the short answer is that frapru and lietpru are two of my biggest ships, and I think it's both fun and funny to slam them together into one of the worst threesomes you can imagine

the longer answer is that I do think that they are complimentary characters in their friction and chemistry; they all have an interesting historical push-pull of power dynamics and their personalities contrast in a way that I feel leads to some legitimately fascinating interactions. it's about the collectively mutual rivalries, yearning, and complicated degrees of respect. it's about finding peace after a lifetime of conflict. it's about how inherently funny it is that they pass around the single sane braincell like a nightmare blunt rotation of competence and human reasonability.

the joke answer is that both Fran and Tolys are werewolf coded and I think Gil deserves two werewolf boyfriends <3
