! Took him five tries!”
“Better than the twelve.” Aiden agreed with a smile, her brown eyes then gazing down at the other plushies and figures surrounding them. “I’m taking that you won these?”
“I won the chibi Byakuya for her,” Megumi answered as he leaned down to pick up the figure boxes. “Took ten tries but she’s excited nonetheless. Though she won the rest with little to no issues.”
Salem leaned closer to Megumi with a grin, holding three other plushies in her arms. “See~? Using Satoru’s money is better than our own!” She sang in a teasing manner, earning a grunt from him which made her laugh evilly.
“So what’s next? I already racked up enough points to get something big in the prize shop and you have your plushie haul.” Yuji asked, picking up the figure of Trafalgar Law and taking a couple of plushies from his sister. He looked back at his twin and Aiden, “Are you guys done?”
“Ye-” “We were going to play that light game but if you guys have something better in mind, we could go do that.”
Aiden was fast to cut Sukuna off his sentence, he shot a judging stare at the short girl but kept his mouth shut. Crossing his arms and grumbling to himself, hating that his chest felt tight at the mere thought of her taking control. He hated the feeling, the feeling he couldn’t put his tongue on, and she was the cause of it.
Both Salem and Yuji exchanged looks with smiles curling their lips.
“Karaoke!”
Just as Sukuna was about to deny any stupid agreement to singing, he found himself getting dragged up the escalators by Aiden and Yuji. Aiden was fast to agree to it while Megumi had little to no say in the activity choice.
They’re using Megumi’s adoptive father’s money, which meant that they all had free range in what they could do with it. The smarter person would just run up the rich man’s credit card bills but shockingly Salem and Yuji paced themselves with the help of Megumi and Aiden knocking for some reason into Salem’s thick skull. Sukuna could care less about the money.
The moment they claimed a karaoke room, Sukuna was already trapped in by Megumi sulking with him about not wanting to sing. The two take a seat on the couch inside the room, leaving the other three to their own devices. Though Yuji, Salem, and Aiden were all in for it. This was weird because the last time he checked, Salem hated singing in front of people. Yet, here she was setting up her phone to an app to stream her music to the TV.
He felt like he was in hell, Yuji trying to sing but sang off-key, Salem and Aiden laughing mid-song of Panic! At The Disco’s ‘This Is Gospel’, and poor Megumi getting dragged into singing along with Yuji to ‘Montero’ by Lil NasX. He didn’t want to cave into singing, never in a million years. He doesn’t sing, he never will. His sister was in choir throughout high school for a reason; she had decent vocal cords.
Though hearing Aiden sing to ‘Holding Out For A Hero’ struck his interest. Albeit she was having fun, she sounded nice and knew how to play with the notes like in the second Shrek movie. Yuji and Salem singing along as the back vocals, watching Salem and Yuji haphazardly dance with each other like Prince Charming and Fiona made him stifle back a laugh. He liked seeing Aiden let loose, getting into the song, and prancing around her friends with a few broken laughs leaving her.
But what amused Sukuna more was Megumi’s built-up jealousy of Yuji tangoing with his girlfriend; the black-haired male stealing Salem away as she spun away from Yuji and she fell into Megumi’s arms. The swoon that came from his brooding sister ascended Sukuna.
When the song was coming close to the end, Aiden motioned her free hand to Sukuna as she sang the last verses. He turned his head away from her to let out a scoff, finding it funny that she found him like a hero. He was a villain in every story. But then she grabbed his face, turning him to face her as she sang out the last line to see her face almost too close to his.
His breath gets caught in his throat and heat rushes up to his face. Her knee was between his, kneeing the couch under him, and her body close to his.
“You’re singing next, Hero.” Aiden drawled out with a devilish grin, shoving the mic into his chest.
“No.” He responded, staring up at her brown eyes with the best hardened gaze he could muster at the moment.
Just then, Salem snatched the mic from them. “Fine then. Megumi can sing!” She quipped as she stole the mic and held it to Megumi. “But you’re singing right after him, Sukie.”
“I’m not singing!” Sukuna snapped in the direction of his step-sister.
“I-I don’t-” Megumi began but then Salem spun him around to face the screen of the TV.
“It’s okay. Yuji will sing with you to Steve Universe.” Salem assured her lover, mischief sprinkled in her voice.
Aiden sat next to Sukuna on the couch, crossing her arms, and held a slightly annoyed look on her features. As much as he wanted to argue with her about forcing people to do things they refuse to do, he just left her alone. He wasn’t going to sing. That was that.
But for some reason, he was starting to feel guilty for being sore.
Salem took a seat on the armrest of the couch next to Aiden after giving the boys the easiest song to sing from the kid’s show. Leaving Megumi to stammer and try to get out of doing something as embarrassing as singing in front of his girlfriend, her best friend, and her stepbrothers. But Yuji being one of his best friends was trying to make light of the situation and fuck around.
The song began to play, having Megumi mentally panic due to not being able to sing to a song like the one chosen. Already missing the first line while he kept looking back at the other three, Salem and Aiden holding thumbs up. Yuji then leaned close to Megumi, making audible sniffing noises at him. Megumi jerked away from his friend with furrowed brows.
“Dude, stop-”
“You kinda smell…” Yuji’s voice fell into a baby voice, momentarily making Megumi a little self-conscious.
“What? No, I-” Megumi began, but then Yuji leaped over to the other side of him to sniff again.
“Like a baka~” Yuji baby-voice sang, giving Megumi puppy eyes knowing it’d piss him off more and eliciting giggling from the girls.
“What the fuck?” Megumi uttered under his breath and his eyebrows knitting together.
Yuji then took the mic from Megumi, crouching down to the floor. “Eren Yaeger!” He spoke into the mics as he rose up and then held up the mics with the best-determined look on his face.
Megumi slapped his hand on his face, dragging it down, and glared at the boy he called his best friend.
“You know what? No, I’m not doing this,” Megumi justified, causing Yuji to turn to try to save his friend from backing out.
“What? Gumi, no! You sing good!” Salem encouraged in a caring tone, her eyes held pleading towards her moody lover. “Just ignore Yuji!”
Aiden flinched when Sukuna uttered something under his breath and got up from the couch. He took a mic from his brother before shoving him away, turning to the Tv to quickly read the lyrics of the second singer.
Sukuna ran a hand through his hair and side-looked at Megumi. “I can even learn how to love,” He began singing, turning to face Megumi and seeing his cobalt eyes widen in shock.
“Oh, my god! Sukie~!” Salem screeched in excitement, causing Yuji to scramble to sit up from the floor and stare at his twin in awe.
“When I see the way you act, wondering when I'm coming back,” Sukuna continued singing, his ruby eyes moving towards Aiden on the couch.
Her mouth fell agape and eyes wide at the sheer melody of Sukuna’s voice. She is so used to Sukuna’s rough and deep voice that hearing him sing rather calmly to a laid-back song sounded so nice. The nice transition from being brooding to almost prideful played with her heartstrings. A bad boy that can beat ass and sing really good definitely caught her heart. He’s almost like a real-life Jason Dean but worse.
Sukuna then turned to Aiden, grabbing her hand and forcibly pulling her up. “I could do about anything,” He continued to sing to the song, pulling her into him and gracefully twirling her. “I could even learn how to love~”
When Aiden spun to face him, his face grew close to hers with half-lidded eyes and a smirk on his lips. Her cheeks grew warm and her lips pursed into a tight-lipped wobbly line. Sukuna tossed the mic aside, his hands taking hers and starting to dance away with her in an almost ballroom-like manner.
Her curled brunette hair swayed in the swift movements, her eyes couldn’t pull away from his softened gaze on her. She wanted to shy away from him, but it was like he had her in a trance.
Fuck that. She’s enthralled by him.
Aiden wanted to deny every factor that she wasn’t in love with Sukuna. She tried so hard to ignore her feelings for him, but the way this weekend has been going, he only made her fall for him more and more.
It was as if she was trying to claw herself up to heaven, trying so hard to reach that pure euphoria when denying him. But every time Sukuna fueled her senses with little teases, it was as if she said ‘fuck it’ and pole danced her way down straight to hell. Straddling Satan’s lap and riding him into oblivion, feeling the highest peak of ecstasy and never wanting to come down.
Sukuna continued the song by just humming the lyrics, much to the dismay of his brother. Though, Salem fumed at this side of Sukuna, let alone the way he danced almost lovingly with her best friend. But Aiden did look a bit happy, and she wasn’t going to take that away from her.
“... I always thought I might be bad, now I'm sure that it's true,” He sang softly, seeming to only sing for Aiden. Turning her with him swiftly and pulling her closer to him with a small genuine smile curving his lips. “'Cause I think you're so good and I'm nothing like you.”
Being pressed up against him, Aiden could feel his heartbeat quicken in his chest. He then pulled her away from him, raising his arm to have her spin away from him. She took a moment to catch herself, but he was fast to spin her back to him with her back against his chest. Looking up at him, her eyebrows knitted together and her lips slightly parting at the new side of Sukuna he was displaying.
He had to be playing a role. There was no way he could like her.
“... When I see the way you look, shaken by how long it took,” He hovered over her slightly, chuckling softly seeing her flustered face. It was cute. “I could do about anything, I could even learn how to love like you~”
He then turned her around to face him again with an arm wrapping around her waist and holding her close to him. “Love like you~” His voice grew softer, hooking a finger under her chin as he leaned closer to her face.
“Love me like you…” His eyes held plea, almost whispering the final words of the song.
The sound of the piano of the song playing out softly, Sukuna’s eyes glanced down at her lips and then back at her eyes. Aiden couldn’t fight the urge anymore, leaning more on her tip-toes and experimentally closing her eyes.
‘He’s gonna back away. It was an act.’
Her eyes opened upon feeling warm lips press onto hers, gentle and almost experimental. Sukuna’s eyes were closed and his face was relaxed; Aiden now allowing herself to melt into the sweet kiss. Her hands involuntarily moved up his chest to the nape of his neck, her touch gentle yet affectionate. Her heart felt as if it exploded inside her chest and fireworks went off in her stomach.
Feeling engulfed by him, she almost forgot about being in the same room as her best friend, her best friend’s boyfriend, and step-brother. She didn’t hear the coos from Yuji, or the godly noise that came from Salem. It was as if all she felt was Sukuna.
Sukuna pulled her more into him, letting out a shaking breath as he tried to drag out the kiss as long as he could. He didn’t know what he was doing, but he was hoping that this could ease whatever the hell he was feeling.
It wasn’t lust, he knew that feeling. This was warm and fuzzy.
“Choke me like you hate me, but you love me!”
At the abrupt bass and almost screaming, Sukuna and Aiden pulled away from each other to Salem holding a mic and an arm wrapped around Megumi’s neck facing the TV. Sukuna growled in annoyance, turning away from Aiden and popping his knuckles, and letting out a low evil laugh.
“Lowkey wanna date me when you fuck me,” Megumi’s voice was low and almost monotonous doing the next verse, he awkwardly looked behind him to see Sukuna inching closer to his step-sister.
Salem turned to peer over her shoulder with a devious grin on her lips, “Touch me with the lights off and my chains on,” She continued with a giggle leaving her lips.
“Baby, I'm not the right one you should wait on,” Megumi continued with a smirk forming on his lips.
“Gimme that!” Sukuna snapped, stealing the mic from Salem and shoving her away from Megumi. He cleared his throat and brought the mic close to his mouth, “She a freak, lil' bad hoe. Gaspare told me kill it, I said, "Let me grab my Death Note"
Salem and Aiden watched as both Megumi and Sukuna viciously rapped to Corpse Husband’s famous song. Aiden was impressed by Sukuna’s deep baritone voice falling lower to almost match Corpse’s voice. Salem on the other hand, had her lips pursed and crossed her arms. The two watching their boyfriends go at it with the song so effortlessly.
“Megumi sleeps on easy songs but awakes when it comes to emo music?” Aiden asked, her eyes not leaving the boys in front of them.
“He can sing, but he lowkey loves Corpse.” Salem sighed and slumped her shoulders. She then turned her head to look at Aiden with a cheeky grin. “So you’re going to invite me to the wedding, right?”
Aiden snapped her neck to look back at her best friend with wide eyes. “Wait, what!” She exclaimed with her cheeks reddening at her bold statement.
“I never seen Sukuna be that soft with a girl,” Salem admitted with a nonchalant tone, raising an eyebrow and leaning closer to Aiden. “That means he likes you more than a quick hookup.”
“Liar!” Aiden shouted in a flustered tone.
“It’s true! Sukuna would never drop what he’s doing to dance with a girl and then basically ask you to love him in the most genuine voice if he didn’t.” Salem chuckled as she confirmed Sukuna’s intentions. She moved to look back at the boys, now seeing Yuji and Sukuna fighting over the next song. “Hey, we can be like normal girls and go on double dates now!”
“If Sukuna doesn’t flirt with Megumi right in front of us.” Aiden sighed reluctantly, falling back to sit on the couch.
“Not if you give him attention, he’ll forget about my boyfriend.” Salem joked as she joined her best friend on the couch.
There were a few beats of silence between the girls as the twins chose to rap to Eminem’s ‘Venom’. Megumi joined them on the couch, taking a seat on the other side of Salem and leaning against the armrest. Aiden glanced at Salem subtly scooting closer to him with her arm wrapping around his and their fingers interlocking. She smiled, looking back at Sukuna with a short breath leaving her lips.
She’ll get that attention now. Any doubt she previously held washed away when Sukuna kept looking back at her with a hardened yet fond gaze. He wasn’t holding back his interest in her anymore, choosing to just dive into the weird feeling he felt towards her. But his weird aggressiveness wasn’t gonna go away anytime soon.
The moment the song ended, he yanked her off the couch to sit in her spot and then pull her back into his lap. He snapped at his brother and sister for cooing at him for being soft, but he wasn’t going to let go of the hold he had on her waist. Looking away from his siblings to hide the hue of red on his face.
The holidays are going to get even more interesting it seemed like.
